“Awesome place, modern, cozy. Our 2 and 4 kids loooove to eat pasta and dine in. not just thay make pasta from scratch bit they are using organic chicken for our favorite pasta. pasta is usually done in 5/6 minute and portions are big. If you like Europian flavor for both interior and food this is right place for you!“
“Good spot... walking in.. it's really busy with a small bar and many tables surrounding/ exposed brick walls. Nice wine list with some good Italian bottles. Good menu with half a dozen apps, homemade pasta dishes & entrees! They also had an excellent *Specials Menu* she said. Started with a couple of glasses of Barbera and some baked clams with the bread of course. Great wine & clams were on the smaller side with an excellent sauce! They are known for their homemade pasta and I decided to try the special. This was a Jalapeño Gnocchi in a Vodka Cream sauce with Corn, etc... it was excellent, cooked perfectly! For dessert we had the Molten Chocolate Cake which was also very good & great ice cream. Waitress was very good & prices are a bit above average but worth it/ you can taste the quality ingredients for sure! Close it out with some Limoncello Shots// talk later“
“We showed up and it was almost closing time one night after visiting family in the hospital. The entire staff was gracious and friendly and let us in for a quick supper while they cleaned up.Prices were great. The place was clean and the the staff diligent in their cleaning. They served our order quickly. My Italian Beef was the real deal. Nicely seasoned, on good fresh bread. Her rigatoni with marinara was very good too.Four stars for their food, plus one extra star for the late night hospitality.“
“So the restaurant is beautiful, I love it!. Our server, Alex, was just so very extra awesome. One of the best servers and a real people person, wonderful !!The grigliati misti, grilled squid and octopus appetizer, out of this world delicious! The special pizza, burrata, soppressata with honey, DELICIOSO! but secretly I wanted a bit more soppressata. The only thing that wasn't that awesome were the baked clams. No matter..won't get them again..and I will be going again.“
“Five friends enjoyed an early dinner which we all totally enjoyed. The food is excellent, atmosphere is lovely and comfortable. The staff is attentive but not pushy. It was our first experience but all of us want to come back to try more menu options.“
“My boyfriend and I came in for a last minute dinner without a reservation and the hostess was able to seat us on the patio which we appreciated. We ordered the cacio e pepe and the focaccia, and they were both delicious! The cacio e Pepe was a little smaller than what you would receive at other restaurants, but it was just enough for one person, but I would keep that in mind if looking to share dishes.“
“My husband and I came here for lunch and enjoyed the excellent service and food. The focaccia bread and olive oil with garlic and hummus was to die for and we were getting full before our meal came. We ordered mussels, salad, pasta and seafood risotto. Of course we had to take half of entrees home since we enjoyed the focaccia bread! I have been here before with my friends and ate outside on a Monday night over the summer and also had an excellent meal. We will definitely come back.“
“My first time in Illinois, and we came across Francesca's randomly. The hospitality and food are both excellent! Kenny was a great server and all others who served us! My mom LOVING the Linguine and Clams is an understatement. She's obsessed! Unfortunately, I'm headed back to California now. Thanks for a great experience! Til next time!“
“We absolutely loved this place! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The owner took the time to explain the region in Italy that inspired the menu and wines. His wine recommendations were amazing. The food was the best we had in our trip to Chicago and the surrounding areas. We will definitely visit again.“
“We rented out the banquet room for a family party and between the food and service, the experience was exceptional. Everyone raved about the food options and the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend Francesca's for any event you might have.“
“Sunday lunch was a wonderful experience for several reasons. The restaurant was open according to their posted store hours. A few years ago, this would have been a silly compliment. But these days, we have had several encounters in which we would arrive at an eatery and notice the doors are still locked even though it's past their usual store open hours. Needless to say, service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our party of six shared the smoked trout dip, calamari, charred pepperoni pizza, white mushroom and truffle pizza, Italian cheesecake, and tiramisu. The smoked trout dip is a tad high on sodium but I really like how it was served with flaxseed crackers. The pizza are served Romana style, therefore rectangular and fluffy. The crust is thin but with a crunch. Even better, they are half-price on Sundays!“
