“Great place to have a casual meal with friends or family. Not sure if you need a reservation but we made one for a Friday night just in case. Sat at a round table with cushy comfy chairs. You scan a QR code on the table, order what you want and keep your tab open. Our friends did the same on their own phone so at the end there was no awkward; how much do we each owe? situation. I wanted a beer flight but had no idea what to order so I waved down someone by the bar. I told him I usually like Blue moon, Stella, and coronas so he told me to order the "light flight" So I did and I loved all three choices. For my meal I had the Lobster Roll with a side of fries. My husband got the Chimichurri Arrenchera Sandwich and we split a large Mac and Cheese. My lobster Roll was packed with meat. So good and I was glad I got it. My hubby loved his sandwich as well. Neither of us were fans of the Mac and Cheese and I thought the seasoned fries could have been better. I will definitely come back to this hidden gem. I'm looking forward to sitting outside when the weather gets nicer.“
“Amazing fresh creative food, lovely atmosphere, kind and attentive staff. We had a lovely birthday dinner and the birthday surprises they provided (I won't spoil the surprise) were such a wonderful touch. I can't wait to come back again!“
“Eravamo in 4 a cena e siamo rimasti soddisfatti sia del cibo che del servizio . Il locale era pieno di gente ma la cameriera Maria ci ha serviti velocemente e in maniera simpatica e professionale. Le pizze che abbiamo mangiato sono state ottime. Ristorante consigliato.“
“Love that this place is dog friendly! My friend told me that it used to be a house but after it burned down they turned it into a bar. They have a heated indoor patio and outdoor patio in addition to the inside space. Our bartender was fabulous but I didn't catch her name. The drinks were all top-knotch, I wish they had food but they do allow you to bring in outdoor food. We ordered pizza and then a guy selling tamales came around. Overall a super fun night and can't wait to come back!“
“The food and staff were amazing! Such a friendly staff who were extremely welcoming and attentive. I have never ordered ‘seconds’ at a restaurant until today! The tostadas were out of this world and the shrimp taco was delicious. A must try!“
“Bang Bang has been a neighborhood favorite of mine for years! Tastes like it's made with love. The biscuits, the pies, the sides, you can't go wrong! I usually get a scratch biscuit with sweet, a side salad or side of candied bacon, and a slice of pie to go :) Delicious! Great patio space for the summer!“
“I LOVE SCOOTERS! best ice cream ever. i always get either shakes or just custard and i love how you can customize like i always get chocolate ice cream with oreos on it and you can do the same with shakes. this place is hard to compete with “
“We loved the vegan ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. My family has allergies to milk and reactions to gluten and we were safe with our choices. The service is polite, relaxed, and fast. If you have the chance, try the Godzilla sundae; the toasted marshmallows are genius!Dietary restrictions: All vegan! Gluten-free with caveatsKid-friendliness: It's fun, cute, ice cream treats!“
“A must go if you like Chicago deep dish pizza. They differentiate themselves from other deep dish places by having their pizza slightly charred. Make a reservation, or get there early as they get very busy. Pizza's are made fresh, so plan on waiting at least 45 minutes.“
“Eden, located in Chicago, provided a delightful dining experience for my first visit. Arriving late allowed us to secure a table swiftly. I indulged in a couple of dirty martinis to kickstart the evening, accompanied by the exquisite wagyu tartare, which left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. For the main course, I opted for the crab bucatini, savoring each delectable bite, while my companion thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful chicken dish. The service was exemplary, and the restaurant exuded cleanliness, with the added luxury of real hand towels in the bathrooms, a detail not often found. The ambiance, with its well-thought-out lighting and decor, further elevated the experience. Overall, Eden offered a memorable dining venture, leaving me eager to return for another culinary adventure.“
“I really really loved this brewery. It's the perfect spot for a bunch of nice drinks with friends or coworkers. They have an amazing selection of beers - My favourites were the Pickle Beer and the Azadi! While the pickle beer sounds funny, trust me it is very interesting. I also had a lovely stout. The general vibe is like most breweries, easy to chat with friends, nice music and good seating. Definitely going back here again.“
