“I had the bolgogi dinner plate for lunch today. Was the first customer through the door. The staff was attentive and gave out suggestions on what to get off the menu. The free side dishes are awesome and they make their kimchi in house. The cucumbers are definitely packed with a sweet and spicy kimchi. The bolgoi was very flavorful and was a huge portion size(shareable). Only thing I wish is if they had a lettuce wrap for it. All in all it is a great time and would highly recommend.”

Personal favorites are the Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao. They are also able to accommodate special requests. Want no tail on your shrimp? No problem! They can even do things like make Pad Thai with wide noodles (for a very minor price difference).

“I recently worked with Paris Super Crepes to coordinate a stop on a dessert crawl which raised money for a children's museum! The staff was very flexible in finding the right menu item and price that fit our budget, and was easy to work with as I always received communication back in a timely manner. The simpler and more decadent crepes are all delicious, and the staff working at the time of our dessert crawl even threw in some extra fruit for the last couple crepes which was very sweet of them! I highly recommend Paris Super Crepes for a dessert stop, you must try the crepes and bubble tea!”

Hands down, they have the absolute BEST portions on the entire campus, and the food completely smacks! The owner is incredibly nice and generous, though the student workers he hires can be pretty funny. I’ll never forget the time a worker, definitely a student, was trying to impress a girl in line behind me while assembling my bowl. “He is just a one man show, so its impressive what he can do. The food feels not like fast food in that its addictive or amazing but rather it feels homemade and fresh (because he's literally cooking it right there in front of you). It feels less like I've gone out to eat and more like I sat down for my uncle to cook me something wholesome. The portion is generous and fit for two meals, especially since the incredibly diverse/loaded salad and the free fruit he gave fills you up. This is my first time and it won't be my last (the hours are my main issue but knowing its just him working I can't blame him).”

“I think it’s gotten a little better over the years, but this is just a very pretentious place even though they obviously benefit a lot from having “fun” drinks. I had a bad experience with the elitist baristas at this place years ago (2018ish) but recently decided to return, figuring that there’s no way the same bad vibe could still be there.

I ordered an iced cappuccino. Instead of telling me that he couldn’t make it, the barista told me he was charging me instead for an iced latte (which is more expensive), as they did not have a button on the cash register for it, but that he could make it. I didn’t mind paying the price of a latte, but he and the other barista started talking about it and he said to make a latte but call out cappuccino. It was kind of wild because I was waiting by the chalkboard, so literally right in front of them.

I went up to them to ask if it was a weird thing to order. He said no, but that it was basically a latte with foam. I said that that’s precisely why I had ordered it, because I wanted more foamed milk. He assumed he knew better and just made me a latte anyway, the cup said “cap” in quotation marks. He offered to remake it or add foam but I declined.

If you do find yourself there and like creamy chai lattes, it is genuinely very good. The matcha lattes are good and participating in matcha madness is expensive ($8.6 for a medium drink) but fun. The matchas are made from a concentrate they have in the fridge. The croissants are also very good but run out earlyish. No skim milk, high upcharge for the rest of the milks. Credit card upcharge implemented recently. Expensive compared to other CU coffee spots which is okay, since the drinks are good, but not if you’re going to be treated poorly…

The seating has gotten a lot better but the couch and cushions smelled bad the last time I went.”

“My review is a reflection mainly of the food here. The service is absolutely lovely, and I have been treated with nothing but kindness by the staff at La Peep. I have brought even family members from out of town here. This was my go-to breakfast spot with my partner before we explored other options in town.
While the service is very good, I cannot unfortunately say the same about the food (especially after trying other restaurants within the same price points).
While I've tried to stick to the same thing eating here (their yogurt fruit parfait), their pancakes here have nearly a burnt taste to them which makes them less than savory. Both my father and I were not a fan of their pancakes. A lot of their menu items have just been a huge miss unfortunately, and while we still might return, it's just not the best place in town.”

“Best pizza in town!!! Our go-to pizza place. Nothing beats piping hot pizza right out of your own oven, made with fresh real ingredients.
You can get your exact custom pizza from a million options and they get every detail right, every time. They are super generous with toppings and the prices are a great value. The specials are ridiculously cheap - often better than frozen grocery store pizza even! Everything is ready and waiting exactly on time, even when we order as many as eight pizzas. And the people that work there are super nice, even when they're really busy!”

