Tremendously unique and conveniently quick, Saffron Street is a must-try for anyone looking for an exciting lunch option in the loop. I've had several of their 'sandwich' items, and the list keeps growing thanks to their inspired, rotating menu. The only downside is the food comes out so quickly, you only get a few moments with their kind and courteous crew!

Small curated menu with vegetarian options aplenty. The problem for us was we were there at the end of the day when a few of the items we wanted to try were sold out ?. Okay this is the best Indian food I had in Chicago. Very limited in variety, but sooo sooo authentic, aromatic and well done. The ghee rice combined with their makhani sauce is something I only had this good in India. More people need to try this. So far I have ordered 4 times from this place already. The rice is very well done just like home, very fresh. I think their goal is quality over quantity. You will never get this fresh rice anywhere else.
