Julie was awesome at accommodating everyone. The food was outstanding and we even had a request from a guest to get the recipe of the dessert. “Chef Joann was an absolute pleasure to work with. When we first reached out to Chef Joann, she was a little bit out of our price range, but she was able to work with us and our budget in order to be the caterer for our wedding. We went and met Joann and did a food tasting with her and she was so hospitable and nice we knew we had found the caterer for us, not to mention the food was absolutely amazing. Luckily, Chef Joann had worked our venue before so that took all the worries and stress from trying to plan and connect her with our venue and coordinator. She was able to work with us, even through all the craziness of 2020 and we were able to figure out a way to make things work efficiently and safely without jeopardizing the layout or food. The bartenders she was able to bring went above and beyond and really helped to get the party started for our wedding. They were constantly bringing my wife and I drinks as we would be empty handed and socializing with our guests. It was really cool how well the entire crew took care of not only us but all of our guests. With me being the wayI am, I wanted to help Joann and her crew and she would joke with me to be quiet, have fun and get married. It really felt like a family member or close friend was there, had our back and was taking care of us. It was a really cool dynamic and took all the stress out of the day. The food Joann conjures up is not easily put into words. The appetizers she did for the cocktail hour as well as the cheese boards she created for each table were astounding. They were above and beyond anything we had expected. I had guests coming up to me all night commenting on how amazing the cocktail hour was along with the dinner. We are so happy we picked Joann to take control and be a part of our big day. I would highly recommend Joann to anyone who wants amazing a delectable food from someone who is so easy going and easy to work with, you feel like you have known them for years. “We had a wedding at the Old Rancho at the beginning of this summer. It is a beautiful adobe estate, with multiple levels of yard/garden used for weddings. PTD did a wonderful job coordinating and catering our wedding at the location. I didn't hire a planner and depended on their month and day-of-coordination. I did a lot of the planning and then handed over the details to them. They are an efficient and capable team! We are thankful for Kendra who went through the original contracting process and tasting, Caitlin who took over the month of coordinating, and Sam who was our day-of-coordinator. Our wedding turned out beautiful and we had a lot of compliments from guests that are due to the PTD team. The food and service was excellent. Sam kept the vendors to the timeline and kept the micro-events moving. She brought my husband and I drinks right after the ceremony, and our food first during dinner so we actually had a chance to eat. For the venue and service PTD provides, the cost of the venue rental and catering is really reasonable. HIGHLY recommended!“

“I want to start this review stating, I do not eat fish unless it is battered and fried. So, naturally, the only way I'll eat a fish taco is a battered and fried fish taco. I ordered the chipotle fish taco, not knowing it was not a fried fish taco. I was hesitant, but after I took my first bite... I couldn't believe how insanely delicious this taco was!!!! Not only was it absolutely flavorful... it was a large fish taco!!! So many good flavors! The fish was not fishy or mushy and was seasoned and possibly pan fried to give a texture contrast. The chipotle sauce was yummy and had that kick that I love. Loved all the fresh toppings too which makes a fish taco so yummy and balanced! We all ordered something different. My daughter ordered the Baja style and the ginger fish taco! She said she could eat probably 4 more that they were that good! My youngest, who is not a fish person ordered a plain carnitas and she was impressed! Last, but definitely not least... I have to mention the staff! Hector and staff were so nice and friendly, which I always appreciate! Will definitely be seeing them again to eat more fish tacos! I'm so impressed with their fish tacos (not battered and fried btw) that I must try their others! It's funny cause my mom can't even get me to eat fish like that... haha!!!!“

“I hired buckboard for my wedding, and it was the best decision we made for the big day! Ashley was so helpful throughout the entire process and went above and beyond. She answered all of my questions at all hours of the day, provided her expertise when needed, they set the tone of professionalism at the wedding and elevating the guest experience, and our guests, all raved about how it was the best wedding food they've ever eaten. Highly recommend them for your special day. Ps. Get the lobster Mac and cheese. You won't regret it.“

“Absolutely delicious! We came on a Friday for an early dinner and it wasn’t busy at all. You order inside then sit outside. Since we were visiting, we ordered a little bit of everything. All the food was delicious and cooked well. I got the wings, I’d maybe suggest sauce on the side as they had a little too much for my opinion. Out of everything the ribs were our favorite and the hot link was our least favorite. The Mac n cheese was a hit for my kids. If you’re getting fries, make sure to get the Cajun fries, the seasoning was perfect.There is no kids menu, so make sure there’s something your kids will eat before you come.“

“I am so incredibly late making this review, but Terra was absolutely phenomenal for our wedding at the San Diego Botanic Garden in September. They are a preferred vendor for the Garden, but they were by far the most personable and down to earth of all the recommendations. Terra is so incredibly customizable and they work so hard to make sure you are getting what you want and it's honestly for an almost unbelievable price. Everyone we worked with was so awesome, and the food is excellent! The catering went off without a single hitch. They were perfect!“

“I hired Taco Love to cater my wedding in February and would happily look forward to hiring them again for any future event. Consider this a glowing review, and a recommendation to hire them for your events! Guests are still raving about how great the food was ... many of them were so taken by the appetizers that they didn't even realize a dinner course was still to come! After being super disappointed with the attitude and racist comments from a *different* caterer that had been highly recommended to us, we found Randy and Taco Love and it was a perfect fit! From the first phone call, we knew we were on the right track for our event. He was always kind, very laid-back (something that vibed really well with my personality, but something to note if you want things super formal and in writing right away), and very accommodating to the unique needs and vision of our event and venue space. He would always tell us "it is your wedding ... you let me know what you want and we will make it happen!" We used some of his serving dishes, and some of our own. At our tasting, he made sure we had one of each thing on his menu and it all tasted so great! The meat and veggie options were very delicious, and the salsas were incredibly flavorful. From there, the process was very smooth. There was no limit on the menu, he allowed us to choose from everything they make on the truck. The price was reasonable, and he even added a dessert option only two weeks out from the wedding! Our guests LOVED the churros and ice cream. He was right on time for our wedding, and from what we could tell everything ran so smoothly! We had plenty of food for our guest count of 130. My only regret, is that as the bride and groom we were so chaotic that day we didn't get to eat as much as we wanted to! We are already planning a time to catch his truck when we are back in town so we make up for that! Thank you, Randy! We look forward to eating your food again hopefully soon!“

“Affordable Affairs came highly recommended to me from a venue, the Bernardo Heights Community Center. They had just recently used their services for their Christmas party. I was having my father’s Celebration of Life and needed a catering company. I was then given David’s card. I called him and received a response in a timely manner. After we briefly discussed what I needed he sent a recommended menu and an estimate. We liked the menu he sent over but also made a few small changes. David was very accommodating and easy to work with. His prices were fair and reasonable. The service and food were outstanding just as the Community Center had said, and I highly recommend this catering company!!“

“Taco Tuesday? Make that Taco Thursday! These guys started a taco stand outside that's open Thursday 4pm-8, and Friday/Saturday 4pm-9. They make Carne and Pollo tacos and are the best around! I normally have to drive to Chula just to get tacos this good! The salsa is amazing as well, spicy and goes great with the tacos. Grab some beer and tacos to go!“

I ordered the Black Widow Sushi Burrito based on Javier's suggestion and it was delicious! Their service was great too. I was treated with smiles and a warm welcome.
