“We stopped off to taste the legendary pie. You can get a slice or the whole pie. I chose unsweetened and it was very tasty. Great pie crust. Apple sweetened with apple cider. No sugar needed.Coffee wasn’t hot enough and the only let down.Lots of parking. And the gifts were good too.“

“I've ridden past this place a handful of time and always wanted to stop. I finally got a chance to stop in and I was pleasantly surprised. Cool motorcycle bar and grill with great food and a decent selection of tap beers. The service was great. I'll be back without question.“

“ICONIC! Kind of ugly, even, a bit tacky, but unbeatable breads and desserts. What would the Santa Ysabel Valley be without this place? Rumor has it that when there was a fire in the backcountry the firemen came here first to make sure that this sacred establishment didn't burn. I have been eating here for more than fifty (yes fifty) years. The recipes have changed little. Make sure and try the ginger fruit bars and macaroons (to die for) And I do like all the cattle brands on the wall. This feels like Texas in East County San Diego. Don't miss this place !“

“We accidentally stumbled on this spot by accident. However this was a pleasant surprise, the food was delicious and I don’t mean like it’s good delicious I mean it’s delicious ….delicious!!!I took a couple of my young friends over here and we all enjoyed our meals. “I cannot recommend this venue enough!! I had the honor of being apart of a wedding there and not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous but the team behind the scenes are outstanding! Ellie gave such a great tour of the venue and knew all of the answers to our questions and Sam the venue manager was there at the event the whole time making sure the day went flawlessly. They all went above and beyond our expectations. Great venue and an even better team that handled everything to perfection! I will be recommending this venue to everyone who is getting married!“

“Stopped in last weekend on our way to the desert. The vibe is laidback and the beers are amazing. We grabbed an assortment of 5 oz pours and headed outside to enjoy the rustic patio. Amazing brews and friendly staff made this the best choice especially when Julian is loaded with tourist and you want to enjoy great beers and conversations with friends and no crowds. This brewpub is where I imagine the locals hang out. I'll certainly be back next time I visit the area.“

“Stopped in last weekend with my dog to relax and enjoy the wines here at Crystal Hill Winery. We were greeted by Scott the owner who served us personally as I chose a comfy glider chair. There was a sweeping view from this hillside location with vineyards and horse corrals down below. I chose a flight of reds. All were delicious and the Whiskey Cabernet was outstanding! I had to try a flatbread pizza and it was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend treating yourself to a visit to Crystal Hill Winery. I will definitely be going back. ~ Anne“

“This place has a nice ambience . Spacious and they have games to play at the large tables . However the service has been very slow every time we have come. I feel like they should warn you about this when you come in. We waited over an hour the first time (granted, they were more busy that day) but today we also waited 45 minutes and they were almost empty when we came in. The food is hit or miss, some items are very good but others we weren't able to finish. I'd come back for a drink and treat if I had a couple hours to spare.“
