“This is a great bar to hit after golfing at Hickam Par 3. The drinks are nice, cold and cheap. The service is great and the servers were super nice and welcoming. Small club house but offers plenty for before and after golf. You can’t beat AC and cold beer at 8$ for a large! They also give half pitchers!!”

“We were at the Cafe when it opened on a Sunday. All smiling faces (nice greeting) and great food! We had pancakes & sausage, English muffin, corned beef hash with eggs. Food was excellent! The coffee was some of the best we’ve had.”

“It may not seem like much at first glance, with a limited selection of drinks to choose from at this bar, but a few good pointers to note is the drinks range from about 4.50-5, and have a decent cost on pitchers too. There is a restaurant next door that serves wings, jerk chicken, and a few other things that you can buy that they can serve to you at the bar. The bar also has a decent amount of high table seating inside, and plenty of tables outside, with some being under the cover of the extension of the roof. The biggest takeaway is the fact that they have 4 pool tables, and you can rent a set of balls for free, on the condition that you have to turn in a form of ID, likely your CAC. When it's not busy and people aren't waiting to rent balls, you can play until close. Otherwise, you'll only be able to rent for 1 hour and wait for your turn. The atmosphere is generally nice, and the music ranges from Techno for one playlist, to multiple forms of Rock, to some popish music. Maybe you can request, but otherwise a DJ does come around once a weekend.”

Ordered 2 travelers to go, they were ready to go the moment I got there, and I was struggling to carry them so an employee helped me take them to the car. “This subway rocked. I got fresh bread luckily, and the rest was all staff. The girl changed her gloves while my food toasted and had to do other things!!! She was very clean about things, and I loved it. I don’t like when subway staff keeps gloves on the whole time but does other things but this girl knew what to do! The kitchen looks very clean as well. My sandwich was made PERFECTLY, just the best subway I’ve ever had. The staff was also friendly!! And somehow it got betted.. “My wife and I were invited by friends to a special fundraiser dinner at Bar Maze, and we really enjoyed the evening. The ambiance was warm and stylish, and the service throughout the night was genuinely thoughtful.

The menu offered a lot of food, with each dish bringing something fun to the table. The snacks were a great start—the smoked salmon dip disappeared quickly, the anago with smoked egg yolk was rich and addictive, and the chicken skin with chimichurri had that “I could snack on these all night” energy. The choke garlic balls with caviar and ranch were a surprising combo that worked far better than expected.

The ahi course was bright and refreshing, and the scallop with “Hawaii XO” and puffed rice was both comforting and elegant. The cheeseburger course was just pure fun, and Ethel’s grill taco rice had a nostalgic, homey vibe. “Textures of a crack seed shop” was playful and full of little surprises, and the chestnut tiramisu was a cozy, satisfying finish.

The spirit behind the event made the night even more meaningful, and we were grateful to be part of it. Bar Maze is easy to recommend, and we look forward to visiting again.”

“I was visiting Honolulu from Wisconsin, and this food truck ended up being one of the best surprises of the whole trip. I’ll be honest the walk to it looks a little sketchy at first since you head down this small alley, but don’t let that fool you. Once you get back there, it’s a whole different story. The customer service was awesome super friendly, super welcoming. And the food? Straight-up 10/10. The loaded barbecue fries were insane, packed with flavor and totally worth every bite. The burgers were just as amazing, juicy and cooked perfectly. Everything we tried was out of this world. If you’re in Honolulu, don’t sleep on this place. I’d come back in a heartbeat.”

“We RAN to Waffle and Berry after the zoo. We showed up 15 minutes before closed and they were quick to calm us. As long as we ordered by 2 minutes before close, we would be served. And then they showed up with a snack plate for our toddler. He absolutely loved it!! We absolutely loved our dessert. Crispy, warm waffle. Sweet ice cream and berries. Unbelievably welcoming environment.”
