“Family style bar and restaurant. I've had a thick juicy cheeseburger and the fish and chips. Both dishes were nice large portions of flavorful and fresh tasting and well seasoned food. The place is friendly and well appointed. Prices are reasonable and service is great. The patrons are having fun socializing with each other. There are even families, but no young children. They are a mix of young and old. People are dressed in casual work clothes.“

We noticed the previous reviews and after a local hotel shared how he's never had a bad meal at this location, we decided to stay for dinner and not just drinks. It DID NOT Disappoint! The service was spot on. The Simsbury location offers an excellent historical atmosphere too.“
“Awesome place to make your own plate and watch it be cooked right before your eyes. The food settles in your stomach alittle hard but while you eat its enjoyable. The alcohol beverages are good. Dont go when they first open. The flat top they cook on isnt hot enough and the food comes out halfway cooked, the veggies are still hard. White rice ypu ask the server for its free :) Overall a great place to eat.“

I just missed the happy hour ?? lol but still had a great time food was amazing Maddie the bartender was great made the best rum punch I've ever had it was better than the rum punch I was drinking in Jamaica...the food was great as well as the atmosphere I definitely can't wait to go back to see my Girl Maddie she's my new favorite bartender. “TJs is a sports bar with great food and immaculately clean. The burger ? tastes like steak! I have had three of them and they are the "best burger" I personally have had in Connecticut. It's small in a cozy, way and the 8 TVs are set up so you can see NFL or Basketball anywhere you sit. It's really perfect for 3 friends & you to play pool and eat, or a casual "date night" because there are booths you can snuggle up in. I usually just go to the bar side; but the restaurant side has 8 small booths so you can take mom or a friend to a tasty lunch. The menu is quite large but I personally stick to burgers.“
“This is a fun old feeling bar. The fanciest thing about the place is the digital juke box, and yes, it gets used. That being said, we loved this place. It was a Friday evening and the bar was full of folks who had just gotten off work.We started with the sweet chili wings, and wow.. they were good. My honey had the chicken sandwich which was good. I felt like testing to see if the Diablo burger was really that hot… it was an amazing burger, enough warmth to make you sweat but not tongue scorching. If you like spice, get this!“

“The owners are good friends so we dropped by to say hello, share a few stories and enjoy a beer. They invited us to partake of the buffet that was winding down. The food was excellent. We only stayed a short while because we were distracting them from their duties. They were setting up for karaoke when we left.“

“We've been here a few times for both dinner on the deck and special occasion events. The food is typically decent. I've enjoyed their pizza. They're meatball sub is delicious (and I'm Italian and am typically really picky when it comes to meatballs). The back deck is so delightful- especially on a cool evening sitting around one of the fire tables. I have 2 young kids so being able to dine outside is always nice. We dined there last week and had a less than stellar experience. It was a Thursday evening. The kids and I met some family after they played golf. It was much busier than I would have expected. Waitress comes over in a huff - clearly overwhelmed. She wasn't that friendly and was rushing, She took 8 orders - drinks and meals - without writing anything down. My cousin and I chuckled about it when she walked away. We were both saying it'd be a miracle if she got it right. Well she didn't. And the worst part is that we waited about 30 mins for our meals - and the two she messed up out of the 8 were my 4 and 9 year olds. So then we waited another 15 mins for 2 pizzas. It was just annoying. Write it down next time. Well obviously be back but definitely not if something like this happens again.“

Especially in a late night where all the restaurants are closed she is still cooking. ❤️ They have a juke box that has a good selection of pretty much anything. “Nice baseball themed dive bar. Friendly staff, good drinks, and a dog that often hangs around! Tons of baseball memorabilia and pictures. They have parking in the back, and they have a pool table. There is no food here, but they have popcorn sometimes and there's a few types of chips you can buy. Many regulars but they welcome everyone from what I've seen the couple of times I've been. “So for anyone who doesn't know the Hive Bar has a beautiful Hall. They could accommodate weddings, parties and small events. Has a fireplace and a stage. We loved it for our daughters first birthday. The owners were wonderful to work with. Everything was set up the way we were told. Brian was very professional and catered to all our needs. “Now THIS is how you go from 2 stars to a 5 star review!! I have not done this type of star jump in a very long time and to be honest, Flynn's Food and Staff deserve every single star. I was not surprised to see the spot fairly empty at 11:30 today for it was not packed when I first came here a few years ago to the disaster of the food and service that I had received. I noticed there was a different waitress today and she was spot on! From the greeting we received once we walked in, to how attentive she was once we sat down and her service with the other two tables....simply outstanding. This time around the mozzarella sticks came out hot and extra cheesy. So cheesy, the pull may have actually gone from the ceiling to the floor but what really took the flavor home, was the sauce my sticks came with. That level of home whipped up marinara sauce was insane baby!! So much flavor and you could taste the tomato broken down and diced up. Seasoned with love and only making my mozzarella stick, that much more enjoyable! Going with their New England Clam Chowder was also a decent experience. Chunks of potatoes and a nice array of clams that provided quite the luxurious bite, all I needed was the salt and pepper that I added upfront and this NE Clam Chowder had some "Slap Yo Mama" flavors going on. Their French fries were not greasy nor did they taste cold and forgotten but they had the mean double crispiness and already salted, which drove their bite into a very happy place with me. Now I am back on the Cajun Blue Cheese Burger and they got it right!!! The beef was real beef this time around. Seared up and juicy!! I had PLENTY of blue cheese crumbles all over my beef (unlike the single crumble from last time) and each chew was a pleasure to behold. Now this is a REAL BURGER that bites back with strength and I am here for it!!! I pitched everything at Flynn's today and they did not strike out! Each items was a HOMERUN and their service ran all of the bases!! I can't wait to come back and again, excellent job to the new Chef and the Staff here!!! This was a Revisit to be excited about!“

Actually, one working hard and the other one seemed to just there in attendance. It was way too busy for just one person to handle solo…The food was good and reasonably priced. They had a lot of good options. Beers were expensive, considering it was draft beer.Overall, our time spent here was good.I can see myself coming back here again and trying some of the other menu items…“
