“Not only does this place have the best cheesesteak in the area but they also have homemade baked goods. That is my downfall! I am addicted to the cookie sandwiches and all of the baked goods that they sell there along with all their other food. If you've never gone you must stop by! There is definitely something for everyone.“
“Great family owned business. I work behind the scenes and even deliver for them. It’s nothing to do with the late food being cold it’s so popular that the regular customers they have always fill their orders up. Most of them are not even great tippers at all there are half that tip $5 and half that tip $2 to $1 or $0. Please understand when someone delivered your food that as long as I drive for them when they call me in because it’s so busy they do their best to make sure their drivers like me will help compensate the delivery time length n cut it in half then the usual wait time. Don’t forget drivers make money off tips and I don’t mind taking deliveries that aren’t tips to make sure it’s done and dropped off in n fast time. Some drivers will drop off the orders that actually tip good and that’s the fault for the people tipping neg. Add the bad review only if you tip well and still get food delivered late. And instead of posting on here just call Giovanni’s and they will work with you. FYI that first comment should mention that it is a Spanish family that runs an Italian bought shop. Your welcome for real honest review and be nice callling these guys they deal with alot of rude callers also when it becomes very busy.“
“La Fia always delivers. The menu is season and each dish is always an amazing combination of flavors and texture. Get any of their pasta dishes, for years they are packed with such inventive flavors and the pasta is expertly cooked al dente. The duck confit has been on the menu for years and we never tire of it. Same for the octopus. La Fia has been our favorite restaurant for years.“
“Scalessa’s is exactly as it sounds. Old school Italian Sunday dinner style meals & sandwiches. The Chicken Marsala is the best I’ve ever had in my life. Try it with a side of gnocchi (delicious) or even their spaghetti. The chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe sandwich is delicious. The staff is always friendly. The chefs are beyond skilled. Don’t forget to grab a butter cake before you leave.“
“The food is absolutely amazing. The four of us shared several dishes and deserts, and each was more delicious than the last. Incredible!Service was spot-on, and the atmosphere was inviting and romantic. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this place.“
“Seating was right on time with our reservation. The staff were warm and welcoming. Menu was well rounded and the food was delicious. Pricing was a bit high, but not enough to bypass next time. * complimentary valet parking was fine, but unexpected *“
“So I just found this jewel. I will go back but with more people. Being from NY i know great food and atmosphere and this place Tops the list. The music was not loud and all the staff was great. But I will enjoy the rooftop in the spring.Parking: Park on the street before 7pm and you will get a spot“
“Italian Kitchen where can I say so far you are the only one I gave every last star to simply because the food is good the atmosphere is good you guys are good you care about your customers you're polite you know you just go beyond you know so for that I thank you every chance I get a run coming down your way I holler oh my God the Italian Kitchen I'm heading over there sometimes you'll see me more than two or three times before my shift is over you are totally worth stopping in for and once again I thank you guys for being you Italian kitchen must stop in inParking: If anybody is any area of the Italian Kitchen I would strongly suggest stop ATM machine and pop in there will be happy you walked in the door they will take care of youWheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible“
“Wilmington's Trolley Square has long been a haven for delicious discoveries, but Gaudiello's Italian Hoagies takes the crown for their porchetta sub. This isn't just a sandwich; it's a symphony of textures and flavors, a testament to the art of Italian charcuterie. The star, of course, is the porchetta. The impossibly crisp skin yields to layers of juicy, herb-infused pork. Each bite is a concerto of savory richness, the perfect harmony of fat and lean. Gaudiello's doesn't drown this masterpiece in unnecessary embellishments. A touch of garlicky broccoli rabe adds a delightful bitterness, while sharp provolone cheese cuts through the richness. A hint of peppery seasoning pulls everything together, leaving you wanting more. The bread, a perfect balance of crusty and yielding, deserves its own applause. It cradles the fillings without crumbling, providing the ideal platform for each mouthful. Every element sings in perfect pitch, resulting in a chorus of pure satisfaction.Gaudiello's porchetta sub isn't just lunch; it's an experience. It's a love letter to slow roasting, a celebration of artisanal ingredients. In a world of over-stuffed monstrosities, this sub is a masterclass in balance and restraint. If you find yourself in Wilmington, don't miss this operatic masterpiece. Just be prepared to stand in ovation – this porchetta will have you applauding with every delicious bite.“
“No one makes a better hoagie or cheesesteak. Anywhere. If they served crinkle cut fries it would be better than the ones they have. But it's a sandwich shop, so can't really go wrong grabbing chips instead. The sandwiches are the absolute best I've ever had.“
