“Good local, low-key spot for good Asian food. Plenty of options from Chinese, to Japanese, to Hawaiian. I stopped going a few years ago because it seemed the food taste and quality had gone down. Just a few months ago, I gave them a try again and have been going back on a regular basis. The food tastes very good again, and the quality has been consistently good. Whatever was going on before, they fixed it. Great place for great-tasting rolls without having to go to a trendy restaurant or having to deal with crowds.“
“Went to Sam's for the first time today... all I can say is yum! Food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, very friendly! Love how they cook the kebabs over charcoal out front. Restaurant was clean which is always good sign! Will definitely be back!“
“Unbelievably good food. I had the Memphis style pork rib meal. The dry rub is perfect and delicious. Add the occasion dip of their homemade BBQ sauce for more perfection. The beans were homemade and had a light smoke flavor with some meat in it. The potato salad was unique and delicious as well. They take real pride in their food as they should. Some of the best bbq I had had in a long time…and I try a lot of them! Go treat yourself. Take out only“
“The brisket, pulled pork and bunt ends were great... for LA. The brisket was well seasoned and very tender (almost too tneder], the pulled pork was soft and a good mixed of stringy and chunky pieces but a little too dry and the burnt ends were juicy. The garlic bread was tasty and the cornbread was tender and not too sweet. The homade bbq sauce variety was nice, including the mustard sauce for the pulled pork and maple bbq sauce. For the sides, the garlic potatoes were tasty but the mac and cheese was average because it was too thin and lacked en I ugh cheese taste.Service was quick and efficient.“
“Finally got a chance to try this out since had my eye on it since it opened in the neighborhood. The restaurant is on the smaller side and has about 15 tables total so definitely have a bit of patience if going right at dinner time. They only take reservations for parties over 5. If you go at non-peak times, should be able to get seated right away. The host and servers were friendly and constantly came by to clear plates as they were finished and refill drinks. Food wise, you can order a la carte or from 2 levels of AYCE. We went for the premium AYCE and enjoyed it after leaving stuffed and wagyu oozing from our pores. The meat quality was excellent and while each plate was only 4-7 slices, you can just keep ordering if you can handle all the rich and fatty meats. The carpaccios and other appetizers were good and you can order 1/2 size of many dishes so you don't overstuff yourself. So while the price ($75), for premium is definitely up there, it is fair for the quality of the meats and other options. You have a 90 min. limit so be mindful of that as the food does not come out as quickly when the restaurant is full. Overall, something to splurge on once in a while and if you're looking for premium meats. Friendly tip- wear clothes you don't mind smelling like bbq/smoke as their exhaust system could use some improvement as you can visibly see the smoke later in the night when busy as the exhaust at each table is lacking in effectiveness.“
“Delicious food at a reasonable price. The food was made fresh after I ordered it. Employees were nice. I can't wait to try other items on the menu.Parking: This restaurant is right next to Stater Brothers so there is a large parking lot.“
“It was all really good. We got seated in a booth. The waitress gave us the option to hear her spiel about the drink menu, so we were able to skip that. The food was great. I had the Carolina Pulled Pork sw. It was too much for me to eat it all, but I got the rest takeaway and ate it later. The atmosphere was dark like a good BBQ place. ?Vegetarian options: My friend had the veggie burger and she ate it all and said it was good. It had black beans in it, maybe a little crumbly but still yummy.“
“How I've never managed to come across this place till today is beyond me. The pork belly is really wonderfully good. Paul is really warm and friendly behind the counter. The pork belly is rich, crunchy in the right places, seasoned to perfection. See pictures, go here, eat up, you'll love it.“
