“Came in for a little happy hour birthday get together with some gal pals and had such a lovely time! Great mocktails and drinks, excellent service, and I loved the vintage-writer vibes - think Poe meets Hemingway meets old Hollywood - super fun! Their happy hour is weekday evenings and is $2 off drinks and appetizers - with a decent selection to choose from. I'm not a big drinker so it's always a challenge to find a place with an interesting mocktail selection but Inkwell has some awesome choices!! I went with the Whodunnit Mocktail which has lime, ginger, soda and even spicy agave! It was spicy and refreshing- I loved it! And it wasn't overly sweet which was nice. My friend had their Hemingway Daquiri and she enjoyed it - said it was a truly authentic daquiri! We shared some of their fries - generous portions and comes with ketchup and ranch. Their fries are delicious! Ranch dressing can be hit or miss at restaurants and theirs is definitely a hit! Very nice flavors all around. Service is wonderful - warm, welcoming, and attentive. Truly a friendly locals spot. They have bar seating with TV screens, tables scattered around, and some comfy wrap around booths littered with books and old typewriters- I just loved the vibes! They have brunch on Sundays, karaoke on Monday nights, and trivia Tuesdays. Prices are what you'd expect for the area. Parking is almost all street parking (free) - it was easy to find a spot late afternoon on a weekday. They have a tiny parking lot in the back with valet service on Friday and Saturday nights.“

“We held our son and his fiancée's rehearsal dinner here and it was wonderful. We were on the patio with trees, vines, sparkle lights and a bocce ball court, it was such a beautiful atmosphere. “Don't miss this amazing gem hiding in plain sight on Ventura Blvd! This wine bar is your next happy hour or late night stop. My husband surprised me with our first visit, and upon first glance, I thought we were strolling up to the Tipsy Cow. When we deviated to the entrance of Buvette, I was surprised by an understated front door but immediately delighted with a beautiful interior. We sat at the bar, but the booths were gorgeous and intimate. My husband got the Granacha and I got the Moschofilero - both were delicious and easy-drinking. There are specific wines on the happy hour menu, so be sure to ask. And although not on the physical HH menu, the QR code on the back revealed an online HH menu with the "Adult Lunchable". Between the free bar mix (corn nuts, crunchy chickpeas and Lima beans??), and the Lunchable, it was a perfect amount of food between the two of us to keep it light but to feel satiated. “Overall stellar experience. My boyfriend and I cane here to celebrate. I have a peanut allergy as well as some other food sensitivities. The staff was through and amazing about it. They confirmed that the kitchen didn’t use any peanuts to cook with but did have peanut butter on site for one specific dessert. I was a little concerned since I have had other restaurants cross-contaminate in the past, but they went as far as speaking to the chef and confirming that it would be not where near where my food was prepared. Several staff members even confirmed on three separate occasions that nothing would contain peanuts and be safe for me. On top of the amazing service the food was phenomenal. We got the Ribeye and the chicken entrees and they were amazing the Ribeye steak was the best steak I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend this restaurant.“
“I am a relatively new renter at the Wine Locker, I have been a tenant for about a year. I needed a place to store some wine while I was doing a kitchen remodel and stumbled upon this place. I called and spoke with Cindy, who is just about the nicest big hearted person ever. I have one of the smaller lockers, and have enjoyed meeting So many of the other tenants who are super nice and social. I have even run into other tenants at wine club pickup parties in Paso!! Many times when I have showed up with wine to put in my locker other tenants ask if I need help- it's so refreshing to find a place with friendly people that I am happy to call friends!! If you need a place to store wine- you should call the Wine Locker!!“

It's small with tables very close together, no booths, no table cloths (even for Valentines Day). This seating makes for more noise and less privacy. TVs with sports/news. They do have a nice sized outdoor patio with heaters, but they were not seating there when we went on Valentines Day evening (it was cold that night) It was very busy! Most dishes ran around $21- $25 range. Didn't have wine. I enjoyed the yummy bread, food and service, so we'll be back!!“

