“The food at this place was excellent. And the service was too good. I go to this place very often because I love the pizzas at here and I also highly recommend this place for cattering as they provide in very affordable prices and we always order from this place for parties.“
“I had a great evening at Vai's. The party room was fantastic. The staff was great and the food was outstanding. All the guests were absolutely delighted with their food. I really could not have asked for anything better. That's why it's the best restaurant in the city IMO. Thanks! You guys rock!“
“We were a party of 7, had a 5:00 reservation. As usual the service was fine and the food was great. From lasagna to the special (ravioli with beef filling and a meatball) everyone's food was served hot and delicious. Desserts were great too! I had a marvelous tiramisu and others had their great lemonchello cake. My only concern was for 7 people they should have brought us 2 loaves of bread instead of 1. Plus no EVOO and parmesan were not offered for the bread.“
“Love this newer Italian restaurant in Naperville! Lovely ambience and setting, fun waiter, (John) delicious food and even some intel on our wine thanks to the sommelier. Excellent choice for a date night out and we’ll be back: on our own and with our kids. ?“
“Brian was amazing! He was so personable and hilarious. I’m grateful for his sincere kindness and exceptional service. His efforts truly transformed my evening out with my aunt into a phenomenal experience! We will be back solely because of him.“
“First time here and I will drive an hour to come back. There’s a cute little Crystal Life store around the corner you must check out for those negative vibes.Anyhoo I had the Scottish Salmon and I have to say its top 3 on my list now. I’m a true food connoisseur and earned the right to say that.“
“Was our anniversary. The food was awesome. Best calamari I've ever had. The owner checked on us often. Service was outstanding. Even though it was an hour drive, it was worth it. On the way home we discussed how often we will come back. Would highly recommend as an outstanding Italian restaurant.“
“Everything about this restaurant is amazing. Beautiful set up, very nice atmosphere inside and wonderful decorations. Service was great, our server was on top of it, super friendly, very kind. The manager came by to check on every table. Sangria was delicious. Would definitely recommend the zucchini fries. They have a Monday special which is half price all pizzas which is amazing because their pizza is so delicious and wood oven baked. One of the best pizzas in the area. Parking is not convenient. There is construction on the street currently so no street parking available. Closest parking lot is a 3 min walk or next best thing is the parking garage on the opposite corner. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a celebration or just a nice date night.“
“Dropped in for lunch with our family. Margo took great care of us and we felt our kids were welcome. Light Italian fare, fresh vegetables and premium seafood. There was something for even our pickiest eater. This is a great spot for mom and dad to feel like they can get a grown up meal with happy kids.“
“Garrett, our server was great from the moment we sat down. He helped us decide what to order, made sure our beverages were delivered (not 21), and expedited the kitchen when my pizza came out wrong! The salads and pizzas (all ordered lunch specials) were outstanding.“
“I moved here from Chicago recently and was looking for a new pizza spot. The menu offered a wide variety of pizzas and Lasagna pizza looked nice so I gave it a try. It was absolutely delicious!! Every component from the dough, to the sauce, to the toppings were excellent and worked perfectly together. I 100% found my new go-to pizza place and am craving another pie as I type this review.“
“Home Run, got the 8 finger cavetelli with a couple meatballs on the side. Both were amazing, pasta cooked fresh tasted great, meat sauce was very meaty. The place was spotless, by far the cleanest restaurant I've gotten food from in a long time. You can tell the owner cares. I hope they continue making great food cause I'm gonna continue going here.“
“Exceptional. Sicilian-Italian food like it was home made! The bruschetta was fresh and exciting. The bread was home made. I had tortellini, The Wife had gnocchi. We pretty much stumbled onto this place, looking for good Italian food in St Charles, and boy! What a great stumble!Small, no-frills. Just exceptional food.We will be back!“
“I grew up eating Lou’s. Never had another deep dish. And I’ll never get tired of it. They can get busy especially on the weekends but you can order your pizza ahead while you wait. It’s best to reserve if you can. My favorites (besides the classic) are their Buffalo wings, calamari, pasta, and can’t forget the cookie skillet. Always had a great experience.“