“Great for a midweek date. Food is very good. I enjoyed my appetizer (the burrata --delicious and with eye appeal) more than dinner (Chicken Florentino --good but could have used some imagination). The mussels appetizer was excellent and the veal parmesan is always to perfection. Service was friendly and familiar; our server knows how to "read" her guests. The atmosphere is plain, no frills, not the type of place you want for a romantic night out; but definitely worth popping in with family and friends, or for a treat midweek.“
“Absolutely some of the best tasting and closest to homemade Italian food I’ve had yet. Absolutely perfect to dine in or order out, my old Italian Nonna loves to order from here when she doesn’t feel like cooking. Love this place so much, the interior and atmosphere is amazing and the food is even better. I always get the ravioli and it’s delicious every time. Parking isn’t ideal, then again that is not the restaurant’s fault. Wish I could go here more often, definitely a favorite spot.“
“I am Holly's husband we went to Pastabilities on Saturday night with our son and his fiancee. Everything we ate was on point! From the appetizers, entrees to desert! We found the service to be excellent, Otis was our waiter and he couldn't have been more friendly or professional. Everything we ordered was freshly made and delicious. We will definitely be back Luigi serves some of the best Italian food I ever ate since my Grandmothers cooking!“
“Joe’s is by far the best pizza shop in the area. I have tried other places and nothing comes close. Joe’s is well run with consistently good food. The same guys are always working hard in there, so they care about your order and providing excellent customer service. I’ve come in multiple times on a solo run with kids in tow, and they’ll carry my order out to the car even if they’re busy. Our favorites to get are the Joe’s Special, tomato pie, and wings, but have never had a bad meal in the 10+ years I’ve been ordering from them. Have also never waited more than 25 minutes from call to pickup, usually just 15. These guys are FAST.Joe’s also sponsors fundraising nights for local schools which I appreciate.“
“I was impressed with this restaurant before even trying it out! When I looked this place up, just the pictures alone blew me away! So, when I actually went to see if it met up to my expectations, it surpassed them ? I now love this restaurant!“
“I really like this placeOne of the most tasteful cheesesteaks in my lifeIf you like spicy one - recommending Chipotle cheesesteak and buffalo cheesesteakAlso I like there chilliMozzarella sticks little bit plainAlso I like there prices thereVery good food and service according to the prices“
“Their food is great but they don't accept ENT benefits and it's not fair to Americans on public assistance who don't extra money for food especially homeless people on Snap who only have these places to eat at they need to catch up with the rest of the country !“
“This is my go to place for Italian and Americsn food. Nice atmosphere, clean ,well lit store with pleasant staff. My chicken salad on a kaiser roll was 4 stars. You can also call ahead and order. Their frozen section has a wide variety of foods and desserts to choose from at decent prices.☆☆☆☆☆“
“I am writing this review in hopes of receiving a response. My husband and I call in regularly to collect our favorite dishes, which is the beef lasagna and the lobster mac and cheese. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere pleasant. We think it is important to support the local economy and Toscana's has served the local community successfully for many years. There is one point of constructive feedback that we would like to offer. As a take-out item, the gelato I believe is not served authentically. Toscana's appears to be serving gelato as if it is the same as ice cream. An ice cream scooper is being used instead of a specific gelato utensil. This impacts the serving amount and the way it is presented.“
“The rigatoni and sausage is great, as is the salmon. Both locations are very dog friendly, unlike Capers and Lemons (owned by the same folks. I make it a point to visit both Taverna locations, but will avoid Capers and Lemons, even though it is closer to my home. Highly recommend Taverna. Dog lovers? Stay away from Capers and Lemons.“
“We did not make a reservation as it was a last minute decision. It was a Saturday nite so that was our fault. We had a half hour wait. There is a small bar when you walk in and the bartender welcomes you to sit down. I only had a diet Coke and he did not charge for that in a plastic cup. Our waitress was great! Very personable. I ordered the Italian wedding soup. I have never had one with so many little meatballs! It was filling. I ordered cheese raviolis with a garlic and olive oil sauce and she asked if I wanted 6 or 8. I went for the 6 and after the soup, I saved the rest and had for lunch the next day. They are big and very good. The only issue was the time between our soup and entree was a little long. It appears to be a very popular place. Many people were celebrating birthdays etc while we were there. Most people had reservations and the longest I think I saw a party wait with reservations was maybe 10 mins. My son said it's his favorite Italian restaurant in the Wilmington area. I would definitely go again and make reservations!“
“First time going there tonight. Food was amazing. I had the chicken parm and my wife had shrimp linguini. Both meals were very good. Chicken parm was recommended by the waitress and did not disappoint. Huge portion and great taste. Shrimp linguini was great also. Their Limoncello Martini is my new favorite drink. Everything is made from scratch. Service was also great. Recommended meals based on taste and not price which was appreciated. Waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. we will definitely be going back we are already planning our next visit. I recommend anyone looking for good Italian food to try this place“
