“We hosted our baby shower at church street, and it was amazing. Everyone loved the atmosphere. We worked with Jace before, during, and after the event. The food was amazing, I did not receive a single complaint from my very picky family members, they all agreed it was amazing. The guest enjoyed the beer and we even did a growler with a beer of choice as one of diapers raffle gifts and it was the most popular one! I am so happy we hosted our event here, it went so smooth and hassle free. I will definitely be hosting events again here in the future!“

“Juiciest burger in Illinois! I've never been to Au Cheval, but several people have told me that paradise pups burger tops Cheval. The bun is tasty, patties are fresh, and the sauce is out of this world. Parking is a bit cramped and be prepared to wait but these burgers are WORTH IT!“

“Delicious food! Especially nice on a cold day. I appreciated that there was even a vegetarian item on the menu (a huge potato pancake with mushroom gravy), which was delicious. We also shared some sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese pierogies, which were also great. Also great was the mulled wine. They serve a lovely sourdough bread with an interesting spiced spread, but heads up to vegetarians -- the spread is bacon-based. But again, excellent bread. (As you can see, deliciousness was the theme.) The exterior of the restaurant is a little unassuming but the interior is like a cheerful cabin. Would definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Babcia's pancake, which is a potato pancake with mushroom gravy, served with 3 types of cold salad. There are also meatless pierogies: sauerkraut & mushroom and potato & cheese (ask to be served without bacon garnish). There are also some salads on the menu which are vegetarian. I don't believe any of these dishes are vegan, though at least one of the salads could probably be made vegan if the cheese was left off.“

“a mount prospect gem for sure! ice cream is generally all the same to me but this place is really special. the flavors are rich, creamy and delicious. i tried their choco taco and i'm in love now. you get the choice of toppings such as oreos, sprinkles, and can't remember the rest. it's super messy and the picture that i took of it in the box looks nothing special but it is a flavor bomb of deliciousness. the store is very small but plenty of outside seating. it seems to be run by very respectful and polite kids! definitely made for a special visit“

“When visiting a friend locally, they suggested we try the best ice cream around, and that sounded like a great challenge. There are many options for sitting outside in a park area, or on the balcony, or inside. When I opened the door and saw both the size of the menu and the many choices of ice cream I was overwhelmed. Staff is very friendly and offer help. I was able to taste 2 different kinds and look forward to next time I am in the area or have a strong craving for ice cream. The store was clean and nicely decorated.“

I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp sandwich with extra shrimp. Absolutely delicious. It was not spicy but well seasoned. “Unfortunately, the evening did not start off well. We were told that we had to wait for our reservation for atleast 10-15 min after our original time, even though we showed up early. Then after waiting, we were told another 15 min. Noticed that they seated other groups that were walk ins so I guess they were given priority. We had two young children who were starving so we decided to leave and just as we did, the manager came running after us and asked us to stay. They turned around a table and even through a pizza in the oven for the kids, no charge. The food was good, not great. Felt a little rushed as it was now kind of late for dinner and they were getting ready to close. Wouldn't mind giving them another try but will likely favor other restaurants over this one.“

“This place is truly a hidden gem. We were recommended to check this spot out by a local bartender, and we are so glad we did! The ambiance was really chill and non pretentious. Our mixologist, David, was super personable and well versed in his craft. He’s bringing experience from cocktail programs in the city to the burbs! It was a cute little spot that gave speakeasy vibes. We initially thought we were underdressed, but this place wasn’t booshie at all, and there was no judgement like some places. I brought a group of 10 (all industry people). We spent over 1k as a group for my friend’s 40th bday. I raved about this place only to feel unwelcome in the end. A young female bartender tells us we were too loud. Honestly, we obviously had a lot to drink, but nobody was being reckless. We were told people were complaining. From a business standpoint you made us feel unwelcome in an establishment where we spent money. Take the $60 2 top who complained over what we spent there tonight? At least pull one of us aside instead of making a grand announcement. Chad you’re a great and talented owner, but train your staff how to talk to people. Just tell us, dont make a scene.“

“The bar is inside the Rose Hotel. Very beautiful atmosphere, set up for any occasion, romantic, colleagues, friends... Jonny, the bar tender, was really awesome. Although I wasn't sitting at the bar, he made sure I was doing OK. They have great cocktails and a wide variety of other alcoholic drinks.( whiskey, beer, wine). The food looks amazing. I'll be back to try the menu. The bathroom is very beautiful and clean. They had live music on Saturday when I was there.“

It was so warm and sweet.Elly's Pancake House was for all ages, from kids, teenagers, young couples to 40s and elderly. This place is definitely being loved by everyone.I ordered Chicken and Bacon Waffle and my boyfriend ordered Skillet, as always, and he said Elly's Skillet is almost the Best Number 1 Skillet he've ever had. The Waffle was sooo great and their side salad was very huge. I mean, their waffle is really different than others - it's thick, crisp and delicious... Also it actually contains bacon in the waffle dough....Yum!We also had some pancakes on the side and it was good too.Only one minor thing that they can improve is their staffing. I think they need more servers, I didn't get a refill for my coffee during my entire meal. “Not the first time I’ve been to this restaurant, but first time for dinner as I usually join coworkers for lunch. Kind of a different experience as far as entrée sizes and prices. For lunch I feel it’s a moderately good deal but for dinner I was a little surprised at the portion size compared to the price, we did enjoy all of our dishes but having a hard time with the value. The charred cauliflower appetizer was tasty but small portion for over $12. The lasagna Bolognese made with a chicken sausage was equivalent of two large raviolis stacked on top of each other. For $20 I would expect a bigger portion. Overall a higher rating due to the ambience of the restaurant and service was good.“

“Great place to hang out. It wasn't too crowded when we got there ariund 5ish on a Friday evening, however, within two hours there were no tables available. The upstairs location was closed off. This brewery is like a house that was converted into a bar/brewery. A variety of beer types on tap to select from with limited food options. The bar tenders/employees are really attentive and courteous. Would definitely check this place out again on a Friday evening or weekend.“

My coworker and I went to go check out the restaurant and Cindy and a gentleman greeted us as we walked in. Even asked if we had just called. This to me is how you treat your customers. I had the largest fried Shrimp ever and they were amazing.We went for the fantastic Shindig 60's band, the top local band in the Chicago area. They were outstanding, as usual.The band stage was WAY too small but worked. It needs to be reconfigured to a larger size and the lighting needs to be adjusted because taking pictures didn't work.My suggestions :1. Remove the tv's since you're really not a good venue as a sports bar. Add more tables under the tv's.2. Expand the band area and include an area for dancing. Too many people were dancing around the tables.5 separate dining areas. Lots of seating.I rated 5stars because it was an exceptional situation with St. Patrick's Day, the staff was overwhelmed with the crowds but were amazing under the circumstances.03/16/24 was St. Paddy day celebration.We had a reservation 1 month in advance. Thank goodness. But we still waited 30 minutes for our table because the wait staff wouldn't get the previous people to leave our table.
