“Such a spectacular space! I am the client concierge for a financial group & we held a cocktail party for some of our clients in the Soto Room private bar last night. Our staff & guests loved the experience! I heard many good things about the smoked Old Fashioned & was very impressed with the serving vessel. So cool! The pizza was also delicious. New Haven style pizza might just be my new favorite! We can’t say enough good things about the space & talent behind the bar. Mike was wonderful to work with, very kind, quick & considerate in his approach. I look forward to our next visit!“

“This is a cool spot in Highwood. Nothing really stands out as exceptional, but everything was pretty good.I got the rueban sandwich because we were there on St Patrick's Day. It was ok. The plain French fries were very average, but the truffle fries were much better.The calamari was good, but the other appetizers were not so much. The goat cheese was bland and the crab cakes were small and mushy.I had an alcohol free cocktail and it was good, but not $9 good.The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both loved by our dining partners.The service was pretty slow, but I'm sure they were under staffed since it was a holiday weekend.“

“We came by to Moe's after hearing about an advertisement for a special brunch event, and we were floored by the wonderful people running this place! They were very friendly and inviting, and held a simple but classic brunch with mimosas and the atmosphere was kind and caring! We haven't been to it in the evening as a bar, but this brunch special is something they'd like to run monthly and we'll worth it!“

“Came in on a Monday to catch up with a friend and this was the perfect destination. We got there on the early side and enjoyed a glass of wine from and excellent wine list 1 a lot of unique offerings. Our waitress was great, letting us taste a small sip before selecting our wine. We moved on to the pumpkin seed hummus; delish and unique. Wish it was served with fresh rather than oiled/buttered toast but it was still delish. I opened for the zucchini noodles as a main and also enjoyed. The restaurant is bright and airy, when the weather warms up the patio looks lovely.“

“I was hesitant to start writing, since I wanted to keep the place all to myself! But this would not be fair, so here goes my review. First, consider my vocabulary of superlatives to be already exhausted by previous reviewers. Second, these are the facts: we ate there twice in one week: we had a dinner and then immediately scheduled an omakase. Both time it was a life-changing experience. I kid you not! The sushi dinner was probably the best I ever had this side of the Pacific and this deep inland. In a 'regular' sushi place all sushis taste, well, like the defrosted raw fish with soy sauce. Not chef's Jino's! Each piece was different, complex, and exciting. The omakase performance was on par with a multi-Michelin-star restaurant I've ever been to with the difference being the absence of the usual hits or misses - hits only, be it a souffle, or sashimi, or filet. The host and waiter Danny was helpful and knowledgeable. And the place itself was pretty close to my ideal of a modern upscale restaurant - sleek, contemporary, and yet cosy. To the detriment of my convenience, I can only wish the place to have a month-long waiting list soon enough!“

“A friend brought me here for my birthday. It is a bit loud inside, but it is neat and clean with nice decor, lots of plants. :) the menu is all vegan, and has a variety of food styles. The appetizers are generous and good to share. While the entree portions are small, we did not leave hungry. Felt like I was in the space of the couple behind us especially when I stood up.Beef bourguignon was very pretty but underseasoned. No detectable red wine taste to the sauce or meat. Beet salad was declared “fine.” We started with the spring rolls which were good and the potstickers .. good except the sauce with ketchup and sweet chili notes was a bit overpowering. All the appetizers on the menu were Asian except focaccia and soup. Desserts were enjoyed. Cocktails were good.Funny to see menu highlights in google maps include tiramisu, scallops, and hangar steak, none of which were on offer during our visit.“

“Cool super small bar with good tacos and they even can accommodate gluten free celiacs like me. Cool vibe and very intimate because of the small dark space and couches. The tacos were ok. The beer selection was not numerous but still good The staff were nice.“

“I am so upset we didn't discover Mia's Cantina sooner! The food here is absolutely top notch. Even my picky as heck kid begs to go there (he's a fan of the steak tacos). For me, the Tacos Norteños are the winner, I've never had anything like it anywhere else. The flavor of the sauce, the fresh meat and toppings, absolutely stellar. Great beans and rice too. The service is always quick and friendly, the man who has taken care of us both times seamlessly runs the bar and waited on us as well. The wait is no long and the service is no-nonsense. Dave's Italian kitchen and D&D are also in the same area if you're looking for Pizza or a good breakfast sandwich - both are solid. “A friend and I met up at this spot after a quick Google search for something halfway. Great spot for a private hangout and fun atmosphere, beautiful views. Although we had reservations outside, it was colder than we anticipated and we were easily accomidated at the bar. We had a great time with Mae! Will return.“

The service was excellent though, it was completely dead and we were one of 2 tables and sat at the bar. Our server took care of us, put the game on, and was super friendly and attentive.“

“Yummy little spot in the Forester Hotel! I came here with some colleagues prior to an event for work and it ended up being the perfect spot for a quick bite. The hotel looks brand spankin new and is really pretty! The restaurant space is beautifully done too, and there looks to be a great patio space for when the weather's nice. Our server Betsey was very warm and welcoming. The menu had pretty light offerings, but since I was hungry I went with the Oaken burger. I really liked the burger and the brioche bun it was served on. Plus, the truffle fries were fantastic! Overall really pleased with my dining experience here, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal too!“

“The filete a la diabla is the dish I come here for. The sauce is flavorful and has a good kick to it. The rice, salad and garlic bread compliment the dish to help offset the spiciness (my tolerance for spicy food is low but I love the flavor of the sauce and so I deal with it). The staff and owner are friendly and tentative. I like going to a Mexican restaurant and hearing Mexican music while I'm there so that's a big plus.“

Maya K our server was great, always smiling! She recommended some of the dishes and she was on point with her service. The General Manager Julie stopped by our table which such a nice touch.