“I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who work there! Not only is the beer always excellent, but they are just wonderful neighbors - regularly throwing small festivals and other fun activities for the neighborhood.“
“I will do my best to properly articulate what a spectacular time we had at Pizzeria Munno! My wife and I had wanted to come here for a while and finally found a time on Valentine's Day.Our server and wait staff were so kind and personable and could not have asked more from them.We ordered an appetizer of Bufala and Prosciutto, which was light and delicious. For the main course, we couldn't pass on the pizzas and ordered (forgive me, I forget the names), but the pepperoni pizza with drizzled Italian honey and then the artichoke pizza. They both were both so different, but incredible in their own ways.Lastly, we ordered dessert, to which they had a special pistachio Bundt cake slice drizzled with olive oil.I would highly recommend this restaurant and am regretful it took us so long to patronize. I can't wait to return and eat more scrumptious food!“
“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“
“The flavours were exceptional, I tried a bunch of flavours while I was there and ended picking two of my favourite the goat cheese caramel and the non dairy strawberry (which was really yummy with the coconut milk in it)Dietary restrictions: They have non dairy optionsWheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible“
“By far one of my fave spots in Chicago. Every time I’m there they’re exploring something new and delicious but are consistently true to their flavors and culture. This Cuban Filipino fusion rings true to its inspirations and never disappoints. This was our first time getting the 5 course tasting meal and every dish was amazing. Great flavors, textures, and as a couple that doesn’t drink a lot we loved the N/A drink pairing. We were definitely full by the end.Alfredo was an incredible server/host and was very attentive to our needs and creating a special environment for us. Would highly recommend for a good date night or to celebrate a happy occasion.Very intimate setting!Dietary restrictions: Good with my shellfish allergy. The substitutes were still incredible. Mushroom for lobster.Parking: Easy street parking. Def can find a spot within a block. Maybe harder at peak peak times.“
“We had lunch today at Thattu. It was bustling with almost every table full, but the tables have ample space between them and it wasn’t too loud. The beautiful exposed brick and huge windows cast a warm glow on the modern dining room. They nailed Indian flavors without being heavy or greasy, and the fun fusion dishes we tried, like Indian-spiced tater tots with sulfur salt and beet ketchup are well executed and a lot of fun. It would be easy to eat healthy at Thattu, and I enjoyed the vegetarian combo with vegetable curry, rice, beans, and sauteed Brussels sprouts with coconut. We also tried the fried chicken with dill sauce, and the catfish.Guests order through an app at Thattu, and the cost is inclusive of service. They don’t accept tips. At lunch, you grab your own flatware, napkins, and water from a bar in the dining room. We didn’t mind this. One particularly nice touch was that when we arrived, there were no tables available, and we agreed to sit at the bar. The host said he would let us know if a table became available, since sometimes guests cancel very close to their reservation time. Lucky for us, about 10 minutes after we arrived, the host brought us to a table. It was kind of him to remember our preference and work on that for us. Googling the restaurant later, I realized that the handsome host was co-owner Vinod Kalathil. He’s clearly a wonderful business owner who knows how to make his customers happy.Thattu2601 W Fletcher StreetChicago’s Avondale neighborhood“
“Juiciest burger in Illinois! I've never been to Au Cheval, but several people have told me that paradise pups burger tops Cheval. The bun is tasty, patties are fresh, and the sauce is out of this world. Parking is a bit cramped and be prepared to wait but these burgers are WORTH IT!“
“Very good brunch spot. Small and cozy but they do take reservations, so we were able to get in with a large group with minimal wait. The food, especially the Spanish omelet was spot on. The potatoes that came with the dishes was excellent.“
“Absolutely divine craft cocktails made by some of the best bartenders in the city (Violet hour / Mother's Ruin alumni). Come in on a slow night, get to know the bartenders, let them take you on an experimental experience and you won't be disappointed. The vibe is both chill and elevated, creating an experience you won't forget; whether you're seated at the bar solo or in a plush couch with your favorite person.“
“Some of the best grilled seafood in the city and that's saying something. Top 2 in the city along with Dees" IMO. Very seasoned without being salty. My guess is garlic. Crabs are my go-to. The corn, potatoes, and turkey necks are all tasty too.“
