“Chef Trevor did a great job with a small 70th birthday dinner for my dad at my parents' home! He was responsive and communicative, from the first phone call to discuss pricing and services, to responding to multiple emails about menu tweaks and answering last minute questions. When he showed up, he was warm and friendly, and extremely professional from start to finish. The food was excellent and price was very reasonable for what we got. He even loaded the dishwasher and left the kitchen sparkling clean so there was absolutely nothing to do after he left except put our feet up and digest. Would highly recommend Chef Trevor anytime!“
“We reached out to Big Dev to provide BBQ for our Emloyee Christmas lunch. The portions were grat and the food was beyond delicious. Tri-Tip melting in your mouth. Chicken moist and tender. Ribs with the meat sliding off the bone. Rice, Potatoe Salad, Baked Beans, and Mac-n-Cheese. It was fantastic. Big Dev shows up with his BBQ in tow and the smell is heavenly. “Swiss Grill is Back! After a health issue these guys are back and better than ever! Their chicken is AMAZING but I was also BLOWN AWAY with their ribs. You know you are eating great ribs when nobody is asking for sauce. They are so good they don't need sauce! I caught them at Vista's Saturday market, but they also go to other venues, I also caught up with them at Lawrence welk resort in Escondido on a Monday after they sold out on Saturday in Vista!“

We got a chicken combo, flautas, and chicken nachos... we have an over-ordering problem, but leftovers are sometimes even better! “Our waitress Diana was exceptionally helpful and professional and listened to our orders specifically to my allergies food issues!!! Food was great ! She was excellent!! “We had Harvest Kitchen cater our 120 person wedding in Palm Springs this past weekend.When we first chose Harvest Kitchen, we did so based on a combination of pricing, reviews, and the thoughtfulness that Samantha displayed during our conversations (there were certain ideas that we had that in retrospect made no sense, and Samantha/Harvest were the only people that actually told us so! In a very kind manner). My husband and I are bi-coastal so we couldn't easily do a tasting before making the decision so we went based on gut + trust of reviews!We are so glad we did! The whole process with Harvest was extremely smooth. “Red Tail catering was introduced to us by our wedding venue. We did a tasting with James and his crew and loved the food. When It came down to the wedding they food was just as hot and fresh as the tasting. We were absolutely impressed with the food and have many guests say that was really good food! “The food is top notch. They obviously use the freshest ingredients and they allow those ingredients to shine. We had the spinach, mushroom and artichoke omelete. So good! But, we also had to have the stuffed french toast. It was wonderful. Couldn't stop raving about it to everyone. The service was very good. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful. We asked for minor alterations such as no powdered sugar and cheese on the side. That is exactly how we got our dishes. Kudos to the chef. We've requested the same at other restaurants only to have our requests ignored. This is definitely a new go-to place for us!“

“If you are a bride deciding whether to hire Coast Catering and Crown Rentals for your wedding, stop scrolling book right now!We were new to the San Diego area when we got engaged, which meant we had no local knowledge of best vendors or caterers. Our wedding planners immediately recommended Coast Catering as the best in the business, and having now worked with them I can confirm they are incredible. Not only is the food amazing, but they are some of the kindest people to work with and the service they provide day of is beyond perfect.Our first introduction to Coast was at our tasting. The tasting was fun and the food was delicious. We so enjoyed meeting the incredible chef Barry Layne and Chelsea, the Director of Sales who worked with us throughout the wedding planning process. Barry and Chelsea were so kind and thoughtful with us during the whole tasting, answering our questions, letting us try multiple dishes and appetizers, and explaining to us how the process would work during the next year plus that we were planning our wedding. The hardest part of the tasting was deciding among the many delicious options.As I'm sure many couples can relate to, we have gone to a LOT of weddings during the last few years, and we understand from friends that even the best tasting is not always an indication of how the food will taste day of, when cooked for 150+ guests. Let me be clear: if anything, our food from Coast Catering was even BETTER on the day of the wedding than it was at the tasting, if that's possible. We picked the filet, petaluma chicken, and gnocci for our main dishes, and it was all incredible. We also can't speak highly enough about the arugula salad, which I wish we could eat every day of my life! And the other stars of the show were our passed appetizers: the tuna tacos, sliders, and mac and cheese bites. I could go on and on but to sum it up: it was all incredible, and I'm hoping to get invited to another Coast-catered event soon to eat it all again. A friend messaged us the day after the wedding and said: "I talk a lot about how nobody remembers food from weddings, but this may be an outlier for me."The only thing that was better than the food itself was Coast's service, which was spectacular. Our wedding planners advised us that a major reason to book with Coast is because they ensure the timing of everything is pristine, but I did not know how true that was with Coast until the day of our wedding. Flow is so important to ensuring your day goes smoothly, and Coast crushed it out of the park for us. The servers were so kind and served meals in sync, a small and wonderful touch that so many of our guests commented on and appreciated. I wouldn't change a thing about our day, and a lot of that is thanks to Coast's excellent execution of the food and service.And finally (I could go on and on, as you can see), what I appreciated so much was Chelsea's and Coast's attention to my husband and I the day of the wedding. We had appetizers delivered to us by a server at the very start of cocktail hour-- after hearing from tons of friends that at their own weddings, they never got to try the passed apps. We even had EXTRA apps delivered to us during dinner, which we happily gobbled down as we took a moment to spend time together at the sweetheart table, admiring our big day having come together. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful to us, which I will always remember.Just trust me: book Coast Catering (and Crown Rentals) for your wedding.