“We went to this restaurant for a family event. There were nine in our party and because of our party's size, we were seated in the building next to the restaurant. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was beyond delicious! We had heard good things and everything we heard was true. If you are looking for good Italian food, this is the place to go.“
“The food is really good. First visit had the Rocketman Pan Pizza. which is more like a thick flat bread. Very tasty. The Chorizo Stuffed Dates were amazing. Second visit tried the Nonna's Sunday Pie Pan Pizza, extremely spicy!!Cons:(1) Lack of Ice. You get No ice with your water and maybe 3 small cubes in your cocktail. We have learned the first thing we order is two tall glasses of ice to add to all our drinks.(2) Services is so so. You don't see your waiter much. After you order, someone else brings your food. Nobody ever checks on you after that!! So if you need another drink, napkin, silverware, anything . . good luck.We will give it one more try. If the service is not better then we won't be back. You can get good food a lot of places, so service is a MUST.“
“The food here is awesome, the service here is usually great. Tonight though, our server carleigh was exceptionally horrible. It started out fine even though I could easily tell she had been drinking for what seemed like the entire night based on the fact that when she was looking at you, she was moreso looking through you. That, and the fact that she had to pause every few seconds to remember what she was just saying. All of that taken into account, my partner and I laughed it off. When I noticed both serving plates on the table were dirty, I politely let her know “hey, I understand this happens, but these plates are dirty. Do you mind if we replace them?” ……she then proceeded to pick up the plates and say “how are they dirty”Hahahaha okayAfter that she probably saw our table two last times, one being for the check. She then proceeded to have us waiting for 6-7 minutes for her to come BACK and grab the card from us —so her busser had come by and done it for her. When she finally came to grab the check, she literally non-verbally signaled for the card with her hands in the air and finally goes “the card?”Look- if you’re going to drink on the job, make sure you’re a functioning, kind drunk.Pasta was great.“
“We absolutely love eating at and ordering from Brasi’s! The pastas are all so good, we rarely order pizza! My favorite is having their gnocchi with their amazing meat sauce. We’ve even catered our favorite dishes for a family party. I can’t recommend them enough! Plus, I feel like there’s always a coupon - so a very affordable night out!Kid-friendliness: We have young children who love the food and atmosphere just like we do! They are always welcomed and enjoy yummy ice cream at the end of our meals!“
“I decided to get takeout from this place since it was across the street from P Martin Jewelers. It’s a small restaurant with a handful of tables to dine in. Service was mediocre because it did take a few mins for them to acknowledge that there were customers waiting to order. However, service was great after taking my order and making my food. I ordered chicken parmesan dinner and breaded mushrooms. The portion size was very generous for the price. Menu prices are very decent. Breaded mushrooms were fresh and juicy. Chicken parmesan dinner was delicious, the chicken was perfectly cooked and moist. Pasta was tender and sauce was flavorful. Overall a solid 4.5/5. I will return to dine in and try the crepes and gyros.“
“I was very impressed by Fire and Wine. It has a casual vibe. Obviously a local favorite. Each dish was excellent in taste and presentation. Service was great! Both the hostess and server were happy to share recommendations of their favorite dishes. We had the black pepper shrimp appetizer and the pizza bread for the tasty sauce!! We enjoyed our salads and entrees. We were too full for dessert! As we left, I was impressed at how clean the restaurant was- even after serving such a large crowd. Nice place. Good culture. Recommend!“
“Went shopping at outlet mall. Came across this pizza place on google. It had good reviews. The food was fast and delicious. Had pepperoni pizza and garlic bread sticks. Perfect place to eat! Defiantly will be the place to go to after going to the mall. We will be back when we’re in town! Thank you for great service and friendly staff.“
“Been coming to this place for 25 years. Had many celebrations and lovely memories with family and friends. Dino and son truly care about people. Their passion is in customer service, but most of all, they’ve carried down recipes from generations. The sausage here is made from scratch. The pizza has only the freshest ingredients. Try the Penne Abruszezzie ?). Fresh ground sausage with red tomato sauce and penne pasta. I load on the fresh Parmesan. My favorite since 1999. But price was $12.99 then if I’m not mistaken. Tirimisu is also made fresh and so good.“