“We had a 1:45 reservation to Paradise Park because I felt like it would be a cool spot to take my sister since it’s her first time in town. After sitting around for 10 minutes, our friend Niko, takes our drink order. After another 10 minutes, we finally received our drinks (from someone else) and had to ask him to take our food order. We waited as our food trickled in, with no more appearances from Niko. He never came to refill our water pitcher that we had finished or ask if we wanted more beverages after we finished our first ones. After all our food had arrived (by other staff), we were able to catch him and order another beverage. After plenty of waisted time and being completely ignored, we asked for the check and two to go boxes. We waited 15 minutes for him to bring the check. And knowing his behavior, I placed the card in immediately, but he had already walked away. Then we had the pleasure of watching him talk to the front staff for 10 minutes while we waited to literally just leave.Safe to say at this point, I was absolutely disgruntled by the poor quality “service.” So I was not feeling generous when it came time to tip. Which is wild because I have literally never tipped below 25%. But it was genuinely that bad. We paid and at this point were just waiting for boxes, which we expected to take forever by this point as well. But after 10 minutes, and watching the table next to us ask for boxes, and receive them immediately, we get his attention and remind him we are waiting for those boxes. To which he says that he would, but we “only tipped 9% and he doesn’t work for free.” And then storms off to the back. I go to the bar and ask for boxes, which I honestly should have just done the entire time because it would have made things go ten times faster. It was a frustrating experience, but Tony was very on top of things and handled the situation promptly, generously, and with a lot of care. It very much feels they are concerned with the customer experience and they handled the situation quite well. I do believe this is an isolated incident and not a reflection on the establishment. So for that reason, I will be back, and have chosen to still recommend paradise park as a very fun place to get good food and great drinks.“
“Good ass Italian ice. Fresh fruit. So natural. Love it. They give you free "flight" (four flavors in a container) for 10 stamps for every purchase. To all the lovers of syrup who dislike sugary Italian ice, do what you do cause you're not tasting real goodness. Best Italian ice.“
“The batter is unbelievable! It is fluffy and tasty. The chicken is perfectly done. I just couldn't believe the batter. I don't think I've had batter on chicken like that before. Also, they accommodated my request of not wanting thighs in my 4 piece (I am not a fan of chicken thighs ( thighs are too gamey for my taste). So I very much appreciate that. Since trying it the first time, I have gone almost every week now.“
“My friend and I had a delicious Sunday lunch here. This was my third visit, and my friend's first. She can't eat spicy-hot food, and ordered the Curry Plate with Chicken Traditional and Lamb Traditional, very mild. She loved it. We had an order of Samosas, which were the best I've ever had. With a very nice crust, not oily, and fully stuffed with garlicky mashed potatoes and peas. I ordered Cauli Madness, because I love cauliflower and spicy food. It's a side, but comes with rice, or paratha. I got the rice, so it's good as an entree, and it's a very large portion. We also ordered garlic naan which was fresh and hot, and delicious. And two excellent mint teas. We brought leftovers home and will definitely return. Sorry, I didn't take photos - next time. Go check it out for yourself!“
“Tonight, the Wife and I asked for a table of 4, saw multiple tables open. Host replied with "Looks like we're not going to have table free for the rest of the night." Our 2 friends walked in about 5 minutes after us for a table, Host proceeds to not automatically deny them and asks the servers. Servers apparently had a problem with having another table until another server came worked it out. Finally, Wife and I walk back in to join our friends and overhear 2 servers discussing with the host about not seating anyone after 9pm (they close at midnight btw) Great to know that you wanting to close early is more important than actually doing your jobs and making easy money (we only got drinks and 2 apps) Pathetic, will not come back. Sayonara!“
“I've driven past this place often for the last few years but never visited. I did for the first time a few days ago and have been back a few times! I love the vibe, the inside is gorgeous and cozy, and the patio is dog friendly. Adam, the co-owner and roaster, is a lovely human and easy to talk to and its obvious how much he cares about his craft. This is one of my new favorite spots on the entire north side! The baked goods were also tasty and I sampled my friend's rosemary lavender caramel Latte and it was so good! much more understated than the title might have you believe. A hidden gem of the Northside.“