“My husband and I came here for date night and loved the food. We got the Steak tartare, hamachi crudo, the carbonara, and the short rib ragu. We also got their tiramisu which was creamy and delicious as well as the butterscotch budino which was equally delicious. The service was good with knowledgeable staff. The decor is chill and definitely not stuffy. I just wish the music matched the vibes of the place, it was very loud in there considering everyone was from the neighborhood out for a Sunday night dinner on a rainy day. “City Kitchen has been one of my neighborhood favorites since I moved to the area. The service is great. I absolutely love coming to a place where the people who work there remember you. The space has so many options for seating, so you don't have to wait long. Everything I have ordered here I have like. I especially love their pancakes. And of course the crowd favorite is being able to buy a bottle of champagne. I cannot recommend it enough. You won't have trouble finding parking“
“Pepper and Pint is a hidden gem in the studio city area! The same owner of Jinky's, Alan, created this tavern concept. Jinky's cafe turns into an amazing tavern at 3pm with delicious drinks and Indian inspired tavern fusion. You can already tell by the plating that the food is incredible. The service is fast and super responsive!The ambiance could be worked on as it still feels like Jinky's but I think they're working on that. “Great pizza. We love the heat and slice option! The only thing I will say is this; the vodka pizza is good, but we think there’s wayyy too much meat on it. The meat is a very strong tasting meat and too much of it kinda ruins the whole thing- makes it too oily, too heavy. Plus the pecorino on top is salt overload in this case.That’s just our humble opinion. We love ordering pizzana and highly recommend trying as many different pizzas as possible.“
“We had our company Holiday party here and I was blown away by everything. They have an amazing space that accommodated our large group, along with a DJ, a dance floor and all the Fun games. The staff was so accommodating and there was always fresh food being put in front of us. They didn't do trays of sweet potato fries and sliders that ultimately got cold and soggy, they actually passed multiple baskets of fresh everything so everything was always hot, crispy and delicious. I spent some time talking to the owners and it turns out they source their food locally and frequently have limited editions of craft beer on tap. This place was a huge hit for our party and I will definitely be going back for burgers and beers. They were both exceptional and I'm always on the hunt for local spots!“

Waiters and staff are epic. Food is good. There's some venue upstairs with entertainment I've not checked out but there is a constant flow of 40 - 50 year olds with young families and urbanites enjoying the night. This was my second time here and both times we were satisfied with the customer service and food quality. Came here on a Sunday for lunch and despite there being a full house we were seated in 10 minutes and food came out quickly as well. Aside from a classic smash burger, we ordered the White Sea Bass with fries and coleslaw, Pacific rockfish with buttered squash and cilantro lime rice and the lightly herb crusted sallys sand dabs with sweet potatoe fries and corn salad. Prices are what you would expect at a restaurant, hovering around 15 to 20 per dish. Would definitely recommend coming here for fresh and well prepared seafood.Parking: This restaurant is located at a Plaza with plenty of parking.“

I've been there three times for different event dinner events, each time my husband and I have not been disappointed. I love the brussels sprouts while my husband raved about the bone marrow appetizer. The salmon was on point and so was the Korean BBQ plate. The presentation is also well done. “I've been coming here to Bodevi many times this past year. I was so stoked when I found out they serve wine AND espresso. I initially was drawn to their WINE FLIGHTS and VEGAN CHARCUTERIE. But lately maybe because of the cold weather I've been craving their LOX & CREAM CHEESE TOAST and BLUEBERRY GINGER LATTE. They pay really great attention to detail because my lox toast is perfectly spread all the way to the edges. The salmon perfectly scrunched for texture (not just laid out flat) and topped with sliced red onions. Then drizzled with oil I think and perfectly garnished with dill and capers...yumm!! Love the orange slices as well! The blueberry ginger latte is so unique and pretty! It has a richness to it like mocha but perfectly balanced. I get mine with oat milk. And I love seeing actual blueberries on it to give it a nice finishing touch. Get this before they switch out their seasonal menu! Once the weather warms up I may go back to trying their wine flights again. I recommend THE DAVID BOWIE so you can have the assortment of white, rose, and red if you're trying their wines for the first time. Other items I definitely recommend are the BURRATA PISTACHIO SANDWICH (I get mine minus the prosciutto to make it vegetarian) , the VEGAN DELI SANDWICH, and the DEVILED EGGS. You can't go wrong with those. They're delicious! They even have an assortment of board games, chess, and checkers that you can play in the private room in the back. So chic and charming for big parties! Service is wonderful! My lattes always come out perfect here made by Caleb and Melissa! And like I said they pay attention to detail. There's also a self serve water station by the bar. Parking is FREE in the back parking lot. Front parking you have to pay for with coins not credit cards. Such an absolute GEM in San Fernando!“
