“Texan Barbecue is one of those places that seem to have been there forever. I remember going here over 40 years ago, and have noticed little change. The decor is like a smokehouse from Nashville or Memphis.The food is tasty, and you have various barbecue causes to choose from.We had pulled pork and a Reuben sandwich.Prices are reasonable, and service is good.I have been here several times, and will continue in the future.Conveniently located just north of Algonquin and Main Street.“
“Dukes BBQ is a fantastic joint, and the owner is a good guy. Just ate there for the 1st time today, and the ribs are the best. Great dry rub and sauce. Talked to the owner Duke, and he is a good-hearted person. The train caboose is a cool location, too. Mac and cheese is great!“
“Q.P. Kitchen and Que is the type of place your looking for when your thinking BBQ! The smoked meats and sauce are perfect together. The prices are reasonable and you get a great portion of food. There is not a sit-down area, the food is to go only. Just order on from the website and they will run the food down to your car when you arrive. The owner is super friendly, appreciatice and makes some great food! Check them out on Facebook as they post when they have events or food at the bar next door.“
“Finally was able to eat here. Delicious! We had the catfish dinners and I ordered a pepper and egg sandwich to go. The catfish was perfect. The collard greens were excellent!!! And the mac and cheese was great too! The owner was very friendly. Loved learning about her journey to opening Tangie’s . Will definitely go back for the fish, eggs and to try other items on the menu. Thank you!“
“The brisket grilled cheese sandwich was delicious. It had the perfect amount of cheese so it didn’t over shadow the brisket. I’ll definitely be back. The staff was super nice and the owner was extremely friendly and even show me the beautiful pits in the back.“

“The BBQ baby ribs and the fried potato salad both were very good. We were here mid-afternoon and it was not crowded. Service was OK but not attentive. There were 5 adults and we all enjoyed the meals. Napkins were very small and not many of them...suggest wetwipes in the future especially with bbq. Meals were served on rectangular metal plates. For some, the walk from the parking lot to the front entrance maybe a challenge.“
“Husband picked up rib tips for me tonight as a surprise, after seeing a picture posted month or so ago. THEY WERE EXCELLENT!! Nice smokey flavor, but not overpowering. The BBQ sauce was out of this world. Fries? OMG!! Y'all got to go try these!“
“It has a vibe of mom and pop restaurant. Service is good but the restaurant can use a bit of face-lift inside. Food tastes good but like the other reviews, some care needs to taken. When we went there were few other guests who seemed to enjoy the food. Our server made sure we got good service.“
“Needed a place to cater for a Xmas party. Last minute decision to order from here, have never had their food so taking a chance. Best decision!! Quick to respond to an email, then a call to me. Extremely friendly, helpful and reasonably priced. Had everything I was looking for, BBQ, tortellini, chicken fingers Easy pick up and communication. Everyone loved the food, tasted great and was hot! Would definitely order there again and would eat there. The indoor space is nice, clean and comfortable looking. A wonderful owner and staff. “Places like these are based on service. Of course the food is great and the atmosphere is busy with great ambiance and the music is tasteful. But our server, Nick is the reason i will frequent this place until i die. He was attentive. Not once did i have to ask for a drink refill. Not once did i have to ask if the food would be ready and this was a Saturday night and the place was packed. For a young man like Nick to have such a positive attitude and suggest such great choices for us to eat, it’s unheard of these days. We had so much fun and were well entertained. “We came for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. Justin, our waiter was very personable and gave us great service. Our food was cooked perfectly and very good. They even surprised the birthday girl with a robot that brought her birthday dessert to our table. The robot then sang the Happy birthday song. Such a fun night. We will definitely be back soon. “It was Easter and the husband and I found ourselves no where to go. Plans fell through last minute so we decided to take a ride and see what was open. Longhorn was open and to oursurprise not a long wait. Michelle was our hostess and such a sweet thing. The food was amazing I had the 3 pork chops with brussels sprouts and husband had the chop steak. Everything was made exactly as ordered.Try LongHorn if you are looking for that step up in steakhouses that won’t rob your wallet.“
