“This place is small and amazing! The staff was so welcoming! My husband had a fried chicken sandwich with fries. I had the fried catfish, tried the black eyed peas, and shared the Mac and cheese!!! We were so impressed! The catfish is definitely southern. We enjoyed everything including the service. Food came quickly, cooked perfectly. The cornbread is so delicious!!!!! It was clean, we loved the wrapped silverware. We will definitely be back! Also you cannot beat the price!!!“

The side dishes are great, they’re the best on some days and ok on others - it depends on when the batch is made. Sonu BBQ has become my favorite KBBQ place in the southern CA region. “Super fun experience, I've never had Korean BBQ in a restaurant like this before. Not bad for a first time visit. I'm a pescatarian so my dishes were somewhat limited. The seafood offerings are great don't get me wrong. I was with family and it was a wonderful experience overall. The bulgogi, baby octopus, chicken, beef, sides were tasty?, everyone had a great time we were there for like 2hrs?, we have a big family. Corn cheese... get it!!“
“Rib Shack serves up some real quality BBQ in a quaint, homey location. I'm mid way through a SoCal BBQ kick and stopped here with some friends after the San Diego Spartan. Food was ordered at the counter and served in Styrofoam containers, which we ate in the patio seating area. The selection is great, from your standard meats (brisket, ribs, tri tip) to more off the beaten path choices like catfish. You can order most options as a sandwich or part of a combo platter. Of what we tried, the ribs were the clear winner (truly fall off the bone tender), but everything else was great as well. The Mac and Cheese side also deserves its own shout-out - the perfect level of creamy and cheesy! Everything is clearly smoked on-site - you can actually see the smoker from the outdoor seating area, which is a neat touch. I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area or passing through!“
“The food is excellent! Sounds crazy to say - but the braised cabbage was my favorite. Don't miss that. The pulled pork was juicy and not fatty. The chicken had a slight resemblance to Jamaican jerked. Mac & cheese and small corn bread muffins. 3 dishes fed all 4 with a bit of leftovers. Will definitely be back soon!“

“I hadn't been in Enzo's in years, but decided to give it another try. I actually ordered from the Italian menu because I was craving pasta. I ended up getting the creamy pesto basil pesto with chicken and it was delicious. There were sun dried tomatoes and broccoli. I really enjoyed the sauce to pasta ratio, which I am super picky about, as well as, the thin nice sized chicken pieces. I feel like this pasta plate was near perfect, it would have been perfect with a few more of the tomatoes for flavor. I also got a side order of garlic bread which was so good, a little pricey for the amount (I shared it with one person but we are very small eaters). My only complaint is not garlic bread came with the pasta. The staff was super nice about everything for our pickup as we did not dine in. I do like the restaurant itself, they have a very cute patio section and will definitely being coming to eat during summer.“
“I'm just some guy who lives in a van, but I eat a lot of chicken sandwiches. I want to tell you about the one this place offers. I don't even really like these people, but I don't care, and neither should you, because I love a good chicken sandwich, and this is a totally incredible fried chicken sandwich, the flavor and juiciness combined with a crunchy, spicy, beautifully glazed breading makes for some of the best chicken I've ever had all by itself. Sandwich it between some delicious buns and bring down the heat with the zingy pickles and it's worthy of an award. The fries are as good as fries get. “Great BBQ and the atmosphere was a blast. Huge screen for sports. While I was there they had a trivia night which was super cool seeing everyone have a lot of fun with it. The brisket was perfect and the Mac and cheese was so good. Great spot for an all around dinner experience.“
“Swiss Grill is Back! After a health issue these guys are back and better than ever! Their chicken is AMAZING but I was also BLOWN AWAY with their ribs. You know you are eating great ribs when nobody is asking for sauce. They are so good they don't need sauce! I caught them at Vista's Saturday market, but they also go to other venues, I also caught up with them at Lawrence welk resort in Escondido on a Monday after they sold out on Saturday in Vista!“
“Excellent BBQ meat smoked to precision! Ordered a 3 meat combo with 3 sides for $45. It was such a good deal! My favorite side is the potatoes. The tri tip was very scrumptious and juicy. The pull pork was so good I wish I ordered a pull pork sandwich. A few beers on tap including ske IPAs and they were all very good! Everything was great!“

My boyfriend came here a little close to closing time, and they were more than happy to have us stay later than their closing time.
