“Super chill place to eat and the food was great!!! Had been cruising for a place to eat and happened to stumble on this gem! There is a sit-down bar, tables, and booths. The server was beyond chill and super helpful. Asked for suggestions, and he gave us great suggestions. We got the Cesar's salad, wings, pop corn chicken, and a 10' Chicago style pizza!!! The food was prepared perfectly. The salad was delish, the popcorn chicken was awesome, and the pizza was a homerun! My new spot when I come to Chi Town!!!! It's what a small restaurant is supposed to be!!!“
“We loved our experience at Giant! We’ve been wanting to eat here for a while and thought what better time than to go out for my birthday. My wife and I can’t say enough great things about the food, our server Bailey and the whole experience. Bailey was the best server ever! We love her and will definitely be back.“
“Nice cozy atmosphere with great service. The wine selection is HUGE and there's something for everyone's liking. Wait time was long for a Friday night but it was totally worth the experience. Waitstaff is excellent - friendly, and professional. The fried almonds were so good and can be a great pairing for the wine.“
“The food was delicious, my husband loved the burritos and the slaw. Also, I don't know the name of the person who served us today. But there were quite a few people and he was alone, with one person in the kitchen, he still kindly served us all, thank you very much for that.“
“Bartender was very professional and kind. Seating very comfortable. There’s a good din in here, comfortable noise level where seats will be filled but you can hear conversations around your table clear as a bell. Very clean. Cozy. Great canned seltzer.“
“Super fun joint. A lot of good vibes and reasons to hang around. The food, overall, was tasty, but the pizza left some to be desired. You can tell they put great care and detail into every decision. The pizza just didn't do it for me. Could've been the bold claim of "best cheese pizza in Chicago." I appreciate the bravado, but unfortunately, it came with little fanfare.“
“Sleeping Village is a wonderfully funky little music venue in Avondale. The acts tend to be a bit obscure, but you may catch a star in the making. They offer a fine selection of beers and ciders. This is not a restaurant, so I'm not sure why food review would apply.“
“Amazing! The food, drinks and happy hour prices are a 10/10. The decor, music and wall art gave the place overall great vibes. My boyfriend and I spent a couple of hours here just drinking and eating, it was great. The only thing I would add is, the place was busy when we got there, so service was slow. I think our waitress was taking care of the whole place. I understand completely so will not be deducting a star. Overall amazing experience, will be returning!“
“I already love Spilt Milk for their moody atmosphere, unique cocktails, and knowledgeable bartenders so I was pleased to be able to have them as a venue for my 30th birthday party. Anthony the owner and Charles of Umamicue were professional and communicative throughout the planning process, and during the event the entire staff were fun, interactive, and incredibly attentive and helpful. They helped make an unforgettable birthday for myself and my guests. Would highly recommend reaching out to them for your next event :)“
“Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Been going here ever since their first day but not as frequently as imagined. They definitely have some unique beers as well as fun events throughout the years, one notably was an outdoor hip hop concert with Twista, Big Boi and Sleepy Brown, which was 1yr post-COVID. Recently went for their whopping 10 year anniversary (Fri 12/15/23) and the beers were absolutely and generously flowing. They opened up the back for a nice 80s cover band concert and also had pop up food and wine vendors. Videos here of that night. Whether for an event or not, this brewery is worth coming back to again and again.“
“The chicken sandwich is a favorite!! Mary is a great cook. Don't sleep on the food here. If Mary's cooking - get it! Also, she does some great game day specials - nachos, etc. Good snacks. Good beefs, good sausages, and the best chicken mozzarella bacon sandwich on a hoagie.“
“This place is within walking distance from my house, so I decided to check it out tonight. The menu is small but the food was good and it was quite busy when we left. I took my daughter, who is 16. It was fine for her, but I wouldn't recommend taking a younger child there.“
“My boyfriend and I went to Tannins for his birthday and ordered a flight of wine. It was awesome, the bartender was really nice and super great about suggesting menu items to try. We tried one of the cheese plates and loved it! We will definitely be back :).“
“Service is excellent and will return they have live music on a Thursday, pizza was delicious.Vegetarian options: Veggies pizza and saladsParking: IT’s hugeKid-friendliness: Kids menu availableWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of handicap parking and entrance and space inside was great“
