“Not sure why the incredibly high reviews. I would do 3.5 if I could but the atmosphere was really nice so bumped it up. It’s a cozy cafe in a cute area, seating is great. Food was fine— not super expensive, but for what it was, a little more costly than I’d prefer. Definitely not memorable, but tasted fine; cappuccino was meh. However, I’d come back just for the vibes since it’s a good place to catch up with friends etc. and I’d be interested to try a different menu item!“
“Solid selection of tacos, counter service, where you order, huge drink selection, including a $200 margarita meant for 16 people (sorry that’s not pictured we must have finished it so quickly). Generous portions, and all the tacos which he would hope for spending at least $5/taco.“
“Pretty good! I would go back to share with my other crew. Your fresh pasta dishes are good! The lobster pappardelle is really good! I want an order to myself! haha. Your mushroom fungi trecce is good. I don't like creamy sauce but this one is good. Hard to find a good bolognese pasta, but this one is good. The hamachi is good, nice tempura element. Lobster roll is excellent!! The family loves the lamb chops!! I am not a dessert person but your sticky toffee pudding is good!!“
“Very pleasant little place. Portions were not as big as some places, and the prices reflect. This is a good thing. The Kale noodles were really good. I was not expecting that. I veered from my usual pork based broth to a chicken and maybe that wasn’t the best idea but over all I was very “
“This is by far and away the best pizza in LA! We pilgrimage from the beach to Papa Vin’s pizza oasis. All the ingredients are made fresh in house. It’s all run by the friendliest family. Do yourself a favor and dine in to experience it piping hot straight from the oven. ONLY CON: all other pizza is subpar after eating here.“
“Every time I'm in Studio City I always have to stop by this spot. Service: Amazing, fast, friendly and very helpful. Seating: it's actually decent considering the exterior is small. Positive atmosphere inside, and some outside seating. Overall a very enjoyable vibe. Coffee/Pastry: You. Must. Try. Everything. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask. The obvious question: Is it better than Starbucks? Oh yeah! If you're in the area this is a must stop for coffee lovers.“
“Love this place. Cute, peachy and family owned. Great people and service. Prices were great too. Street parking can be tough but you can place an order online for a quick pick-up. I got an iced coffee, some toasts and a smoothie. I loved EVERYTHING! Menu is small but everything on there is great - just how I like it. So happy this local gem is a part of my neighborhood! Also happy to hear they're opening more locations so other can try their peachy deliciousness soon!! :-)“
“The Ventura Blvd. location is small but it is packed with a store team that cares about the individual unique experience of each patron visiting their location. They are Super Friendly. Let me tell you right now that you will most likely stand in a small line outside the shop because once you're inside you will want to sample several amazing flavors of ice cream that will make your taste buds dance. Once you've picked your flavor/flavors, you will have a choice to have a cup or cone. I chose a large waffle cone and cup. The Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge was super delicious. We also had the Arbequina Olive Oil, it was equally as good. Thank you for the perfect dessert to cap off our date night! Yum! #SaltandStraw #LAEats #TastingTheValley“
“Solid American Restaurant serving up good burgers and drinks! They have a solid tap list for beer!House chips are crunchy and addicting.Their fries are crispy and solid with the aioli sauce!Burgers are supposedly American wagyu! It was a nice melt in your mouth patty. The toppings are something serious. Amazing bacon, pretty good mushrooms, delicious camerlized onions. It tasted even better in the toaster oven the next day.Service was good, they were busy waiting many tables. Donavan was helpful and attentive.Nice interior decoration. Good feelingI would come back again for the burger and beer!“
“This has been a favorite of mine for over 15 years. The pepperoni pizza is the BEST pizza in town. 2 for 1 Happy Hour is great. If you like sports they have every game playing on so many TVs! Great bartenders and servers. It's an awesome place !“
“Located in Studio City and serving patrons since 1964, Vivian’s is a classic diner option in the valley. It’s very small on the inside with only a few large tables. They also have more seating in the back, but we were able to find a seat for two in the front for a 10:30 Sunday brunch. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot so it will be metered street parking, which is not that hard to find in the valley. Our server was polite and all of our items came out quickly. I am giving 4/5 stars because the food quality isn’t as good as some other places close by like More Than Waffles, Bob’s, or Paty’s and the inside could use a cleaning. The floor was very dirty under our table and the table next to us even complained about it.I started off with a Coffee, which is my go to order at any diner. For my meal I chose the Eggs Benedict with a Biscuit on the side. The Eggs Benedict had a nice flavor but the eggs were undercooked and runny. They did not have the true poached consistency with the yolk covering the dish, it was too watery and splashed out as soon as I cut into it. Also the biscuit was as flat as an English muffin and really lacked the biscuit or buttermilk flavor. We also ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were actually very good, but it’s also very hard to mess up pancakes. It was not a bad meal by any means, but certainly not as good of one as others I have had close by on the same street.Overall I would say it could be an option if you’re already in the valley and the more popular spots have too long of wait times.Parking: no parking lot, only metered street parkingWheelchair accessibility: no stairs or incline to enter/exit“
