“I can't even begin to describe how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! My daughter & I have made it our go-to spot. We're usually there twice a week at least. The bahn mi sandwiches are SO GOOD! The owner is the sweetest & kindest man I've ever met. All of the employees are very friendly & very efficient at their jobs. I just can't say enough good things about this establishment & the people who make you feel so welcome.”

“Food was very fresh & delicious. Portions are HUGEEEE! Literally enough to share between 3-4 people. If you’re not a fan of spicy food you can always ask for your food without any spice. I got a level 0.5 for my food (tom kha soup & tofu pad se ew) and that was perfect for me. My husband got his panang curry a 1.5 level & that made my lips burn, but it was the perfect spice level for him. Not sure how anyone can order the level 5 spice unless they can handle the spiciest food known to man lol we also ordered the combination fried rice (delicious) and chicken satay. I have never seen chicken satay with sauce on it like they serve here, but it was very yummy! the thai green tea was also very refreshing.”

“Great food!!! Parked at the truckstop next door and came in for a bite. My wife ordered the special, which was lemon pepper fried fish with pasta and a garlic toast. I ordered the fried fish player. It came with 3 huge tenders and fries. Price is on point with the food. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. I was only going to order to go but the place was extremely clean and just had to sit down and eat. Restrooms were clean to the max with a hit of clean smell. The place was spotless. Food was grilled behind the counter and made fresh. Flavor was on point crispy fish on both plates. Hot and not oily at all. They definitely put attention to everything they do and will be a customer evrytime I'm in the area. Can't wait to try the beans next and a poboy, maybe a burger too while I'm at it. My wife's dish was the past and she said the pasta had shrimp and crayfish too.”

“What an oasis! We live in NOLA but have another home in the Parish for work. There are many fantastic restaurants in Chalmette, but Meme's is our favorite. All of the team members there treat us so nicely. We feel so welcomed and genuinely appreciated on our visits. BUT THE FOOD! Everything is delicious! No favorites, just order anything. They have various specials throughout the week. Favorite appetizers: Oysters, shrimp and meatballs. Salads: Wedge. Entrees: EVERYTHING! Specials: Steak night (Thursdays). Tuesdays: Half off appetizers. Desserts: Cheesecake! Have fun!”

“This place was GREAT! It's different than what I have ever experienced. Sicilian and Creole? Alright. Pleasantly surprising lunch spot. You have to stand in line to order and pay, then they bring you the food. Don't let this deter you. They give you HUGE portions. Try the mac and cheese with red gravy (a lovely marinara) - it's brilliant! The gumbo was PACKED with shrimp, have never seen anything like it gumbo-wise. Ate leftovers from lunch twice! YUM!”
