“I find that Domino's Pizza in Delaware was much better by far than the one in NY. The taste of the pizza and the service out matched that of the NY branch located in Utica Ave.As a franchise, the product should be the same everywhere.“
“Casual outing for a birthday dinner. The staff greeted us right when we walked in and we were seated. The lovely Serene was our server. We received our food quickly. Everything was hot and fresh and the rolls kept coming ? Please enjoy this photo of my mini cannoli.“
“La Fia always delivers. The menu is season and each dish is always an amazing combination of flavors and texture. Get any of their pasta dishes, for years they are packed with such inventive flavors and the pasta is expertly cooked al dente. The duck confit has been on the menu for years and we never tire of it. Same for the octopus. La Fia has been our favorite restaurant for years.“
“Scalessa’s is exactly as it sounds. Old school Italian Sunday dinner style meals & sandwiches. The Chicken Marsala is the best I’ve ever had in my life. Try it with a side of gnocchi (delicious) or even their spaghetti. The chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe sandwich is delicious. The staff is always friendly. The chefs are beyond skilled. Don’t forget to grab a butter cake before you leave.“
“The food is absolutely amazing. The four of us shared several dishes and deserts, and each was more delicious than the last. Incredible!Service was spot-on, and the atmosphere was inviting and romantic. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place.“
“The restaurant is near a corporate center and has a large parking lot. The main room where we sat was very noisy. The server was excellent and the food was delicious. My husband had the lasagna and I had the acorn agnolotti. Amazing Italian bread too. And they have a little market onsite filled with items to purchase. I would definitely recommend and return.“
“Sabatina’s in Delaware City offers an exceptional sandwich experience. From the moment you step in, you are treated like family. The highlight is their signature sandwiches, a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. Each bite is a revelation, with quality ingredients meticulously layered to create a culinary masterpiece. Whether you opt for their classic options or explore their creative combinations, Sabatina’s sandwiches never fail to impress. The friendly atmosphere and attentive service complement the delightful culinary journey. Sabatina’s unquestionably earns its reputation as the go-to destination for sandwich enthusiasts in Delaware and the tri-state area.“
“So I just found this jewel. I will go back but with more people. Being from NY i know great food and atmosphere and this place Tops the list. The music was not loud and all the staff was great. But I will enjoy the rooftop in the spring.Parking: Park on the street before 7pm and you will get a spot“
“The good: The food was delicious. The Caesar salad was excellent. On the weekend the brother that doesn't own the restaurant makes the Caesar salad now. He told us about how he learned to make it from his father. I really enjoyed hearing the story and watching him make it up close. It made up for the slow service. The bad: The service was extremely slow. It took 30+ minutes to get our drinks ordered and served and our orders taken. They did bring out the complimentary appetizer before that but it would have been great to have at least my drink order filled. This was a birthday celebration that I did notate on the reservation. Had 2 of my friends not been there with us we probably would have left because sitting for 30 mins with no acknowledgment is really pretty unacceptable. I understand being busy and short staffed but I did very politely mention to the hostess prior to that no one had waited on us. She came over and said oh you have the complimentary appetizer and said they are very busy. She should have at least taken our drink orders. Also my partner ordered the surf and turf. Online it says filet and lobster. He got filet and crab cake. He did not say anything because we had waited so long to get orders placed and to get the food. The steak was cooked exactly as he asked but a crab cake is not the same as lobster. And had he known this he wouldn't have ordered the crab cake appetizer. The waitress was also very nervous acting. She was super nice and sort of attentive just nervous and slow. We gave her a 22% tip but she would have gotten 30% had she done a better job. Overall it was a nice evening but with annoyances that I hope the restaurant sees and understands isn't acceptable especially when a reservation is notated as a birthday celebration. I will be back but not for any type of celebration with friends.“
