“Avec has been on my list for a while and I finally was able to stop in with a friend for brunch! After tasting, I regret that it took me this long. Avec is a quaint spot with family style seating so I do recommend making a reservation if possible. We made our reservation for a Saturday and we were seated immediately at our reservation time by an eager and inviting hostess. Our server greeted us immediately and walked us through their brunch menu. The server was friendly, and gave some solid suggestions which was helpful as Avec has so many great dishes for brunch. After careful consideration and server recommendation, we landed on: -Mimosas (its brunch, of course we did a round of mimosas.) -French toast: topped with ricotta and berry compote garnished with mint and almonds. I loved that it was not too sweet, it has great balance. -Pork Belly: OMG nice and fatty with the perfect tender texture (not too chewy) it was nicely glazed for a bold flavor. -Chorizo Stuffed Medjool Dates: Talk about the star of the show! Literally chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon abbd a pepper tomato sauce. Sweet and savory perfect balance for brunch. To go I ordered their coffee cake as well as a iced coffee. Even the pastries were remarkable! I cannot wait to get back to Avec. For the service of course, but also for their dates!“

We have a huge group for brunch on a saturday so we were really thinking we weren’t going to get to try it but they really made space for us and accommodated everyone. “We reserved Cindy’s in advance. Showed up 8 minutes before reservation and were told we couldn’t be seated despite restaurant was empty. In the reservation, it was stated that we were celebrating my friend’s birthday yet no mention was ever made of this during our experience. Additionally, since it was a celebration we requested a table with a view but (despite restaurant being empty) we were seated by the bar which is farthest from the view. The service was good. The crab roll sandwich was tasty but not worthy of $28. My friend loved the protein bowl. It’s a beautiful location but I was disappointed with the lack of acknowledgement to our special event as well as the late seating in a less-desirable location despite being empty and reserving in advance.“

“For the most part my experience was fine with some exceptions. Most notably was the wait for my food. It may have been my mistake ordering a hash skillet in a place known for it's pancakes. I was eating alone and immediately after I ordered, another guest was seated, also alone, next to me. He was able to order, eat and pay, before I got my entree. No kidding. He got the pancakes. My bad. When it did come, it was over-cooked and really not good.The place was fairly noisy due to the breathtaking volume they were serving at the time so, pretty expected. Except for my food, the place ran pretty efffciently. It was clean and lovely interior.It's a nice place, I'm not sure if it's deserving of it's reputation but, one thing I can say for sure is, you should just get the pancakes.“

Atmosphere, service, cleanliness, promptly being seated AND served with a reservation, courteous waitstaff, and last but not least...every dish we tasted was superbly plated and tasted amazing. We had the restaurant week special with 3 entrees. We chose the pot roast, blackened salmon w/creamed spinach, honey chicken with fried pound cake, short ribs /mashed potatoes, shrimp n grits. Well done! We will be coming back!“

These were easily the best spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail rolls I've ever had - they're good-sized bits of quality meat mixed with a delicious spicy mayo sauce. No meat paste. “Bought two chicken wraps and one gyro wrap to go after spending the day in the city. Was expecting shawarma type wrap, but it was more burrito style. It was great and huge portions, filled with delicious and fresh vegetables and marinated tender meat.
