“I loooove Sunnyside! My fiancé and I typically come here on saturdays and always really enjoy it. The service is great, the restaurant is cute, and the food is fantastic. I always say this when we're there but I feel like what makes Sunnyside so good is that it doesn't taste like restaurant food. It reminds me of like, the best sandwich you, or someone who loves you, would make to eat at home.“
“I love it here. The burgers, THE WINGS, THE TOTS!! so good. Just tried to breakfast burrito and felt inclined to finally leaving a review. It was big and filling. I was impressed with the flavor of the housemade salsa. Everyone always friendly and helpful. A must try if you are a frequent flyer on grand Avenue. It r if you’re just passing by ?“
“I would go here just for the kindness! Everybody that works here is super upbeat and friendly. Each time I get a drink it’s perfect and I get some weird drinks. Grateful this place popped up in Escondido. Look forward to coming here with my punchcard! Make sure you get one of those to get a come “
“Terrific tacos and the best horchata I've had in ages. Also delicious homemade flan. Great service, too. I have a food allergy and they were helpful and knowledgeable. My kids loved their food, too, so it was a perfect place to go for dinner after the San Diego Wild Animal Park (just 6 miles away). Highly recommend!“
“One of the best breweries in Escondido, it's small but has a great vibe and more importantly, great beers! Join the mug club and you get great pours for a good price. Some favorites are the tropic thunder and the fog of war, but everything is tasty!“
“I had an amazing experience today at EscoGelato. I could persist about the great prices, the cozy atmosphere and the delicious & quality Gelato, but the service here really is something special. They are so kind, welcoming and thoughtful.“
“A toast to the New Year! What could be better than wine? A winery review, perhaps. Rancho Guejito opened its doors to the public five years ago.The property is made up of estate grapes and a grass-fed cattle ranch . The 32,000 acre rancho is part of a land grant from Mexico to the United States. The winery and vineyard offer tastings, which can be waived with a wine club membership. The cattle ranch provides for a portion of the food served on- site and they offer a meat program to take home. This has become my new favorite local spot to enjoy on the weekend. What is there not to like? Unique Varietals Wine Club (many benefits) Food On-Site Meat Program (beef variety) Live Music Hayrides (with wine pours) Open Seating Holiday Markets (change with each season) and Pet Friendly! I love their wines, my favorite is the red, Terret Noir. I love their meat, we make baja dogs and pot roasts. And, I love their atmosphere on-site, picnic tables spread out, music in the air and the hayride is sure to be a highlight for all Note: The markets here have an array of quality vendors. The Christmas market example included everything from honey, paint your own ornaments to photos with Santa! Cheers to the New Year! #RanchoGuejito # SanPasqualValley #TerretNoir #BeansandHanks #OnA HayrideTogetherWithYou“
“Had the Pepper Jack breakfast sandwich with the aoli side and it was delicious!First time here and always have to try a Mexican Mocha, as a test to compare to my Abuela's ? I was not let down and it tastes great, not overly sweet either as some are.The location is quiet and relaxed, plenty of seating inside and out. The staff is attentive and friendly!Recommend and will be coming back for the orange peel Mocha!“
“In a region with a booming winery scene, Speckle Rock is a step above the rest. We've been there a number of times now and always enjoy the view, the wine, and the live music. They're very laid-back about reserving tables for any size party if you call in advance, and every table has a beautiful view out over the valley. A new highlight from our visit this past weekend is their Vineyard Tour. Call to check when this is being offered, but it was an absolute blast to get to ride around the property and see all the fascinating hidden gems tucked away around the vines. There's history in those hills I had no idea of, and it was a great time getting to explore it all!“
“Awesome small independent brewery in Escondido CA. It's definitely an unpretentious location that I love. I consider myself a IPA enthusiast and the Backyard Brewery's West coast IPA is one of my all time favorites. The owner, brewmaster is the bartender and is super friendly and can explain the ingredients of every beer on tap. They also have a store on site that supplies home brewing equipment.I live in Cleveland OH and spend a lot of time in North County. This was a great find and I'll definitely be visiting again soon.“
“This is the most beautiful and elegant stunning winery you could visit in this area! It’s women-owned, their customer service is absolutely stellar and they truly treat their guests like family - it’s refreshing and wonderful. If you enjoy quality customer service hurry up. The views are sensational, the seating is perched on a high overlook too.In Saturdays, they normally have live music, the patio is popping with energy and a buzz. There’s a pizza oven, off to the side, plenty of tables for 2 or even up to 8-10 people! There’s plenty of umbrellas, seating is nice and most importantly John and employees have impeccable service.Thank you to all of Mia Marie staff and owners. You are sincerely appreciated.“