“We love Malaysian food especially Peranakan! The portions are American hahaha but it's okay. The Char Kway Tiau, Nasi Lemak, Satay, Ayam Masak Merah etc., etc., etc. Just great food and the owner engages with patrons. Oh yes, Chili Crabs finger licking good“
“Yowza! These are some of the best sandwiches ever! Just popped in here for the 1st time and loved what we ordered. Delish and a real value. The sandwiches are bigger than a plate. They were terrific. The next time I need a food for an open house for my real estate business, I am going to buy it from here. www.SarahRothschild.com“
“Okay, apart from the incredible beers and the fact that the sun shines in most of the day, Spiteful Brewing has the best bathroom in Chicago. 10/10 immaculate, cleanliness top notch, nice marmalade smell and quick dispensing paper towel machine. Epic. Would crawl in a deep hole in this bathroom to emerge like a phoenix through the ashes“
“Not a place for cheap tacos but very tasty and high quality!Recommend the duck taco!We came early so no issue with getting served right away but it is a small space that looks like it could be packed.Definitely would give this place a try, but expect to pay for the quality!“
“If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with lots of options (and generous portions!), look no further! Upon arrival, you get chips and 2 types of salsas (Roja/red and verde/green). I ordered a fish taco and an Al pastor taco con rice and beans. So much I couldn’t even finish! My boyfriend ordered one of the many options of burritos and it was the biggest burrito I’ve seen! He loved it!!! The mole sauce on it was delicious. Oh, we also ordered taquitos as an appetizer which could be a meal in itself for one person haha! We loved the food so much, we ordered a half dozen tamales to go. Chicken and pork. Soooo delicious. 5 stars. Can’t wait to go back and try everything else! FYI - it’s byob in case you’re looking to have a cervesa or cocktail with your meal. You’ll want to bring that with you. Saves money so you can eat more!!!“
“Three things I very much liked about our dining experience at Frasca:1.) Kids eat free everyday from 4pm to 6pm.2.) High quality ingredients. We got the funghi wood oven pizza and chicken parm and they were both great. Reasonably priced for such high quality fare.3.) PISTACHIO GELATO! Do not sleep on it. Do not take this off the menu. I beg of you. It was just so elegant. The roasted pistachio matched well with the level of sweetness it has. Usually pistachio ice creams are chalky. Even the expensive ones. This one was silky. Gooey. It had a hint of white chocolate. I could be wrong but I enjoyed every bit of it. And will be coming back!“
“I recently visited Volo Wine Bar and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The ambiance of the patio was simply amazing, providing a perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine. The happy hour deals were fantastic, offering a wide selection of wines at great prices. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Volo Wine Bar for anyone looking for a cozy and inviting spot to unwind and enjoy quality wine. A definite 5-star experience!“

“The coolest bar in Rogers Park! They have a small but fun cocktail selection, great beer & cider selection, super super friendly staff and the best vibes. They have no food but you are allowed to bring any takeout you want or you can directly order to your table from any restaurant you want. Such chill vibes honestly. We were here as a huge group last week for our friends birthday party (about 40 of us) and our waiter has been a saint with taking sssoooo many orders and hand delivering them to the correct person, and with the most fun attitude too! It honestly doesn’t get better than this.“
“This was my first Indian restaurant experience and I was blown away! We ordered veg samosas, chicken lollipop, garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken 65 biryani, and another house biryani special. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I love that the restaurant is BYOB too. Will definitely be coming back!“
“We went to Farm Bar last night with another couple and it was so delicious I had to write a review. We started with the cheese curds and we all agreed that they are the best we have ever had. Then we had the salad that was on the Specials list. It was a smear of ricotta cheese with butter lettuce, peas, asparagus, watermelon radishes and a very light, tasty vinaigrette dressing. So fresh and flavorful. The owner came by our table and has a huge farm in Wisconsin so everything is so fresh and menu changes with seasons. My husband had the catfish. He is a southern boy and he loved it. Huge portion as well! Two of us had the cavatelli. Fresh pasta and layered with textures and flavors. And one of us had the burger. He said it was a great burger. Service was very friendly and we didn't feel rushed. Highly recommend Farm Bar!! Can't wait until the summer and the rooftop opens.“