“Oh my Lord!!! I have never come across such an amazing family. I had a bad experience a couple of months back and the owners asked me to come back for a second time, and oh my God was it heavenly. I don't live close so it took me a while to return but I am so glad I finally did. The owners Lenah and Richard, I hope I'm spelling it right, went above and beyond to make my and my baby's day. I got to try their pesto pasta! It is amazing! Highly recommend it. Now onto the main dish. The Tri tip sandwich was phenomenal. First of all the size of the sandwich is huge, and it comes with a side. Owner explained sandwich comes dry, and the way to eat it is to put the bbq sauce and then dunk it in this amazing au jus. I could drink that on its own, so good! The short ribs were delicious as well. They come with bbq and they are so smoky and savory. Should definitely get this if it's your first time. And the pesto pasta, yum! Owner also took the time to speak to me about the chickens and explained that they use thermometers to double check everything is cooked well (they really do have them all around). It's just that it depends on the chicken, some just are redder than others, but they are cooked well, since they double check the exact temperature with the thermometers constantly. She was so amazing and was beyond welcoming. I leave this place with a smile and cannot wait to bring my kiddo next time so she can say hello in person. Truly a jewel of a family and establishment.“
“The service was very fast, the sides were soooo good (especially the potato salad and the clear noodles), and the meat tasted very fresh and marinated. Our servers were very attentive and fast. The ambiance was welcoming and clean. Highly recommend this place!“
“An institution with the best brisket in town.Small funky lil shack on Sepulveda you'd drive right by if you didn't already know it was there and were specifically looking for it.They have a lovely well appointed dimly lit dining room and the waitresses are nice and make effort to be charming in that comforting way restaurant staff used to be back in the day.But I'm going to assume most, like me, phone and simply pick up their order to take out.Mostly I assume to also like me maintain some sense of self respect. What with all the hungry sounds of your indulgence of the savory tastings feeding deliciously eating licking your fingers smacking your lips and what not... it's just embarrassing, shamelessly undignified... Nobody needs to see that ツViel Spaß!Christon ツParking: Since is a very small place there is parking albeit limited“
“It was lunch and I was hungry I stopped a new spot to me ! I love trying new places ! It was worth itI went with the hot wings just was in the mood it’s priced well but wow it was amazing the hot wings had the correct amount of sauce fresh chicken excellent dipping ranch“
“Justina was amazing. So upbeat and happy. Her recommendations were spot-on and made for a delicious, enjoyable meal.Parking: Drive around a bit, and you will find a spot. The open locations may not be obvious the first time around.Wheelchair accessibility: The ADA parking is there, however, many people going to pick up to go orders use them. Lazy behavior.“
“First let me start this off by mentioning how FURIOUS I was when I left the hub yesterday. I ordered my food inside and waited an hour to finally receive it. I was like super mad... I even asked the cashier to let the owner of MGF know how angry and annoyed I was LOL. I was complaining the whole way home that I would never go back. Let me tell you something though.. My attitude completely changed when I opened up the bag of food at my house.. Holy shit. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the catfish, Mac and cheese and bbq baked beans. This food was . Like stupid good. Like so good I'm definitely going back and definitely waiting an hour if I have to (I'll place the order on the app next time in advance.) The catfish was super delicate and perfectly seasoned it was perfect... probably the best I ever had. The Mac and cheese and baked beans were the best I've ordered from anywhere in a long time. The cornbread was fire. The meal was so good my wife and I are low key planning a picnic somewhere soon, JUST so we can order the bucket of chicken that they offer so we can try that. My current message to the owner is: Your food is insanely good. 11/10 exceptional. It's still not right to make people wait an hour for it, y'all got to get a more efficient system back there because that's just crazy. The entire lobby was sitting in there waiting for there MGF orders for what seemed to be forever.. But the food was worth it and I'll be back. I'll just place my order WAY TF ahead of time. Thank you for the amazing meal tho.“
“I really meant to include a photo with my review, but it was gone before I could get one. Outstanding BBQ from some genuinely nice people! The brisket was moist and tender and the ribs absolutely fell off the bone. Don’t skip the mac and cheese or the greens. If you’ve been driving by and not stopping, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Eat at AJ’s!“
“Food was okay , service however, was impeccable. The server Maya displayed amazing courage, outstanding dignity, and she shined like a diamond in the light. Her looks were only the start. Our group of 5 instantly fell in love with her the moment we laid eyes on her. Impeccable service from this beautiful woman and everything from the top of her head to the tip of her toes. Her boyfriend won’t do anything about this review . He won’t do anything I promise“