“If you want true Italian cooking and a friendly atmosphere, then Mangia Napoli is the place. I cannot express enough how great the food is! Thank you to Fonz, Eddie & Vinnie for the excellence in food. Fonz the Zuppa you prepared for our anniversary was beyond excellent! Many thanks“
“Place is BOSS, no CAP! Lol, it's really good. Great daily soup selection. Sicilian soup is my go to, however, when they have the Polish and potato soup on special, my goodness!!! Must try, they are legit.Parking: Lot in front, lot in back, street on side and an adjacent lot to front.Kid-friendliness: It's Italian, it's all family!Wheelchair accessibility: I see ramps and ada, sorry don't know much more about wheelchair woes. Love you though!“
“Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to. A beautiful place with a great vibe. They have a bar in the main dining area which is great if you're looking to hangout after dinner. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and fun! Every dish we had was SPECTACULAR!!!. We ordered about 8 dishes and every single one was delicous. You can tell they use high quality products/ingredients. Lastly, the price we paid for this 10 STAR experience was too low in my opinion. I would easily pay triple the amount for this place. We'll be going back very soon. Maybe this weekend! ;) 10 STARS for Bar Salotto!!!“
“Exceptional Dining Experience Thanks to Outstanding ServiceI recently had the pleasure of dining here and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly by Kim M.From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly by Kim M. and made to feel welcomed. Kim M. went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Her attentiveness and genuine care for our needs were truly remarkable. Moreover, the food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was prepared with precision and bursting with flavor. The presentation was impeccable, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. Not only did Kim M. ensure that our orders were taken promptly, but she also checked in regularly to ensure that everything was to our liking. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she was knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating our dietary preferences flawlessly.Overall, my dining experience at here was exceptional, thanks in large part to Kim M.'s exemplary service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for not only delicious food but also top-notch service. I can't wait to return!“
“Great place to celebrate ! Went to celebrate my husband's birthday. The serve(Antonio) was great , very friendly, accommodating and overall good service. The prices were good , flavor is there , the restaurant atmosphere gave me modern vibes with good upbeat lounge music. The menu has your standard options.i picked the lemon chicken which was delicious. The server came out with tiramisu and lemoncello ;without us asking for it I guess he overheard our conversation that we were there to celebrate a birthday, this was an excellent observation made by him, which I thanked very much. Kuddos to my paisano Antonio.“
“Came in for the first time looking for an authentic pasta experience and I GOT IT. Rick was super friendly and helpful, and arranged for us to eat in the shop after hearing we didn’t live nearby. Rigatoni ala vodka and pancetta spinach ravioli were fantastic. The chew to those noodles is out of this world. Focaccia with their house garlic olive oil was a great compliment to our pasta. We will absolutely return another day.“
“Super super cute family owned spot! Not a lot of great deli’s in the area but this was an awesome stop. The staff is SO kind! Although we only tried the deli food the market was well stocked and I look forward to getting supplies to make an authentic Italian dish! Highly “
“Best local spot for gelato or food!! They always have a huge variety of gelato and ice cream flavors. I love coming here, the portions are always big as well. Their food is served hot and tasty! I also really like the small and intimate environment. I always have great service!“
“Pasta D’Arte is a gem. Everything on the menu is fresh, scrumptious, and flavorsome. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about each of the food items. They have a large space, outdoor seating, and an area for private parties, but you can also find an intimate nook if you’re looking for something more romantic. I highly recommend going there for a celebration or a date night.“
“Excellent food and atmosphere!! I went here with my family and we had a great time. I had the langostino lobster stuffed ravioli in cream sauce and it was delicious I cannot wait to go back. My girlfriend had the penne farcita which was equally delicious!! I’d recommend the tiramisu and the peach cobbler for desert as well!!“
