“I needed Indian food and this place had it. The dishes made sense and I showed up on Dosa Day, which was an awesome bonus. There was an ever-flowing pot of spiced tea and a picture of the great pyramid of India. I truly felt like a participant in the subcontinental cycle of Samsara.“
“Great food! Appetizer of vegetable samosa was very tasty. I had a paneer dish, husband had a lamb dish, kids had butter chicken, all delicious & served hot! Naan was a great addition. We were served quickly and the atmosphere was romantic. We will definitely be back!“
“I ate at this location 4 times so far and I could say the food is very delicious, and always served piping hot and super fresh. Tremendous flavor and rich seasoning. The Chicken Tikka Masala is my personal favorite, the Garlic naan is always perfect. I offer people who have never tried Indian food before and give nothing but compliments to these dishes. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Establishment is always clean. I strongly recommend coming here as you’ll most likely want to come again.“
“These guys nailed the Indian-fusion food! Simple but excellent adaptations of classic favourites from Indian, Korean, American, Mexican, Italian cuisines (and then some!)We tried the vada pav (Indian burger with stuffed fried potato patty, spices etc) tacos samosa and chicken tikka were both delicious! Momos (potstickers), thin crust pizza, and samosa chaat (smashed samosas with chickpeas, chutneys, onions etc)Pleasantly surprised every dish done just perfectly with its own twist on the original. And lovely presentation. They have an ice cream station (not to be missed!)The place is casual, perky and fun… Absolutely try this place out.“
“This restaurant is my favorite treat. The food is so flavorful, good portions, and has always arrived hot upon delivery. I love how there are so many different flavors between the dishes, so I can order a variety. One of my favorites is the butter chicken and dipping the naan bread into the sauce. Yum!!“
“Food: I had masala tea & combo medu vada/idli.Very good taste. They serve three types of chutneys, I liked all and also they serve sambhar.Masala Tea quantity was a big full mug. I don't find these quantity in other Indian restaurant. Typically it is less quantity. They have options for buffet on selective days.Service: Server was very attentive and response was quick.Atmosphere: It is nice & comfortable seating arrangement to be with your loved ones, friends and family.“
“Street food is my jam!Plenty of parking but rolling up on a weekend can make for some busy times since it's in the same plaza as Patel Brothers.Tried the Chicken Masala sandwich with the mango lassi and really enjoyed them! The sandwich was served with some packages of ketchup and it added a nice tangy acidity to the sandwich. I enjoyed the crisp bread and the veggie fillings as well. Also ordered the samosa chaat and surti gotalo. Both had a nice portion. I enjoyed the samosa chaat with all the different veggies on top. The surti gotalo I ordered with roti…overall was just ok for me, I enjoyed the fried eggs on top, the shredded/chopped hard boiled eggs were subtle in flavor compared to the other items I tried.I like that they’re open late and have a number of tables and booths to dine in.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of egg centric dishes as well as other vegetarian dishes offered.Parking: Large parking lot for a strip mall, but it can be very busy since it is shared with the Patel Brothers grocery store.“
“Found this restaurant while looking through Google maps and saw the highly rated reviews! Upon picking up my food order, the staff was telling me about their food specials and highlighting certain menus to try and she was very friendly and kind! I ordered the chicken 65 (enough for 2 servings!) and Fish Tikka Masala. I also received rice, too, on the side! I will definitely say that they were delicious and I would certainly order those items again. I will definitely try their other food options in their menu as well! They have deals Tuesday thru Thursday, which is great (but double-check with the restaurant prior or if they have a website)! The restaurant is a hidden gem and I think a must try for sure! I'm surprised the restaurant wasn't busy at that time I went to pick up the food!“
“Not only is the food great but the wonderful gentleman who was my server was amazing!Lets start off my reviewing the lunch entree I got. I ordered the chef recommendation which comes with tandoori chicken, buttered chicken, and lamb (I don't know what type of curry).I asked for a spice of medium to spicy mix. Ask and you shall receive! The spice level was perfect. I wanted heat but not so much that I don't taste the food. The buttered chicken is buttered chicken. I call this the gateway food of Indian food. It's simple. Nothing that I personally would ever rave over but was yummy. Now moving on to the lamb. Oh. My. Lanta. Cooked deliciously. The curry that it came in was also tasty. Tandoori chicken came out sizzling and was seasoned perfectly with the right amount of crisp. Tender and soft as well. Lunch came with Naan which was fluffy and it looked