“We are beyond pleased with the superb catering of Ranch Events for our wedding at El Cortez’s Don Room! Ramon was so wonderful, helpful, and professional throughout the whole planning process. First, they brought us in for a food tasting, where they provided generous (full) portions of all food per our selected menu (normal, Mexican or Tuscany food menus)—they even provided us a slice of cake for over 9 cake flavors and let us take home all leftovers! The food tasting for our wedding menu that was provided was honestly the first “fun” moment of our stressful wedding planning process and I enjoyed it so much. For the food itself, it was so delicious and flavorful! I was cautious at first about what to expect for food quality and my expectations were far exceeded. Their amazing champagne amaretto cake is a must try for your own taste wedding cake!! The staff is so wonderful and helpful, and our main point of contact, Ramon, was a great coordinator and scheduled meetings for choosing the table linens and finalizing the wedding timeline, which I appreciated because it made me feel more calm about getting everything in place for our wedding. “We had a wedding at the Old Rancho at the beginning of this summer. It is a beautiful adobe estate, with multiple levels of yard/garden used for weddings. PTD did a wonderful job coordinating and catering our wedding at the location. I didn't hire a planner and depended on their month and day-of-coordination. I did a lot of the planning and then handed over the details to them. They are an efficient and capable team! We are thankful for Kendra who went through the original contracting process and tasting, Caitlin who took over the month of coordinating, and Sam who was our day-of-coordinator. Our wedding turned out beautiful and we had a lot of compliments from guests that are due to the PTD team. The food and service was excellent. Sam kept the vendors to the timeline and kept the micro-events moving. She brought my husband and I drinks right after the ceremony, and our food first during dinner so we actually had a chance to eat. For the venue and service PTD provides, the cost of the venue rental and catering is really reasonable. HIGHLY recommended!“

“Every Friday, our community does a food truck Friday and we've honestly never gone. Most times, I google the food truck and the reviews aren't great, so we figure it isn't worth it. But this was the first time I saw an all 5 star spot, so we had to give it a try. Their menu was concise with three options: burrito bowl, burrito and tacos. They had four meat options: barbacoa, cochinita, asada and pollo. I decided to get the cochinita burrito and my husband ordered the barbacoa, but the burritos accidentally got swapped and we ate each others. They were both good, but the cochinita was definitely the winner! I'm not usually someone who will eat beans, but I loved the ones they used in this burrirto. They were peruanos and were super soft and tender. I really loved the spicy salsa that it came with. It had a nice kick that was super fun! I really hope La Burre makes it back to our community because their food was delicious!“

Beginning with communication, they respond almost immediately whenever you reach out. They are super helpful and know what works best for almost any situation. The food quality was a 10/10. From their back end team to the day of team, they are the best all around. As a wedding planner, they make my job easy. They're always there to answer any questions I have (in a very timely manner), and are there on the day of to make sure the guests (and the planner) are taken care of. On both ends, they work very efficiently without hesitation. Anytime I needed something, they were always there to help. On event days, I also appreciate how the team stays back to make sure all trash is removed off site and will check in with me to confirm that. It's nice to know I can always count of their staff to take care of this so I'm not left behind picking up at the end of the evening. It helps that the day of team at Toast always knows the drill! Staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food to arrive…I mention this not because it negatively impacted our experience, but because authentic, FRESH Italian food is made to order, takes time, and may not be expected by those of us used to an Americanized take on authentic Italian. I've returned several times since 2021 and have had several different items, including a most recent Pistachio Burrata Pizza with imported prosciutto and a garnish of chopped pistachios and arugula.The pizza's crust is fantastic and offers great texture and flavor. The milky mozzarella cheese with the prosciutto is bliss. I liked that they were not heavy-handed on the balsamic but drizzled just enough to bring the pizza together nicely.On a previous date, I had the gnocchi Verona with pesto, bacon, cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms. If you like gnocchi and pesto, this one is a winner. New on their menu for spring is the vegetable calzone filled with fresh crisp vegetables and harvest pear salad. They are both wonderful.A while back, I had the Prime Steak Panini with a delicious and juicy prime flat iron steak. The panini comes with "Prime steak, pesto, banana peppers, provolone cheese, pickled cucumber and arugula" (Pesto Italian Craft Kitchen, 2024). This panini is a must if you like steak and paninis. “From the first moment we connected with Sarah, we knew we wanted to go with her for our wedding day desserts and cake! After being disappointed by the quality of a few cake/dessert tastings from other highly rated vendors in San Diego, we were really hoping to find someone that made tasty desserts, that fit within our budget, and that could bake a beautiful and delicious cake. That’s when we found Sarah’s Dessert Bar. We called and actually spoke to Sarah herself. We scheduled a tasting and actually got the chance to sit down with her, talk about which desserts were our favorites, and hear recommendations from her on what desserts were most popular with guests at previous weddings/events. Sarah was very accommodating in letting us choose a cake type/filling combination that wasn’t on her menu. As we got closer to the wedding, Sarah was very communicative and made us feel reassured that she would take care of everything on the big day. As the days counted down, we found ourselves really excited to eat more of the desserts from Sarah (we even asked her to set aside a small box for us in case the desserts were eaten quickly). The salted caramel macarons, lemon bars, Lemon trifle cups, and Chocolate pot de creme were our absolute favorites. On the day of the wedding, Sarah delivered all of the desserts and set them up beautifully on the dessert table. All of our guests would not stop talking about how delicious the desserts were, and when we cut our cake, we didn’t want to stop eating it after the first piece. At the end of our wedding night, we were SO excited to dig into our special box of desserts from Sarah. We cannot recommend Sarah’s Dessert Bar enough for any special event dessert needs you have. Sarah is our new go-to baker for all of our dessert needs for any special occasion.“

“I hired Taco Love to cater my wedding in February and would happily look forward to hiring them again for any future event. Consider this a glowing review, and a recommendation to hire them for your events! Guests are still raving about how great the food was ... many of them were so taken by the appetizers that they didn't even realize a dinner course was still to come! After being super disappointed with the attitude and racist comments from a *different* caterer that had been highly recommended to us, we found Randy and Taco Love and it was a perfect fit! From the first phone call, we knew we were on the right track for our event. He was always kind, very laid-back (something that vibed really well with my personality, but something to note if you want things super formal and in writing right away), and very accommodating to the unique needs and vision of our event and venue space. He would always tell us "it is your wedding ... you let me know what you want and we will make it happen!" We used some of his serving dishes, and some of our own. At our tasting, he made sure we had one of each thing on his menu and it all tasted so great! The meat and veggie options were very delicious, and the salsas were incredibly flavorful. From there, the process was very smooth. There was no limit on the menu, he allowed us to choose from everything they make on the truck. The price was reasonable, and he even added a dessert option only two weeks out from the wedding! Our guests LOVED the churros and ice cream. He was right on time for our wedding, and from what we could tell everything ran so smoothly! We had plenty of food for our guest count of 130. My only regret, is that as the bride and groom we were so chaotic that day we didn't get to eat as much as we wanted to!
