“A classy, hidden gem that Bloomington has needed for quite a while. Superbly crafted cocktails using fresh juices and sometimes the Flavour Blaster or Ripple, highly trained staff combines to elevate your craft cocktail experience in Bloomington.“
“I have yet to have a bad dish from here. Nachos are delicious and full of toppings. Street tacos are the most authentic in Bloomington. Fajitas are what you'd expect. Sopes are huge and really everything just tastes the way its supposed to if you grew up eating this food at home.“
“Serendipity has a split personality. Classy (well, classy for Bloomington) lounge upstairs, your trendy cousin's basement downstairs. The martinis served upstairs are delicious and unique. Drinks downstairs are strong and super affordable - $6 singles and $8 doubles. i show up for their Latin dance nights, which are always a good time.“
“Best bar experience in bloomington with the best Kareoke ever. Food is good enough to eat, drinks are perfect, Kareoke is worth living in this city for. Also, the average review for this place is way too low... No animals in a place of FOOD SERVICE is a standard that has simply become out of fashion. Sorry about your disability and appreciate your service, but tanking this place's credit because your a dog advocate is silly. The OL deserves better.“
“Intimate interior with twinkle lights & chill vibes. Servers & bartenders appear to be passionate and creative about their craft. I've met more than one who took a job here because they loved coming here and the quality of the product. That reminds me of Trader Joe's. I've been here alone, with friends and with my husband about four or five times. The food menu is limited, but the kitchen is small. Everything I've had so far, which is about everything, is well-made and delicious. *The everything deviled eggs are salty but delicious. The cheese and charcuterie board is probably the best choice to pair with the delicious cocktails. I highly recommend checking out the high proof laughs Comedy series in the spring. All of the proceeds go to good causes at local nonprofits. I also very much enjoyed the drink making classes. We have also recently invested (summer 2023) as Angel Investors! Whoo hoo! #staylocal #drinklocal“
“We went on a basketball home game night and it was not full at all. Maybe 8 tables taken. Coke products!! We ordered the fry sampler for appetizer and it came with 4 sauces. It was okay. The sweet potato fries must be fried in the same oil as the others because they didn't have much of a flavor difference. They had tater tots, buffalo chips, waffle fries and sweet potato fries. I was saddened that the garlic aoili wasnt good :(I ordered the chicken and waffles and thought it tasted great. I ordered the syrup and spicy sauce on the side. The Belgium waffle kind of fell apart when the syrup went on it and you only get 1. The chicken was amazing tasting!!! The breading wasn't too thick and it had great flavor. My husband got the western burger and he liked it. The menu had lots of things I considered getting. I've had the Buffalo chicken wrao before, and it was yummy. The inside decor is really nice. Clean and crisp and not distracting. Tvs everywhere.“
“Allie W was the best bottle girl I ever had. Was my last weekend in Bloomington and they treated me with the best respect and helped my table have the best time. I would recommend her anytime you ever have a table. She was so helpful with every question and bottle I had for the night.“
“We dined in for our wedding anniversary, and it was a really pleasant experience. This was our first time coming in after it has recently reopened. The atmosphere is completely different - it is very romantic and vibrant. The food and cocktail was also amazing! Highly recommend!“
“I have not actually made use of the accommodations at this Hyatt, but I visited Gallery 217 located inside the lobby, and that is a phenomenal amenity for the hotel. In a city well known for its local art and local artists, this gallery is a welcomed addition to the Downtown district. Bloomington is a city filled with opportunities and exchanges—academic, cultural, economic, etc., and with each new gallery or performance space opening those factors will continue to grow. So thank you Hyatt Place Bloomington for Gallery 217, and I hope that other hotels will adopt this concept in the near future. =)j“
“Three stars. The drinks were phenomenal. Our server was attentive initially but wasn’t very helpful in answering questions about the menu. I had the chef’s special pasta, which was delicious. My boyfriend had the pork tenderloin. When he cut into the meat, it was underdone. Our server became MIA after our dinners were served so it took quite awhile to even notify her that the temperature of his meat was unsafe to eat. When she finally returned, she said she would ask them to “put it in a little longer.” Because of her knowledge gap with the menu, we assumed she didn’t understand that you don’t generally put a piece of meat that has already been cut and partly consumed back into the oven. Unfortunately that is exactly what happened. After a short period of time, she returned with the same piece of tenderloin, now charred on the edges and served on a bread plate. It was horrendous. We were so baffled, we didn’t know what to say. He was full at that point (after eating off my plate during the long wait), so we just ended the evening without dessert. There was no compensation offered or provided on the bill to account for the poor quality of food nor did the manger get notified to extend her apologies. We were extremely disappointed. When you spend $100 on dinner, you expect it to be prepared in a safe and sanitary manner. Neither of those things happened for my boyfriend.“
