“Food so ono! Everything was delicious! We had the Eggplant, Lobster pasta, Scallops, & Beets. I never thought I'd be a Beet fan, but I couldn't get enough! I'll be back!*they have the option to order from your smartphone. Personally I don't like that, but it is efficient AND the staff is happy to take your order the good old fashioned way.”
“Love this place. Got me going back to Chinatown. The only bad thing is that they have to get rid of the attitude of hurry up and finish your drink, here's the check. Here's your hat what's your hurry?”
“I've been wanting to try this place for over a long time now and FINALLY got a chance a chance to go!! Luckily it was early on a Wednesday night and we were able to walk in without reservations. But with only two guys working they limited the seating. Located in the a tiny intimate space with a bar and some tables I heard that the best seats are at the bar with front row seats so you can see the bartenders do their thing. We were seated on a table where we couldn't see but it's ok because we were engaged in conversation all night. Love that we all got different things and got to try each other's drinks. Everything was crafted with excellent care and beautifully and articulately presented with a short narrative about each drink. The starred ones were my faves. Round 1: ***E ho'o pau mai tai-12 year rum, spices: orgeat, fig lime, absinthe, keawe wood smoke. My friend said this was the world's best mai tai. I always wonder how anyone can make that claim unless they have literally travelled the world and tasted every maitai. They might not be wrong though, because this award winning drink was one of the best maitais I've ever had!!! Not too sweet, much more complex than your typical beach drink, and full of wonderful flavors! Masterfully made! **Kisetsu Sour/ lilikoi - changes seasonally - Nikka Coffey gin, mason pepper, yuzu, bergamot, lilikoi, lemon, tonic . This drink changes with the "seasons". Beautiful, refreshing and too easy to drink! Espresso martini- haku vodka, pandan, cynar, sesame, cold brew, whole egg. They smoke the espresso beans in front of you. My friend liked his drink more than I did. Round 2: Red Shiso smash- (not on the menu)-Toki, red shiso, lemon, yuzu, wasabon sugar, soda. Good but not my favorite. ***El Umami- tequila, mezcal, bergamot, strawberry, tomato, bergamot- lovely in looks and taste! A little sweet, a little smoky. Roma Norte- mezcal, chile verde, grapefruit, honey, black pepper, frozen apple. Super cool presentation. Good if you like smoky. ***Smoked salmon- bourbon smoked salmon, wasabi, dill oil, smoked trout roe. Soooo good! Great for sharing. Excellent servers knew we'd need more bread. Complimentary: Rice ball snacks Dessert: Ganache with yuzu- a perfect ending! Service by the guy in the leather apron and hat (sorry didn't catch his name ) was top notch. We were very well attended to. Love that they fill chilled water without having to be asked through the evening. I can see why people love this place and why it's James Beard worthy! Drinks nowadays are pricey everywhere. Theirs come with creativity, care, craftsmanship and class which give them more value than those at most other bars.”
“Stopped by this British-influenced bar and restaurant upon a recommendation on my last night in Honolulu. The service was a bit cold but the drinks definitely delivered. The cheeseboard-inspired blue cheese washed cocktail was unlike anything I’ve had with a deep savouriness balanced by the pleasant tart-sweetness of pickled grapes. It’s a showstopper. I also loved the alcoholic tepache, which is pleasantly fermented and not too sweet. Didn’t try any food but it sounded good too.”
“Absolute best poke I’ve had on the island - went in and asked them to make their best poke salad and they did not disappoint. My husband got the shaved ice and said it was super delicious and a generous amount of it. Highly recommend and will definitely come back! We even were able to sit outside at the picnic table. Great staff ”
“This restaurant was truly such an amazing place. The staff were incredibly kind and really just so helpful. It was my family and my first time here but we will be returning 100%.The food was absolutely delicious. I’ve never had anything like it in my life. I got the beef pho broth and beef brisket. It was life changing. I got some of the garlic butter they have and it was so so yummy. We had dessert after and it was also very delicious. We had the shave ice with boba. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area.”
“I absolutely love this place! 20/10 shave ice and friendly! I try to stop by as often as I can when I’m on that side. I also love taking my clients here! My favorite shave ice on island! ? (Blue vanilla + coconut = an unbeatable flavor combo in my opinion)”
“If you are a fan of this type of dining (Omakase),this was easily the best restaurant experience we have had in Hawaii... and tops of all time. Service was excellent - Justin and the entire team made every course of the 5 special. The food was paired with a different cocktail for each course and it was perfect. Each course was a culinary adventure. Even though it's an intimate environment and you are close to the kitchen, the team works quietly and so seamlessly it's like a work of art. The entire production was flawless. While expensive, it was easily one of best experiencee we have ever had which made it a great value. Completely and highly recommended.”