“I did not have a neighborhood bar before The Double, and I have not had one since. Henry is the man--lots of fun and good at making sure newbies and regular customers are taken care of. One of my all-time favorite memories at The Double was watching the Blackhawks win the Cup in 2013. More typically, my brother, friends and I would drink good beer and enjoy the atmosphere and head-nodding music.“
“I definitely like the concept of this place. Different breweries and you get to choose the size of the beers. It's kinda like a little beer grocery store since they have sooooo many beers to buy and even order ahead. They have games and even Mario! They have outdoor seating just wish they had more space inside .. nice staff“
“Me and my friends were looking for a last min place! When I tell you we found a freaking gem! Gabby was amazing she sent us shots called chocolate cake!!!!! She literally told us it would be a science experience in our mouth … when I tell you it didn’t disappoint at all!!! We will be back everytime …. A gem I tell you :) thank you for welcoming us with open arms and taking care of me and my friends… forever customers on this Thursdays night“
“God, I love me some dive bars, more so when they're located in centralized locations i.e. on a major street, sandwiched between two train stops. The Harding Tavern is so much more than your average dive bar, though. With dine-in seating, you have premium beer/cocktail options on top of meals fit for any type of day. Their tap options are stacked, in my opinion. They have a rotating 'pint of the month' that highlights an alluring $5 price tag. Special mention, these guys have Goose Island Bourbon County stout on tap, which, to me, is incredible. I'm never in the market to buy a full bottle of one of these drinks, so a 10 oz pour is just right. The tavern itself is pretty compact, with the bar area located in the middle of everything, so it's pretty easy to get a tender's attention. Service is always prompt no matter the time of day. Brunch deals are available with their complimentary mimosas with a brunch entree purchased and a $38 package deal that includes a bottle of bubbly + OJ. I think the THT is a solid option to grab a drink in Logan Square. Great to bring some friends, to bring a first date, or to just grab a drink and watch a sports ball game alone. No judgment! Its accessibility alone to the NW side of the city is reason enough to check this bar out.“
“I LOVE WESTONS! They have a wide variety of lovely flavor combinations and drink options, as well as a good selection of sandwiches and treats to pair with them. The staff are very kind and attentive as well. I haven't tried anything from here that I didn't like, but by far my favorite has been the strawberry mocha latte! I can't wait to order again :)“
“This is for our event at the Moretti's Events room: Hailey (event coordinator) communicated so well throughout planning the event for my husbands graduation/birthday party. The day of the event, she was so helpful when it came to making sure I had everything I needed to set up. The bartender (so sorry, I forgot her name) was very sweet and ready to lend a helping hand during the entire party. The food was delicious. Our family and friends kept complimenting how beautiful the event room is. I would highly recommend this event room!“
“In the age of “trendy dive bars”, Social Junkie still holds on to the old school of a bar:Good drinks, good food, good music and some bar games. Everything is very well priced, in fact it might even be cheap by city prices.Staff are friendly and engaging.Parking: Parking right outside the venue. No charge.Wheelchair accessibility: Venue offers wheelchair access throughout.“
“I have been wanting to go to a pancake breakfast for quite some time, pre-pandemic. Don't ask me why; I'm weird, I guess? Anyway, this weekend I headed to this AL post in Arlington Heights because I saw they were having one. There were lots of folks there--it's popular! For $10 ($5 for kids & veterans) there's eggs, hash browns, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and fruit. Water, orange juice, and coffee as well. I think it's advertised as all you can eat and they did have quite a lot of food when I got there around 11:10. It was very good, folks were friendly, and I'd go again. There's a good deal of parking along the surrounding streets so that wasn't a problem. They host this breakfast once monthly from 9 am - noon, so I may be back soon.“
“The place itself first of all is amazing.I had the Natural burger(medium rare) a few times and it's great, but my favorite is the steak sandwich it's ridiculously good also medium rare and I love the fries. You have to check out Big League Burgers you will not be disappointed.“
“I must have driven past this place 1000 times and never really noticed it for some reason; I guess from the outside, it almost looks like some type of small furniture store. Was looking for a quick place to grab lunch and happened to notice it was open so I went in. Pretty quiet Friday late lunch service, with just a few occupied tables. The service was good and fast. I got the beef tenderloin melt sandwich and my boyfriend got a burger. I thought everything was top notch, especially my sandwich. The sourdough bread was incredibly crispy, the sandwich was melty and the beef had a great flavor. The french fries were excellent as well. Will be back!“