“We hosted my son’s communion party at Porretta’s last May and we were very satisfied with everything, so we decided to cater for my mother’s birthday party. We ordered a few days prior and John was able to accommodate us in spite of the short notice. We had it delivered on time and with care. All the food was delicious but our guests especially raved about the Rigatoni Vodka and the mini meatballs.I am already planning our next celebration and will be using Porrettas catering once again!“
“We visited for the first time yesterday and it was AMAZING! Great ambience, friendly staff, good music but the food was the star of the show. Absolutely delicious! Everything from the bread, salads, soups and entrees. We will definitely be back!!!“
“Best vpn pizza in the aria.. staff is on top of everything and service is great , fast quick and fresh then going there for years love it I just wish they would change up their money once in a while introduce new pizzas introduce new dishes but it’s 100% “
“Flew from Reno to Chicago to see my son play lacrosse in the Milwaukee area. Had to stay in Chicago over night due to problems with our rental car. Happen to stay right next to Frannie"s Beef. So glad we stopped for a Italian beef and sausage combo sandwich. I have been craving a good italian beef sandwich since my last trip to Chicago. This place is an icon. Definitely will be stopping here again.“
“Truly a family-owned, family-run and family-centric establishment. We've witnessed them grow since they opened in 1999, and their craft is perfected. Whether you want a quiet date night with some ridiculously delicious pasta and wine; or a coffee and Gelato; or a quick lunch of a sandwich, pizza or arancini and pasta salad... you can't go wrong. They're expert caterers and you won't have to worry about a thing if you're hosting an event of any kind. Love!“
“We had eaten at a Lou Malnati’s several years ago and didn’t care for the pizza we had tried. But since we’ve heard so many people rave about their pizza, we decided to give the place another try this last time we were in Chicago. The restaurant has plenty of seating, but going late on a Thursday night meant the place was pretty empty. We had prompt service, but the pizza does take time to make. Plan on at least 30 minutes to get it delivered to your table. We ordered the Malnati Chicago Classic and added mushrooms. I’m not a big fan of sausage, so I was a bit hesitant to order it. However, I really enjoyed the pizza overall. The sausage wasn’t overly strong, and the tomato sauce had a wonderful sweetness to it. The crust was cooked to perfection, and the mozzarella cheese was plentiful. So did this pizza measure up? Absolutely! We will definitely be back!“
“Carmen, our server was fabulous. Table was quiet, which was very nice and we felt our conversation wasn’t listened in on.I selected the skirt steak with the chimichurri. My fiancé had the sea bass on special. Antipasto to share as an appetizer. Bread was warm, butter whipped.Cocktails were good. Would absolutely come back again. The only weird thing, the chairs are leather. The seat I had was clearly stained, not sure what with, but it wasn’t wet or sticky. But the brown stain was a little off putting, but I totally forgot about it once I sat.“
“We were in the area overnight and looking for something authentic and quiet. We found both!! We didn’t realize it was byob but it didn’t matter. This is absolutely some of the best Italian food in the City/Suburbs. We live way south but will absolutely be back for the food. Great food, great service, wonderful atmosphere!!“
“When in Chicago, you can't skip on this place. The pizza was amazing. This was my first time trying Deep Dish (Chicago Style) pizza, and I'm glad I went with the best for my first time. We also had the fried mozzarella and the bruschetta. The Bruschetta is nicknamed "The Best" and after having it, I now know why. Our waitress was super nice. She was an older lady with a Boston accent but she was so funny and took really good care of us.“
“The food is authentic Italian and is delicious, especially the Rigatoni Con Sugo Di Carne! You can dine in to enjoy pleasant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. It's in the center of a strip building between other restaurants that look alike so it's kind of hard to notice. In fact, I was told about the place and I live six blocks from it and drive by it almost every day.I have not tried the pizza since the Rigatoni is so good. If you like genuine Italian food, try it. You will return!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs look like they can roll right in. It's all ground level.“
“Everything about our experience was five stars. First off the ambiance was so nice, stylish but comfortable and cozy. My four year old spilled milk all over him, the booth and the floor. The staff, Claudia (server), Andres and Kristine (host) were so unbelievably kind, attentive and responsive I don't think I have ever experienced that before. Kristine was so helpful and concerned she even offered me a clean towel to help dry him off in the restroom. I haven't even mentioned the food! Everything we ordered was delicious. We had an assortment of small plates (focaccia, Brussel sprouts, calamari, farro) as well as pasta and the burger was enjoyed by all. We would definitely be regulars if we were local.“