“Food here was great!!!! so many options it was hard to choose one, I got the green onion pancake with provolone and bacon which was delicious. Also have to try the vanilla bean blended it was sooooooo good! Kevin was a great waiter, so nice and attentive!!Parking: Lots of spots”
“I loved the food, atmosphere and most of all the service! On vacation in Hawaii and our final lunch spot was here. Random stop. When we goggled their menu.... it looked amazing. We get there, and they did not disappoint. They gave us some samples to take on the road with us. They were the greatest! Stop in... you won't regret.”
“Impromptu St Patty's Day stop in. Thought we had to go inside, but the outdoor area was a a surprisingly awesome place to sit and have good conversations with our bartender. the food was great and specialty cocktails were on point!”
“The menu is extensive so I asked for suggestions but since no one speaks English they just pointed at a few items and I said yes because life is short and it was awesome. The only downside is that when I go back, I won't remember what I had so fingers crossed that I try something new.”
“Great vegan options with friendly, helpful staff. This is not fast food, but the atmosphere is a delightful place to relax. The food was delicious with a large menu.”
“I read quite a few reviews of eateries in Chinatown pushing a narrative that this is a scary or unsafe area, please don't let this deter you. Chinatown has some of the best restaurants on the island and Fete is one of them. Everything Ive had at Fete has been extremely fresh and made to perfection. I can't say enough good things about the chef and the friendly attentive staff. Do yourself a favor and make the reservation now, you'll thank me later!Vegetarian options: I had the risotto and fete salad both were incredibly fresh and delicious!”
“A must-visit famous restaurant that ranks as the latest in Hawaiian gourmet food. Each dish is infused with ingenuity and a variety of tastes, and I hear that its reputation has only increased since it opened in 2016.If you remember the names of chefs Anthony Rush and Chris Kajioka, something good will come of it.It is located in downtown, about 25 minutes from Waikiki, taking into account traffic congestion. As a leading Hawaiian gourmet restaurant on Oahu that continues to evolve over the years, this is a restaurant that you should definitely make a reservation for when you come to Oahu.”
“Lots of coffee memorabilia on the walls. On-site roasting smells great. There is a small coffee bean garden with QR code download tour. There is an area for eating and light meeting. Some of the staff were nice enough to entertain a lot of my curiosity history questions on coffee in and around the area and other.Wheelchair accessibility: Larger width wheelchairs may have some manuering limitations.”
“Food is exceptional. Showed up as a picky eater. No fish. Food here is so damn good I've started eating new foods and have been at this sushi spot well over 50 times in the past 4 yearsGo to's are-Calvin's choice-SOS-Red Dragon-Spicy AhiBut holy S#!T the food here is fire a must whether tourist or live here best damn sushi on the island, always playing fire kpop music going goblin mode and great vibes. This place is a MUST puts dorakus to shame plus, fraction of the price. Get you some good a$$ sushi and stop by.”
“Blondie's is the best vegan restaurant on island in my opinion. It's the most similar to vegan comfort food that can be found in places like Portland and is really unlike any other food available on O'ahu. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is always top notch (Cybil is the absolute sweetest!). The restaurant is run by a mother-daughter duo and my heart is warmed every time I think of this. Even my non-vegan friends and family enjoy the food! Blondie's also happens to make my favorite smoothie of all time—the pipeline paradise. I have something of a smoothie obsession and I literally dream of this smoothie constantly. Highly recommend giving Blondie's a try!”
“Protect this place at all cost. Best Poke I have had ever!!!! Tasted so fresh, everything in my bowl was the best quality. Every place in Denver just doesn’t add up.”
“Incredible food and friendly service. I cannot impress thru words how awesome Chelsea is. She went thru the entire menu and spoke on any dish I asked about. This is our second time as the first time was take out and the food was incredible. I dined in for breakfast and the food was incredible again. We moved here from Europe a few years ago and really appreciate the healthy style of cooking they do versus the normal sugar / salt / fat / fried food. All I have to say is come and just come and try it. It is great.Finding Sweet Corner Cafe is a little tricker. It is down the inclined drive and in the basement of the building off the street. There is a vertical banner with a Lucky Cat at the top of the drive by the street. I just parked on the street and walked down the incline to the entrance on the side of the building. There was a cat (Biggie) hanging out by the door and Sweet Corner Cafe is just down the hall with a sign above the door.”
“Yooo! The 3 combo plate and the kalua pig plate w/ adobo fried rice ? amazing. My husband got fried chicken, lechon and kalua pig. All amazing and huge portions so we shared the entire meal and ordered the dessert, which they were kind enough to keep until we finished our meal. The ube ice cream was delicious and the glaze and crumbles were perfect fit. Big enough for 4 ppl but we finished on our own (mostly me). We didn't try the lemonades but i definitely thought about it.”
