“Came here on a Saturday night around 10pm. Pretty packed, but it's not like you are crammed like sardines. My friends and I got some food and it was decent, typical bar food. The highlight of coming here was the cocktails. They have a list of specialty cocktails, and they are all very modestly priced (they are also delicious). Overall, a pretty normal, casual bar to come to with friends.“
“Islands is a classic family favorite. I miss the giant birds that they had at the old location back in the day, however the modern day Islands is fresh take on the beachy island vibe of yesteryear. They have a spacious outdoor patio, bar space and plenty of booths inside. The menu has changed quite a bit over time (they have a burrito on the menu now?), but they are typically known for their burgers and fries. Their fries are so good and they always come in a large portion. I can never get enough! I ordered the big wave and the kid's burger for my son. For your burger you have a choice of bun (wheat or white) or you can do it lettuce wrapped. I thought the kids menu had a lot of great options for littles. My son really liked his side of pineapple! However his burger was SO salty. It was saltier than my big wave burger was, so not sure if this was a fluke or the kids burgers are just saltier. Didn't love it. I enjoyed my big wave. It's exactly what you would expect and the veggies on it tasted crisp and fresh. Service was great too! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Overall the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere is enjoyable. I come here more for the nostalgia of it but I do crave their fries often!“

“This place was awesome. I was looking for a place to have a drink and found Woodman right off Ventura. The bartender Chad was great. He pretty much worked the entire restaurant and did a fantastic job keeping up with the service and being engaged with the customers. It's a sports bar so they had on the games. I didn't really have anything to eat but the chips and salsa. Being a salsa person it was pretty goods. I'll definitely be back.“
“I loved this place. such surprisingly good food for a hole in the wall pub. i went for the beef wellington but enjoyed the fresh burrata app i got too. did have some mixed drinks- delicious super kind bartender. i felt like i was at someone's house lol“
“Had a girls night at Broken Compass, and we had a blast! We did have to wait for a table to open up (maybe 20 minutes), but they had an indoor lounge area where we could order drinks from the bar.Drinks were great! You’ll find unique cocktails from the menu and you can still order OG tiki drinks such as a Painkiller, Blue Hawaiians, and more.I tried the smash burger, per our waitress’s recommendation. I’m not a pickle girly, and unfortunately, that’s all I tasted when eating it. My fault for not reading the ingredients! Paired it with fries topped with Cajun seasoning and with a thousand island dressing. They were SO good!Every staff member we encountered was so hospitable and kind, and went above and beyond to serve us!Dietary restrictions: GF options!Parking: No designated parking lot, but wasn’t difficult to find street parking.“
“A great place for a beer. An excellent place for a pizza. They have a long list of terrific house-made beer, and the pizza is super tasty--the ultimate combination! This place has just the right vibe you'd want from a brewery. The difference is that some breweries feel very industrial. But Macleod feels homey and very local. Case in point: parking can be difficult sometimes. The first time I was able to park in the front lot, but I was blocking somebody. I went around the bar and found the guy I'd blocked in, and we agreed to find each other later and switch the cars. All very casual and chill, which made me feel right at home. Throw in a patio with a "scenic" view of a dark side street and some light industrial businesses, and you get the deal. Two more visits later, it's one of my favorite beer places in L.A.“
“Saw a regular get kicked out today for making a woman feel uncomfortable and refusing to apologize when the Bartender asked him to and after the woman informed the regular that he made her feel uncomfortable (he touched her inappropriately, I saw it, a gracious apology was warranted). Good people work at this bar, I’ll be back.“
“The staff are all friendly beer freaks and they’re excited to point you towards the stuff they like. Hyper-curated taps and a massive can selection that changes constantly. Add in the fact that dogs are welcome and you have the perfect beer bar. No food, just trucks, but I’m giving the food five stars out of runaway enthusiasm.Parking: Parking lot is off the alley behind the bank next door, but there’s lots of it.“
“Plenty of outdoor patio seating, great German beer selection and an abundance of amazing food options. The Jaeger Schnitzel was outstanding with the wild mushroom gravy stealing the show. Loved the potato salad and sour kraut too. Not to be ignored, the Kaiser Schnitzel with the sun dried tomato cream sauce is a great option too. I would be remiss if I didn't sing the praises of the exotic meat sausage sampler plate...AMAZING!!!“
“Fresh cut fries, top 3 in the city! Consistent & amazing staff that always makes you feel welcome. Neighborhood pub feel, but also a great destination for visitors looking for a good bar with good food. Patio is social and location is prime if trying to hit a few different spots around the WeHo area.“
“Great place, great crowd, great bartenders, great tables. This was one of the first places that opened up after the lockdowns, so I'm so grateful to Brickyard for giving me a place to do what I loveI've never had food there, but I'm giving them five stars anyway, bc they're that awesome“
“Just had the best afternoon tea at the Kings Head!!Great food and proper good clotted cream for the excellent scones. Very reasonable price, ambiance wonderful, and the service was perfect. The Kings head is a great English pub and I’ve had many a great breakfast and dinner. This was the best. My wife and adult kids all agreed; this is a must visit! Thanks Christine for a great experience and we will definitely be back.“
“An awesome place. Went there for St Patrick’s Day and had a great time. Bartenders are really professional, friendly, and quick. The atmosphere was really nice. They have a live music in the back, which is pretty cool. Overall, a great place for an outing.“
“Love this bar.. It's easy, great selection of liquors and beers on tap, but the best part is the staff.. You get to know them and they get to know you. They're all great!! Chill vibes too, they usually have a good DJ on the weekends too!“
“Cute little bar, with some amazing service. The bartender was on his own and managed to keep about 50 people taken care of, at all times. There's no food but there's a few places to eat close by. Highly recommend this bar, for a friendly gathering.“
“Excellent hotel - location, access, staff! It was a wonderful, albeit short stay. The location was very good for us to access a few places of interest. Great parking. Great staff. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you! We hope to be back, especially during the Canadian winter season!!“
“Love this little hole in the wall, literally. It is unknown to most regular day guests. It is located next to the Three Broomsticks. This is a bar that serves drinks. You can even get spiked Butterbear. Drinks are around 15 to 18 dollars. Pretty standard. The line here is usually shorter for Butterbear. Service is quick. Seating is limited, but we can always find a seat.“
“Been passing this restaurant for years and often wondered how the food stacks up to other pubs. A company was hosting a lunch and learn here with a free lunch so I thought I'd nail two birds at once, no pun intended...Is never hurt any birds lol. Anywho, I ordered the fish and chips. Service was good. They were attentive to make sure we got what we ordered. My fish was crispy and hot. Presented differently than from another Irish Pub that I've gone to. Paired with the great tartar sauce, it was perfect. I'd definitely go back for more. The fries were meh...a thicker fry would be great. Inside is what you'd expect. I went during lunch so it was pretty quiet but I know things get louder later by the cars that be parked there. Maybe next time I'll have their Shepherd's Pie.“