“I went here for a nice dinner with my fiancé. Sure it is a little expensive, but can you argue with that when the food is great and the ambiance is so nice? It's right in the heart of downtown Wheaton. The service was friendly and informative. It was the nicest little dinner I've had in a long time.“
“I'm 100 percent Sicilian who was raised on the south side of Chicago. After moving to the suburbs I could never find a pizza that could match good south side Chicago pizza until I had yours. Unfortunately I don't live near by so I only get it when I visit my friend who lives in Bartlett .“
“I'm not being paid, I have no reason to lie, and all I want y'all to know is the Bourdain was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Drive how ever far you need to to get one, was about an hour round trip for me and nothing will stop me from doing it again.“
“Our first visit was a hit! Our waitress was a joy. The ambience was very nice. The burratta appetizer started the meal off perfectly. Totally enjoyed the panzanella salad with ciabatta bread. The white fish and filet medallions were also super. Finished with flourless chocolate cake that was decadent. We will definitely be back!“
“Friday night is always pizza night in my house. My daughter loves coming to the "pizza store" with me to pick up our order...she's treated like a little celeb there and we love it. This past Friday was no different, so I wanted to give a shout out to the chef for making my little girl's night. We stopped in to pick up our order but forgot to ask for our free cheese. The store was bumpin' and while I didn't want to wait 15 more mins, I didn't want to be a burden on the kitchen. The chef saw I was with my daughter, and asked if the cheese was for her. When I told him it was, he simply nodded and went back into the kitchen. He came back out with my order, and 2 massive slices of cheese for my daughter. Not only is the food delicious, but service like that is why we go back. Thanks everyone!“
“Co-worker mentioned to try out the Boss's Signature. We decided to try it out and we are so glad we did!! Two of us had the ribeye and two had the corn beef and cabbage. For dessert we tried out the cheesecake and key lime pie. All the food was absolutely delicious! Was very impressed that the owner Gino came to our table to see how everything was!! You don't find that much these days. Wonderful people, atmosphere, good service and great food.....what more can you ask for. Already discussed that this may be our new go to place. Looking forward to trying out their breakfast menu.“
“My wife and I are gluten intolerant and Little Italian-West has great gluten free crusts and cook up the tastiest pizza in town! Both of our grown boys have always loved Little Italian and when they visit they always ask for their favorite Little Italian-West pizzas. Highly recommend!“
“Did a carryout of 2 calzones, ready on time, wow they were huge, well worth the price and very tasty! They were package very well too keep the calzones and sauce hot until we arrived home. Great food and they know how to package their carry out. I highly recommend Maciano's!!“
“I have waited too long to order from here! We tried a panzerotti, cheesy garlic bread, a thin crust pizza, and tiramisu to go. All the food was yummy! The pizza was loaded with ingredients. A high quality cheese. And sausage with fennel, yum! It smells good when you walk in. Very authentic Italian food! Friendly service. Reasonable prices. I'll be back.“
“Little Pops is the absolute BEST. Every aspect was perfected - the decor, friendly atmosphere, service, and food. The decor was NY and Italy themed, and looked awesome. The owner of the restaurant greeted us as we sat down and chatted with multiple tables. The service was impecable, even down to asking us how we wanted a side of banana peppers (grilled, raw, cooked). The cocktails and appetizers (strawberry mint drink, garlic knots, fried ravioli) were delicious. We tried the meat lovers and chicken parm pizzas and were absolutely blown away. I could write a review on the dessert alone too. The peanut butter pie and gelato were the best of my life. I will be back with all of my friends and family. Little Pops is a MUST.“
“This is our family favorite pizza place, prices are great, service is outstanding and food is AWESOME, please don't waste your time somewhere else, if you are a pizza/Italian food lover, Generoso is a MUST, thank you Generoso for your great service and AWESOME food :)“
“Small pocket of deliciousness brought to you by genuine Italian family with friends. The delicate taste of caprese with homemade bread was scrumptious. Fried & baked panzerotti:The bread was soft, the cheese was ooey gooey & the tomato sauce was fresh and earthly. None of that canned salty sauce. Definitely must try more when we visit again. Forgot to take picture of the shrimp & broccoli linguine but also light & flavorful. You must try“