“Wilmington's Trolley Square has long been a haven for delicious discoveries, but Gaudiello's Italian Hoagies takes the crown for their porchetta sub. This isn't just a sandwich; it's a symphony of textures and flavors, a testament to the art of Italian charcuterie. The star, of course, is the porchetta. The impossibly crisp skin yields to layers of juicy, herb-infused pork. Each bite is a concerto of savory richness, the perfect harmony of fat and lean. Gaudiello's doesn't drown this masterpiece in unnecessary embellishments. A touch of garlicky broccoli rabe adds a delightful bitterness, while sharp provolone cheese cuts through the richness. A hint of peppery seasoning pulls everything together, leaving you wanting more. The bread, a perfect balance of crusty and yielding, deserves its own applause. It cradles the fillings without crumbling, providing the ideal platform for each mouthful. Every element sings in perfect pitch, resulting in a chorus of pure satisfaction.Gaudiello's porchetta sub isn't just lunch; it's an experience. It's a love letter to slow roasting, a celebration of artisanal ingredients. In a world of over-stuffed monstrosities, this sub is a masterclass in balance and restraint. If you find yourself in Wilmington, don't miss this operatic masterpiece. Just be prepared to stand in ovation – this porchetta will have you applauding with every delicious bite.“
“Absolutely some of the best tasting and closest to homemade Italian food I’ve had yet. Absolutely perfect to dine in or order out, my old Italian Nonna loves to order from here when she doesn’t feel like cooking. Love this place so much, the interior and atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. I always get the ravioli and it’s delicious every time. Parking isn’t ideal, then again that is not the restaurant’s fault. Wish I could go here more often, definitely a favorite spot.“
“An outstanding Italian restaurant in downtown Newark. Great menu selection infusing all of your Italian standards that you'd expect and also a decent beer and cocktail offering. We had three couples in our group and the service was quick and everything came out correctly. My only complaint was that our server didn't come back often enough to check on us and so we had to finally flag someone else down to get more drinks and the check.Parking: There is no parking for the restaurant but there are several paid lots nearby. Just don't be late getting back to your car as it's a $35 ticket!“
“Catered a small family party for 20 people on March 3, 2024 and the food, as always was delicious. But I almost made a huge blunder, because I did not remember that Tony's is closed on Sunday. Dhara, the wonderful young woman, who took our order, volunteered to come into work that morning to help us out. I arrived at 11 am and everything was piping hot and ready for us. I can't thank her enough for doing this! Don Peloso“
“I am writing this review in hopes of receiving a response. My husband and I call in regularly to collect our favorite dishes, which is the beef lasagna and the lobster mac and cheese. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere pleasant. We think it is important to support the local economy and Toscana's has served the local community successfully for many years. There is one point of constructive feedback that we would like to offer. As a take-out item, the gelato I believe is not served authentically. Toscana's appears to be serving gelato as if it is the same as ice cream. An ice cream scooper is being used instead of a specific gelato utensil. This impacts the serving amount and the way it is presented.“
“I was impressed with this restaurant before even trying it out! When I looked this place up, just the pictures alone blew me away! So, when I actually went to see if it met up to my expectations, it surpassed them ? I now love this restaurant!“
“We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 30!!! Spectacular coordination with Tim. Good servers were efficient and attentive. The delicious food from bruschetta, Caesar salad, pasta entrees and cannolis had our guests raving. Thank you so much!!! You helped us kickoff the wedding weekend for Thomas and Julia with a smile, a beaming heart and Full belly!! Molly and Joseph Oresik Reeders, PA“
“I really like this placeOne of the most tasteful cheesesteaks in my lifeIf you like spicy one - recommending Chipotle cheesesteak and buffalo cheesesteakAlso I like there chilliMozzarella sticks little bit plainAlso I like there prices thereVery good food and service according to the prices“
