“I loved this place. such surprisingly good food for a hole in the wall pub. i went for the beef wellington but enjoyed the fresh burrata app i got too. did have some mixed drinks- delicious super kind bartender. i felt like i was at someone's house lol“
“Just had the best afternoon tea at the Kings Head!!Great food and proper good clotted cream for the excellent scones. Very reasonable price, ambiance wonderful, and the service was perfect. The Kings head is a great English pub and I’ve had many a great breakfast and dinner. This was the best. My wife and adult kids all agreed; this is a must visit! Thanks Christine for a great experience and we will definitely be back.“
“Really enjoyed their apps and the hospitality provided here. Even got there early and Marta welcomed us early. But really went for the ambiance (Thanks, Marta) but it was bit of disappointing maybe, the time and the wind/draft as their side awnings or broken. We were a bit also disappointed by lack of food options compared to the online menu. Will try again when it's warmer and less windier.“
“British Pub, food was good except we didn’t love our fish (with the fish and chips). Am older building but has good vibes. Service was excellent. They had a DJ doing some adult family feud games which were enjoyable and we almost won! I would recommend. The salad was amazing!“
“Love this little hole in the wall, literally. It is unknown to most regular day guests. It is located next to the Three Broomsticks. This is a bar that serves drinks. You can even get spiked Butterbear. Drinks are around 15 to 18 dollars. Pretty standard. The line here is usually shorter for Butterbear. Service is quick. Seating is limited, but we can always find a seat.“
“Cute pub. Came in on a Wednesday night, it was trivia night so the place was packed, no tables available so we sat at the bar. It seems that's where the regulars sit as the bartender knew just about everyone that came in. We had a couple of beers and ordered some food. Had a Guinness and an Old Speckled Hen (one of my favorite British beers so happy to see they had it.) ordered some scotch eggs, fish and chips and sausage rolls with mushy peas. I appreciate the mushy peas. It's something I grew up with and really enjoy when it's offered at a pub. The sausage rolls were nice and buttery and flaky. The scotch egg dish was nice with some pickled onions, pickled beets and a small side salad included in the plate. My only issue which is a very small one was the mustard. It's in a jar. I had already used my knife so didn't want to stick it in there to get some mustard out of the jar. I was concerned about using it thinking others might not have been so concerned about sticking a used knife in there. Like I said very minor personal issue. I'd definitely come back k to try more of their British fare. Service is good, prices, fair and a nice pub ambiance.“
“By far one of the best theme park cafes I've been too! So good and lots of space for seating! The theme music plays and atmosphere is wonderful, they also have butter beer! It's non alcoholic and tastes great! We always come here when visiting universal!!! We love it“
“We came here while in town on the recommendation of a friend. Considering the area, the price point for the food and the portion sizes are a deal. We all got variations of meat pies and fish and chips and everything was very delicious. Staff was very friendly and well meaning;my only critique was that service was pretty slow to settle the bill, maybe they were understaffed that day. Regardless this place is worth.“
“Just recently learned this spot is also one of the few Eagles bars in Santa Monica. They could benefit from having more food options but are a solid sports bar with reliable service and strong pours. The Philly cheesesteak style egg rolls were tasty and I'd order them again--Britannia also happens to be a great place for late night karaoke, usually accompanied by a lively, fun crowd. Looking forward to my next visit“
“Very good. Google Maps said I had not visited in 4 years. Ouch. Used to visit several times a year. The taste and size of the fish portions are the same, but I also agree there is a bit less fish inside the batter. But what are you going to do. Getting less for more has been a thing since forever. And I've tried other fish and chip places and none can match the taste and crunchy yummy batter. I like salt too but this fish has never had much. I also love the Zucchini and mushrooms battered up and fried. Chips have never been anything special, just frozen crinkle fries. I don't know what "authentic" fish and chips should taste like but H Salt has good food. Need spice? That's what the malt vinegar is for, or my favorite the Tarter sauce. Go ahead and double/triple dip. Good stuff.“
“Been passing this restaurant for years and often wondered how the food stacks up to other pubs. A company was hosting a lunch and learn here with a free lunch so I thought I'd nail two birds at once, no pun intended...Is never hurt any birds lol. Anywho, I ordered the fish and chips. Service was good. They were attentive to make sure we got what we ordered. My fish was crispy and hot. Presented differently than from another Irish Pub that I've gone to. Paired with the great tartar sauce, it was perfect. I'd definitely go back for more. The fries were meh...a thicker fry would be great. Inside is what you'd expect. I went during lunch so it was pretty quiet but I know things get louder later by the cars that be parked there. Maybe next time I'll have their Shepherd's Pie.“
