“It was our first time there, and it's definitely perfect for kids. You order and pay through the app, which makes it easy and convenient. I did think the service would be a bit better since the waiters pretty much just bringbout food, but it took us forever to flag one down. But overall I enjoyed the place.“

“I went to visit some cousins in North County, and I heard about this little Ramen spot that specialized in Hokkaido style Ramen. Which is a region in Northern Japan. There's plenty of parking. There's a fun little ambience inside the restaurant when you walk in with some interesting art on the walls. You can also watch the cooks put your ramen together. The servers are very polite, and informative about their menu. If you have any questions at all they're right there to help. I definitely recommend keeping a sharp eye on their seasonal specials menu, because wow, I am very impressed. I tried the BTS ramen, INCREDIBLE BROTH, noodles, toppings, presentation. It really hit all the check marks and then some. My cousin ordered the menchi Katsu Curry. Super delicious!! I'll post the menus in the photos with the details. All I have to say is I highly recommend this place, and I wish they had one in Central San Diego or East County!!!!“

“Food (5/5 stars): Umami Japanese is a great spot for sushi in San Marcos. They have a wide variety of rolls to choose from and I had the Spicy Crunch because it came with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. It tasted as good as it looked! I enjoyed the freshness of the tuna, and it went well with the spicy mayo and eel sauce. I'll be back to try more rolls! “OMG these shrimp tacos were so good. Thank hod I found a place I can go and eat some delicious seafood. The consomé they have me even before we got our food had so much flavor. My husband had fish tacos which he loved but he love the 7 seas soup. I totally recommend this place to anybody as it was recommended to me.“

Their lentil and spinach dishes are good too. Leftovers are all but guaranteed and taste even better the next day.“

“These guys were the best but out of a food truck usually in front of a brewery. Now they have also taken over where Up in Smoke used to be. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Awesome burgers and sandwiches. Also beer on tap and wine. The location is off the street and seems weird but once inside you will feel at home and keep coming back. Cheers“

“I went here a couple of weeks ago. The food was so good and they have a bunch of different options for sandwiches: beef, vegetarian, chicken, and pork. I got the beef sandwich because there were so many options I was overwhelmed due to the fast moving line. However, as I was waiting I had a better look at the menu. I recommend getting the Number 6 Sandwich next time.When I was there they were so popular they ran out of bread right after I ordered so had to turn people away who wanted sandwiches until they could get more bread. With this in mind it is good to know that they have Pho Noodle Soup and they use real Filet Mignon. My daughter got the soup and she loved it.Lastly, my wife got the Fried Tofu sandwich and she said it was phenomenal. So they have lots of great options.Next time I'm in that part of town I'll be eating there again!“

We don't leave in the area but will definitely be making special trips to come back!!!! We had the Que torta, or house torta. We split it and it was plenty for us to share. The portion is huge. “I went in for lunch today based on their reviews. I ordered the spicy chicken from the lunch menu and asked for it to be made medium spicy. It was quite good. And a good value for portion size. Unfortunately, although I like spicy food.It was a little to spicy even for me . Next time maybe I should order it mild.“

The chicken Tikka was nice the fish and chip so tasty and the my highlight is always the enders aka dessert. The sticky pudding was delicious! I'll bring guests whenever we're in San Marcos.“

“Best Thai food I've ever had! Our table agreed. We got the Tom Kha, chicken and shrimp pad Thai, and the one of the curries. The pad Thai noodles had a good texture. We got a level 3 spice level and it was mild so I'll get a higher level next time. HIGHLY recommend.“

Back on the east coast the wonton noodles are large and very doughy here the are small and soft. Hard large wonton noodles in my soup. “This is our Go-To take-out Sushi place. Love their Bento boxes and we are partial to the Salmon Bento Box. Love the Salmon, and the little salad. The California Roll is pretty tasty. This last time we ordered, the Tempura Veggies coating seemed sort of sweet to me. Not a big deal, but not my favorite. Seems like SOMETHING changed. But the yummy salmon is the star of the show, for sure. The coating is just so, so good. We are now on Weight Watchers so next time we will check out their cucumber wrapped sushi rolls. Try it! Friendly service, even for Take Out. And their real Wasabi is well worth it!!!“

“90% of the time the food is great. Oftentimes, the breakfast burrito potatoes are undercooked. And they always burn the eggs. But the hot sauce definitely makes up for it. I think they have the best hot sauce in town. The prices have gone up considerably recently but I still go here once a week.“

The decor and furniture are a little worn, so I wasn't expecting greatness, but I was hungry and I was there so move forward to getting a table. I always do a lap at any buffet to plan out my portions and selections. They have plenty of selections. Mongolian bbq, Chinese and Sushi. To my surprise the food was great!! The only item that was average was the sushi, but it's usually average at any buffet. All the other selections were pretty tasty!! Not too salty, greasy or over/undercooked. We will definitely be back when I have space for a buffet type meal. One star subtracted for the decor. It needs an update.“