“Rustico's new space on Oak Park Ave. (in the old Oak Park Brewery) is incredible in terms of its aesthetics. Very open, high, exposed bow-tie roof trusses, reclaimed wood plank ceiling, a really cool floor (tinted concrete?), and exposed brick walls. Totally cool vibe indeed. Myself, my wife, and two 21 year old kids dined there 1.5 weeks ago and it was awesome. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately. All of the staff that helped us were great: fun, personable, and attentive. We ordered the seafood Paella, Carbonara, Fruitti Di Mare, and Braised Short Ribs. All seafood in the Paella and Fruitti Di Mare was cooked to perfection-nothing was the least bit rubbery and everything was quite savory. The Carbonara was so tasty and incredibly decadent (which, when ordering Carbonara, you almost expect!). The Braised short ribs that my son ordered were so good (based on his review), but unfortunately, decorum prohibits printing the words he used to describe his love of the dish herein. When the bill arrived, there was absolutely no sticker shock and in fact, my wife and I felt that the entrees were very reasonably priced (especially given their generous portions). I don't think that many diners leave this place hungry. Personally, I love Rustico as the food is awesome but the restaurant is anything but pretentious. We will most def be back soon! Jimmah!“
“I enjoy this restaurant. They have a great bar and make a wonderful old fashioned. Their oysters Rockefeller are out of this world. Best I have ever had and I’ve been to Antoine’s. Crispy chicken wasn’t. It was in a sauce and wasn’t special. Cheesecake Factory has better elote, and Jimmys hotdogs on Grand has better fries. We have had the steaks in the past and they are very good. Yesterday was like eating at a McDonalds playland. The couple seated after me saw where the host was going and said no, they wanted the remote room. I’ll remember that. You can at least have the adults in a quieter area. The service wasn’t great. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come and get the drink order. Not exaggerating. A group who came after us were served dinner before we got our appetizers. The host came over often but it seemed kind of odd. They couldn’t figure out how to give us separate checks. But I’ll go back and have oysters as an entree or a steak.“
“If you want an amazing steak, this is the place! Steak at an Italian restaurant you ask? Yes. They have a dry aged tomahawk steak this is to die for. Mind you it is expensive, but so worth it. It’s huge and when we go as a couple we get it plus a few sides. It is also great for a larger group because then you have room to enjoy their pastas and desert. People usually think you go to a steakhouse to get a great steak. But I have found that many Italian and French restaurants offer these larger prime cuts and they are usually outstanding.“
“This is one of the best little family owned Italian restaurants! Enjoyed a great family dinner. Not rushed like other places today. Food was phenomenal and pricing very reasonable for the high quality of the food and the extras. Great service. Will be back when I am up in the area again.“
“I have been shopping at Nottoli for 25+ years. Their Italian sausage is the best. Yesterday, I called in an order for a party tray of 40 mini sub sandwiches at 2:15 pm. They were ready at 3:15 for pick up. The sandwiches were “award winning”. My wife brought them to a rehearsal for her church choir. Their staff is top notch. If you have not visited the store please do, you will not be disappointed.“
“A fantastic place to have deep dish pizza in Chicago! A friend recommended this as we are from out of country. Would definitely come back again for their deep dish pizza stuffed crust. Their pizza crust is the best thing another the pizza (I personally don’t eat crusts on pizza, but here, it’s my favourite part). We also had a side of parmesan garlic fries and a Caesar salad which were a fantastic addition. Thanks Dimitri for the fantastic service!“
“Had lunch in...chicken parmesan was dry, not enough sauce, chicken tasted old, didn't like. Would have liked ice water at table rather than having to purchase $2 bottles of water. Bread was excellent. Paid and tipped, but no table service, so not sure why.Cannolis that we took to-go for a birthday were fantastic. Rosemary focaccia to-go, also great.“
“Would I visit this place again: YesWas this place clean: YesOutdoor seating: YesWas this place hard to find: NoWhat would I change about this place: NothingWhat was my favorite thing about this place: Real homemade espresso and delicious food. The atmosphere is authentic and I felt at home again.“