“Delicious food made with quality, fresh ingredients. The caramelized pear and onion pizza with the beat salad was delicious! I got the lunch special which was reasonably priced. The atmosphere/vibe is nice, too. If I could give 4.5 stars to food and service I would. I would definitely recommend to others and come back myself.“
“Dined in for the first time and I loved the homie warm atmosphere of the restaurant, Tony the owner, and our server Therese! The vodka pasta pea dish, Spaghetti and meatballs, and vanilla bean cheesecake was Great!!! Tony was very personal, down to earth, and friendly. Thank “
“Great customer service by Tiffany! I went to there with my family (after going to Coopers Hawks first and they could not accommodate us on short notice due to not having enough staffing) their lost. We went to Maggiano’s (Napervile) and she Tiffany accommodated us in such short notice and everything was great! We will definitely return again. Thank you!“
“Love to visit cozy mom-and-pop places where the owner visits with you. Homemade ravioli is delish and thank you for not oversalting the Pollo Marsala! Very tender. Enjoyed the chicken soup on a rainy evening as well. Enjoyable dinner for two.“
“I've always been a fan of deep-dish pizza, having grown up in the Midwest, but now having lived in the south for decades. Life has brought me back to the Midwest, and to the mecca of deep-dish pizza, Chicagoland. So of course in the first few days of moving into the Geneva, IL area, I had to find pizza. Deep-dish pizza. Piled high with meat and cheese, weighing a pound per slice, forced to eat it with a fork. They do call it a "pie" after all, and I've never tried to "fold" or eat any other pie with my fingers...so why should a "pizza pie" be any different??? Yelp sent me to Charlie Fox's as a close-by option, and it didn't disappoint. Ordering over the phone I told the employee I wanted "deep-dish" and he said, "You know we do 'pan' pizza. Is that going to be okay?" After confirming it would still be an inch think, I doubled-up on both the meat and cheese. I was told 30 minutes. I arrived just a couple of minutes early, so the wait was minimal. These things can't be rushed, after all. In the meantime I looked around the small, unassuming shop. Just a couple of tables, but the two guys working behind the counter were friendly and helpful. I was told to make sure to hold on to the coupons that came with my pie, and when I told the man working the counter that I had just moved into the area and it was my first time there, he made sure my order was right. Even another customer, watching them cut and box my order said, "Wow...that looks good." I wasn't disappointed. Hot, with gooey delicious mozzarella clinging to every slice, the dough cooked just perfectly chewy, my partner and I gobbled down multiple slices. I'll definitely be going back. The service and food were both top notch, served out of a basic but clean shopfront! Five stars!!!“
“Went on a busy night but still great service and two great sandwiches, a corned beef sandwich and the St Charles (turkey, bacon and avocado). I appreciate that they were willing to make my sandwich as a wrap, too! Lots of fun options for sandwiches. Very short walk from the public parking lot north of 64.Parking: Just north of 64 and West of the shop are a few free public lots.“
“I found Bari Foods through the group Chicago Style Italian Beef on Facebook. This food purveyor got the highest reviews based on taste, value and ease of delivery. I ordered the $135 Bulk Pack which included 4...three pound packages of Italian Beef and 4...half gallon containers of their Au Jus/Gravy. Plus free delivery to Los Angeles. I couldn't be happier as others have stated great taste, exceptional value and a shipment that arrived intact and on time. I highly recommend them“
“Jet’s pizza is hands down my favorite. Not sure what I like best: the ez-pz ordering on the app, the prompt & courteous delivery, or the overall perfect, delicious pizza. Their thin and crispy is just that - thin AND *crispy*! No moving these pizzas from the box to the heated pizza stone in the oven to crisp up the crust. It’s already perfect. And the Detroit-style 4- or 8-corner pizzas?! Take that to a potluck party and make new best friends. Keep it all to yourself and and enjoy every bite.“
“I'm from out of town. When I saw the Chicago Tribune wrote about this restaurant not once but twice I had to try it. Am I glad I did. I ordered the baked Spaghetti with meatballs. My co-worker ordered the 10" personal pizza with sausage. The prices feel like pre-inflation prices. Super reasonable, especially once you see the large portions. I could barely finish my delicious spaghetti. It included two perfectly toasted and buttered pieces of garlic bread. My partner loved the pizza and she specifically commented on the flavor of the pizza sauce being amazing. The atmosphere is old school Italian and quaint. The owner was beyond friendly and struck up a nice conversation. I'm in town until Friday and can't wait to go back. 6/5 starsVegetarian options: Pizza with no meat. Pasta with no meat.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza crust option.“
