“Yes it's a dive bar as the name implies and they are proud of it!! As they should be!! Cold beer, limited snack type menu and a good quiet place to just relax and have a drink and a taco or burrito! Lots of classic bar type memorabilia hanging everywhere with one of a kind t-shirt designs plastered on the ceiling. You can buy their t-shirt of the month in the bar, while also subscribing to their t-shirt club which is a consortium of other like minded dive bars. Pretty neat and unusual concept.“

“Bert's Bar ... what a confusing yet interesting place ... One evening I noticed dozens and dozens of people drinking beers and congregating in front of Shorty's on Duval Street. A friend informed me that it wasn't just a random bachelor party setting their brews down on top of newspaper boxes - it was Bert's Bar! Not sure who Bert is or why he had this grand plan, but if you want to hang out with like-minded (drunk!) individuals without spending an arm and a leg, head on over to Bert's where you can have fun while socializing yet pinching your pennies.“

“I'll preface by saying I am extremely stingy giving 5 stars. 5 stars is reserved for top notch high end restaurants and even then a 5 is far and few. The Hurricane hole is a hidden gem with local charm situated inside a marina. The food and service was outstanding. We had a party of 4 service was spot on and attentive. Appetizers included Conch fritters. Nachos, 1 lb peel and eat shrimp and 12 chicken wings. All 4 Appetizers were great. For entrees we chose Jambalya, blackened catch of the day, cajun pasta and a double cheesburger. The Jambalya was legit , really well prepared and not over the top spicy it had an abundance of chicken and andouille sausage and a very healthy portion. The other dishes were equally well prepared and everyone in our group enjoyed their respected dishes. Well done, I really like this establishment.“

A more than successful evening with an excellent meal. Danger! Very modern and not Key West style.