“I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this meat shop! The service was top-notch, and the flavors were simply mouthwatering. Patrick went above and beyond to accommodate my changing order, demonstrating professionalism and kindness throughout. His exceptional service truly sets this establishment apart from any other meat shop I've visited. I highly recommend this place to anyone in search of delicious meats and outstanding customer service.Keep up the excellent work, Patrick!“
“Place has a total revamp and upgraded feel to it. You can tell the guys that run it care. Makes good food and good vibe, great area they cook outside sometimes and it smells great ? try it out, really got that Local Burbank feel Traditional food with Eastern Flavor and care.“
“Stopped by this business earlier this afternoon and met the owner. Was in awe of the quality of food and service. Humble people, incredible quality of food, and a beautiful small business we drove 40 mins based on a friend's recommendation. Personally I don't understand the few haters who wrote negative reviews on this place - all I can say is this place tops every single Armenian food and catering business we've ordered 10s of thousands of service/food from! In summary we loved everything about the place - quality of food, service, ambiance, and will recommend it unequivocally to all friends and family. Moreover, we will go out of our way to order future catering from Gev's kitchen. Way to go my new friend, you earned our business and trust for years to come!“
“Food was pretty good and well seasoned. Chick was awesome, brisket was good but maybe a little thin, links were good, pork ribs were maybe on the dryer side then use to but still good. Cornbread was on point, and cold Mac taste a little store bought.“
“Went to the Smoke House for St. Patrick's Day corned beef & cabbage special dinner. Also had the Tulamore Dew & brew special. Service was excellent. Everything tasted so good. Oh, of course we had the garlic bread. It was a fine evening.“
“this is the only thai place my family gets take out from — simply incomparable to any other thai i’ve had in the valley or LA. the portions are large, the flavor is balanced, and the texture of the rice and noodles are always perfect. absolutely best place for thai in LA in my opinion. highly recommend the pad thai, pad see ew, house fried rice“
“By far the best Chinese food that I have ever had. You know it’s good when you see how many Asians eat there. Portions are smaller. Prices are higher. But they good news is they finally they take credit cards!Dietary restrictions: Can be a little high in sodium. So ask for no MSG if it bothers you. Or just drink lots of water. ?“
“Very clean place and the food was good. They serve most of their meat frozen but still has good flavor. since there was not alot of people there we did not wait long in between meat orders. They provide little sides like bean sprouts, kimchi....etc and a complimentary house soup and salad before you start digging into their meatsParking: About 10 to 15 stalls, very small limited parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Yes handicap parking and no stairs“
“I wanted to try the chicken Kabob wrap, but unfortunately they had ran out. I did try the chicken breast wrap and OMG it was a long wrap. I'm not complaining it looked so good & the taste matched the appearance as well. The wrap was very delicious along with a sauce that they give you. I forgot to take a pic, but next time I'll for sure post one. As for the service the men working there were very nice & attentive. If you're hesitant to stop this is your sign to give it a try!“
“Ohana BBQ is my comfort Hawaiian food spot on Ventura Blvd. They stand out among the others because it's Hawaiian dishes with Korean BBQ. Every time my wife and I go , the gentleman who takes the phone orders is also the one ringing us up and he's so pleasant each time. My favorite item on the menu is the japchae with short rib. They're also very generous with the teriyaki and hot sauce which is a plus. Also the wall of celebrities who've dined there is such a great touch!“
“Marcelo was incredible. He met with me well in advance to plan logistics. He was very easy-going, responded quickly and the food he prepared at our wedding was incredible. He found a way to grill through rainy weather and all our guests loved the asado. I highly recommend Martin Fierro Asados for your events. Muchísimas gracias Marcelo, sos un crack!“
“My go-to spot for a real Middle Eastern cuisine experience is Shawarma House in Sunland. The mouthwatering aroma of sizzling shawarmas and fragrant spices welcomed me as soon as I entered this cozy restaurant, assuring me of a special eating experience. The environment at Shawarma House is warm and friendly, creating a comfortable setting ideal for savoring their tasty cuisine. The welcoming and helpful employees contribute to the appeal by making sure that every visitor is treated like family from the time they enter the building.Let's now discuss the shawarmas, which are the main attraction. Each juicy and properly seasoned shawarma at Shawarma House is created with succulent meat or delectable falafel and wrapped in soft pita bread. The garnishes and“
“WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!! This was so good we had Bruce's BBQ at Montrose for the Beer festival and then one day I'm driving by Sunland and I see his sign. So happy that there is now an establishment that I can get my BBQ fix anytime we need. Pulled pork is killer, I'm a big baked beans person and wow it was so good with all the little bacon pieces mixed in. Hot wings were nice and crispy with just the right amount of spice. Hands down the best BBQ joint in the area and we will be returning soon I recommend Bruce's BBQ to anyone who loves a homemade BBQ made with love and the service is incredible.“
“Excellent spot. We used Uber Eats and everything was packed well. We tried a few Hawaiian BBQ combos including the beef, bbq chicken, and crispy fish, as well as the shrimp fried rice. Everything was really tasty. I got 2 scoops of mac salad & 1 rice, and the sides were great as well. Fairly priced and good portions, too. Definitely recommended if you live in the area.“
“I haven’t eaten the food yet and already want to recommend this place. Vivian has one of the most beautiful spirits I’ve encountered. She makes you feel like family as soon as you walk through the door. She gave me a sample of their bbq baked beans while I was waiting and no lie they were the best bbq baked beans I’ve ever tasted. Also the Kool-aid is A1!!! Highly recommend!“
“First time at Woodranch, and I would definitely go back. The server Jennifer was amazing, and honestly, she's given us such wonderful service. It's been a minute since we've come across someone who looks happy doing what they are doing.“
“There is no other Korean BBQ in my opinion that taste as good as this place. With that being said they are very expensive but worth every penny.Sometimes I bring my son and he doesn't want to eat anything but white rice and even though on the menu it says that everyone sitting down will be charged the waiters and waitresses let us get away with it. That's the reason why we keep coming back because we want to bring everyone here and not everyone wants to eat the unlimited. So this makes it worth it for us so we can all be there as a family. You do want to check the gratuity charges first. To make sure you're comfortable with the way they do things here. Me personally I don't believe that anyone should charge gratuity up front not till after the service is rendered. Because what if you get horrible service and you're already charged for it that's not right. But with all that being said I recommend this place if you're looking for a amazing Korean barbecue. My family and I go here all the time. There's even an arcade in the back so don't miss out on that while you're waiting to be seated.“
“Absolutely stellar BBQ catering service! We hired them for our company event, and they exceeded all expectations. The food arrived right on time, hot and fresh, and the presentation was impeccable. From the succulent pulled pork to the mouthwatering ribs, every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Their attention to detail and professionalism made the entire process seamless. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the delicious spread! If you're looking for top-notch BBQ catering that will impress even the toughest crowd, look no further. Highly recommend!“
“The food is now much better under the new management. We were there Sunday night. Unfortunately it was empty. Of course we had quick service and very fresh food. There were several takeout customers during our stay. I hope more people re-discover this place and it can survive. We will be back.“
“Quite possibly one of the best stick burner BBQ in the valley. Brisket and burn ends are some of my favorite things to get here. They also make sausage, but one of the real kickers are the plate ribs, aka, short ribs, aka Dino bones. Flavor and tenderness like that are a work of art, and they take their time with it. Can't recommend this enough.“

“Wonderful Owners! Give them a try!I'm a foodie and I like trying all types of food and restaurants, especially Filipino food. I sometimes get turned away from going because feel like I will be out of place. I was craving something sweet and started searching Yelp in Panorama City for a spot to grab Turon to try for my first time. I landed on Sally's, so I stopped in after seeing the good reviews. It seemed like a small family run place that does mostly take out orders from small to large. They were getting ready to close but I still I asked about their Turon. They were sold out for the day and kindly advised it usually best to order ahead because they do sell out and it's best to get them fresh. I believe it was the owners, a man and woman working who also asked me how I heard about them and started explaining all about the food choices, providing recommendations, showing pictures and how to order for next time. The best part was they did have 1extra Turon and gave it to me free and refused to charge me. I really wanted to pay but they said it was a sample so I knew what they tasted like for the next time. Honestly, this made my day!!! The owners made me feel so comfortable and welcomed as they could tell it was my first time visiting and I was out of place. It made me feel like I was at my Filipino friends house who is always making delicious food to try. I'll definitely be back to grab more Turon and try all their food. I love supporting small business that appreciate their customers like I saw today. Thank you!!!!!“