“I stopped in here today with a few friends and had a great time! The drinks were delicious! I had a mezcal, which is mezcal and hibiscus. The vibe is like retro, earthy, mescal/tequila bar, with a DJ corner. It's also open until 3am on weekends. ONLY FLAW: the bouncer told us we had to leave because we needed a reservation TWICE and made us leave and then as we were out the door told us he was joking....“
“Nice to see the pizza assembled right in front of you! Good selection and you can pick your own topping combo. They skimp on the fresh basil leaves, but I usually tell them to double it!! They also have salads and delicious gelato. Their wings are decent, but I wouldn't come here just for them. The owner is very friendly.“
“First time there I was recommended by one of my nephews pizza was great the food was excellent I recommend you to go there and stop by at ???Dietary restrictions: It's a nice place clean place friendly employees food great ??????by Eddy Shine ??“
“We recently stopped by Tony D’s on a Saturday night because we saw they were having a band. Not much else to go on, we ventured into the wild on a path of discovery. When we arrived, there was no parking and we parked a block away. Now. I have to say that I have been to Tony D’s a couple of times before. I’ve always had a good time. That night was no different. Let’s walk through this.We arrived and all the tables were full EXCEPT ONE! Like it was meant to be. Immediately after arriving the wait staff came over to greet us. Our waitress was sweet and had a pep in her step.We soon realized that Yankee Cowboy was the band that was playing. Nice! Not the best, but they are very entertaining. So that was a plus.We ordered some wings with 2 sauces and the brisket nachos. The wings were meaty and well prepared. Their sauces spicy, but not ridiculously hot or obnoxiously gimmicky. The nachos were good, had a decent portion of brisket. I do wish they had more BBQ sauce, good for bar food, but not amazing.Anyway, the evening went well. Yankee Cowboy did their thing and the whole crowd was into it.Security kept the overzealous partiers in line and asked 2 to leave, so I felt very safe.I kinda struggled with this review because I always have a good time there. Problem is I always feel like something is missing. Anyway, I will continue to watch local bands at Tony D’s and hope that I find what I’m looking for so I can push my rating to a 5.Thank you Tony D’s for a good time!“
“Great food, drinks and patio. This space has a great patio for day drinking and watching college football (although I wouldn’t consider it a sports bar). Solid beer and cocktail menu all at a fair price. Smash burgers are great and tacos hit the spot. My dog and toddler love hanging out the patio and the servers are super accommodating to my wild toddler.“
“Fantastic experience. All of the staff were super friendly. Bartender (I think her name was Courtney) was the shit. Professional but fun/spunky. She was like BAM here's your drink then BOOM here's all your refills (I'm a thirsty bitch), ZING here's your food. Anyplace with sweet potato fries is gonna be a place I go back to. TRIVIA ON TUESDAYS!!! definitely coming back for that.“
“The puzzle bites were awesome. The chicken strips were awesome. But chicken wings number 5 out of tact.Sorry, but I'm spoiled with the best wings in Milwaukee.Wisconsin spitfires on stateI was recommended by some of my patrons at Spitfire's On State That are Chicago Cubs fans that come up to see the games. So today is monday So today was a perfect opportunity to see Monday, night raw just down the road and come visit. Thank you. Everything else was awesome. We'll come back again.“
“What a fantastic experience! First time at Canta Napoli tonight, and my kids are already asking when we can go back. Amazing food, attentive and friendly staff, AND the kids got to make their own pizzas. It was a BLAST. Definitely will be back soon!“
“Visited Morettis on my way home from work today. Was super surprised by the Wednesday Happy Hour specials. My bartender, Erica was AWESOME and she made me a specialty Pistachio Martini…….it was AMAZING and tasted just like a pistachio! She was friendly, attentive, and an overall amazing bartender! 10/10 “
“Beer On The Wall is a true beer lover's paradise, boasting an extensive selection of beer varieties that left me in awe. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the sheer diversity of options available. What particularly thrilled me was their remarkable collection of sours, especially the smoothie sours. It's a rarity to find such a wide range of sour beers, and Beer On The Wall exceeded my expectations in this regard. What sets this place apart is not only the diversity of beer but also the emphasis on local breweries. Their dedication to featuring local craft breweries adds an authentic and community-driven touch to the experience. It's a fantastic opportunity to explore and support the talent of the region while enjoying some of the best sours, including my personal favorite, smoothie sours.Whether you're a beer connoisseur or just looking to expand your palate, Beer On The Wall is the place to be. Their extensive selection and focus on local breweries make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a unique and flavorful beer experience.“
