“Quality poke, flavors are ono, fast service, locally sourced fish. They have other goodies available as well if you have a sweet tooth. No where to dine in, there are Benches tho. It's the perfect spot to grab some food on the way to the beach.“
“What an awesome tour we took. You get to see every part of the development stages of these abalone. They also have other projects that are going on as well so you get to see their seaweed and learn about the type that they grow. The tour is complete with a taste of some sea grapes and abalone prepared 2 different ways (I love them over the grill wrapped in foil). We opted for the BBQ addition. 100% will do it again. Touring with 6 children, the outdoors were a perfect place to let them play while the BBQ is going. The menu was superb. We were greeted by Minoʻaka, who gave us the low down of the locally sourced course (surf & turf) and prepared our tent and BBQ grill. By the time we finished the tour, the propane BBQ was heated and ready to go saving us wait time. 100% recommend the tour as the guide is very knowledgeable about the farm, missed her name as were late to join the tour. 100% recommend paying extra for the BBQ (you donʻt have to eat the abalone if you donʻt like it but the steak and lobster is pretty tasty).“

“This was a great place to eat. The food tasted amazing (definitely certified ono aka delicious) and very filling. The staff was friendly and the service was relatively quick. All of the ingredients were fresh. It was very close to the ocean and local shops, and there was a bathroom inside (which was an extra bonus if you've been out and about). I would definitely recommend it to others!“
“They prepared a half pound of Spicy Poke for my wife on the spot. Smart really, no waste, always fresh. I think it was a slight amount of sea salt that gave it the nice texture, and the spice seemed to be from fresh ingredients. Simplistic perfection. Thank You.“

“I'm a local boy from Maui, so when I came to Kona for a business trip, my first thought was...FRESH fish and poke. This is the place! Definitely a local spot that pleases both tourists and kama'aina. The service was friendly and welcoming, super cool setting and clean environment. But it's the POKE that steals the show. Fresh, well prepared, and a unique plate option I've never really experienced as a poke lover before. 5 STARS without a doubt.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jackie Rey's in Kona, and oh, what a treat! The food was absolutely divine, with each dish more delicious than the last. Standouts included:- Pork Chop: Tender, juicy, and full of flavor- Lamb Shanks: Fall-off-the-bone tender and richly flavored- Duck Breast: Cooked to perfection, with a crispy skin and succulent meatThe culinary expertise and attention to detail in each dish were impressive. However, the cocktails could use some improvement. Unfortunately, they were watered down and lacked the strength and flavor I crave in a good cocktail.Despite this, I highly recommend Jackie Rey's for its exceptional food and warm atmosphere. With a few tweaks to their mixology, this restaurant would be a true gem!“

“My last night at the island was spent at Huggo’s with friends. The view was spectacular!!! The food you ask? Amazing!!! Our waitress was very attentive. We had a party of 7, and there was a stretch of time between everyone getting their meals, but they made up for it with free dessert! Definitely high on my list next time I return!“

“We love coming to the Fish Hopper. Affordable and yummy food with a great view. Every time we come to Kona, we love to stop in. Breakfast Benedict’s are our favorite. Don’t skip on their hearty dessert menu! Can’t beat the view, watching whales jump in the distance as we speak.“

“Wonderful view as the sun set, and GREAT service. Was told it was a 40min wait w/o reservations on a Th night, but were seated in 20. Excellent fish tacos, pasta, and fish and chipsParking: Small lot so chances are good you will park on the street but likely close by“

“We were able to stop in here briefly on our trip to the big island. We've never really had poke like this before and it certainly took me by surprise. The way it was broken up was a little strange to me but the seaweed salad was excellent. My girlfriend got the kalbi short ribs and they were the best kalbi she had on the island. The bartender was friendly and gave us some time to really absorb the menu, and get in a quick order before happy hour ended. It was fun seeing that locals enjoyed this place too. Would recommend checking out if you're in the area.“

“They always so packed & their hours of operation drives me crazy. May as well not even try to call in a order to go because 99% of the time they will enforce their “No Takeout” policy ????????? BUT THEIR FOOD IS SO DELICIOUS & reasonably priced ?? my favorite is their Steak sandwich !! Best I ever had - EVERY TIME ?Parking: Only fits about 5 vehicles“

“We joined friends for dinner here last night. We all really enjoyed the eggplant appetizer. I had the fresh catch with the lemon caper sauce. The mahi was prepared just right. They know how to do fish! There were too many good choices for dessert. We ended up splitting the mango cobbler with lilikoi sauce. It was excellent. The service was great! Our server was very patient with us-accomodating us with a table change (it was chilly last night) and gave one of our party extra veggies and re-running the bill for him when there was a small upcharge for using a charge card. There was some nice music which wasn't too loud which we appreciated. We will definately be back-so nice that Kona is getting some good restaurants that don't charge an arm and a leg. The was that the lilikoi martini which was gorgeous to look at could have used a little more kick and be a little less sweet.“

“A tiny restaurant with a hole in the wall vibe, offering fresh and no frill sushi. Their red hot lava sushi roll is good, but the portion was small. I had to order 2 more portions of nigiri sushi (it's 2 nigiri per portion) to fill myself up.“

“Seafood was very fresh and live. They set up everything for the bbq. Also have eating tools, spices and sauces provided. Very convenience and clean. Staff onsite are friendly and nice. Help me order and prepare the food, and provide cooking tips. Very helpful. First taste abalones sweet and tender. Not chewy at all. Love it and will go back again.“

“We had a great crab leg eating experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Crab was delicious. I didn't like how close the booths and tables were to each other. Felt liked we were crammed in with small isles for walking.Parking: The restaurant is in a shopping center so lots of parking available“

“Perfectly located next to the ocean with crashing waves, good food and friendly staff! I enjoyed the Poke pie bowl (delicious) and my spouse ordered the trio sliders with spicy fries. The atmosphere alone encourages us to go back (there doesn't seem to be many restaurants ON the water) but we'll definitely be back for more great eats also.“
“We have literally made this place a must-stop since our honeymoon in 1995. Great local spot, not touristy, just good food and drinks. Open air seating on the marina to chill and get a burger or other 'basic' pub fare. Is the food great? Honestly probably no, but the service is also mid. But who cares, you're in Kona at a local bar having a beer in a frosted goblet the size of a volleyball!“

“I ordered a to-go order at the counter from Gabby who was showering everyone who approached her with kindness and attentiveness! She recommended the yellow curry fried rice (choices of protein include: pork, chicken, beef, etc) But at the last second I saw the Sambal Beef and plunged. The result was now I have a new favorite Thai restaurant! Thank you Gabby for your service and for walking the order out to us while we waited for our movie to start!“

Food was good......we ordered the nachos as an app and they were so so big we were all pretty full when our entrees came. One thing that stood out for us was our server.......my husband had a headache, we asked where can we get ibuprofen.....she said hold on a minute and came back w 2 ibuprofen. She was so friendly and took care of our family. Sorry I don't remember her name......loved her.“

“The food was delicious! We've been eating takeout for a while but this food tasted homemade. The seating outside has shade and the service was great. The two men behind the counter were very polite and friendly. Great experience all around! We had 4 omelets and a bagel sandwich“