“I love Phatties. So amazing to have a long menu with so many options, all vegan. I recommend the enmoladas and carne asada tacos. Keep in mind the serving sizes are huge here. Food is great and but the dine in is a bit run down looking, but that's part of the Phatties vibe, and it fits in with the post-apocalyptic vibe of present day downtown Escondido with its numerous mostly empty dilapidated strip malls.“
“Great place to sample beers, kombucha, and/or cider. Staff was great in helping understand how to get what you want. They checked multiple times to see we were enjoying.I really love that you pour your own whatever and the machine tells you how much you have poured. Great neighborhood place. Looking forward to next time.“
“So, so good! Went to the bar to order and got stuck trying to pick from all the delicious options. Ended up with The Great Deceiver (TGD), South of Heaven (SoH), and a sharable Starch Nemesis. TGD was a vegan burger from beans that my wife loved. We were both happy that it wasn't a vegan burger trying to be a regular burger. It was crunchy and super tasty. The SoH was everything promised spicy, bacon, burger goodness straight to the face! The fries were crunchy, crispy, and oh so satisfying. Can't wait to go back and try other burgers and the sandwiches.“
“I stopped in for the all you can eat catfish that was recommended by a local. I'm glad that I took his advice. I'm from Eastern NC so I know catfish. We eat it regularly. I can confidently say that this is the best catfish I've ever eaten. It isn't beer batters but instead they use a light cornmeal dusting that becomes perfectly crunchy, combine that with the moist clean white catfish inside and I can promise you that you will remember it for the rest of your life. I hope that I get this catfish in heaven because it's truly heavenly. Ms. Mary is the owner and cooks with love and you can taste it in every bite. It's everything you could ever want. I'm beyond full but I still feel the love in my belly. This is a must eat if you're in the area. Truly an incredible meal.“
“Excellent! Saw it on maps and just decided to stop for lunch with the family. None of us had ever been there. First off large menu with a variety of dishes. Hospitality and service were amazing! Ordered the house made Mac n cheese with bacon, and split the Bacon -Avocado Burger and both were very good, everyone enjoyed the Mac n cheese that I reluctantly shared with them. Also, the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Everyone loved their food, Cheese steaks, meatloaf sandwiches and Seafood melt were all very good. Good beer and drink selection as well. The staff then gave us an order of beignets which just made the experience better. I highly recommend!“
“It's no secret there are some great wineries in/around North County San Diego, but this one is truly exceptional. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and inviting, especially the owner who invited our 5-year old to help her round up the pigs on the property. The space was peaceful with plenty of outdoor space. We enjoyed both wines we tried and will certainly be back very soon!“
“I Own a Philly cheesesteak place downtown so I wanted to try this place out. First off the staff is amazing and friendly. Very welcoming. Right when you walk in you see the smiling employees and you can tell this is a family establishment. The hot pastrami was one of the best I’ve ever had. I love supporting businesses like this. 10/10. Thank you Kelly!“
“Went on a Saturday night while they were doing an Oktoberfest theme with live music. BIG location. Lots of parking, plenty of space inside. Great beer selection with a lot of variety and a couple seltzer options (including non/alcoholic). I tried a flight of IPA's and enjoyed the variety they serve. We ate beforehand but we were told they were serving Oktoberfest-themed food that night. Friendly service over the phone and in-person by the bartender. The live band was playing the usual rock covers but did a great job and the sound quality in the room was professional. The owner also held a beer stein holding competition that was very fun to watch haha.“
“Updating the previous 1 star review I left. This weekend, I visited for the first time since then and they had different staff members that were AMAZING! Super helpful and kind to the many people in line or in the lobby. The coffee and breakfast sandwiches were delicious! Props to the baristas working on Sunday 03/17!“
“This is a casual little winery that's not located on a vineyard, but the wine selection was good and there was a good amount of space to enjoy a little picnic basket with our wine tasting. Staff was nice too. I recommend the red flight.“
“An excellent place to eat! I come here almost every day. It is so hard to find a healthy food at a nice place to eat at reasonable prices. Tina's Too checks all the boxes... Love the fresh cookies and homemade soups... The friendly and honest service is an added bonus...“
