“The Best New Haven style pizza in Madison. Great stuffed breads. Always friendly service. Weekends can be an hour+ wait, so order early. Only 2 tables inside after c19 & they're usually empty. They deliver & carry Foxon Park soda.Parking: Shared plaza parking. Easy in and out.“
“Stopped by on a roadtrip from PA to RI for a smoothie bowl & was captured by the "Apizza" sign. Went in, got a slice of cheese, fresh out the oven. Great slice, interior was beautiful, has a really great tradition of pizza making, counter lady was really nice. Absolutely would recommend if you're looking for a nice slice of pie in a beach town.“
“Fantastic subs- eggplant parmigiana was the best I've ever had. My husband got the veal parmigiana sub and loved it! We hadn't been by here for a while but decided to stop on our way home to take subs to go. We'll be back again! Perfectly toasted with lots of cheese and the flavors were top notch!!“
“Came for trivia night on Wednesday which was my first time at this trivia. It was more of a laid back crowd but that didnt affect the quality of the trivia. It was over within an hour though I thought it would’ve lasted 2 hours. The food is always good, like a hidden gem in Madison. The app of the chicken tenders consisted of 4 massive sized tenders, we got the buffalo flavor. The pork chop special with a side of broccoli and baked potato also did not disappoint. Friendly wait staff and the wait was not long. I always enjoy coming here“
“The pizza was hot and fresh when we picked it up. Nice crunch and a good balance of cheese and sauce. Sauce could have used a little seasoning in our opinion, but otherwise, it was very good.Parking: The parking lot is shared with another building. With it being busy, we were lucky enough to find one spot open in front of the building without having to park in front of the other building they are sharing with.“
“haven't been back in over a decade and this pizza still stands up next to sally's in new haven as my favorite pizza. the crust is as thin and crispy, without sacrificing any structural integrity to hold up whilst eating, with the perfect amount of chew that deteriorates with a perfectmini burned spots that just burst the umami of the sauce as you eat it. nice to know that something that set such an impression on me when i lived a stones throw away throughout high school hasn't changed at all. also i don't remember them having baklava 15 years ago but needless to say it was masterfully made and i would implore anyone with a sweet tooth to try it, it's not overly moist like some baklava and the nuts were evenly spread making for a nice bite every time.“
“Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had, these guys and girls know their stuff, if you love pizza then go here to meet your pizza soul mate because you will be in heaven with the first bite...!!Kid-friendliness: We brought our grand child there his name is Otto and they gave him a free t shirt ...who does that these days ....?“
“In CT, we are so lucky to be blessed with a million great pizza options- Brickside Pizza is among them in this area for sure! Great little takeout spot with big flavors! We got the Sunday Dinner with meatballs, ricotta and sauce. We also tried the prosciutto arugula pie as well! They are stocked with plenty of fox on park sodas as well to grab on the way out!“
“This place has been excellent for years. It has been a while since I've eaten here and I ordered some stuffed breads the other day. Absolutely delicious and they were the best app at the party. They really care about creating high quality food here.“
“Pasta Avest has delicious food, the staff are friendly and make you feel like you’re family, and the environment inside is clean, cozy, and relaxing! I think not being able to decide what you want to eat because everything is delicious is a wonderful problem to have!Favorite item is the sausage and peppers sub. They even have specials and recently the chicken cutlet with mozz, cherry peppers, and hot honey was a genuine knock out of the park. These guys are a hidden gem that shouldnt be hidden. Prices are prices, everyone has to make a living but I’ll be the first to tell you they’re absolutely worth it!“
“So good! We ate at another spot on the shoreline that wasn't the best, so we tried Naples instead. The special is cooked perfectly and the crust is delicious. They have a pretty substantial menu for such small joint. We ordered over the phone on a Saturday night and only waited about 25 minutes for two pizzas. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.“
“WBP is a go-to for easy pickup on my way home from work for me. All of the ladies who work the front do a great job & the food never disappoints! I’ve tried pretty much everything, but my favorite is the chicken club grinder. The overall aesthetic is clean(!), fun & eye catching. They have slices of pizza readily available, a salad bar & soft serve ice cream. Definitely recommend!Dietary restrictions: GF pizza dough available“
“Loved this place! Stopped by to check it out while just passing by. Ordered a slice of cheese pizza, $3. The pizza was great! We also got the meatball sub. That was good too. Loved the atmosphere and prices are great. Was able to have a meal for 2 for less than $20. That's with chips and drinks. Recommend ! Lady running it was nice!!“
“Great food, fantastic pizza, mouth watering eggplant! Foxon Park soda available.Vegetarian options: Eggplant, salads, pasta, pasta e fagioli soup.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn't like pizza or fried dough or pasta? Apple juice available to drink.“
“Five professional motor cycle riders who eat in a lot of food at different stops were very satisfied. Great prices/ great quality/ good quantity/fast service/ great waitress/ clean modern seating and restrooms/ ample free parking. Its now on our favorite list. Thank you for serving us so well!!“
“The best pizza ever! The owners are so friendly, and make the most authentic Italian pizza in New Haven County, which is a big claim in the area I know. But Matt and Melissa picked up their culinary skills in Naples and brought them back to the Shoreline, and we. are. so. lucky. Just make sure you order early, because they get absolutely flooded with orders (a good sign!)“
