“I stopped at this great little market for the first time yesterday to pick up something quick for dinner. I ended up with a full basket of wonderful salads and prepared meals. I live for convenience and prepared...everything. Everything I've had so far has been exceptionally fresh and flavorful - the chicken salad is superior to any I've found locally. Just great. Highly recommend this market for high quality offerings that really stand out - and completely satisfy. Bravo!“

“YUMMY food and nice atmosphere in this music-themed café. I was lucky enough to stop in on their 3rd day after reopening - thanks to community donations, said the co-owner, their business was able to sustain the pandemic. I'm so glad it did! It's in an historic building and also offers free ukulele workshops by one of the co-founders of the café (which I didn't get to see, lol). His handcrafted banjolike instruments - made out of tin boxes, wood, and bent quarters - are also offered for fun and for sale. I think I saw an Altoids guitar for $50. The soup of the day (tomato basil) was really good, but the fresh-baked BREAD is what really got me! And I'm not usually a bread person. Keep in mind they close at 3. Very glad to have stopped by to support this unique local place.“

“We stopped here for a quick breakfast the other day, just before they close for the winter months. I'm the owner who was working the grill. The food menu items were delicious and we were not disappointed, all in all we had a great meal here and would highly recommend anybody stop on their way down 154.“

“This place is a gem for healthy and delicious food. Truly healthy food that actually taste great. It’s usually hard to find a restaurant with good vegan options, let alone also gluten-free. Well, in this place, everything is vegan, gluten-free and delicious.Another great thing is that they use really good ingredients. For instance, using monk fruit to sweeten cakes and desserts instead of harmful refined sugar.I have tried so many vegan-GF wraps, but they always fall apart so badly and are tasteless for the most part or very hard. This place has mastered the wrap recipe, and they taste great.Pizzas are also a must. We love the Hawaiian one, vegan and GF!And bakery products? To die for! The cookies, pastries, and vegan cheesecakes are absolutely delicious and sweetened with monk fruit!It’s great to have so many options to choose from for both food and desserts.Oh, and they have live music on Saturdays.We got to meet the chef!!! “The food at the village cafe is incredibly good. The meals are delicious and made with real ingredients. The owners and staff are always welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate customers. I have been going there since they opened and everything is always kept meticulously clean.“

“My wife and I headed to Old Saybrook for Sunday breakfast. There are many options in the center, and this little place caught our eye - so we gave it a whirl, and we were not disappointed! The Nutty Joe Coffee ☕ is off the chain stupid delicious ?; we could drink cup after cup after cup... and still want another cup! I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel w hot sauce - spot on. My wife had perfectly poached eggs and a delicious banana muffin... no complaints. The gentleman working the grill was fantastic, and sitting outside was just the topper to our wonderful experience. If you haven't been, get there; you will not be disappointed.“

“This place speaks for itself upon walking in. Very friendly, very cozy and very helpful. My sister and I came in today and got two sandwiches each. We both got the bacon egg and cheese (one on multigrain and the other on a bagel). The blue and the East beats west with a soup on the side. We wanted to sample how the food is here. The guy at the counter was very sweet and the food took maybe 15 minutes to come out despite all tables being full. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good time to sit down and have a good meal with someone“