“A+ 5 star coffee ! I love this place. Great energy , great coffee and the owners/workers are so personal and inviting . The location is easy to find, the interior is nice with a lot of seating only con is it's hard to find parking sometimes but it's worth it for great coffee .“
“I went there after 11 o clock to satisfy some late evening munchies and was psyched to find out all their baked goods are gluten free, and they use organic ingredients. For a gf cupcake it was especially rich and satisfying! I should have taken a picture but I was busy!“
“If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would.A great 'neighborhood' place, that gets to know you and very accommodating and fun to talk to.Rebecca and Sue will always greet you with a smile, with fun events going on here and there. All of them are great for a conversation, and everything they do is top notch.Erin and Ferrin are lovely as well, they seem to really hire well.I highly recommend this place, it's a highlight in the neighborhood.“
“I always come to drip n roll and do homework here. They have the most comfortable seats and their always so nice and never care how long we stay for homework. They make the best coffee and I come everyday from how much I crave it. I love this place and I hope you guys check it out!“
“This is what happens when you support shitty businesses like Tendergreens studio city. Mazza actually had great food, nice ambiance, kind staff, and good music too. They didn't deserve to close! We need to do better. Never forgiving this community for actively supporting the business next door that has numerous health issues and bad service. I hope Mazza can come back one day.“
“The food is fresh and flavorful, I just personally prefer more veggies in my burger. It only has grilled onions and jalapeños as options. Would recommend to try it if you haven't but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again. I still think In N Out and 5 Guys are better options.“
“My go to smoothie and smoothie bowl place! They make their smoothies with fresh vegetables and fruits (no added sugar or juices). They also have lots of unique and healthy options to choose from. Even their food is delicious! My favorite is the turkey avocado panini. Additionally, they have freshly made and refrigerated shots each for a different purpose such as detox, wheatgrass, turmeric, collagen, etc. I highly recommend this place I’ve never had a bad experience, always a quick and healthy option for a morning or mid afternoon boost!“
“This place is the absolute best!!The prices are good and the food is delicious. The breakfast burrito is wonderful and I love the Fiery Skillet!! I am never disappointed and Ruben and Aleccio , the owners are always there with smiles making sure everything is perfect. So sad the golf course is closing BUT...the food lives on! Cafe Southwest will have a truck at Beeman Park that will start in May!“
“On Sunday we went for brunch. The good was ok. I got the chicken and waffles and my friend got the salmon Benedict. The food was average. Nothing really special with the meal. The bar was great. This place is much better for drinks than for food.“
“I’m not a fan of sushi, but the food in this restaurant was really great. Went here with a friend of a friend who knows the place and we eat what he considered that is best. We shared around 5-6 different sushi and all were delicious. The restaurant is on this location from 1975.“
“After Universal Studios we wanted to eat some tacos. We found this place. It was late and we where a group of 10. There was no room indoors since there's only booths inside so we sat outside in the patio area. The waitress was quick on bringing the outdoor heater to warm us up. We ordered tacos and a cup with corn on the cob. The food was authentic and tasted like it should :)“
“Ordered a beef chorizo burrito with a mocha and a matcha, all were incredibly delicious but that's not whats ultimately keeping me coming back. The service here at this Civil is top notch. Mickey, Mateo and Mark were incredibly patient, they gave excellent recommendations and their vibe elevated my day. Not everyday day is a good day, but leaving this place this morning made my day so much better.“
“Always a great choice when you're in Studio City. A tavern feel indeed from the second you step in. Wood covers floor to ceiling all washed in a warm light. The seats at the bar are usually taken up, but it's because it just has a feel good, neighborhood hang vibe. Menus are all over the walls, listing food, a decently sized beer list, and some wine/cocktails. It might take a minute to get your order in; it's "order at the bar only", so be patient with the bartenders as they juggle their multiple job assignments. We always seem to order from the small plates menu, just so we get a little bit of everything. Fried chicken sliders, chorizo sliders, Brussels sprouts, and pork belly skewers are our regular go-to's. Grab a table inside or post up outside on the "patio"; the empty lot next to the building has been converted to an open air hang, complete with picnic tables, heaters if it's cold, lots of hanging greenery, and even an Air Stream trailer (where you can order drinks depending on the season). Find street parking or valet for $10.“