“We have both dined in and taken out.During dine in the food has always been great. We like the pizza, chopped salad and calamari the most.During our recent take out experience, huge disappointment. The pizza was cold, like not even attempted to keep warm during the time it was made to picked up and the calamari was a bit soggy and also cold. Not likely to get take out again.Parking: Street parking on busy street or busy neighborhood side streetsWheelchair accessibility: Tight indoor space. May be hard to navigate. Can’t speak for bathroom space.“
“We arrived early and were immediately seated. The server was friendly and knowledgeable and was very attentive to us. We ordered our dinners and enjoyed large portions. My seafood dinner (Zappa de Pesce) was delicious. My wife ordered Amalfitana and was very pleased. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Definitely worth the trip.“
“Our experience at Olive Garden celebrating my aunt's birthday was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff went above and beyond to make the celebration memorable. As we sang "Happy Birthday," the entire team surprised us by coming out with a beautifully decorated cake for my aunt. Their genuine enthusiasm and smiles made her feel incredibly special. A special shout out to Kristin on how she managed our difficult crowd. The service throughout the lunch was outstanding; the waitstaff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring our glasses were always filled and that we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of dishes that satisfied everyone's taste buds. The ambiance was perfect for a family celebration, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere. The staff was also very accomodating for our vegetarian diets. What truly set this Olive Garden experience apart was the extra effort the staff put into making my aunt's birthday unforgettable. Their attention to detail and heartfelt gestures made us feel like valued guests. We left with full hearts and satisfied appetites, grateful for the wonderful memories created at Olive Garden. We'll undoubtedly cherish this celebration for years to come. Thank you to the entire Olive Garden team for making our family gathering so extraordinary!“
“Special Christmas drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Garibaldi’s is next to Maxi's and they have a connecting inside door. You can take your cheesesteak to Maxi’s or you can take your beer to Garibaldi’s. It’s a big cheesesteak but in the picture you can see that it is dry. Maxi’s has beer but they allow smoking. The bartender was awesome. The young woman at Garibaldi’s was amazing. She made our cheesesteak on a garlic bread roll.“
“This place is a real gem, the food was freshly made. Although the place was a bit small it was an intimate setting. It’s the perfect place to relax and shave a great meal without all the commotion. The staff are nice, delightful and attentive. I had the fettuccine portobello with chicken and it was absolutely scrumptious! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal with an authentic Italian taste.“
“Food was absolutely delicious at this little hole in the wall restaurant (take out mostly) in the heart of one of Pennsylvania’s many armpit towns (Marcus Hook, with Breezewood being another). The chicken catchitorie was absolutely a delight. I will return in the future. Oh, and there is a large free parking lot across the street from the restaurant to park in, so you don’t have to worry about the local yokels hassling you on the metered spaces on the main street. We dined in and that is why only 3 stars on atmosphere. It was clean but very spartan, no artwork or any thing, no fancy lighting, but again I feel this caters mostly to the takeout crowd.Parking: about 30 spots all unmarked, just park!“
“I ordered a buffalo chicken cheese steak they used regular hot sauce in which I didn't care for but it was still decent and ordered a ham and cheese in which it was nasty. I was a little upset because I'm pregnant and they refused for me to use the bathroom. I guess I can't complain too much about it I guess. I will definitely try other types of cheese steaks“
“We had booked a party for 20 people on February 17th 2024 under name of Dianne my family and guests were amazed at the atmosphere and the quality and portions of the food. The servers we incredible way to go .we order atleast once a week from u .thanks “
“We ordered take out. Food itself was very good. Only issue was that I ordered a plain chicken steak (no cheese) the person taking the order typed it in correctly however the kitchen staff decided to add cheese anyway. I didn't know this until after getting home so we had to make a trip back for the corrected sandwich because they said delivery would take over an hour. The corrected chicken steak was very good. We also ordered fries, a pizza steak, garlic knots, a hamburger, onion rings and meatballs. Everything was a 8/10 and we'll definitely return. I'll just check the food before leaving the restaurant.“
“Great tasting pizza and other quality offerings plus good prompt service, however slightly inconsistent. Wife and I ordered a large plain pie to go 2 weeks ago, I go in and pay 13 cash. Last night I ordered the same large plain pie but my Wife was charged 16 cash. No mention of a change in price to be found anywhere, price point is why we didn't go across the street. Was missing some crust on this oval pie as well.“
“5 of us went today (Sunday at 1pm). It's small, but there was seating available. Our server was nice. Really great portion sizes. Everyone left stuffed and satisfied.Vegetarian options: Eggs, pancakes, French toast, waffles, salads, etc.“
