“A toast to the New Year! What could be better than wine? A winery review, perhaps. Rancho Guejito opened its doors to the public five years ago.The property is made up of estate grapes and a grass-fed cattle ranch . The 32,000 acre rancho is part of a land grant from Mexico to the United States. The winery and vineyard offer tastings, which can be waived with a wine club membership. The cattle ranch provides for a portion of the food served on- site and they offer a meat program to take home. This has become my new favorite local spot to enjoy on the weekend. What is there not to like? Unique Varietals Wine Club (many benefits) Food On-Site Meat Program (beef variety) Live Music Hayrides (with wine pours) Open Seating Holiday Markets (change with each season) and Pet Friendly! I love their wines, my favorite is the red, Terret Noir. I love their meat, we make baja dogs and pot roasts. And, I love their atmosphere on-site, picnic tables spread out, music in the air and the hayride is sure to be a highlight for all Note: The markets here have an array of quality vendors. “My family has been going here for years and my parents love this restaurant. We’ve tried everything from the curries to the Pad Thai to the the different soups. For our last visit we had a beef dish with white rice. Then we also got Tom Kha Gai Soup with one of the curries. Always a nice restaurant to eat at and the food is always good.“

“Excellent! Saw it on maps and just decided to stop for lunch with the family. None of us had ever been there. First off large menu with a variety of dishes. Hospitality and service were amazing! Ordered the house made Mac n cheese with bacon, and split the Bacon -Avocado Burger and both were very good, everyone enjoyed the Mac n cheese that I reluctantly shared with them. Also, the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Everyone loved their food, Cheese steaks, meatloaf sandwiches and Seafood melt were all very good. Good beer and drink selection as well. The staff then gave us an order of beignets which just made the experience better. I highly recommend!“

Right when you walk in you see the smiling employees and you can tell this is a family establishment. The hot pastrami was one of the best I’ve ever had. “I was passing through Escondido from Garden Grove and made a pit stop here for some much needed bánh mì. Bánh mì are some of my all time favorite foods and I eat them 1-3 times per week. Here in Garden Grove, there are probably about a hundred bánh mì shops. However, Son Tra was a delightful surprise because their đặc biệt bánh mì was amazing! I pate filling was generous and flavorful and the headcheese was an excellent addition. I haven’t had headcheese in bánh mì in a long time and love the texture. It was also perfectly seasoned. The carrots and daikon pickles were cut thick and provided great crunch and texture.What an awesome hole in the wall spot! Highly recommended. It was so good, I stopped by again the next day in the way back home.“

“All was good loved the atmosphere, service great ! We ordered the crab shrimp fondue fabulous ! Our entrees were bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp and the seared ahi . Ahi was good but the shrimp I took a bite and had all shell in my mouth the tails were left on under the crab and bacon , so you don't see the inside . Well it scratched my throat I started to gag so embarrassing and sore . Needless to say wasn't interested in finishing my food . Either warn with ordering tails on , I would not order . Or take them off . So shrimp now will be approached differently when I get back to wanting shrimp again .“

“It's no secret there are some great wineries in/around North County San Diego, but this one is truly exceptional. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and inviting, especially the owner who invited our 5-year old to help her round up the pigs on the property. The space was peaceful with plenty of outdoor space. We enjoyed both wines we tried and will certainly be back very soon!“

“Absolutely love this place. I'm so happy we found it. We needed a solid Chinese food spot since we moved from San Diego. And a place with COCONUT SHRIMP???? heck yeah. The portions are fantastic, the prices are great, the food is greasy and delicious. I'm a regular half&half, coconut shrimp, orange chicken fan. My husband has tried several things, loves them all. Their egg rolls are super cheap! Also very good. The Thai tea is tasty, not too sweet which I prefer. It's never been too packed when we've come and the two women that are always working are SO NICE. I was writing this review as I was waiting for my meal and was going to take a photo but then I got home and....ate it. Anyway, 5 stars. I only got a photo of the Thai tea“

So attentive and kept her cool even though she just got absolutely overwhelmed with customers. Checked in on everybody. Was very friendly to my children.The bathrooms were clean. I got the Escondido And would really recommend it. The tuna looked really fresh and my daughter is a huge fan. The chef really hooked us up And gave us a way to my kids delight.. My son got a rainbow roll.Lots of TVs and they had Wi-Fi available as well. Look forward to going again.“