like it was baked fresh. Definitely not the typical flat store bought Naan. Chutney was also provided when I was seated. I ordered the mango Lassi and as you would expect it was standard and good.Lets quickly talk about service. I came in with luggage (just came from the airport) and they held the door open for me. So kind! I was seated at the perfect seat where I could toss my luggage to the side and out of the way. I asked for a box and the check (server could tell I was still picking and eating) and he said "I'll bring the check later, no need to rush". What a man! So sweet and kind. I came during non-rush hours (after 2pm) and I felt like I wasn't a bother at all and very welcomed. I appreciated the small talk here and there too as a solo diner!Definitely check this place out! They also have a fully stocked bar but I didn't order a drink.“
“The samosa, saag paneer, dal tadka, and tandoori roti we ordered were incredibly flavorful, all homemade and among the best North Indian dishes I've had in the Chicago area, despite their smaller portions and the absence of rice. However, there was a noticeable lack of staff to manage both delivery orders and diners, resulting in slow service. Hiring more staff could significantly improve the restaurant's efficiency. We initially intended to order some non-vegetarian entrees, but the prolonged wait for the first set discouraged us. It's impressive that the owner and chef single-handedly manages the kitchen, but expanding the team could enhance the overall experience. Bravo to him for his dedication.“
“Everything was really good except the nans...store bought. But most everything went with plain rice...but dessert was the hit of the Sunday buffet...omg the jamum was soooo good best since Bangalore..pyasam was really good... I had 2 helpings of the hakka noodles with the cabbage curry.mix them!!! Sweet sour hot.....and egg curry!!!!!!the yellow curry sauce was so epic. 19 a buffet...but for once...worth it. A good crowd...lots of veg and non veg....Telegu cook and personnel....in short. This place is a do over!!!“
“One word: wow! Turmerica brings authentic flavors and dishes that are often missed at other restaurants. The Misal Pav is a must try! It tastes just like the ones I have had in India, and I appreciate that they serve additional spicy chili oil to increase the spice per your level. The pav was very soft and the portion size was just right! I was also very impressed with the Solkadhi, which I had never had before. It was so delicious that I could probably drink several of those at once! The last thing I tried was the Khasta Kachori. My husband and I both really enjoyed it as a snack! They serve it with the chutneys and yogurt on the side you can add it according to your taste! I will definitely be back to try their other dishes like pau bhaji, wadapav, mango or chikoo milkshake, and the specialty desserts! Btw, they serve Jain food as well!“
“The pricing at Vasco's is very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and taste of the food. You definitely get your money's worth here. Some of the popular dishes that I tried were the peri peri chicken platter and the grilled shrimp skewers. The seasoning on the chicken was perfection and the shrimp had a great charred flavor. On the other hand, the veggie wrap was not as flavorful as I had hoped. The atmosphere at Vasco's is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions.Overall, some pros of Vasco's include delicious food, great prices, and excellent customer service. However, a con would be that some menu items can lack in flavor compared to others.“
“Had dinner with some friends here last night and we all really enjoyed it. We ordered the two different types of samosas for appetizer, the Indian salad (which was a large dish of chopped fresh veggies), butter chicken, chicken biryani, shrimp curry and garlic naan. Everything was fresh and tasty. The restaurant is beautiful inside and our server was very kind and friendly. Will be returning.“
“Fresh and delicious food, great service, perfect ambience. We (8) went on a Sunday evening for a birthday dinner and everything was just right. Kudos to the team. They are starting a lunch buffet just for Fri-Sun.Vegetarian options: Though chole wasn't on the menu, we wanted puri and channa masala, and it was delicious.“
“I’ve ordered from here a few times, but today’s dish of Chicken 65 was AMAZING. I had never tried Indian food until a few months ago and I can’t wait to try everything on the menu at Indian Bistro. Today was the first time I actually went inside and the employees could not have been sweeter. What a kind group of hard working people. And the atmosphere was so nice and inviting. I will for sure be back.Vegetarian options: There is a large vegetarian section and just as delicious as the meats.Parking: Parking is right out front. Easy.Wheelchair accessibility: My kids love the rice and butter bread.“
“I had the pleasure of having Neelima Ji’s food for a gathering - Rasgullas were super soft even better than India To pull off rasgulla with the milk we get here in Singapore is not easy - she is a true gem Smooth transaction and every request was so easily accepted Thank you so much“
