“This is by far the worst breakfast experiences I have ever had. If I could put zero stars I would. We put our order for scrambled eggs and eggs Benedict. Waited an hour and a half, finally went in to see what was going on and our order was never made. (Computer mistake) which I understood so then I asked to have our order to go. We waited and our food wasn’t put in to go containers. So we ate our food and they messed up scrambled eggs. They were inedible. Overall just terrible. They had such high reviews it was very upsetting.“

“So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

“Such a unique dining experience. Quite a few celebrities have also eaten here. They have a special booth you can reserve that’s pretty much in the kitchen but idk if I would ever reserve it because it’s also on the walkway for everyone to enter the restaurant. We were placed on the upper level. It was very quiet and secluded. The food is ordered for families so the whole group had to decide on food. The waiter was so attentive. Our drinks were topped off. He had such a great attitude and knew the menu very well. This was a great experience all together. And hands down 10/10 stars for that waiter. I can’t remember his name but whoever was working on the evening shift on 5/5/2024 on the top floor (the older gentleman) he deserves a raise.“

“5/5 Written from a former bakery owner. My family owned a bakery in Detroit for 40+ years and sold it during Covid in 2021. I know baking and so does Toluca Bakery. Excellent customer service. Family owned shop with the mom and son working when my friend and I went in. So much variety, and the price point is low for all you’re getting.This is a bakery making old school, classic recipes. They veganized so many items that you can’t find in most places. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious, concha’s super tasty, Tres Leches was chef’s kiss, turnover amazing, danish great, cupcakes yum, eclairs fantastic and empanadas scrumptious. Highly recommend. Plus for folks who like supporting small business, this is exactly that. It’s a win-win-win-win. Taste-options-price-family owned & operated. Get there!“

“Solid American Restaurant serving up good burgers and drinks!They have a solid tap list for beer!House chips are crunchy and addicting.Their fries are crispy and solid with the aioli sauce!Burgers are supposedly American wagyu! It was a nice melt in your mouth patty. The toppings are something serious. Amazing bacon, pretty good mushrooms, delicious camerlized onions. Not much of a dining room, I would recommend just doing carry out. That being said the ingredients and overall taste were FANTASTIC, one of the top 5 pizzas I’ve ever eaten! The shrimp soup was perfectly spicy and packed with wonderful flavors, the appetizers (hot wings and chicken skewers) were outstanding and my entree - pad see ew with beef was just perfect. “Brigadeiros are very rare to find in LA, so I consider myself lucky indeed to live near not just any brigadeiro shop, but an incredibly top notch brigadeiro shop. Maya herself is usually working behind the counter, and is such a kind and helpful person with any questions you might have about the sweets. And not just sweets--I also highly recommend the pão de queijo that she makes, perfectly cheesy and gooey Brazilian cheese bread! Lastly, Maya's brigadeiro favor boxes for weddings and parties are incredible, if you're looking for a truly unique favor that all your guests are sure to enjoy. We had brigadeiros as favors at our wedding, and Maya was beyond helpful throughout the entire process in choosing and designing the boxes, as well as which flavors to pick out. Couldn't recommend her more highly!“

“Really nice pizza place. My wife has celiac so I was looking for gluten-free choices. She tried the sweet potato crust which was delicious. I also got the Philly cheesesteak which tasted really good. Super friendly people and we ate in the store and the food was delivered quickly!“

“This is one of my favorite brunch places in LA! The loco moco hits everytime and the matcha pancakes are something I order every time I eat here. Their pancakes are also something that my friends and I love to share. Service is fairly quick, I'd say food arrives 10 min after seating. They do get busy in the morning, so be sure to come early!“

