“We had our wedding at hawthornes and it was such a fun and beautiful experience. Heidi was so attentive to my guest and most importantly my dog. She made sure everything was taken off our hands and helped make sure it was a stress free day. She took such good care of us and made sure we had the chance to eat and drink while we were busy greeting our guest. The food was outstanding and I will definitely come back to host future events. “We had BBQ on wheels cater my wedding on 9/23/23. The food was absolutely outstanding! Everyone was complimenting it. It was the most hands free easy going catering service I have ever worked with. We did the pig roast with the Oktoberfest menu and holy moly was that food good! They came on time, set everything up, food was out right on time, packed all the leftovers and cleaned up. I had about 110 people there and there was so much food leftover for my guests to take home. Communication was on point and anytime I had a question or needed to change something, they responded right away. I will definitely be using them again when I need catering next!“

I got edumacated with some Fun facts about the joint: ? they actually cater to (literally and figuratively) first responders!! ? All of their merch on the wall is donated by legit first responders. ? There's a 9/11 wall as well. In fact, they opened up on 9/11! Their engagement throughout our lunch was phenomenal ? Nothing but great things to say about this place. ?️ Only negative thing about my experience.....my stomach hurting from eating too much ???✊You gotta give this place a try!! “Honestly, BBQ is not my favorite. It is usually messy, overcooked, low quality meat covered with sauce to over power the lack of natural flavor. I was taken a back by how good DAMO was. DAMN, the food blew my mind actually. Our band Ginger Road went by after a show and were treated with an absolute feast of flavor. The brisket and ribs were the best this guy ever had. I told a bunch of people and they all raved about the pulled pork and chicken too.Maggie and Dan were fantastic and added to the experience. I recommend them for your event. You will not be disappointed!“
“Cozy ambiance, Wonderful service and a Bolognese sauce with a 150 year old tradition. The meatballs in the rigatoni were silky smooth. I got a chance to meet the owner who couldn't have been nicer. And he knows his business! You have to get here as soon as possible. You'll definitely want to come back again and again!“
“Recently moved to North Aurora and we were looking for some pizza this past Saturday night. Decided to try Mario's. Used the Slice app on my phone. Got there on time for pick up but they were super busy and had to wait a bit. Manager / owner came out and apolgized for the delay and offered free water or pop. I Politely declined and continued to wait. A few minutes later the same gentleman came all the way out to the front with 2 boxes. He said there was some sort of glitch with the app and said it ordered twice but I was only charged for one! I said are you sure? He said yes please take them and thanked me again for my patience. The pizza was still steaming hot when we got back to the apartment, and it was really very good! Will defininately be going back to Mario's!“
“We went here late on a Tuesday night. We reserved a karaoke room to celebrate my friends birthday. We were definitely the only customers in the building and it was so nice for them to stay open late for us! We had a great time. The medium size room was a good size for our party 7 or 8. Maggie took great care of us. The drinks were good. We all had such a fun time and we will definitely be back! Thanks Maggie!!“

“Fun spot! Gives me Wisconsin/Minnesota vibes. Great drinks (nonalcoholic options too which was nice). I haven’t tried the food yet but it looks good! I really like the atmosphere. It’s an outdoorsy inside. TV’s for sports. Good music always playing. Highly recommend! One of my fav spots downtown St. Charles.“

Both times the food was made in a timely manner and quality is amazing! I have a location closer to me but this location sells the wings which is really good! I would definitely come back to eat! They also had such a friendly and welcoming attitude both times I've been here which is nice!“
“Second time eating here and loved my meal! It is off menu item but I called it the Swedish Kabob just like I used to eat when I lived in Sweden. It is fries, gyro meat, salad and then garlic and hot sauce on top. I had it with the spicy fries and omg it was SOOO good!!! I would highly recommend this!“