“Our favorite is the Diavola pizza - its rustic, wood fired, and has just the right amount of spice with the spicy salami. The restaurant frequently sends out coupons for desert or pizza deals, make sure to try the Nutella zepolle - they are delectably fried and tossed in sugar. Very friendly staff who always make sure to get your pizza to you on time.“
“Wonderful as always. Was waited by Pani, who I know from both LA and Studio City locations. Hadn't seen her in a couple of years, and the moment she met me as I came through the door, I was reminded of what a warm and gracious hostess she has always been. Plus, the fairly priced vegie soup was as warm and wonderfully filled with my fave orange, white, and green delectable that I fondly remember that keep me coming back for more!Vegetarian options: PlentyParking: Large shared lot“
“Service was a little slow for having 3 tables in the whole building. The food was really good. We ordered some drunken noodles and 2 pad see ew. They were delicious. I asked for a 7 spice level. Boy, did it have me sweating. Even though it was spicy I couldn't stop eating.“
“Went here for the first time last week with my girlfriends, rebecca was our server and she was so sweet. I was indecisive about what to get and she recommended the peruvian steak sandwich IT WAS AMAZING!!! Will definittely be coming back super clean super great staff. this review is for the studio city “
“My favourite cold brew. Great spacious calm environment. It feels like being inside one of those café ambience YouTube videos. Very friendly staff. Nice area close to shops. Lots of parking and a lovely view of the hills. Would love it if they had more vegan options, but the avocado toast is delicious!Vegetarian options: The avocado toast is vegan if you order it without the cheese.“
“Great service and quaint neighborhood surrounding it with cure shops up and down the street. There's stores to buy clothes that are not too pricey and a variety of eclectic shops with interesting themes to check out before and after dinner. There's coffee places and candy stores and ice cream there's gift stores etc and If you don't mind that Robert Blake who was the actor in Columbo - sh ot his wife there after dining then go give it a try. Waiters and staff are epic. Food is good. There's some venue upstairs with entertainment I've not checked out but there is a constant flow of 40 - 50 year olds with young families and urbanites enjoying the night. It fills up in the evenings. Very popular.“
“I love this place because it's the closest and possibly only shop that has dairy free ice cream. It's in an adorable small outdoor mall with ample parking. There's never a huge line, it's open late, and the service is very patient. I like coming here after dinner to grab a scoop as a treat since it is expensive. But the menu has a good variety and my picks have been tasty so far.“
“My favorite Argentinian restaurant in L.A. with reasonable prices. I always sit at the bar, and the bartender is always very friendly, professional, and attentive. Water glass is always full, and she asks if I want another drink when my glass is low. Very good service here. Highly recommended.“
“Ambiance and service here were good. The food js also good. Although the ramen places at Sawtelle are much tastier, this place is still decent if you are craving for ramen and don’t want to make a long drive to Sawtelle. Although this place has a long waitlist, its still worth to give it a “
“British Pub, food was good except we didn’t love our fish (with the fish and chips). Am older building but has good vibes. Service was excellent. They had a DJ doing some adult family feud games which were enjoyable and we almost won! I would recommend. The salad was amazing!“
“A relic to visit if you are in Studio City. Up there in status like Mel's Diner or Bob's Big Boy this little burger shop situated in a decomissioned train car has great food and an awesome setting to enioy it in. I have come here since I was a kid, I have seen alot change in the area and it is still around after all this time. They have got it down and I hope they will be around for my kids to experience!“
“We had the most pleasant time at LA LA Sushi! It really was incredible at how the service was the friendliest we've ever had and the sushi quality was amazing. Thank you LA LA Sushi for the hospitality, we will most definitely come often.“
“So delish! & location is nice. If you don't like your meat red on the inside, definitely ask for it to be cooked more Well than Rare (didn't realize how Rare mine was until I was already into, so just followed thru)Parking: Free 90 minute parkingWheelchair accessibility: I love that this area is wheel chair accessible“
“I frequent this location and the staff makes me feel like family. The food, juices, and smoothies are top tier. They always have samples for you to try which makes it easier to choose. If you're looking for quality food, healthy options and great taste , this is your spot!“
