“On August 16, 2024 my dear friend Eberta Wright celebrated her 103 birthday. We celebrated it at The Lazy Dog Restaurant in the Highlands were we used to go for lunch every Sunday after church. Our waiter was always Carlos. One Sunday he told me to let him know when she was to celebrate her next birthday because he wanted to do something special for her. I called him and told him it was here so he talked to his manager and WOW!!!!! Kyla, Alexa, Andrea and Carlos put together a spectacular birthday celebration. Mrs. Wright and I both were so surprised and delighted with what they did. The decorations, the gorgeous flowers the cupcakes that Kyla made and decorated to spell out her birth year. Everything was just wonderful. Carlos came in on his day off and got to have lunch with us. He is a very special young man. In fact everyone there is very special. The Lazy Dog will always be my number one restaurant not just because of the good food but because they are a group of very special people.”

“Our server Brianna was wonderful. Her drink and food recommendations were perfect. The food was wonderful as usual first time eating their ribs and they were fabulous! Dumlings and crispy squid appetizers were great! I order the sweet corn every visit. Can't go wrong there. We had the broccolini, great smoked flavor and fingerling potatoes seasoned well. Husbands ordered teriyaki chicken and sea bass which they enjoyed while the other wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the glazed pork ribs which instantly became my favorite and the other wife devoured hers also. The dessert platter was so big there was no way we were going to get it but it was so tasty the only thing standing weee a couple slices of fruit and their cocktails are a delight to consume.😂 We will return for the service provided and the wonderful food and drinks. Thank you to all involved.”

Juan’s service and menu knowledge was exceptional. We tried the tapas and salads.

The caramelized onions taste like candy. I’ve never had anything like them. The roasted apples were surprisingly delicious.

Don’t forget to ask for the dessert menu when you finish eating.

The place has beautiful Mexican decor. The energy is relaxed.

“The largest of the BlackBerry Market installations and the one I gravitate towards the most; while both the Glen Ellyn and LaGrange locations are charming, the Oak Brook building is more impressive, with higher ceilings, a gorgeous amount of light due to the ample windows, and a great mix of different seating options. I’ve been to BlackBerry market to simply grab a quick bite after running errands in the area, but I’ve also come here with a larger group of friends for relaxed brunch. No matter the occasion, I’ve never been disappointed with the food! It hits every time— my special shoutout goes to the Italian Wedding Soup, as well as the Chicken Avocado Club! I always gravitate towards those dishes and they never let me down.”

“I am giving them a 1 star rating for many reason. I went here for the first time last night to celebrate my 11 year anniversary. We called 2 weeks prior to set up reservations. We got to the restaurant 20 mins before our time. Got in 10 mins after our reservation time and got a table literally right in front of the kitchen. I can’t tell u how many time my chair got hit by people walking by people who worked their people just walking. At one point I kept trying to flag down any waiter so we could get our check and go. For how much I spent I was expecting something completely different and not so cluttered they have way to many tables to close together there is no walking room. If u have a wheelchair forget about coming to this restaurant. The food was decent for the price I paid although I didn’t want to complain cause it took 40 mins just to get our food in the first place. My steak was over cooked. U would think it with it being a steak house they know how to cook it”

“Starting off it was pretty good and pretty cool for my first experience going to a rotary or conveyor sushi and I would come here every so often because it's kinda expensive compared to all you can eat but the last couple times I've been here it's been a little lacking in quality in my recent visit the sushi was a little chilled and ice cold when I ate it along with my spicy mayo now it wasn't frozen or icey but it was the temperature of it coming out of the fridge which I wasn't really a fan of. The roll quality has also gotten a little worse because some of the rolls I got just fell apart especially the one hand roll I got. However I am not saying this is a bad place the fish is super fresh the staff is very kind and always there when you need them and the atmosphere is great for a family night out or for a cool dinner experience I will definitely be returning to Kura revolving sushi i definitely recommend it to every one it a great place.”

“If you are looking for an Indian restaurant that is good and affordable this is a place to try. My partner and I got the variety tray which includes rice, salad, chana masala, naan, chicken, and lamb. We had the chicken in korma curry which was so flavorful. The naan bread was so flaky and light. The food was fresh and tasty. If you want dessert, I recommended the mango lassi and the galub jamun. They are like sweet donuts in fresh and airy whipped cream. Overall all the food was great. Would come back.”

“I am in sheer awe of how amazing this order was! The quality of the chicken sandwich has practically revamped my rating scale for food moving forward. On my previous 1-10 scale, this legitimately would have been a 15. The fried boneless thigh was juicy and tender beyond compare, with a spice and flavor profile that blew me away. The Cole slaw was crispy, flavorful, and inventive; a perfect accompaniment. The pickles are astounding (I don’t know but I feel like they are made in-house). I swapped the sauce for the hot honey ranch and it was delectable and scrumptious.

By far the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had.

The fried corn bread was equally astounding, crispy little perfect pillows that explode with a homey feeling that echoes through the meal.

I would like to personally thank the staff of this excellent establishment, and I will ABSOLUTELY be in for a dine in as soon as I’m able. Each and every one of you has made my whole week. Thank you from the bottom of my heart”

“This hotel is perfectly located roughly equidistant between O’Hare and Wrigley. Depending on the time and day, you can get a very reasonably-priced Uber ride to either location. It is also within walking distance of several great restaurants. Le Meridian is clean and modern, and in a very safe area. Our room on the second floor was also very clean and modern. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downsides: no free coffee in the morning, a bit noisy at night, and the mattress is so comfortable, it makes me realize how uncomfortable my mattress is at home!”

“It was an excellent choice for a lunch, even in an Saturday. We arrived 11:30 and it wasn't crowded. They have a regular menu plus a special menu that changes every 2 months. Today was the last day of the current specials. I had ind if the best, freshest salads with fruit and nuts with a special dressing that was light and complemented the salad. My niece had the Avocado tacos that looked really good and she said were delicious. Definitely a good place to have a leisurely lunch with friends and or family especially if you want to carry on a conversation. The restaurant has recently been remodeled and is very comfortable and with a modern low keyed atmosphere. Will definitely go back and will recommend to my friends.”