“Got two Pizzas and wings this evening. First, the pizza was good and really enjoyed it. Great flavor and cooked well. Now, my wife is from Buffalo, NY and as a result, we know wings and we are self-confessed wing snobs. BUT... Big Z breaded wings are killer and made exactly like they should be! Well done! We have our own sauces we prefer, but we'll definitely be ordering a bunch of Big Z wings for Super Bowl next weekend. Really well cooked and prepared the right way! Best locally around here by far.“
“I am Holly's husband we went to Pastabilities on Saturday night with our son and his fiancee. Everything we ate was on point! From the appetizers, entrees to desert! We found the service to be excellent, Otis was our waiter and he couldn't have been more friendly or professional. Everything we ordered was freshly made and delicious. We will definitely be back Luigi serves some of the best Italian food I ever ate since my Grandmothers cooking!“
“Tonight was our first visit to this location in 7 years. The food was wonderful and our server David was fabulous. If you plan on visiting this location, I would call ahead to make sure David is working and ask for his section. The other servers were not up to par. It was so upsetting to watch other tables wait for service or their food forever. There was a young family who was seated before us that didn’t even get their entrees until we were ready to leave. Their server should have been more attentive to them instead of standing around fanning herself by the kitchen. Service to the other tables was really really bad.“
“We did not make a reservation as it was a last minute decision. It was a Saturday nite so that was our fault. We had a half hour wait. There is a small bar when you walk in and the bartender welcomes you to sit down. I only had a diet Coke and he did not charge for that in a plastic cup. Our waitress was great! Very personable. I ordered the Italian wedding soup. I have never had one with so many little meatballs! It was filling. I ordered cheese raviolis with a garlic and olive oil sauce and she asked if I wanted 6 or 8. I went for the 6 and after the soup, I saved the rest and had for lunch the next day. They are big and very good. The only issue was the time between our soup and entree was a little long. It appears to be a very popular place. Many people were celebrating birthdays etc while we were there. Most people had reservations and the longest I think I saw a party wait with reservations was maybe 10 mins. My son said it's his favorite Italian restaurant in the Wilmington area. I would definitely go again and make reservations!“
“Stopped in after a lot of people recommended it. Very friendly staff at the bar and the food came out fast. Was a pretty busy place for 4p on a Sunday. Hardly a seat left in the place. Onion rings were delicious and pizza was just ok. Cool spot to grab a slice or order off the menu. I honestly thought the slice pies looked better, and thinner. Not sure why that would be.“
“We got a square pizza and the rice ball. Everything was delicious. The pizza was amazing. Crust was perfect. Cheese was top of the line. Sauce very good. The rice ball was great too. It was definitely risotto, and it was cooked perfectly, great place. We’ll go back for sure.“
“I have been going to Mario’s since 2012 and I actually love their pizza and never had a problem until today when this short rude old man had a problem with me ordering one slice of pizza. Well I work over night and I stop on my way to work so I’m going to continue to order my one slice of pizza so all I have to do is walk in pay and leave.“
“Always solid pizza with some unique toppings. Ricotta, sausage and long hots is my personal favorite. Tried the wings and they were very good. Also had a great superbowl deal. Fair pricing. Have been about 7 times now and have always been happy with my meal! Usually do takeout but always clean and relaxing setting inside.“
“We have both dined in and taken out.During dine in the food has always been great. We like the pizza, chopped salad and calamari the most.During our recent take out experience, huge disappointment. The pizza was cold, like not even attempted to keep warm during the time it was made to picked up and the calamari was a bit soggy and also cold. Not likely to get take out again.Parking: Street parking on busy street or busy neighborhood side streetsWheelchair accessibility: Tight indoor space. May be hard to navigate. Can’t speak for bathroom space.“
“The pasta with a cheesy bolognese sauce was delish but pricey for what you get. Chicken Parmesan was a very generous meal. Lava cake was tasty but no lava inside. Service was good except he didn't check on drinks, so I had to wave my glass to get his attention.“
