“Attention. To. Detail. Over the past couple of years I've heard my wife talk about wanting to go to The French Laundry, so this year I surprised her with a very early birthday surprise up in Napa! After coordinating with two other couples and booking reservations, I got an email asking for any special occasions or dietary restrictions. I informed them of the birthday celebration and the fact that we had someone who was gluten free. When we got there they knew our party and wished my wife a happy birthday and brought us to our seats. When we looked at the menu we all noticed that they printed "Happy Birthday (wife's name)" on the top of the menu, which we got to keep after the dinner. A few at our table got the wine pairings which are tailored to how much you'd like to spend and the sommelier did not miss. Each meal was an experience and at one point someone in our party was obsessed with how good the asparagus tasted. They also substituted every gluten item for our party member that was gluten free so they got to enjoy every course, which was a worry in the back of my mind that was put to ease. At the end they invited us down to the kitchen and we got to (briefly) see the chefs at work. Then at the end, each couple got their own menu, wine list of the pairings we had and some goodies for a late night or morning snack. My wife got her own happy birthday chocolate bar from Thomas Keller as well! This was all of our first times at The French Laundry and I don't believe it will be our last either. Amazing experience with great friends and we will be back!“
“Extremely loud inside with tables so close to each other it's as if you are having dinner with others and hear, participate in their conversations. If weather permits get a table outside, which we requested amd were moved to for a much better experience. Buyer lettuce salad was excellent and nicely dressed. Steak tartare was ok , lacked seasoning. Chicken dish was good , trout had good flavor, i asked for the town butter sauce on the side amd glad I did cause it was way too much that would have taken away from fish flavor and made it super unhealthy . Fries were perfect and so was the profiterol dessert . Great service .“

From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the breathtaking views and inviting atmosphere. The food surpassed all expectations. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. From the appetizers to the dessert, every bite was a culinary delight. The staff at this place is incredible. Their professionalism and attention to detail made me feel like a valued guest. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Overall, my lunch was exceptional in every way. The combination of stunning views, delicious food, and impeccable service made me feel like I was on a vacation. I can't wait to return and enjoy another memorable meal.“
“Auberge du Soliel never disappoints. It is pricey, but defiunitely worth it for special occasions. The view out over the Napa Valley is special. The service is top-notch. Everyone works together to provide a fantastic dining experience. The food is always great, and never boring. Everyone who can afford it should make the trip and have a great experience.“

“Overall our experience was very nice. We came because it is a French restaurant and was looking forward to having Bœuf Bourguignon. But our server informed us that the chef decided to not have it on the menu that night. We almost walked out as that was the main reason we came. But we decided to stay and the service and our meal ended up being very nice. The roasted chicken was so juicy and tender so I highly recommend that.“
“We had the most wonderful dinner experience at La Toque. The food was exquisite - every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. But it was the service that really made our meal outstanding. Our servers Maria and Samantha were so attentive and knowledgeable. They could clearly tell we were celebrating something special and really went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. Maria knew all the details about each dish and recommended perfect wine. They also had great suggestions based on our tastes. It was clear Maria and Samantha truly cared about giving us the best possible experience. They paid close attention to every detail, from refilling waters to clearing empty plates promptly. We felt like we were the only table in the whole restaurant! La Toque is clearly doing something right to have such engaged, passionate servers on their team.“
“This is a charming French bistro. Our server, Ian, only added to the charm with his warmth, efficiency, and kindness. As an appetizer, we ordered the crispy pig's foot. My dinner partner was reluctant to try that but fell completely in love with it, which made me laugh. We shared two entrées: the fabulous Boeuf Bourguinon with extraordinarily tender beef and the chicken breasts (a bit dry) in a divine Camembert cream sauce. OMG. That sauce shall live supreme in my memory. We finished by sharing the dark and light chocolate mousse cake, which was very dry. We actually don't recommend that. All in all, this was a memorable meal, which we enjoyed very much. Thank you, Ian, for making it very special.“