“First time I even noticed this yogurt shop inside of Gelson's. I figured I'd give it a try. Glad I did. First off, Fernando and Kevin are awesome. Very pleasant. Fernando allowed me to try as many flavors as my heart desired. The service he provided was excellent. I tried their sweet vanilla and vanilla tart yogurt, chocolate yogurt, and some of their ice cream flavors. Everything was absolutely delicious. I ended up getting the vanilla sweet yogurt mixed with the vanilla tart yogurt. It was the perfect combination of sweet and tart. The texture of the yogurt is very smooth. Absolutely loved it. They also have a huge selection of low carb and low sugar flavors they alternate daily (see attached monthly calendar for flavors). Looking forward to trying how these taste next time I come. “Wanted a non-chain savory breakfast and Miracle Bakery popped up. Super nice owner has a sparkling clean,adorable corner bakery across from my motel. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese,lettuce, avocado) with brewed coffee for $10. Can't beat the taste, quality or service.Vegetarian options: Ordered the breakfast sandwich, very good, just skip meat. There are a couple other choices.“

“For all espresso snobs, it's legit! I was pleasantly surprised. I got a latte. Never get syrups or sugar and very balanced and smooth. Interesting notes. Really nice. Milk was great texture and temperature. I don't live close but anytime I'm in the area I know where I'm going. “Very friendly and helpful staff. The ice cream is great if a bit pricy but isn't everything nowadays? I'm not a fan of overly sweet ice cream. The coffee and peanut butter were great choices. I took the suggestion of peanut butter and chose coffee since it is one of my favorite flavors. The peanut butter wasn't too sweet and the flavor was strong without being overly so. The coffee was better with the sweet level since the bitterness helps cut it down.Parking: Street parking only, so you may have to park a distance away and walk to the store.“

“We have visited Tarme several times and we have been very happy with the food and service & the cleanliness of the restaurant. We have ordered several of times the fried fish. It is a whole fish crispy on the outside but tender on the inside . Very tasty with a pita, hummus & tabbouleh. My husband and I share it & we love it. We have also tried their chicken and beef kabob and these are also very delicious. Outdoor patio seating is a nice option if you want some fresh air.“

I ordered the Mexican elephant mocha, a ham and cheese croissant, and a banana bread loaf. Each one of these items far exceeded my expectations. The mocha was not too sweet, with just a hint of spiciness, and the croissant was delicious. The banana bread, no joke, was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Run, don’t walk, to this place!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options, including that incredible banana bread.Parking: Probably eight or so free parking spots on the street out front.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely kid friendly atmosphere.“

“Could not recommend Sugar Babies more! I reached out to Mae via email to inquire about a dessert spread for a baby shower. I sent along some inspiration photos for the theme and requested a quote and she got back to me with the best prices in the LA area. Not only did the desserts turn out so cute, they were delicious too! Such a big hit with the guests. Mae was great with communicating via email exchange and pick up on the day of was seamless. We will definitely be reaching out to Mae and her team for more events and dessert needs.“

“Sugar bloom has some of the best croissants I've ever had. My go to chocolate almond croissant is car artisan chocolate in Pasadena but usually by the time I get there they're sold out most of the time so I've been on the looking for another place to get my croissant fix and I can safely say I've found it. You have to order two days in advance and pickup before 3pm but it's worth it for sure. Everything I got was good and I plan on trying the rest of their offerings over the next few weeks. The lady at the door was also super friendly. The store was easy to find but parking was kind of hard to find when I went at 1pm.“

“I am a big fan of Thai food and have tried many places around the Los Angeles area. This is by far the best Thai food I have ever had. The food tases fresh and is extremely flavorful. The portions are reasonable. My roommate, who does not normally eat Thai, went there with a friend and loved it. So I had to try it. The Basil Fried Rice is unique and delicious. We both enjoyed the Grilled Chicken as well.“

As an adult with a busy schedule, it's my go-to after work spot to grab a take out sandwich before they close for the night. In that regard, both Jonathan and Carla are AWESOME!! They truly demonstrate exemplary customer service and in general are lovely people to chat with as I wait for my food to be ready. Their capicola sandwich and italian fries (my go to order) are the best in LA.“
