Highly recommend the dry pot chicken as the spices and oils have that great numbing and continuing heat. “I don't know where my last positive review is but I'm back here and it's STILL just a good. I was here 8 months ago and got the same thing. Why get anything else when the was SOO good the first time. I just got the classic little wolf burger and fries. That burger has two patties, cheese, pickles and a mayo with pieces of onion chopped into it. I'm not big on pieces of mayo so I get it on the side. The fries come with a chilli pepper mayo and it's THE BEST. I dip my burger in it. It's not spicy as you would think. The fries are great too. Not that crispy which I love but I'm sure you can ask for them to be if you like. Might be the best burger I've had to date. Last time I got the Mac n cheese and I don't recall how that was.“

That said, I agree on the prices listed after trying the dishes offered. The short rib is delicious, as well as the chicken sandwich. The service did leave a little to be desired, I kind of felt like I was looking around for the individual waiting on the section I was seated in, but overall it has always been a pleasant experience. I would bring guests here maybe the second or third time they visited me in Chicago. Not a first draft pick to represent the city, but it’s a nice place to feel like you’re part of the scene here.“

Menu is full of unique dishes… elevated dumpling and noodles are a signature. Beautifully plated and generous- but not overly. Cocktail menu is fun, with zero proof options that are spot on. “Overall Thoughts: I went to Amaru for 2024 Restaurant Week, and it had lovely vibes, solid food, and friendly service all around. My friends and I got the cheaper $42 dinner option and felt the value was good— we were stuffed and satisfied afterwards. Out of all 3 courses, the dessert was definitely the weakest, but I really enjoyed the other two courses!- Course 1: Requeson (4.6/5): The soft cheese was delicious; it was creamy and slightly sweet, pairing nicely with the slightly spiced salsa.- Course 2: Mole Y Leon (4.5/5): This was my first time having lion’s mane mushroom, and it was great! The texture was stringy and chewy, and the seared flavors were strong. The yuca was crispy and tasty, and the mole was rich and earthy.- Course 3- Espresso Tres Leches (4/5): Definitely lacking relative to the other two dishes; the cake wasn’t moist enough in my opinion, and the flavor was kind of monotonous.—Price (relative to peers): 4.2/5Food: 4.4/5Ambience: 4.9/5Overall Value: 4.5/5“

The only two items that were less than ideal, the horrible acoustics (incredibly loud) and although it was too on my list to try, the chicken shawarma rolls were underwhelming. Even with those two items, the great service and food quality it's still worth the 5 star review. We sat upstairs, which very much appreciated, being out of the hustle and bustle of the downstairs. The trout was very good, but could have used a heartier veggie pairing like potatoes. Their Bad Romance cocktail was one of my favorites. I probably wouldn't return for a while since the majority of their menu is red meat and cheese (which I don't eat) but perhaps when their menu is updated seasonally, if they have a different seafood option. “We had lunch today at Thattu. It was bustling with almost every table full, but the tables have ample space between them and it wasn’t too loud. The beautiful exposed brick and huge windows cast a warm glow on the modern dining room. They nailed Indian flavors without being heavy or greasy, and the fun fusion dishes we tried, like Indian-spiced tater tots with sulfur salt and beet ketchup are well executed and a lot of fun. It would be easy to eat healthy at Thattu, and I enjoyed the vegetarian combo with vegetable curry, rice, beans, and sauteed Brussels sprouts with coconut. We also tried the fried chicken with dill sauce, and the catfish.Guests order through an app at Thattu, and the cost is inclusive of service. They don’t accept tips. At lunch, you grab your own flatware, napkins, and water from a bar in the dining room. We didn’t mind this. One particularly nice touch was that when we arrived, there were no tables available, and we agreed to sit at the bar. The host said he would let us know if a table became available, since sometimes guests cancel very close to their reservation time. Lucky for us, about 10 minutes after we arrived, the host brought us to a table. It was kind of him to remember our preference and work on that for us. Googling the restaurant later, I realized that the handsome host was co-owner Vinod Kalathil. Needless to say, service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our party of six shared the smoked trout dip, calamari, charred pepperoni pizza, white mushroom and truffle pizza, Italian cheesecake, and tiramisu. The smoked trout dip is a tad high on sodium but I really like how it was served with flaxseed crackers. The pizza are served Romana style, therefore rectangular and fluffy. They even let me bring a cake and hire a caricature artist to come! We played bingo, had delicious cocktails, and admired the decor and items for sale (I now own a rainbow pin striped shirt!). I would HIGHLY highly recommend this place for a birthday, an event, or just to swing by for drinks! My highlight of the night Mark and Jana who smiled the whole night, made us delicious cocktails, and made our group feel at home. Loved their drink recommendations, too. Thank you, Consignment Lounge! Will continue singing your praises to everyone I know and can’t wait to come back.“

