It's what they do often, that's good. However, the Chicken Marsala was off. :More training needed in the kitchen. The Lasagna was cold on the inside, and had a strange flavor about it that I'm not familiar with. And, it had Spinach in it. I thought that too was... different. Not particularly appealing, to me. I didn’t place an order beforehand and arrived around 4:30 PM and they only had #1 and #9 available. They also offer a slight discount if paying with cash. “My sisters and I came to this restaurant, and they were playing the news. We didn't feel like being bummed by the news, so we asked if the restaurant minded if they could change the channel. The staff gave us the remote and let us change the channel ourselves! I really really appreciated that. We have come back many times since! Out of all the bánh cuốn places we've had in OC, theirs is closest to authentic Hanoi bánh cuốn. It's not perfect but it's close! Thank you again!”

“I ordered the legend coffee which is a strong coffee served with a side of condensed milk. It was delicious! I also highly recommend the waffles. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and not too sweet!

We spent a few hours in the cafe, reading our books while sipping coffee. The environment was conducive. The bathroom was also clean despite it being a Sunday with many customers. It seemed like their staff checks and cleans it regularly.

Do note that while they do not offer decaf coffee options, they have a selection of teas and herbal tea options.

Friend got the breakfast burrito and I got the breakfast bowl, neither of us was planning on finishing our meals, but we both wound up devouring the whole thing because it was so good. I’m not typically a ham person, but this spot was far and away the exception to that. The onions and green peppers in the bowl really made the flavors pop, and the hash browns were the perfect mix of soft and crispy. So tasty, highly recommend!!”

“We’re visiting from San Francisco and happened to find this restaurant by chance — what a great surprise! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was very clean.
We especially loved the fish congee — the fish was super fresh, and you definitely have to get the Chinese fried dough (youtiao) to go with it! Their Dill tumeric sizzling fish was also AMAZING and definitely a must-try.

Came on holiday weekend Monday around noon and quickly got packed. Quite small and clean place with nice modern interior. A bit shorthanded but staff kept up very well.

Came with high expectations because we enjoy duck w/ fish sauce and this type of salad. Ordered duck (dark meat) noodle soup w/ bamboo shoots and duck rice hoi an. Recommend to get the soup over the hoi an rice because hoi an rice was too hard and not crunchy enough for my liking. Their fish sauce is excellent. Great soup options on a cold day. “Saying I drove 2.5hrs on a Saturday morning just to have beef stew and bread for breakfast/lunch might throw some people off but honestly its more than worth the drive. I first came to this restaurant with my wife and every other time has been fantastic. The beef stew is absolutely packed with flavor and the meat is very tender. I appreciate the carrots and fresh jalapeños which add texture and some much needed heat to the meal. The baguette was very fresh, crunchy (I guess is the right word) on the outside and so soft in the center. It did a wonderful job of soaking every drop of the stew. I will absolutely be returning any chance I get, even if it means another 2.5hr roadtrip.”

Bread is okey, their meat is not quite I expected for bbq pork or grilled pork, just shredded meats with sauce over it. The place is still the same as I remembered, but still clean and full of ready to eat packed foods. Service is great with nice and friendly staff. They do have other foods too. Parking is okey, can be difficult in the weekend or holiday since it just a handful spaces for their small shopping center. They do have couple tables for dine in.”

But I at least wanted to share my experience. It's in the same Plaza as A Dong Market and Seafood Cove across from the Asian Garden Mall/Phuoc Loc Tho. I used to come here all the time for my mom when she asked me to purchase banh uoc/cuon, the kind of thing that you can find in Vietnam or at restaurants like Tay Ho. My mom usually ordered plain rice noodles so that she can make her own combinations that we would all eat. Such as more veggies or other Deli slices (cha lua). It was very affordable and they had a wide variety of ready to eat dishes as well. Never felt heavy and always left not feeling gross. Kind of like rice noodle salad dishes with some sort of protein. They also have other rice noodle variations with dried shrimp or ground pork with Woodear or mushrooms. Everything was delicious. You know they're good when even my mom could eat their nuoc mam with the noodles. Wish they reopened somewhere else in case the rent was high or something. I'm pretty sure it was just the location and the rent because there wasn't that much foot traffic.”

“This is now my favorite place for Nem Nướng Cuốn (grilled pork summer rolls). They are only $3.50 each or 3 for $9 (plus tax). The young lady cashier is so nice, she always offer a FREE Vietnamese coffee when I buy 2 orders of 3 rolls each. They are individually wrapped in plastic wrap before placing in the container so the veggies remain fresh and crunchy while the fried rice paper inside remains crispy for hours after purchase. The dipping sauce is full of umami and accompanied by a clove of garlic, fresh grounded red chilli as well as a whole green pepper as pictured. That’s very authentic Nha Trang style.
Go get some! No long wait like B…. Restaurant or subpar quality like food to go places.”