“Tried this store randomly because I needed a pick-me-up during work (I used to work across the street). I got a cookie and a mocha. Everything was good, but nothing significant about the flavor. I only went to the Laundry Bar out of convenience really. They primarily offer laundry services, but also coffee and snacks, which is unique! The plaza itself is chill, the Laundry Bar offers limited seating. Cute place.“
“One time I had a bad experience at Peet's Coffee in Tarzana didn't step foot in a Peet's coffee for over 10 years. I recently received a gift card and decided to give them another shot. This location is amazing both in service and the quality of the coffee. I've been a couple times since and there is always a place to sit and enjoy your coffee. Shout out to the staff for always making me feel welcomed and greeting me with a smile.“
“This is a must if you're in the Studio City area. You haven't had a real acai bowl until you've had Ubatuba. I love the acai base with strawberries, mangos, bananas, overnight oats, chocolate chips and peanut butter drizzle ? I will be getting an acai bowl everytime I'm in this area.“
“My boyfriend was obsessed with place forever telling me how phenomenal the burgers are! I finally had a chance to try it and I'm impressed. We called in and placed an order for pickup. The decor in the restaurant is cute and reminds me of an old burger spot from the 50s, a diner feel. They burgers are customizable and come with many options. I selected to have my burger on a bed of lettuce (they do have gluten free buns here) the burger was a huge portion and filled me up! The burgers are pricy here but worth it. Fantastic crispy fries and house ranch hit the spot. Highly recommend coming in with the family, on a date, for a meet up with friends or ordering to go. The workers were friendly and I noticed it was quiet when we were there, show this place some love! We will return for more burgers and fries in the future. A comfortable place with decent quality items that doesn't make you feel sick hours after eating it, like most greasy food. You can tell they put a lot of time, attention and love in to their food.“
“It's a 5 for food. Always consistently good chicken and fries. Probably the only fast casual restaurant that has fries that hold up well being transported. However, on my Uber eats tonight, my Loaded fries had no chicken and I was missing the extra sauce I had ordered which was very disappointing.“
“We had a very tall waiter and sat on soft, low benches. The only thing I wished for was a pillow, but that did not decrease the joy of dining. When we were browsing the menu, out giant waiter suggested that we check out the brunch menu as well. This proved to be a wonderful idea. I chose the Breakfast Burrito and my friend selected the Huevos Enchilada with a sunny side up on top. Both of us practically licked our plates with out tongues. I can't recommend Mexicali any better than that.“
“As a first time customer, I got a simple roast beef and swiss sandwich w/ lettuce/tomato/mayo.The bread they use has a great texture and flavor, it's a good step up from Jersey Mike's or any other chain shops. The roast beef seems high quality, I'm not sure where they source it but it was very good. It's not a huge sandwich but for $13 I was happy.I also had to try the $9 a slice Eastside cheesecake and man was that delicious. It's hard to find great subs in LA but this is my new favorite spot. The only better place I found so far is Eastside Deli in downtown LA. It's a long trip from Studio City though so I'll only go there as a treat.“
“I order from this location often. I don't remember any issues, but today, Natalie assisted me over the phone with a GrubHub order and she was amazing. She remembered several things that are particular to my usual order and assisted with some exceptions.Very much appreciated. Gold star for all of them, but especially Natlie, today!“
“What I love about Le Pain is that it consistently offers good food, meeting my expectations, and sometimes exceeding it. Its setting reminds me of cafes in France, with just the right ambience. And the bakery section adds such a lovely touch. I like that it offers both indoor and outdoor dining. And though there’s the option to valet, it’s usually easy to find parking on the street.“
“My husband and I are loyal Joan customers. We have been coming here for years the food and atmosphere is always 5 stars but from all the times I’ve been here the service we recieved today from Janelle was outstanding. She was remarkably attentive, consistently checking if everything was to our liking. She noticed me and my husband were sharing a salad, she promptly brought us a plate without us having to ask. Janelle's exceptional service has left a lasting impression, and we look forward to returning, hoping to have her serve us again.“
“I got the Soojoo Muffin sandwich and I ordered on Doordash. Great fix during work!!! I loved the chipotle aioli (?) sauce that it came with and the dill sauce inside was amazingly fragrant. I don't think I'll be getting the orange juice again because it was pretty pricey but it's a great little breakfast and the to go bag was put together very nicely.“
“I have to write this up while the food is fresh on my mind. Had an incredible meal here last night complete with cauliflower hot wings, two incredible vegan rolls of sushi (I'm not vegan and literally couldn't tell) and these jalapeno Boyz that were absolutely delicious! In short, I was absolutely blown away by the food, the service, and + bro, they have SNAPPLE. No photos because we devoured everything, no crumbs left behind.“