“My husband and I were in Chicago for a convention a couple of weeks ago. While I was getting ready for the day he was watching the news and says to me "we need to try this place". As y'all know from my other reviews he is a pizza perfectionist :) On the morning spotlight segment was this place called Whiskey Girl Tavern and they were talking how they are known for their hot honey pepperoni pizza and chicken tenders (which sell out).We didn't get to go to it that day and the next day we kept debating between that one and Robert's pizza which had been recommended. Well he couldn't get the image of their pizza out of his mind, so we hopped in a Uber and took the 25min ride to check it out.We sat at the best seat in the house ... the corner bar where we had the pleasure of meeting and talking to the best bar manager, Phil!! I ordered the Spill That Spicy T Margarita made with their homemade pineapple, jalapeño mix. It was the perfect balance.. of heat, sweetness (I don't do sweet) perfect touch of smoke from the mezcal and finished with a tahini rim ... omg I can't stop thinking about it!!!! To start we ordered the fried pickles which were the perfect size and lightly breaded .. delicious .Now the main event .. the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza. Let's talk about the crust which in our opinion will make or break a pizza. We love thin crust with a nice char , not burnt which is a fine line. We needed to be in that small 2 person kitchen at the end of the bar to see how on God's green earth they have perfected this pizza crust!! And who doesn't love cupped pepperonis? I personally feel these should be on every pepperoni pizza instead of those big greasy ones. I just can't say enough about how delicious this was!!!While talking to Phil my husband tells him how we heard about it and that we took the drive to check them out. Phil tells us we have to meet and tell the owners. We met Heather and Christina who were beyond thrilled and sweet to have us there. It's a small world bcs while talking with them we find out that during Covid they didn't want to be locked down in the cold and bought a place 30/40 minutes from us !! They opened the tavern about 2 years ago and just recently purchased the old pool hall next door. They showed us around and it was so cool with an old school vibe with some brown leather couches, pool table and a nice size bar that had just opened that day.If have read this far , THANK YOU! And when in Chicago please go check them out you will not be disappointed I promise!!I am sooo glad and sad that we found this place and believe everything happens for a reason. Glad bcs it was (no joke) the best pizza I have had in a long time and sad bcs I can't stop thinking about it now that I am back home in Tampa!! lolUntil next time“

“Amazing! The food, drinks and happy hour prices are a 10/10. The decor, music and wall art gave the place overall great vibes. My boyfriend and I spent a couple of hours here just drinking and eating, it was great. The only thing I would add is, the place was busy when we got there, so service was slow. I think our waitress was taking care of the whole place. I understand completely so will not be deducting a star. Overall amazing experience, will be returning!“

“We went back to Citrine for pre-concert eats on our way to Chicago. This is a Mediterranean-type restaurant. Cocktails are good, food is good. Service is impeccable. Our server this visit was Theo, and he was attentive and friendly. The other staff from the young woman who sat us to the guys who delivered food and cleared the table were attentive and always gave us a smile. My husband and I started out with a glass of wine and a cocktail. We decided once again to share small plates together. We had the New York strip steak tartare. It's absolutely fabulous so we had to have it again. Fresh steak with a raw egg on top that oozes into the steak as you break it, it's perfection. We also got the homemade lepinja bread served warm with a couple spreads. I can't eat nuts or seeds and it came out covered with sesame seeds. No problem, Theo was more than happy to take it back and have bread made just for me without seeds. That's great service. We then shared the roasted beet salad which had arugula, goat cheese, avocado, and orange. It was a very small salad for the price of $14. Having said that, the salad was fresh and I liked the different textures, but it was the size of a small side salad and not worth the price. I would pass on this my next visit. The final dish we shared was the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were large and grilled perfectly, the grits were creamy. This dish was packed with flavor and some heat. Delicious. Citrine accepts reservations and parking is paid street parking. I definitely recommend this restaurant and you must try the steak tartare. So damn delicious!“

“I never believed my life will change in such a manner. I saw a review on Facebook about Mrs Craig Vanessa trading skills and before then I have never risk money doing anything online with anybody because I think I was so wise and never want to be cheated but when I contacted Mrs. Craig Vanessa, she explained everything to me concerning trading and the profit I can make within a week I was convinced to give a trial and risked to invest $1,000 and I made a withdrawal profit of $9,000 within a week. I am so happy that I trusted her and she didn't fail me. You can reach her through WhatsApp via her Facebook: Mrs Craig Vanessa“