Still, I'm glad I stopped by, since it's been a really hot summer, I really enjoyed that this place offers nice cold and refreshing smoothie type tea drinks with boba! “This is one of those little places that has somehow survived while everything around it keeps changing.

Just Hot Dogs is basically a little walk-up shack with a drive-through that’s been sitting in the same parking lot forever. Businesses around it have come and gone, but this place is still standing.

It’s a true little mom-and-pop type of spot. I think it’s a couple running it, and every time I’ve been here they’ve been really nice. More importantly, the food has stayed consistent.

They’re known for their Chicago-style hot dogs with the poppy seed buns, but they have quite a bit more than just hot dogs. I’ve tried the roast beef, which comes with the dip, and their fries are really good. They taste like they’re made fresh and I’m pretty sure they’re hand-cut.

They also have things like chocolate-covered bananas and Balboa bars. I got a chocolate-covered banana this time, they asked if I wanted nuts, wrapped it up in foil and had it ready to go.

One little thing I really appreciated was that when I told them some of my order was to-go, they actually asked when I wanted them to make it so it wouldn’t sit around and get soggy. It’s such a small thing, but that’s the kind of care you get at places like this.

I’ve been here a few times now, and the quality has always been consistent. The prices are also really reasonable, which feels harder and harder to find nowadays.

It has that old-school neighborhood donut-shop kind of feeling where you recognize that it’s just a couple of people running their little business and doing their thing.

I hope they stay around for a long time. Places like this are getting harder to find, and I’d much rather spend my money here than at another chain.”

“Saw many posts on IG where people were getting humongous portion and I finally decided to see if it was for real and oh boy It's Real!

The staff greeted me and asked how was my day. I asked her back and she responded that her day was not well. Even though she was having a mediocre day, she didn't skimp on the portion. I ordered the two items combo for $15.49. I chose fried rice and chow mein and orange chicken and beef and broccoli. Both fried rice and chow mein were way better than Panda Express. Orange chicken taste some what different than Panda Express because it's their own take on orange chicken. The beef and broccoli could be better since the beef was mid.

With the amount of food you get for the price you paid, it's such a good deal! The combo items that I got were delicious. As a Chinese American, Hong Kong Express satisfied my tummy and I would go back many more times.”

I get the whole all you can eat thing, but charging us to clean the waisted food is crazy, especially without even allowing a take home box lol

“Was craving for some soft sweet tofu and they have special deal here for it on Sunday. Also got some Tofu & pennywort juice too. Parking is fine since it is a big complex plaza with good size parking. The place is open space, clean, and spacious. Small but enough for several high tables for dine-in and several tables/chairs outside. Nice & varies choices menu. Staff are nice and friendly. The drinks are nicely mixed and refreshing, the tofu is great & also refreshing with the syrup and coconut milk. Just simply yummy.”

“I was so heartbroken when they closed their LA ktown location so I followed them down here. This location is inside the HMart Eatery and does individual portions (as opposed to the jeongol build your own format from ktown). The flavors are just as good, just on a smaller scale. The soup has a rich bone broth base for a deep flavor. Their kimchi banchan is incredible!
They also do bingsoo; the strawberry flavor was really good. The owner is incredibly kind too.
Highly recommend for a comforting and filling meal!”

“The place is new so really clean. I came on middle of weekday so the store is not busy and got my drinks quickly. I like their drink as it comes with strong tastes of tea and not sweet even I only choose 30% of sweetness.
I have ordered 3 drinks and they offered 3 raffle tickets along with free disposable gloves box which I didn’t expect it at all. It is very nice experience and love their cup package as well. I can’t stop looking and feel the high quality paper cup while drinking my milktea 😉. Definitely recommend this place.”

“My curiosity was rewarded. I had the 4 garlic wing, fries special, $11, and it was delicious. I didn't realize a Vietnamese- style chicken wing even existed. The meat was very tender, and one of the drum sticks was about the size of a squash ball. The fries were separated from the chicken, and very nicely and crisply fried.

“Delicious food. Don't get fooled by the look of the outside and plaza. It's true moms and pops shop. Food is hearty, full of flavors. Inside is clean and modern. They are specialized in sizzling beef plates and various Vietnamese food. The drinks are good too. I ordered guava tea and chia seed black jelly. Yum. Big portions. The food is very on point and flavorful. It was busy even at 2 pm. I really think this place needs more recognition. Really good food!”