“I hadn't been here in about 15+ years. Finally came back. Ordered a sweet beef, hot beef, chicken tenders, & fries for $30. Everything was great! Prices are pretty low given the crazy inflation going on right now. Quick service. Will definitely be back“
“My boyfriend and I love this place. It's extremely clean inside and we usually just place an order to go over phone. We usually will get chicken Alfredo or baked mostaccioli, but we ALWAYS get those tacos. They are actually very very good!“
“Incredible food with very handsome cash register workers. 10/10 would go again! Growing up in Italy I can say they have the best Italian food I've had since moving to the Americas. Hopefully their business continues to thrive and become more and more recognized.“
“We saw that Chicago's Pizza offered a Mickey Mouse for children that they could build themselves and decided to take our children so they could have the experience. For our ourselves, we got a deep dish pizza, thin crust pizza, and fried cauliflower. We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of our food, which was very tasty (and we had gone only for the kids' pizza). They're focaccia was superb. Unfortunately, the restaurant sent us Mickey Mouse pizzas that were already made (not made by our kids). Other parents will understand how your dinner experience is affected when you've promised a 5-year-old something all day and then that thing doesn't come to fruition-it ruins your dinner. The staff were nice and accommodating, and they did what they could to help, including bringing out dough balls to make it seem to our kids like they were making the actual pizza. In the end, it worked. However, the dinner was a lot more tense than it should have been feel (and contentious amongst the parents). This is a situation that should've been handled by management. If the place is going to cater to children, there are the sort of things that it must stay on top off. Most parents can overlook a flawed pizza, but not a child crying over dinner.“
“On line doesn't allow for 1/2 cheese only side plain ingredient pizza orders.Try calling to leave a message before store opens about on line pizza order, can't be done. Can't change delivery time on line, just stuck on 11AM, need at noon..frustration.“
“I loved it all. We were sat right away. We ordered fried calamari and the burrata with tomato and pesto. Very yummy. My main was the ravioli vitello in brandy, tomato and cream sauce, very delicious. My husband had the capellini with chicken and he was positively ooohing and aaaahing and that almost never happens with him!. My daughter had the clams with linguini and it too was delicious! We finished with the profiteroles which were nice but it is very hard to chew gelato so they would have been much nicer with a custard filling. The server was fantasticWe were very happy and ordered the eggplant entree to go,Definitely a great place to eat!!“
“I've been coming to this bakery for at least 20+ years and it's always a treat. Whether getting a slice of their real Italian pizza or a cannoli or some bread/rolls or ordering a cake - you won't go wrong. Huge selection of Italian cookies and pastries as well as most other things that are baked. The biggest issue is once you get something here, no other place will ever be as good.“
“This was my first visit to Victory and definitely not my last! Food and cocktails were delicious and our server, Orlando, was the NICEST person! Thanks to the manager who took care of me and my bestie. Wonderful ambiance and friendly staff!“
“Friendly phone person to start out . Thank you, Katy . ( Some restaurants have lost sight of the importance of the first person to represent their business . No one wants to deal with a cocky and rude high school girl who can't get their order right. ) Excellent Pizza! Nice CRUNCH on their thin crust dough . Only very slightly thicker crust than most. And not burnt or charred . ( Not that I mind a good char taste ) The cheese is perfectly caramelized, so I wouldn't risk losing that by ordering a well done pizza . The crunchy dough stands up well to the slightly generous amount of sauce that is perfectly balanced . Extra thin sliced fresh veggies are also much appreciated .“
“Panino's Pizzeria was, frankly, a very pleasant surprise. We agreed to meet friends here - they had recommended it. It looked like so many run-of-the-mill pizza/Italian food joints in the Chicago area, that we weren't expecting much. Boy, were we wrong. This is NOT nouvelle cuisine Italian-style, but rather stereotypical, Italian-American food that is hearty and quite tasty. Gratis bread to start the meal, followed by pork meatballs in red sauce and burrata. My wife had the lasagna - very nice portion, and I had the pork chops with broccoli. The wait staff (Fred) was bend over backwards accommodating us. The fried dough with chocolate was amazing. The prices are moderate. And none of us had pizza! We're certain to return to try some (they serve several styles). Huge thumbs up!“