“I love the food hear but some serious cleanup needs to happen. The ceiling is dirty, I know the exhaust hood isn’t working right because the place is always smoky (hence the dirty ceiling), and I could find an inspectors grade anywhere in the building (I honestly may have just missed it). BUT. The staff is incredibly friendly. The food is 9.5/10. And everything else is clean. If you have any kind of breathing problems you may want to wait to come here until they fix the exhaust hood.“

“Awesome spot for good food. The portions are big, the food is tasty, and the people are really friendly. What more could you want from a great local spot for quick, delicious food. This is a pic of the lamb gyro. It’s massive. Fork for reference. The meat was cooked and cut perfectly, veggies are fresh, everything was fantastic.“

“This place obviously doesn't need another 5 star review. But when you're good, you're good. Best tamales I've had. I even bought three dozen frozen and carried them on the plane to Dallas for Christmas. Very well received. The best option is the 2 Tamale Plate with eggs. It's amazing how the soft yolk blends with the masa for this incredible texture and taste. My colleagues swear by the enchiladas with molè sauce but the tamales are too good for me to try anything else. The Mexican rice is so different. It's loaded with garlic and pairs perfectly with the beans. No lard used in the beans. All corn oil. You can't do better in San Diego than this without crossing the border and maybe even then, Jovitas would still win. Stop reading reviews and go eat. Here.“

“I really enjoyed this location a lot. We went in for some sandwiches and the staff was very friendly and very informative. There is no room to sit and eat, but that is fine as well. The menu had quite a few options besides sandwiches as well. We ordered a meatball sandwich and a pastrami. They come in 8 or 16 inches. I actually got a few meals out of the 16-inch meatball sandwich, so that was good. Their bread is perfect; not too crunchy and not soggy. It added to the flavorful meatballs (and pastrami) so that was nice too. We also got a pickle that they split in four so we could share. Really tasty. For a great sandwich made by nice people, this is the place!“

“This is an amazing winery. Stumbled upon this gem after spending the day at the Safari Zoo Park. Wonderful wines (didn’t taste a bad one and hard to choose a favorite) and ambiance. Loved it so much that we became members of the Thirsty Kettle Club and shipped 6 fabulous bottles home. We spent some time talking w the owner, Jeannine…so personable and a true class act. “I'm the mall here there is few healthy options and this place has the most tender chicken it melts in your mouth. The dolmas are hands down the best I've ever had and I came back for them. You can either sit inside or dine outside in the sunshine . The women who has worked here a long time helped me order today and I went with the balsamic dressing , ordered the salad and added the chicken. The price is right too. Feeling full and healthy at the mall makes for much better shopping !“

“This restaurant is definitely unique in that it is truly 100% old school and gives you that nice feeling of a small family style restaurant. The service was great, upon entering we were greeted very nicely and our server was very kind & attentive as well. The food is hearty and filling. The portions were good and the pricing was extremely affordable as well. You can tell that most people that come here are regulars - that's always a good sign. I had the chicken fried steak. It was very tasty and what I expected ( that's a good thing!). I also shared the Texas French toast with my partner. It was delicious not too sweet and just right. If you're seeking a hearty breakfast on a weekend without long lines and tired of trendy brunches.. this is the place to be!“

Sadly the on floor manager, Nick, now claiming to be the owner in today's conversation, will not honor a gift card our friend bought for us a few months back. Nick is very agressive, harsh, and sadly not a good face for this amazing restaurant. Our family has been eatting here for 3 generations ever since they opened. We have watched several sets of family member take over operating this family business, and have loved ever member prior. However, Nick is an unfortunate one. With a gift card receipt stating Nick's name, he denies selling a gift card to anyone but one person. Nick has unfortunately ruined our favorite family restaurant. If the real owner ever reads this, I hope we can work something out. My recommendation, eat somewhere else. Its not worth the gruff service and the potential to get screwed. :/“

You will never not have a place to park any size vehicle. It's a great spot to get a late night snack or an affordable drink. Love it or hate it, this place really serves a purpose. “Love the food, it's hand made and fresh to order. With that being said; it does take time! Be patient. But it's worth the wait! If it's busy, be kind to your server/bartender. They have a core staff and the food quality is unlike any other! Fresh cut fries and their food is specialty ordered locally. Ask for the specials, they have them daily.