“This place gets my view for BEST food in the food court. I had a crave-worthy gyro sandwich. The veggie toppings are super fresh and flavorful; the meat is perfectly cooked, not dry; the tzatziki is balanced and delicious; and the pita is soft and tasty. I'm a big fan of Greek food and this may be the best gyro sandwich I've ever had. You should eat here, you really should.“
“Delicious food great service!!!I ordered catering for bday party of my husband, Kseniya is great communicator we worked together to pick good menu, the guys came with food they set up everything for party, they delivered everything with beautiful decorations on food. All my guests were soo happy about food !!! Thank you so much for testy delicious Cataring and bday cake !!! ❤️❤️??“
“I’ve never been obsessed with a coffee place before. Never had a spot that I ravenously looked forward to returning. They were always “nice” and useful, maybe.James is killing me nicely. The ham and cheese bear claw I had today, warmed, killed me.The cinnamon honey latte and the condensed milk and nutmeg latte have been divine. I’m so so utterly pleased and satisfied that they use whole milk. The foam and foam art from the baristas has been so good and so long lasting. Not too sweet, but also sweet enough, really nice.I’ve also tried a chocolate croissant and was again, utterly pleased. Please live forever. I love it here.I have zero doubts that the quality of everything, which I will slowly make my way through, will be to just as high a standard. The chocolate chip cookie looks expensive but exactly the right texture.“
“We used Cute Cakes as part of our contracted vendors for our wedding at the Carlsbad Windmill. We are so happy we used them! Cute Cakes was communicative from the very beginning about our wedding cake. The cake was absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend!“
“Had a Birthday Party and bought the catering package for 30 people. Everyone loved it! Carne Asada was delicious. Pollo Asada was seasoned perfectly. The beans were creamy and delicious. They give you everything you need. Salsas were tasty. The best thing was a hybrid tortilla: corn and flour mixed.... It was delicious! Ate one by itself. Have gone back just to get more of those tortillas. Great food great service great value. Everyone told us that they loved it. Highly recommend it for your next party!“
“First I want to say this food is amazing great flavors the chillin sauce has some great heat , and the fact that I have not had a good plantains since leaving Pennsylvania, but I did have the pleasure to taste chorizo to include cheese with loroco and jalapeño with cheese, I definitely will come “
“It’s a relaxing place, with good service, friendly people & soulful live jazz music. The wine is carefully make for anyone one with food allergies, A sensitive stomach, and i doesn’t not give you a headache. It’s dog friendly. If you are looking for a place to relax & chill, drink wine that’s smooth to drink, this is the place; outside, surrounded by trees-nature , this is the place.“
“What a gem to find in North County! I was so hungry that I forgot to take any photos, but everything was OUTSTANDING! We got a chicken combo, flautas, and chicken nachos... we have an over-ordering problem, but leftovers are sometimes even better! Quick service, and I'm never mad about having a beer while I wait for my food. Such a cute spot!“
“Love this place. The matcha latte is great. The cheese matcha latte I also enjoyed. It’s foamy and slightly salty but overpriced imo. I’d rather stay with the normal matcha latte.Regrettably got the match latte with kokuto and cream. It’s basically brown sugar jelly added that decreases the amount of matcha latte. The jelly is tasteless and I didn’t like it.“
“Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Portions: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Customer service: 4/5 Speed: 4/5 Price: $$ Outdoor seating: yes ADA access: yes but inside is very small Restrooms: yes- small M/F, one unisex Dogs: yes Vegetarian options: yes Ambiance: casual Pros: great selection of drinks, food is great Cons: service can be slow even when it's not busy, price“
“We had shrimp tacos, steak burrito and cheese quesadillas. My husband inhaled his burrito and the green salsa he got with it, it was that good. And I, well.., I know I maybe shouldn’t make that public but I licked the paper the taco came on ? our toddler ate the entire quesadilla plus my cucumbers. great service, chill atmosphere, good music & fantastic food ???No pictures cause we ate too fast ?“
“It was a really breezy, wet, and cold day, but the winery was beautiful, and the colors were highly and wonderfully contrasted out in the fields, mountains, and meadows below. The heat lamps were on, the service was quick, and the food was delicious! It was a wonderful time and place to enjoy many many old friends at one of their birthday parties!“
“Awesome spot, great craft beers at a more than decent price. Had the Mexican lager and a ‘left coast pastrami’ sandwich. Will definitely come back, the girls at the bar were very attentive. Only minor downside is their early closing time.“