“It’s a really cute tiny sit in area but i absolutely loved it!! The food was reasonably priced and came out relatively quickly. We loved everything we ate and it’s hard to like a pizza places’ sides too but this place offers everything. 10/10 everyone should support small businesses like these <3“
“This place is hands down the best Italian food in the area. There are also items where they thought out of the box like the Caesar salad on pizza ... absolutely amazing! Their garlic rolls are loaded with cheese and garlic and you can tell they serve good food cause they appreciate good food, if that makes sense. Either way, it's a must try!“
“We decided to have our daughters birthday dinner here all 20 of them! Lol. I have to say we felt like family! The food was awesome some of the best NY style pizza I have ever had! They were sooo accommodating! They even played Taylor Swift and it soon turned into a mini Swift concert ! Highly recommended !“
“This is the only pizza ? place me and my wife and I go to. The ? bacon ranch pizza , chicken cheese steak ? and my wife get a l large turkey and cheese ? provolone.. and that sandwich be stake . You have to make a trip there. If you're in the area, check ✔️ the Gallery Pizza ? place out.. you will be glad ? you did.“
“Fresh, colorful, and delicious linguine and clams. Fresh, house-made bread had a nice crust and soft on the inside. House salad had a good mix leaf variety, but could've used a bit more tomato and some fresh garlic or onion added. Trisha gave us excellent and personal customer service. She was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. The prices were fair. Very nice ambiance with decorative, vintage-style LED lighting and comfortable indoor/outdoor seating. The traditional music and interior decor gave a touch of Italy☺️?. We look forward to coming back soon ☺️?“
“Today was my first time ever coming to this pizzeria. I thought that the cheeseburger was quite pricey but my daughter was craving a cheeseburger. Her birthday is tomorrow so I decided to treat her. Wow, my cheeseburger was delicious. But her greedy dog ate her cheeseburger while I ran to the ATM. SMH ?Parking: There are a few businesses here so parking can be a little challenging.“
“I ordered a buffalo chicken cheese steak they used regular hot sauce in which I didn't care for but it was still decent and ordered a ham and cheese in which it was nasty. I was a little upset because I'm pregnant and they refused for me to use the bathroom. I guess I can't complain too much about it I guess. I will definitely try other types of cheese steaks“
“Great tasting pizza and other quality offerings plus good prompt service, however slightly inconsistent. Wife and I ordered a large plain pie to go 2 weeks ago, I go in and pay 13 cash. Last night I ordered the same large plain pie but my Wife was charged 16 cash. No mention of a change in price to be found anywhere, price point is why we didn't go across the street. Was missing some crust on this oval pie as well.“
“We go to Gallucios for take out, mainly pizza. I feel over the years the quality has changed some, or maybe they are just easier on the cheese. We have asked for well done crusts and often the crust comes out flimsy or doughy still, so in the future I'll ask for extra well done. Still good pizza over all.Parking: Every time I have gone, there has been free street parking available, but during a busy bar night it could be challenging“
“A small group of friends who do not see one another often went to Valle Cucina for lunch. The table was ready for us but the space in the booth was crowded, partially due to heavy jackets with no coat rack. Some of my heavier friends would not have fit in the booth. The food was excellent and the server was extremely friendly. I would recommend asking for a different, larger booth. Also we had sun glare from a car windshield and had to ask to have the shade lowered. Awkward situation with the adjoining booth occupants, but the server handled it well. I plan to go again with other friends but knowing the seating situation will be helpful on that visit.“
“Real Italian owner from Naples who selects his ingredients and makes his own pizza and sauces. I came here all the time when I worked in the area. The pizza isn't short of cheese or sauce. His pasta noodles are amazing. He's not short changing you and making you feel like a mamaluke when you open up your pizza box at half the joints you probably been to with scarcely any toppings. Man knows his stuff. He's a top fiver in the state. If you're in the area and passing buy this is a pie you don't pass up. Capische?“