“Beautiful location at The Vineyards At Porter Ranch. I ordered the St. Louis Ribs and Fried Chicken Combo with French Fries and BBQ Baked Beans. Everything tasted good and not overly seasoned. I will definitely go back and try some other dishes.“
“I've had their food at Skate Oddity events and it is DELICIOUS! Worth the 20 minute wait. It's not fast food- made to order. So be patient. Yesterday I had the jerk "beef" tacos. The tortillas were grilled to be crispy and the beef filling and sauce was delicious. In the past, I had the pulled "pork" burrito which was also delicious. Very large portions. I always have leftovers or can share. I will definitely try more of their dishes. Excellent quality and taste.“
“Patio Seating/ Dog Friendly!I’ve been coming to this spot for over a decade! They were around even before the movie! =) Fast forward present day- I wanted my niece to try Hawaiian BBQ. She’s been to Hawaii but now that she is older and her palate has changed, I knew this was the spot to take her for our monthly get together!Hawaiian BBQ always has a place in my heart! Growing up in Hawaii the BBQ was a staple, so simple; BBQ, rice, mac salad and a can of Hawaiian Sun!Got the katsu, short rib, BBQ and seafood combos! Of course, she wanted musubi so we got that and it came with 2 for the order, with the drink total came to $95! But dang, the rice to meat ratio was sad ?? rice is cheap… why not load up? Maybe my expectations are too high? LOL but its rice….cant shake the portion out of my head also, the mac salad can use a upgrade– missing star.Parking: Parking behind the building, in the front and structures all around. For guaranteed parking the mall is your best option!“
“I've been to this little hole in the wall. It doesn't have many places to sit but u can always eat outside. They have tables set up around the grill, where they cook there meats. I've tried the pork belly wrap. Only $10. It's more than enough to fill u up. Great food. I've gone back with family and friends and we all love it!“
“My husband and typically enjoy the food here. We have ordered the short ribs, wonton soup, salmon steak, shrimp and crab noodles, crab cakes, egg roles. The restaurant looks meh the service is poor, the parking sucks but the food is always “
“Great KBBQ spot with lots of good quality meats. The only gripe I do have is the parking lot is a bit small, especially when you try to come on a friday or Saturday. It shares its lot with a few other businesses, so it is what it is. Servers are always great & the atmosphere is lively. Definitely a good spot just to grab some drinks as well.“
“Stonefire is absolutely one of the best restaurants i've ever been to. Anytime i have an out of town guest, i have to bring them!!! My husband and i love it here. basically you could order anything on the menu and its guaranteed to be delicious!“
“During our four day stay to ride coasters at Six Flags, my daughter and I ate here several times for dinner. The food was wonderful, the service was good, and the atmosphere nice.First, if you are looking to eat dinner here, either make a reservation or place yourself on their waitlist via their website. Even when we checked their site and it stated no wait for a party of two, when we arrived less than 15 minutes later, the wait was an hour. The atmosphere is nice, but can get rather loud. This is especially true if you sit in a booth near the outside tables that are frequently pulled together for large parties. Both nights we were here, we could hear multiple people's comments and conversations, which were no doubt heightened from the glasses of wine heard clanking :-) It wasn't horrible, but to not be able to hear what someone sitting directly across from you is saying, because of a comment from a person at a table ten feet away, is a bit over the top.Otherwise, the service is what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber, and the staff is attentive. The food is well portioned and you should not have any trouble leaving full after wanting to eat every bite. This was a nice find for a quality place to eat on our roller coaster vacation :-)“
“Words don't mean anything unless you come here and try it yourself. The food is amazing fresh off the grill. You can taste the fire that cooked it. It's that good. Lady in front is courteous and helpful. The place is small but intimate. You definitely can't go wrong coming here.“
