“Excellent food and service. My wife and I were there for the Navy’s 248th Birthday Meal. The beef, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, corn, vegetables, and salad were delicious. Good crab legs though a bit salty. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere.”

“This is a great bar to hit after golfing at Hickam Par 3. The drinks are nice, cold and cheap. The service is great and the servers were super nice and welcoming. Small club house but offers plenty for before and after golf. You can’t beat AC and cold beer at 8$ for a large! They also give half pitchers!!”

“So happy we have a boba shop on base! Lava flow with boba is my go-to. I’m quite picky about my boba texture and cannot stand old, mushy boba and tea cafe always gets it right! They also offer punch cards which are great if you go regularly.”

“It may not seem like much at first glance, with a limited selection of drinks to choose from at this bar, but a few good pointers to note is the drinks range from about 4.50-5, and have a decent cost on pitchers too. There is a restaurant next door that serves wings, jerk chicken, and a few other things that you can buy that they can serve to you at the bar. The bar also has a decent amount of high table seating inside, and plenty of tables outside, with some being under the cover of the extension of the roof. The biggest takeaway is the fact that they have 4 pool tables, and you can rent a set of balls for free, on the condition that you have to turn in a form of ID, likely your CAC. When it's not busy and people aren't waiting to rent balls, you can play until close. Otherwise, you'll only be able to rent for 1 hour and wait for your turn. The atmosphere is generally nice, and the music ranges from Techno for one playlist, to multiple forms of Rock, to some popish music. Maybe you can request, but otherwise a DJ does come around once a weekend.”

“This subway rocked. I got fresh bread luckily, and the rest was all staff. The girl changed her gloves while my food toasted and had to do other things!!! She was very clean about things, and I loved it. I don’t like when subway staff keeps gloves on the whole time but does other things but this girl knew what to do! The kitchen looks very clean as well. My sandwich was made PERFECTLY, just the best subway I’ve ever had. The staff was also friendly!! And somehow it got betted.. “A hole-in-the-wall place with a ~really~ good burger and fries. Probably the best on Waikiki, or at least the best I've found so far. Generous portion sizes, too. The only knock I can give is it's not "fast" food, like you might expect for a hole-in-the-wall place: Burger was (perfectly) made to order, so it took around the same amount of time to make as it would in a sit-down restaurant, but other than that, it was great. If you're looking for a burger you can grab and take to the beach, this is the place to get it.

Parking: Only parking is what you can find in the garages on Waikiki.”

“Craving tempura, my husband found this highly rated restaurant, so we had to try it out. Located in Stix ASIA, one of several Asian restaurants in the basement of Waikiki Shopping Plaza.
Servers were attentive, yet not overbearing. We had fun teasing with our waiter, thankfully he was a good sport.
I ordered the Shrimp Tempura and the other two had the Kiki tempura bowls.
My husband thought his were greasy, but all were very good.”

“We RAN to Waffle and Berry after the zoo. We showed up 15 minutes before closed and they were quick to calm us. As long as we ordered by 2 minutes before close, we would be served. And then they showed up with a snack plate for our toddler. He absolutely loved it!! We absolutely loved our dessert. Crispy, warm waffle. Sweet ice cream and berries. Unbelievably welcoming environment.”

“TLDR: Melissa is AWESOME! But, if you are gluten free (ie no soy sauce with wheat) or allergic to mushrooms, you can’t eat here.

My husband and I combined have those allergies and Melissa was very kind to ask the chef if we could be accommodated. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible. Melissa was so respectful of how she informed us - aaaaaaand then offered us a complimentary cocktail (which was on point) and a reservation down the road at a nice restaurant that she knew could accommodate our allergies!

I don’t envy her for effectively having to kick us out, but she (and the entire staff) were so gracious to us. Thank you Melissa!”

“This coffee shop is a gem and quickly became the highlight of our trip! The owner was so welcoming to us and our baby, it has truly left such a wonderful memory for us in Oahu. We went back again and again, day after day! The Açaí bowl, Pitaya bowl, scones, cookie and coffee were all so good. The owner even came out just to say goodbye to us on our last day on the island, it was truly heartwarming! We will miss Pai Cafe so much!”
