“I got the Nashville Hot Sandwich with fries, no Cole slaw as my first visit. Took a few minutes to come out, but glad to have cooked-to-order food. It came out around $6.50 I think and got liberal portions on both the sandwich and the fries. Absolutely worth the price. I took it home and got my own drink there, so that saved a bit. I would definitely recommend trying it out. They warn you the Nashville Hot is rather spicy. It made my nose run, but it didn't put me on the floor or anything. If you like spicy food, you'll probably love it. I liked it a lot but it's a bit spicy for me so probably will only get it on occasion when I feel specifically like spicy food.Very much look forward to going back and trying other things on the menu and supporting a local business that has good deals on good food.“
“Awesome experience, and hard to imagine how cheap everything was! An entire breakfast for 4 people for under $37, and we ate like kings. Would be nice to hire an additional server and have French vanilla cream for the coffee, but those are minor issues. If I ever find my way into Metropolis again, I’ll be sure to stop by.“
“After a long day of traveling we stopped at Super City Bar & Grill in Metropolis, Illinois for dinner. Great service, Pizza was thin crust and I rated it 5 stars, the burger was fresh, hand pattied with cheese served with crisp french fries. The service was friendly. Stop in you won't be disappointed.“
“The restaurant was understaffed, which resulted in slow service, delays, mistakes, etc. We were comped our onion petals appetizer (which was only half full to begin with). The cone is always full, so full we can hardly finish it, and it was only half full this time. We've never had a bad meal here, and the service has always been excellent. Today was an exception, and our server & the manager went out of their way to make things right. We shared the classic hamburger meal, and it was delicious!“
“It's been a bit since I've been here. I was glad to see that some menu changes have occurred, including bringing some old things back and adding a few new things. The food was great! I had an off day with my server. We never got a refill and waited more than 30-min after being finished eating for her to cash us out. I eventually had to go to the bar to do it.“
“Freight House is our favorite place that we ate at this week! My husband and I will definitely eat at this amazing restaurant everytime we drive through Paducah, Kentucky! It was such a cool place to chill out, relax and eat delicious food! What more could a person possibly ask for! Our waitress was great as well! Thank you!“
“We enjoyed eating here. I had the Three Pigs sandwich with pork loin, spiced bacon and ham, but the Apple chutney made the difference. The potato, broccoli and cheddar soup was like scalloped potatoes with broccoli and an excellent side item. Sweet waitresses took care of us. It didn't hurt that there were tons of great looking backed goods and casseroles to go.“
“We ate at this restaurant for lunch today after a track meet. Super cool atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and the food was really good. We had the pepperoni chips, toasted ravioli and tater tot special for appetizers. My husband had the build your own pizza. Really good and loaded with cheese. I had their BLT and another family member had the wings and cheeseburger. Everything was really good we will definitely be back. My husband loved their October fest beer. I can't recommend this place enough!“
“My favorite place to eat when I am in town. The staff are friendly and personable, they genuinely care and want to make your day brighter. The service is good, usually fast but sometimes slower if they are busy. My food is always hot and accurate. I highly recommend this place.“
“I have only good things to say about Flamingo Row! The decor is fun and bright, the servers are prompt and friendly, and everything I've eaten there has been great! I highly recommend the Caribbean Dip sandwich with potato salad. The nachos are wonderful as well, I recommend the beef nachos. Ribeye sandwich is good, the stuffed bread sandwiches are good. A waitress named "Crash" (she says that's her real name!) has been there for decades and is awesome! Love her!“
“We found Mel's Dinner after Kirchhoff's Bakery let us down, and we are so thankful they did! Mel's is a hidden breakfast gem that is crazy affordable and crazy delicious!! The hashbowns were perfectly salted, the biscuits were soft and fluffy; we best fried egg we had ever had, and coffee that hit just the right spot. Thank you, Mel's, for helping us start our trip back home in such an amazing way!!“
“I ate here with my mom midday a few weeks ago. Food was really good. Nice selection. Good seasoning. They had a standard “southern spread” with a lot of fried or heavy foods. Salad bar was nothing to write home about but you don’t go to a place like Big Ed’s for the salad. Banana pudding was good too. We’ll definitely go again.“
“Had a double burger, it seems like the patties are getting smaller. The burger tasted ok, it wasn't as good as I've had before at Culver's. The crinkle fries were fresh and good. The ketchup in the dispenser in the dining room tasted off, like it had gotten too hot or too old.“
“Found this cafe searching for a place to eat while in Paducah visiting the NQM and so glad I did! Staff werevery friendly, excellent service. And we had nothing but compliments for the food. The boiler room beef sliderswere perfectly cooked, delicious. There's a nice outdoor patio available or comfortable seating indoors too.Definitely will be back!“
“A throwback to the old time diner and drive-in. The dining room is decorated in Elvis and James Dean. The menu is large and varied. The food is classic American fare. The burgers are huge and are served in a guitar shaped basket. The staff is pleasant and accommodating.Parking: Plenty of spaces for drive-in dining and a large gravel lot behind the restaurant for dine-in guests.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is available. The atmosphere is family oriented.“
“Was born in Paducah but left when I was 8 years old. My Dad knew Happy because he used to go there as a young man . He took me when I was 12 or 13 and it was great, I'm 64 now. So great in fact that I must get back there and reaquaint my taste bud with the food. Grew up in Michigan and now live in Florida but I'll come back to Paducah for 3 things not necessarrily in this order. Visit relatives go to Happy's and go to Starns BBQ ( i think that's the name). It over near Bob noble park. We used to live on Rudy Avenue in Rollintown. Ahh good memories from long ago!“
“I visit Paducah about 2 or 3 times a year and this is my favorite salad in the world...Curtis Salad. It was 15 minutes until they closed...I called and ask and they said come on down..they set me up I had my salad and they were AMAZINGLY kind. Great service great food...House of Grace is a "no miss" place in ?️ “
“Have went there more than once following the hours they say they are open, like again yesterday , got there at 2:48 pm , counted on them for dinner to be open til 3 , like the sign says , ..they were closed.Food is excellent , it's just getting your hands on it.The hours for to buy for dinner are done so early to begin with , so should stay open the hours they say they will.Had drove from Vienna to there.May not ever go back , has happened before“