“We go to Gallucios for take out, mainly pizza. I feel over the years the quality has changed some, or maybe they are just easier on the cheese. We have asked for well done crusts and often the crust comes out flimsy or doughy still, so in the future I'll ask for extra well done. Still good pizza over all.Parking: Every time I have gone, there has been free street parking available, but during a busy bar night it could be challenging“
“Take out. Plain pizza and a order of hot wings. Repeat order. Always delicious.Take out pick up and ordering at the counter was a little hectic. Could be better organized. Decorous typical of a pizza parlor, plenty of seating available. But it's all about the food, and the food is consistently excellent.“
“Awesome environment and friendly service. The food speaks for itself the most authentic pizza in DelawareVegetarian options: VarietyParking: Huge parking lotKid-friendliness: My kids begged me to come backWheelchair accessibility: It is accessible though all sides wheelchair friendly“
“On Feb.14, 2024, We called for a "large plain pizza"(takeout). It's been a long time since we ordered from Grotto because of a noticeable decline in taste, etc. This purchase was like the Grotto pizza of old, the original "Legendary flavor". Thank you (DP) for re-establishing the best pizza even, the way it was when you 1st opened in Rehoboth. I hope all the locations are onboard.. Also, on the 14th, it was 9:30 pm. but the staff were friendly and courteous!“
“Hi. I love your ham & cheese hoagies, but I tried your cheese steak today & it was too much meat & not enough tomato for an old lady. I'd like to try it again sometime, but can you customize it for me & put a bit less meat & twice as much tomato the next time? I'm sure it would be great that way in my case. Thanks for your consideration. Happy New Year!“
“Me and my ex-Father in law take the grandkids there all the time when we visit them for birthdays and holidays. Breakfast is always good and the waitresses are friendly and the service is great. My favorite is the waffles w strawberries and my 3 grandaughters love the pancakes.Kid-friendliness: The waitresses r always great w the girls.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair access.“
“This was a culinary experience that left me craving for more. Love the cozy and inviting ambiance. When you enter you will smell the aroma of freshly baked pizza. yumm! The pizza was definitely the star of the show! The crust was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. Generous portion sizes justified their reasonable prices. Every dollar spent was worth it! all in all, it was a delightful experience!“
“Tried the food here for the 1st time and it has been very good, well otherwise the mall where not much happens. It was a late lunch, The waiter greeted us well and took very good care of us. We did the veg and kids menu both turned out good. I recommend.“
“We haven’t ordered from Season’s in a really long time just because it honestly wasn’t always the best or the order was wrong. We ordered tonight and Mila who took our order was the most pleasant person we have dealt with in any customer service role in a long time. She repeated everything exactly and clarified any special instructions and even gave a shout out to our 7 year old for his order. As a mom of two young boys it’s so nice to see so many local restaurants hiring good young people to represent their business. Our dinner was perfect and will be our go to for Friday night take out. #BeLikeMila“
“I really love their food that's really the only place that I eat and I always get the chicken shrimp and rice extra shrimp chef be hooking it up for me I'll call him chef but it's the guy that cooks the food he really does a good job he makes that place“
“I like Ciconte’s to grab lunches, their menu has a lot of variety. So far I tried the calzone (which I waited like 20mins for it but was delicious) and the chicken alfredo pasta, it comes with bread too. All dishes proportions are big and overall if you’re looking to have a nice meal why not Ciconte’“
“I've been coming to this primos a little over a year when I'm in the area and I've never been dissapointed. I always get a large big t with the works and puevlon on one side. My order continues to be right with each visit. The staff is cool and laid back which I know dealing with the public all day can be rough especially when putting up with different personalities and demands. I drive past two other places that make hoggies. At one place they always have terrible attitudes regardless of how pleasant you are and they constantly mess up orders. At the other spot the people act as if they were kidnapped and are being held against their will so they throw your order together quickly with minimum effort just to stop the beatings from management. I'll take this primos over those two other locations any day of the week.“
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND: 2 large pizzas for $23.99. That is an astronomically good deal. They offer that everyday. I would NOT recommend the “specialty” pizzas that come out to $22.99 a pop. With these kinds of pizza places it’s always about the calories per dollar. The staff here is fun and is down to chat when they have time. Kevin, Paul, Rob, and Mickey are all really cool staff and are when they have down-time they love to crack jokes to make your day. This place is split into a takeout spot and a dine-in spot. I went with the takeout although the dine-in looks like a chill Italian restaurant to bring your grandparents.“
“The buffet on Thursday night is absolutely the best food I have ever seen on a buffet, anywhere! The fresh salads, huge sweet crab legs, and I think my favorite is the homemade ravioli. Can't wait to come back. The servers are the best! Kudos to Elvis.“