“Excellent food, never had a bad meal here. A very good spot if you have a short lunch break, I'm usually in and out within ten minutes. Ordering is sometimes a little awkward because the staff speaks limited English and I speak no Chinese, but pointing and nodding and smiling has always gotten me a wonderful meal anyway. I recommend the roasted pork with mushrooms, comes with mixed veg and a lot of savory sauce for your rice.”

“To all of you complaining about the drive-thru wait times, I have an idea: get out of your car and order INSIDE! Oftentimes, you can find 2-3 employees taking orders at the same time. You can see how many cars are in the drive-thru and figure that it's going to take a while to take each car's order, payment, make your drink &/or food, package your food, hand you your food, and then wait for the car to pull out! For those of you stewing at the drive-thru wait times, you may wish to think about just how unreasonable your expectations and demands are and make some changes to your thinking patterns & life! You CAN become a more patient and better person. I agree with the man who posted that this is the busiest Starbucks - both inside & the drive-thru! I also agree with him that it is the best-managed Starbucks (that I have ever been to) and that their employees are second to none in the industry! They work extremely hard & put in long hours, put up with rude people, have to make ridiculously complicated drinks for some people, and then if they have to close the store at night, have to thoroughly clean everything and vacuum & mop the floors before leaving! How many of you seemingly over-indulged & privileged people could do ALL THAT for the (most likely) $13-14/hour they earn??? I'm 65 years old and have been going to this Starbucks since they opened. I have been to Starbucks all over the U.S. and can state, without a doubt, that THIS Starbucks makes their drinks EXACTLY as Corporate requires! That is not true of every Starbucks I've ever visited. In closing, if you don't want to wait your turn, may I suggest you go to the Starbucks in Campustown.”

NOW I HAVE HAD CB AND CABBAGE FOR OVER 50 YEARS EVERY YEAR AND I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT WAS BY FAR THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! THE CB WAS SUPER TENDER AND THE TASTE WAS OUTSTANDING. “Do not go through the drive through here! It's horrible! We eat here a lot inside but the drive through is horrible. Ex: today attempted it and there was only 1 car in line ordering. I guess they didn't know what they wanted at first so they took a really long time to figure out what they wanted. Then they pulled up and we are right behind them. I kid you not we waited about 20 minutes behind this 1 car! so I called the store letting them know they need to get this drive through going cuz there's a huge line behind us now. They could have easily had this car pull to the side in order to service the other vehicles. Well some one eventually came out to put up the other cars orders. It's just ridiculous really. Please get a better system going for the drive through. Food and inside service is great!”

“We host two holiday parties every year at Papa Del’s. They do a fantastic job setting up their upstairs space for a festive, fun party. The food is top notch, and the bar service is friendly. There’s extra space to set up games, and they have a great AV system for music or watching a sporting event. We have hosted parties here for 10+ years - and we will be back!”

“Matcha En in Champaign is a small but charming outlet with a neat, clean, and inviting layout. We visited on a quiet afternoon, and with only a handful of patrons around, it offered a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a leisurely treat.

The menu is quite extensive, featuring everything from boba teas and fresh fruit teas to smoothies, hot drinks, floats, cakes, and puddings. We opted for the Oreo cake, which was served promptly and made for a pleasant accompaniment to our visit.

This place came highly recommended by my daughter, who considers it one of her favourites, and I can certainly see the appeal. While it didn't completely wow me, it was nevertheless an enjoyable experience and one that my family thoroughly appreciated. Sometimes personal preferences play a significant role in how we perceive a place, and that may well be the case here.

Had I been staying longer in Champaign, I would have loved to explore more of the menu. Still, I'm glad I stopped by and experienced something a little different. Discovering unique food and beverage concepts that aren't commonly available is always a highlight of my travels, and Matcha En certainly delivered on that front.”

NOW I HAVE HAD CB AND CABBAGE FOR OVER 50 YEARS EVERY YEAR AND I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT WAS BY FAR THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! THE CB WAS SUPER TENDER AND THE TASTE WAS OUTSTANDING. THE PORTIONS WERE SO HUGE I GOT TWO MEALS OUT OF IT. I LOVE THIS RESTURANT, BEEN THERE MANY TIMES.”

The seasonal cocktail specials were on point, covered the range from tart to sweet and made these two revellers very happy. The music on Tuesday is great we hear, even though we were too late to listen to it. Great place. Must come back.”