“Best Indian food in the area. Great flavors and the young gentleman in the front is super friendly and caring for the customers. My fiancé and I take out from there at least once a month and we have not had one bad experience. Prices are also very reasonable.“
“The best restaurant in the Des Plaines area close to many suburbs. Their food is great my kids love their nihari and I love their chicken boti and butter chicken and paya with their garlic naan. From their breakfast menu is my favorite halwa puri and their parathas. I have tried this restaurant from breakfast to lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.“
“They offer catering services for South Indian foods. Great tasting food and very good quality. Great customer service as well. They offer ready to go packages for some food items such as biriyani, butter chicken, samosas and many more. There is also an Indian store where you can buy many Indian spices and food items.“
“Went for team dinner, recommended if you like Indian with Chinese fusion dishes. Overall great experience with food. We tried garlic noodles in veg & chicken. Those were thin and tasty. Must try.In Veg panner & okra were delicious. Chef special pomfret was okay, nothing special. Chicken lollipop were crispy & yummy. Chili chicken with gray was again okay.“
“We have been long time customers from when they were on Devon Ave. years ago. This is much further, however we still come back over and over for the Chili Chicken, Frontier Chicken and all of other favorites! Great food for a quick bite, take out or dine in.“
“The food is amazing here.. The Hakka noodles were the star of the show.. We also tried chef’s special fried chicken biryani which was delicious and the dosa was great too.. The best way to end our meal was the Madras Coffee which was amazing and authentic!! We will definitely go back there..“
“I was looking for an Indian food place nearby and The Masala Order popped up. It's in an industrial park and I couldn't picture it, but it's there! We got lucky that it was open when we wanted to eat. The owner/cook Steve is the nicest guy ever and boy can he make delicious chicken tikka. Good portion so I had lunch for the next day, too. What's even better is I can ride my bike there so if my car is busted or out of gas, I can still go. The sign outside says "The Lake Zurich Community Kitchen" so be aware of that. The mint chutney was watery, but maybe that's a regional thing. It was still very good. Will have to try other stuff. I highly recommend this place.“
“It was a pleasant experience to come here. I was skeptical if the place would live up to its branding as something unique but the dishes were not only tasty but created with care and were different from a regular Indian restaurant. Really enjoyed the chicken sandwiches, the tikka Botis, and even the butter chicken was delicious. I wish the roti were bigger. The waiter and server were concerned to make everything to our liking, we had friends who did not eat spice and they made sure to make their order according to how they liked it. As someone familiar with Indian cuisine, the spice was just right for me. They seemed to focus more on their dishes being flavorful rather than a spice hit, and I was glad to have it that way!“
“We were in Mt. Prospect and were hungry. Looking at options, we saw this has a buffet. Let's go! We got their right as they opened. We were told to seat ourselves. The buffet had a lot of options. My kid loves butter chicken and said it was very good. Naan, samosas, and especially the briyani were all delicious. Briyani had a bit of kick to it as well. This did not taste like generic buffet food! When we came in around 12, the place was empty. Sitting there, no one came in until near the end of our meal. My kid said it was creepy and quiet. No music and a buffet to ourselves. They have a dinner buffet as well, and we will try soon. I'll update my review based on that.“
“Tantalizing aromas welcomed us as we stepped into the cozy ambiance of Udupi, where every dish tells a flavorful tale of Indian cuisine. From the buttery richness of chicken tikka masala to the comforting embrace of channa batura, each bite was a journey through India's diverse culinary landscape. With attentive service and authentic flavors, Udupi is a delightful haven for anyone craving an unforgettable Indian dining experience.“
“Recently dined at Schaumburg Indian Grill Bar & Banquet, and it's a delightfully "utterly butterly yummy" experience. The fusion of exquisite flavors and a warm, inviting ambiance made our evening truly memorable. The courteous host added to the positive atmosphere, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Schaumburg Indian Grill Bar & Banquet is now a favorite, and we're already planning to revisit soon. Thank you for the exceptional food and hospitality!“
“I'm a novice when it comes to Indian food. I have had some very bad Indian food. But this was excellent. So good. So flavorful. Excellent rice. The waiter recommended the chicken tiki masala and lamb Josh Rogan. Both were so delicious. It's BYOB. So bring your own wine. But definitely try it. Naan was excellent.“
