“Pretty decent Korean fried chicken in this area.Pickled Daikon Radish is a must with my meal the bbq/hotbbq wings had an amazing sauce on them! It is firey but soo good! Also ordered some Fried Shrimp and they were decent and the poop track had been removed. Friendly service I will say also which is important to me. We also topped everything off with a strawberry soju. Not my top Korean fried chicken place but definitely gets a pass!“

“The staff at Lula Cafe was incredibly accommodating to our almost 2-year-old toddler. After we met the owner, another server came over and even addressed our son by his first name! It was such a small but thoughtful touch. In addition, the owner knew we were traveling home the next day so she took the liberty to make our last dish a little smaller so we didn't have leftovers that would go to waste. I was just blown away by the attention to details and hospitality. As a huge bonus, the food and cocktails were incredible! Will definitely go back when we find ourselves in Chicago again.“

“This place is the coolest bar I have been to in a long time, hip and fun but not pretentious. They paid attention to every detail when building and designing. The white marbel bar has clean lines and looks fresh. All of the hardware finishes look sharp and clean. The patio is large and inviting with a fire place and plenty of tables to sit at. The drink menu is creative and refreshing and the staff is kind and welcoming. I cannot say enough good things about this gem of a bar. I am excited to hang out this fall on the patio by the fireplace with good drink in My hand.“

“Did a self guided pizza tour of Chicago last week. 12 spots in 3 days and Pequod’s lived up to the hype. Hands down the best pizza in Chicago. Thick fluffy crust, sweet but spicy sauce, plenty of cheese, and the pepperoni seemed to be hand cut for our pizza. If you like incredible pizza with the hole in the wall feel, this is the place. The spot on Clayborn is the perfect pizza spot. Sit at the bar, sit at a table, overall staff was awesome, and the Pizza is incredible!Thanks Pequod’s!“

“Penelope's Vegan Taqueria Andersonville hits the spot! Honestly, this is probably the best vegan Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. The portions are a nice size with many great menu options. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food and ambiance are great. The Chunky Quesa Taco (cheddar cheese quesadillas taco topped with asada, onion, cilantro, lettuce, tomato and green salsa) is a must try! Overall, if you visit, you will not regret it!“

“Small interior, but very nice outdoor patio space to eat at. Started with the chicken pot pie. Nice crispy crust and a great balance of peas, carrots, and chicken. Great flavors but the chicken was a little overcooked messing with the overall texture of the pie filling. The reason I came was to try a sweet pie and ended up getting the chocolate pud’n. The pudding and cocoa whipped cream had perfect consistencies with the pudding being slightly thicker. Dark chocolate curls on top being a nice touch and everything being encompassed by the crust which reminded me of brownie brittle. The slice was not overly sweet but gave me all the chocolate flavor I needed. Can’t wait to come back and try some of their other sweet pies as well the mushroom pot pie.“

“Love this new local coffee shop! I'm always on the lookout for a good independently owned coffee shop and this is at the top of my list. The iced coffee is amazing - the flavor has a slight sweetness to it which sets it apart from a lot of other brews I've had. The inside is small but has plenty of seating, so a great place to get studying/work done (plus free - reliable - wifi). The icing on the cake is that their mission is to support local shelter dogs - 50% of sales on their merchandise goes to Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. The dog-themed decor is also adorable. Highly recommend!!!“

The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. “New menu time again at our favorite Chicago restaurant. Appetizers we chose were the new Jumbo Buffalo Shrimp on top of their homemade coleslaw. Amazing. So lightly breaded, it was all shrimp, yet the flavor was soaked all the way in without needing all that breading. Loved it! We also loved the lobster topped deviled eggs. I had entree of New York strip salad, Jen had the tuna steak salad and we split the warm carrot cake with candied nuts on top for dessert. New menu but awesome as usual!“

Some of the beers you can find in stores, others are unique to the location.They do still do scheduled beer releases you may only be able to get on location.You can bring in food, but there's also a selection of pizza that is pretty good.Only gripe would be that it was a bit difficult to find, if you hug the road that goes against the tracks its very narrow and basically an alley. Part of the charm though, makes the place feel like it's hidden.“