“? GET A BURRITO ?Alright, here’s the deal. I’m a gigantic shill for DRP, all my friends know it. Something about their pizza does it for me, favorite style, super well done for that particular style, and it’s relatively affordable.I also love their subs, all of them. Shout out to the steak bomb and the TKO (chicken bacon ranch, honey mustard, mozzarella). They’re quick, the people are always SUPER SUPER SUPER friendly, and food comes out hot.But here’s the deal… they need a rebrand.I’ve seen burritos on the menu there for years and never thought to get one. With that said, nothing about this place screams “Greek” to me besides the font on the menu and the Ακρόπολις on the logo (alright maybe a few of the specialty pizzas - moussaka and town hall, I see you. Gyros, ολα εν ταξη, relax.)Tonight I finally did it, I got the carne asada burrito that they had on special and it blew my socks off. For $12 (market rate for the area IMO) you get a huge burrito, wrapped and easy to eat, no dripping, they grilled it, tons of steak and avocado. Man oh man, it hit the spot and I’m just so happy I could cry.Deep River Pizza Mexican. I don’t know if anyone that works there is Mexican, I don’t know if burritos are inherently Mexican, I don’t know what I don’t know and I want to be better. What I do know is that people need to know about this.Chester, Deep River, Essex is grossly devoid of a Mexican spot that’s open late BUT this is at least maybe Mexican adjacent and open late enough for me (9 pm weekdays, 10pm weekends).Get down to Deep River Pizza (Mexican?) and get yourself a burrito. You’re going to be mad that nobody told you to do it before.I am thrilled.?Parking: Learn to parallel park in beautiful Deep River!Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids, it’s a casual pizza place.Wheelchair accessibility: Once you get on the sidewalk, which is accessible, the door is flush.“
“The BEST spicy Buffalo chicken pizza!! We had to do 1/2 cheese because of my kids.I loved the Tuscana salad w/ the Asiago cheese dressing. Everything was so delicious!! Staff was very nice and accommodating, we hardly had a wait for the pizza. Birch beer was yummy too!Kid-friendliness: our kids loved the cheese pizzaParking: if it gets too crowded, there is a grocery store nearby w/ plenty of parking. ?“
“What a great place! I was in the area for a wedding and my food allergies didn't allow me to eat what was provided. I called DaVinci's for a gluten free pizza pick up and they went above and beyond. I requested a salad pie with bacon and pepperoni which is not on their menu but they accommodated me! They even asked if they should leave the lettuce off so it wouldn't wilt on the way to my destination. Wonderful! They also gave me my balsamic drizzle in a little container so it wouldn't soak into the crust. It was delicious!! To top it off they are the nicest people! Highly recommend!“
“This was a great little find for us! We went here for our first time recently! Walking in, it feels like an old school family pizza joint with big comfortable booths and friendly service. The pizza is definitely leaning towards New Haven Style, without being quite as charred. I ordered basil on my pizza and asked for as much extra basil as they could put on it. Places rarely do so when I ask, but Grand Apizza came through! My boyfriend had a pizza with sausage, and he loved it! We will definitely be returning!“
“My wife's go to place for date night. Great restaurant for pizza and Greek food. Greek bruschetta is great and best mozzarella sticks around. Boys love the speciality pizza, taco pizza and youngest loves the chicken fingers. Staff is amazing and friendly. Been there a bunch of times and will definitely be returning.“
“We didn't eat, as the kitchen is staffed during lunch hours, and I often go in the late afternoon. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great (train theme, since it's in an old station!) and prices are comparable. A great hometown bar that features Open Mics and Live Music in the evening.“
“Stopped by on our way through CT from Long Island. Was pleasantly surprised with how great this pizza was! A little on the greasy side but nothing you couldn’t pick up with a napkin. The only “negative” was the inside is very plain. Not a ton a decor, but that’s not really important. Would deff come “
“The Fried Calamari, Greek & regular salad plus a sausage, mushroom and onion pizza off the chart’s delicious! My partner is a NY pizza snob and I grew up on Wooster Street pizza, etc. By far Grand Apizza in Deep River has the best and most delicious food. Plus they’re consistent in flavor, texture along with all the goodies.“
“I must confess..... I have never eaten at Dino's. It just so happens that my neighbors are the owners. I have had the opportunity to try their pizza and other things and I must say it is delicious. Gus and Stella are great at what they do, and they are generous people. I am beyond grateful for the meals they provided after my dad passed unexpectedly (the neighborhood is still stunned) so my family and I could focus on arranging the funeral and mourning my dad's death in peace.“
“Food was delicious however, way too expensive imo.$2 per wing and no deal when you get a double order.$15 for 3 small arincini balls. Also, make sure to review the bill. They miss charged us and had to fix it when I brought it to their attention.“
“First time here as the twisted goat, last time here was June's outback. The Sally pizza was on point, the wings were good however I would recommend asking for them well done if you don't want undercooked skin, flavor was amazing. Killer PB&J and buffalo garlic Parm. Service was amazing as well, sometimes when it's not too busy you get poor service, not the case here!!!!! Very satisfied ?“
“As close to New Haven quality pizza that you will get around here! My dad use to own this restaurant and he made the best pizza…..I have to say the quality is just the same as when he owned it and they use all the best ingredients! I love Amatos and will be only getting my pizza from them from now on. The sausage topping specifically is my favorite, I haven’t asked but I can tell they use longhini which is the best ! :)“
