We were greeted by Sharon, who, upon learning it was our first time, took a minute to explain how everything worked. She passed the word onto our server Earl, who turned out to be AWESOME. He explained everything in detail, guided us through the process, and mixed us a couple of complimentary sauces (!). Throughout the meal he was always nearby when we needed him, even though he was juggling us with other tables (which he also handled brilliantly! Could hear him making legit conversation with other patrons). The sauce bar included desserts & appetizers, and he made suggestions for which ones to try (they were all good)! He and Sharon were both very hands-on and helpful as we were packing up our broths to take home. They both took a lot of initiative and were genuinely “present” with us.The whole restaurant was also extremely clean & well-organized — there was obviously a lot of attention paid to both food safety and customer experience. Food was incredible of course. Very very impressed, and will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Dietary restrictions: The sauce bar includes labels & recipes for vegetarian and gluten-free sauces/ingredients, as well as labels for major 8 allergens (including soy). As I left, I spotted an area with candies (for children? while waiting for a table? I only glimpsed it) and each was clearly labeled with “CONTAINS WHEAT,” etc. If you have allergies and tell a staff member, I have no doubt that they would make recommendations and let you know what is available.“

“While visiting Bloomingdales for the first time, we saw a picture of this restaurant’s signature xiao long bao on their window. We decided to come back to try out the different flavors of these soup dumplings. We didn’t come once, but twice. First time we ordered the dumplings, wonton soup, wood ear, and pork chop. For our second trip, we were joined by a visitor from Taiwan who shared with us this restaurant group’s brand of over 10 eateries all over Asia . And how lucky we were to have stumbled upon their first North American restaurant here in OC. For our second trip we tried fried rice, noodle soup, tofu, cucumber, and ordered two deserts, black sesame mochi, and red bean glutinous rice roll. Both were freshly made, soft, easy bite and just the right amount of sweetness. Overall the portions are not huge, as you might expect, the pork chop has a soft skin, not the crispy Japanese style pork Katsu. Every dish was well prepared. They even elevated the taste of a simple fried-rice. The decor is upscale modern, the service was prompt. The server patiently explained their menu, their signature and popular dishes for us to try. When we couldn’t finish our meal, our leftovers were packed in an insulated bag. Next time we are in OC, we would definitely have a meal there again. If you do try their soup dumplings, remember to start with the original flavor, then work up the flavors: black truffle, cheese, crab, garlic, BbQ pork, Szechuan and finally kimchi. No, the kimchi is not too intense, you can do it.Vegetarian options: One person in our group is a vegetarian so we ordered, several items from their vegetarian menu-tofu, cucumber, wood ear.“

Although I do want to mention it took the server awhile before she came back to our table to grab our order. Poor girl, she was running back and forth. I appreciate the effort!So my ginger fish, really good and not too salty. They fried the fish pieces and than sauteed in a soy type sauce. I loved how crunchy and how the fish was super tender. For my side I wanted soup but they haven't made it yet. Luckily they're so good we'll definitely be back to try the soup. Lover's kung pao chicken was even better! Although it got pretty salty after a couple of bites. Going back and forth between the ginger and kung pao chicken was a perfect balance. It's worth mentioning going back for that hit of chicken always catches me off guard with how much umami flavor it carried. I want to say it tasted like *ahem msg, BUT the menu clearly states NO MSG. That's how good it was! I love everything about this restaurant so far and will definitely be back soon. A tip for parking: Super tight small parking located in the same plaza as Oli Boli donuts. “Hit the spot!! I was craving some tofu and decided to order from Lantern Garden. I ordered the country style tofu, and a couple other meals for the week. I got the shrimp fried rice, country style tofu, and kung pao shrimp. I skipped the appetizers and just went with entrees. The country style tofu was good. I love the firm tofu! Yummy. I enjoyed the shrimp fried rice too. That was really good and the shrimps in that were cooked perfectly. The kung pao shrimp definitely had some heat to it, but it was still good. Overall, all 4 of the entrees I ordered came out good. I love that they have a happy hour special on door dash!“

Nestled in downtown Fullerton, it's just a short walk from Twisted Vine, where we initially gathered with old friends from Southern California. Eager to continue our conversation in a Korean-style setting, we opted for beer and Korean appetizers. A pitcher of Asahi beer accompanied by Salt & Pepper deep-fried pork (돼지 탕수육) and Wontons with Chili Sauce hit the spot, all recommended by our friendly waiter. Despite the slight chill on the outside patio, they promptly turned on the heater for us, ensuring our comfort as we savored the atmosphere, cuisine, and service during our 40 years of friendship celebration.“

They offer a variety of meal options but I think they're mostly known for their sizzling plates and beef dishes.Our group had the com bo luc lac (shaken beef with rice), com suon cuu nuong sot bo toi (lamb chops with garlic butter sauce and rice), and com ribeye sot bo toi (ribeye with garlic butter sauce and rice). Even though we ordered all dishes with the red rice, there were other options to choose such as white rice, fries or bread. I'm not exactly sure what's in the red rice to even describe it. I wasn't a big fan of the red rice but to all their own.The lamb chops and ribeye were presented on a sizzling plate with a side salad with vinegarette dressing. Lamb chops were tender and ribeye lacked flavor. The star of the meal was the bo luc lac. It was also tender, shaken with plenty of sauce, and had chunks of garlic. It was absolutely delicious! The plate also had a side of watercress and onions that complimented the dish well. It was so good, our table had to order another. Portion-wise, I'd say it's a single serving. You may not want to share it with how delicious it is.Service was great, too. Now, I saw another reviewer mention this, so I will too. Just FYI, their drinks are served in small styrofoam cups. They do charge $0.50 for water. It's not a deal breaker but I guess some people may not like it. I'm assuming it's the charge for the cup itself.“