“This is the second time I have been to Dutch Brothers and unfortunately it's not my favorite place. Although the reason for my review is, I must say the customer service is absolutely incredible. I had the pleasure of meeting Amelia in the drive-through today. She was very kind and extremely knowledgeable of the different drinks. I loved her different recommendations And her upbeat personality. Definitely a great coffee experience and that's what sets this company apart from other companies. The whole team seems real sweet. I appreciate the kindness on a rough day.“
“This Pinsa Pizza is better than in Rome! Wow! It's extremely light, made with real Italian flour from molino Iaquone, and it leave you super satisfied, without the heaviness of a regular pizza. Moreover, you have more options:1) eat it there2) get it ready with toppings, and you bake it at home (it's pre cooked, so it will be fast!).3) get the base, and you put your own toppings and you bake it home (again, just the final 5 minutes of cooking).Yum! ?“
“Great great pricing and quality here.I had the pleasure of meeting the owner as well. Super nice guy who works the desk. I wish we had this in central San Diego.Really high quality place. Food was delicious, music was great, and they have a mini-market with tons of options as well. This is a brilliant idea! Family owned since 1985 as well.“
“Such a unique place for a coffee shop. The barista was very nice and patient with me. He answered all my questions. Definitely a good place to just sit and chill out/ study. I ordered the Mexican Coffee and was pretty impressed. Definitely will be back for another coffee.“
“The ambiance is super cute. The donuts themselves are great. They have specialty flavors as well as the traditional basics donuts. The staff and service is always nice when I go. Would recommend to stop by if you're in the area and craving donuts.“
“Service is always excellent!!! The chocolate chip cookie is one of the best I've had. The cookie is pre packaged from another company but still 10/10. The kiddos love their lil rockers mango smoothie and toasted plain bagels with cream cheese. I love recommending Black Rock and will continue to do so!“
“J&m serve American authentic comfort food in fairly large portions like chicken, fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and garlic bread. Portion sizes are very large so come hungry or plan on taking your food home.Parking: Plenty of free parking located around the restaurant on three sides.“
“I went in there this past summer and it was such a cute shop. The food was good and the workers were very kind. Especially this one named Givino. When he took my order we locked eyes and I fell in love. It was love at first sight. His soft brown eyes reminded me of savory drip coffee that they offer, his hair was blonde like the honey that I put in my coffee to make sweeter. His voice was soothing just like chai tea on a warm summer day. 10/10 would recommend falling in love with this man. I mean the coffee shop. Xoxo p.s. that Alou girl deserves a raise.“
“Great BBQ and the atmosphere was a blast. Huge screen for sports. While I was there they had a trivia night which was super cool seeing everyone have a lot of fun with it. The brisket was perfect and the Mac and cheese was so good. Great spot for an all around dinner experience.“
“Really special place here especially if you rent out there dining hall. Really organized & professional, all the waiters and the host were all on there jobs and extremely professionalOMG! There shrimp lumpia or chimichanga whatever it was OMG they are awesome ? ? ?“
“7 years ago I posted about the addition of Clover to this mighty store, sadly it was soon gone. Today 1/10/2024 the Clover is back! The Clover Vertica is the same brewing technology but faster, efficient, and sustainable. I tried the Guatemala today and the flavor was just unrivaled. The friendly Baristas at this store would love to make you a cup of coffee reimagined. Fabio“
“A hidden gem! We are travelers and just wandering around Escondido looking for a place to grub....and they beckoned us in! Super nice guys serving and bartending and really good food!!! Because it was a small place with a relaxed bar vibe, we expected just decent bar food. Nope! The menu was as way better than bar food. My hubby had a great Greek gyro, my son had tasty Buffalo wings, and I had spicy edamame that I loved. Then, my son had two desserts...Choco molten cake and then crème brûlée. Really...in a neighborhood bar? The best part was the fun and personable service. Finding places like this are the best part of vacations!“
“We hadn't had this in a while and we were missing 2 hotdogs. My kids are very picky and were upset (Autistic). When we tried to ask for ketchup, before we left, we were told they didn't have any. We used to get it all of the time.“
“Sushi rolls, ramen, appetizers, everything is great. The atmosphere is great, casual and family friendly. I consider this is one of the best sushi restaurants in the Escondido area.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian ramen, absolutely delicious.Kid-friendliness: They are kind and patient with kids.“
“A locals joint that I've been a repeat offender to this establishment for years. I try to support this small business as often as I can. Everyone who works here are fun, accomidating and fast. If you're ever in Escondido/East San Marcos area, stop by and get refortified in the best way ever!!“