“Get the strawberry Spring Matcha Latte! It’s seriously so good. You can find it on their Easter menu. I also really enjoyed their Chilaquiles but the Spring Matcha Latte is going to be my new everyday drink. The owners are so kind and I received my meal extremely fast. Lastly, their Easter decorations are the cutest ☺️“
“I rarely write reviews but after our meal from Cluckers, I felt I must. Our first time getting food from Cluckers/Wilmette and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The first impression was the very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely to deal with! Then the meal...no fast food flavors here, it tasted more like homemade! Every aspect of our dinner was delicious: chicken, cornbread muffins, slaw and Caesar salad. No doubt we will be back to try something else!“
“Sleeping Village is a wonderfully funky little music venue in Avondale. The acts tend to be a bit obscure, but you may catch a star in the making. They offer a fine selection of beers and ciders. This is not a restaurant, so I'm not sure why food review would apply.“
“The best chickens ever eaten in Chicago are here. A very kind and sincere person serves here. From today, if I want to eat halal kfc style chicken, I will definitely come here. Thanks for the sweet chickens. If you want to eat halal chicken, this is the right place. such sweet, tender and delicious chickens. Thank you very “
“Burger and wine by the Glass for $21! Burger and Old fashioned cocktail for $21. We went to Webster Wine bar because it made the top 15 Chicago burger list. We were not disappointed! On Wednesdays there is a special for the burger and any drink for $21. What a deal! Our burgers came out quick and were delicious. They used Slagel Farm’s beef, and SHARP cheddar cheese instead of American. I love cheddar over American cheese any day. First time to Logan square and it was charming with the wide boulevards. Wine bar looks over the park and is very sophisticated. The wine list was impressive. Classy little place! Great for date night.“
“I really like the establishment, the incredible atmosphere, and the friendly team, as well as the owner)! The food is simply wonderful, the burgers are top?? Lately, we like to order shawarma and fries for the child, we eat everything with pleasure! We will definitely order more and come to visit you)“
“I hosted a party here last month and everything about the experience was above and beyond. Isaac and the full team were so welcoming to our party which spanned in age from 9mos to 76. The other patrons were also so friendly and we had a great time. The oldest and youngest among us were able to enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate but leave before the bar got too crowded and the rest of the party carried on while the bar filled. Highly recommend for the drinks, staff, the crowd and the free juke box!“
“The ambiance is first class and I feel out of place to watch early morning soccer there but the staff is very friendly and the chairs are most comfortable. The on tap choices are very good and the food is delicious. Ample tv screens to accommodate your team of choice. I highly recommend this place.“
“Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! I feel super fortunate to have them just two blocks from my house. Make sure to give them a try!How cool this place is! They have the best coffee and desserts in all of Chicago, but the best thing is the people who work there. Many thanks to Naima, Toni and Alejandra. Always a pleasure to spend some time with you every weekend!“
“Beer spot with around 20 beers on draft. They don't sell food, only a few snacks but You can bring your own food, play some games or to go there for trivia. Very cosy place with a good selection of can beers ( around 200). Cool place to hang out with some friends on afternoon or evening . Highly recommend “
“Great little spot to pick up a bite, a coffee, and read/study/ or work for a bit. The food was delicious but a bit on the smaller side for my taste. Nothing to hold me back from visiting again. I definitely recommend if you are in the area. Check it out!“
“This is my go-to boba spot in Niles. It's situated in the same plaza as Hmart, which is very convenient to stop by before or after grocery shopping. Plenty of parking space. Their drinks are always on point, consistently good! Their fruit teas are one of the best. My favorite is the very mango drink with pomelo. It's so refreshing! Their service is fast even though they're always busy. Bright room with plenty of table and seating space. Highly recommend“