“Best red curry I’ve ever had (seafood). Both women at the front were very sweet and welcoming. We just got in from a 10 hr flight and my kids were VERY cranky, so the ladies brought a couple markers and stickers. Great Thai tea and summer rolls. My husband said the heat (regular hot) on the table pad Thai was great.Dietary restrictions: We don’t eat pork and very pleasantly surprised to find that they don’t add pork to their summer rolls. Shrimp only! So happy about this, and they were very good and fresh.”
“It's a great location to come after touring Pearl Harbor. It's so, so delicious. It's perfect for Korean tastes. fried rice. Everything including rice noodles is delicious. The portions are large, so you can eat to your fill, the price is reasonable, and it's perfect.”
“All the pre-set menu items look delish. Service was super fast and the staff were nice when I entered :) I got the veggie sandwich whole and it was HUGE. Like totally worth the price. My partner got the hula sandwich half and it was delicious. We were already in the area for the vet across the street so it worked great to stop by Ohana sub. Better than most sandwich shops on Oahu ❤️”
“Decided to try this place after reading the reviews. Two of us went on a Saturday around 1pm. We were the only party there, then another table of three arrived.Location: Waipahu. Don't know the name of the mall. This is the location of the former Thai Kitchen between what used to be the Chinese restaurant and the laundromat. Nearby there is Pacific Market.Parking: There is parking in that area. Hey now this is too funny! If you look at other yelp photos of the parking, even from a year ago - you'll see the same gray SUV parked in front of the restaurant license plate number NVD.....I just thought that was hilarious. What to expect: Friendly staff. They accept cash and cards. No liquor so BYOBottle. Any takeout container (for leftovers) costs $1 each. Eat all your food, or bring your own container.Atmosphere: It is a small place, with about 10-12 tables. Friendly staff. I didn't ask about a bathroom so unsure about that.Service: Friendly! Food: Nice menu. There are three banchans. I don't know if the variety changes daily. There was bean sprouts, radish, and kim chee. Would have been nice to have a green one too. We ordered the meat jun and BBQ chicken combo, stone pot bibimbap, seafood pancakes.Verdict: BBQ Chicken was excellent. Meat Jun was tasty but could've had more meat. Way too thin. We have a favorite Meat Jun spot in Aiea which sets the bar. This place did not meet that standard. If you're reading this you know the spot in Aiea.Seafood pancake was very good, though I like when they're served how I normally see it at other places, and not in little round pieces. Stone Pot Bibimbap. Now I was looking forward to this. The rice did not crisp because maybe I turned it too soon?? IDK. Also, there was something missing. Not enough sesame flavor?? Not excellente, missing the umami. We have our favorite Stone Pot bibimbap place in Ewa Beach. This place missed it by a couple marks. Price: We thought the price was comparable to other places. With the tip, our bill was around $60. Will I be returning?? Definitely, to try a few other items on the menu. Though the meat Jun and bibimbap did not meet expectations, this place is not off our list. There aren't many choices for Korean restaurants on the West Side unless you want the take out counter type where you stand in line, choose four veggies, etc.....and those aren't very good.”
“This is the cutest local coffee shop I've been to. We went to Ctown on Easter for supplies and stopped by this cute coffee shop for some caffeine. The mr said he sometimes comes here to work while having his coffee. I ordered a cold americano and w oatmilk and it did not disappoint. If I am in the area I will definitely return. I just wished they had one in Manoa. Hint hint. Support local.”
“Refreshing sugar cane juice in Aiea, Oahu, Hawaii...Sugah Daddeh's Kane Juice used to be by the Starbucks by Anna Miller's. I saw the shop, but didn't have time. I told myself that I would return... especially because so many of my friends wrote reviews (Donna, Irene, Angel, Deborah, Gabriel, Rissa, Janice, Reuben, Tanyce, and Kyra).Today, I saw the new location at "Downtown Pearlridge". If you go to the mall, it's above Longs Drugs Store (that's where I usually park because it's covered). Go up the escalator, and the kiosk is by Guava Smoked, Hot Topic, and Aloha Salads. Looking at the menu, the Mason Jar is the best deal because you can get $2 off when you bring the jar back for a refill! I decided to get the Mean Buggah with blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, and calamansi juice. It was really cool to watch the gal chop up the fruits (to fit the boba straw) right there!Mmm! The juice was NOT too sweet, but just right - and it felt healthy - especially after reading about the benefits of sugar cane juice!I'm looking forward to returning and trying the other flavors! Note: açai bowls, Gelato, and sorbet are also available!”
“We went awaiting a comedy show and cannot speak highly enough. How do they even make it so smooth!!! It is the best gelato i have ever had! If you like yogurt, the guava yogurt is AMAZING!”
“Great smash burgers with some alcohol shots available! Not the cheapest but thats how you get quality food.Well worth it for the wait when busy ! And its always busy there for good reason”

“I tried the Loco moco and loved it. Reasonably priced and good sized portion. I had a gift card too. Quick turnaround of service. It took longer for me to decide what to order.”
