“The Guacamole San Jose was outstanding. The chips are some of the best restaurant style tortilla chips I've ever had. I asked for a bag to take some home since I had leftover guacamole. The mushroom burrito wasn't my favorite, but the ingredients were fresh, and it came out hot. Just a personal preference and not a complaint. The service was superb, and you could tell the team work from the staff was a genuine effort to keep everything running smoothly. Felt like a family owned establishment. I highly recommend you give it a try more than once. “We called ahead and made a last-minute reservation for an early Saturday afternoon dinner for 4 pm. We arrived at 4:05. The wine tasting area was busy as we made our way inside to check in. There were 7 staff members at the desk. Three were obviously busy, but surprisingly, no one made eye contact, acknowledged us much less, and checked us in. After about 5 mins, one person asked us and said we'd need to wait. We waited until another person actually looked and also said we'd need to wait. I watched as they checked others in as well. It was not a warm welcome, and it felt like we and others were an inconvenience and bother. I realize everyone is busy, but the greeting and first impression does make a difference as I've been told this place is great. We sat outside as the weather was perfect. We put in our drink orders until our waitress could come over. Victoria was really sweet, attentive, and friendly and saved the day. We had orange glazed calamari, Trio Medallion, Braised Short Rib risotto, carrot cake, a Cucumber spa non alcoholic beverage, Mai Tai and pretzel bread. Everything was amazing, and yes, I'd recommend the food to others. The total was $140 without tip, so it's a $$$ restaurant. Given the welcome, I'm on the fence about going again but usually give places a few tries as maybe it was just an off day. I was told a new location will be opening up, so maybe I'll try again at the new place.“
“We went for breakfast and OMG!!! What a brutal and rich thing. My wife ordered the pastrami mayorca and she loved it. I ordered the tripleta sandwich and I loved it. “We were looking for a new place to try, and I'm so glad we found this one! The host and hostess were super nice as soon as we walked in the door. We were a little early for our reservation, but they seated us immediately. (The seat in the booth needed to be recovered, but it wasn't horrendous.) Our waitress (Azaria) came right over and got our drinks and asked if we had questions. Being our first visit, we had plenty. She was so super nice and helpful. She gave us a few minutes and came back to get our order. Azaria came back to the table with an order of their pretzels because she thought it was taking a while for our food. As she was grabbing the pretzels, she realized our food was being plated and that it would be out in a few minutes. My husband ordered the ribeye, and I ordered the filet. Our steaks were both cooked perfectly, and my baked potato was SO good. It wasn't like most that have been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. The inside was light and fluffy, and the jacket was perfectly seasoned and not rubbery at all! It was such a great experience. We will absolutely be back! Their menu has a little of everything, but it's not overwhelming. You will NOT leave hungry or disappointed.“

“First, we love the old-style Florida Cracker house the restaurant is built in. Relaxed atmosphere, very clean inside. I ordered the Blackened Redfish Filet and she ordered the Blackened Grouper Reuben. Then I added the fried oyster platter and we both had sweat tea. That's a lot of food folks. The Blackened Redfish was phenomenal, and Gulf caught. The seasoning was spot on, came with some really good cheese grits too. Her Grouper Reuben was great and more than she could eat, after a few oysters of course. These oysters came from Louisiana, yes I asked. They are just a touch smaller than the farm-raised oysters but well worth it to get the natural flavor from the gulf. She had ordered Mac-n-cheese, to which they added bacon for her and she loved it. Oysters came with coleslaw and it was also perfect. Sweat tea? Yes, proper Florida sweat tea, brewed the way my Mom made it. The service was great and very friendly when I started asking questions. They also have a full liquor bar, an outside deck for live music, an outside firepit, and even have a cool little playground for the kids. By far, 10 for 10, and highly recommended by a true Florida Cracker.“

“Upon arriving, we were not greeted by any hosts/hostess for almost 10 minutes. Several staff had walked in and out of the door, to the hostess stand, and by the computer and no one seemed to acknowledge us. Trying to not like that scenario jade my first time experience, we were seated inside. Our server was a very sweet girl named Heather. She in all my visits to a restaurant has been the only server to give me fresh “extra” lemons for my water. It sounds silly but it’s something I usually have to ask for or just drink water without the flavor of lemon after the first glass. So she instantly made an impression there. Throughout our meal, she made sure to keep returning despite how busy she was to make sure we didn’t need anything else. I had the plant city salad, pretty tasty! Thank you to Heather, she turned our experience at the door around. The little details that she paid attention to, make her a wonderful server. I will say, I think the hostess/host workers need some work as they also weren’t very welcoming but that isn’t the point of my review. The take away is, going forward, we will ask to be seated with Heather. She was wonderful!“