“Excellent dinner, atmosphere, and service. We ordered stuffed mushrooms, they were hot and delicious. We were given a bowl of two types of bread which were warm and addictive. We also ordered chicken pesto with angel hair pasta. The order was huge and was delicious. The chicken was tender, next time we order this we can split it with two people. We ordered the white fish special again delicious. And finally our third order was pasta with a spicy arrabiata sauce. This was excellent. The pasta is made fresh every day. It's cooked perfectly. The service was exceptional. We were seated by the fireplace on a cold rainy night. Perfect atmosphere. I really was pleasantly surprised at the entire evening. We ordered an almond cake for dessert and it was just ok. The server had a great personality and was always making sure we were happy with our meal. I will definitely come back again.“
“I usually go to a pizza place on Irving Park Road in Roselle, but they were getting too pricy, and even charged a fee for using a credit card. I thought I’d give Capone’s a try, and I’m very glad I did!!I love a good sausage topping, and it can either make or break the rest of the pizza. The sausage Capone’s uses is tasty and not rubbery, as it can be with some other places. It was perfect. The sauce is has just the right amount of tanginess, and the crust is superb. The lady that answered the phone to take my order was very pleasant and patient (I had a few questions) and she even offered me free mozzarella sticks or a discount. There was no additional fee for using my credit card, and service was prompt (I picked up my pizza). The inside decor is warm, cheerful and quaint. Extremely cozy.I could definitely see eating there.I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience there was so pleasant, from the time I called to place the order, to taking the last bite of my final slice, that I felt compelled to.If they were open today (New Year’s Day) I would be ordering another pizza, since my son wasn’t home to enjoy it yesterday. : )5 stars*****“
“We've been ordering pizza here for years and we love the pizza. The other night we got an extra large pizza in order mozzarella sticks and a Chicken Caesar salad and the total came back $59 . When I looked at the receipt more closely, the price of the Chicken Caesar salad was 17.95... this was not a gigantic salad this was a dinner sized salad for 1 person absolutely I... And I didn't get any dressing for this $18 salad. We will always order the pizza because my family loves it but the rest we may skip because of high prices“
“Yeah, you might spend a bit more than at some national chain place, but Salerno's is the RealDeal. Fantastic Italian, - straight forward, fairly simple dishes done very well, and my (Italian Mother) would have loved this restaurant... many items seem like what she would have made.Huge portions so you can take home lunch tomorrow.Nice wine list we thought. My first time here, and we will definitely come back!Highly recommended for real, family ish Italian food.Parking: Just pull on, and look around!“
“About Saturday Night...We experienced an unexpected winning combination of excellent food, service and music! I love Brick Chicken, but here's the amazing twist, they offer Brick Chicken Vesuvio style and it was delicious! The Tortellini Vinzeiana was rich in flavor and carbs, but totally worth it. The Pappardelle dish was a taste of Italy. We really enjoyed our service and Karen's suggestions. She is one of the reasons we will return. Great service from a personable person is rare in 2024. If you go, ask for her, and listen to her suggestions.Sam Savage made the evening an unexpected perfect 10 with relatable songs and a charisma that made singing along and dancing not an option.Villiagios is a fun spot that offers an evening out, GREAT food, reasonable prices, excellent, attentive service, AND great music! We will be back and we told all of our friends!“
“Out of all the pizza places in the area, this is the only place I'll even go to anymore. Most consistently good pizza and service, all the employees are super nice, and there always seems to be some sort of special going on. The parking lot is kind of small, but hasn't ever been an issue.Parking: Lot is kind of small, although I've never had a problem finding a spot, it does feel a bit cramped.“
“Do you want a delicious pie? How about a burger and fries? This pizza shop has stood the test of time in this neighborhood, and for good reason. I haven't tried a menu item that didn't taste good! No dine in options, however you can venture next door with your meal, and enjoy a beverage too boot.“
