“This is my favorite boba shop and I’m very picky when it comes to boba. I don’t like when milk tea is made from fake milk teas powder like a lot of boba shops do. This place is the real deal. They make EVERYTHING from scratch. The black tea is freshly brewed and use ceremonial grade matcha (nearly impossible to find a tea/coffee shop use ceremonial grade)! The honey boba is always fresh. They adjust the sweetness levels to your preference. The staff is so nice. The shop is cute and always super clean.. I could go on and on. They’re great! :)”

“If you're going to order Hungry Howie's, from this Deerfield Beach location, I suggest you don't do it from Uber. Not just one time, but a good amount of times they don't pay any attention to special orders. All I asked for was no cheese and they couldn't do that. When I called them and told them they told me that either I can order it again through Uber which I would have to pay for it again, or I can drive and pick up what I ordered. What would be the point if I ordered it through Uber. I guess I wasn't important enough to have them send the right order to me even though they screwed it up again. When I went in again to pick up my food they offered me a very weak apology which didn't really mean much since that's all they offered even though they took a half hour out of my time to pick up what they were supposed to deliver. That is the end of my Hungry Howie's business. I will be sure to describe this situation on my podcast. pizza was burnt also”

The parents were lucky to have patient and kind management and servers as I complained about what I witnessed. JB’s definitely had a more family friendly approach than I would.”

This place isn’t just my wife’s favorite Venezuelan restaurant—it’s her comfort zone. Every time we walk in, it’s like someone opened a door to her childhood. The smells, the music, the way the staff greets her like she’s family—it’s beautiful to watch. And honestly, that alone would earn this place five stars.

But here’s the part that really matters to me: I’m not Venezuelan. I’m the cringo in the corner trying to pronounce “cachapa” without sounding like I’m ordering a Pokémon. And yet, they never make me feel out of place. The staff is kind, patient, and genuinely excited to share their culture. They walk you through the menu like they’re inviting you into their home kitchen.

I’ve learned to love the food, sure—but I’ve also learned to love how this place makes people feel. Whether you grew up eating arepas or you’re just curious and hungry, they make you feel welcome. And that’s rare.

So yeah, five stars. Not just for the food, but for the feeling.”

The owner and staff were very kind and helpful, they were open late on Christmas Eve, and very accommodating. You could sit outside and people watch or inside and enjoy the wonderful smells of the open kitchen. Do yourself a favor and get there now… You will enjoy some of the best thin crust pizza you’ve ever had.”
