“Truly one of the best and most unique dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. A wonderful tribute to Senegalese and Creole food. The staff was absolutely incredible — so friendly and knowledgeable. Explained Senegalese transitions and even started the meal with a table side hand wash. They weren’t stuffy either, which can be common at restaurants at this caliber. They really made our experience top notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. All locally sourced and in season ingredients. Will absolutely tell anyone visiting to go to Dakar.“

“Willa Jean was one of the top suggested places by friends when visiting New Orleans. Running out of time, I went for a quick pastry since there's a to-go bakery counter near the large dining room. Ordering a blueberry muffin, they warmed it up for me. It was large and really good. It filled me for several hours!“

We didn't make a reservation, but took a chance on a Tuesday night and the four of us were seated immediately. Not sure if this happens very often, but it worked for us. “Oh my God... Read reviews on yelp and wanted to go to this restaurant... It did not disappoint. As a matter fact we've gone to several pizza places in New Orleans, and this is by far THE BEST! It was a Wednesday night so things were pretty chill. We had an awesome waitress, DD, who really made everything super comfortable and easy for us. Give us a different tasting of wine so we ordered a bottle and then a pizza... It was just a great evening highly recommend Theo s pizza! We will definitely be back! “I’ve never reviewed my greatest restaurant ever but I will start now. In October my wife and I went to Emeril in New Orleans. Not an easy reservation but worth the time, effort and long trip from our home in Hawaii. Our experience was great. . We knew that there were plans to shut down Emeril for a total redesign from top to bottom. We waited for the exact date to try to get a reservation and luckily secured one. We had absolutely no idea what to expect. The experience we had proved that the “new Emeril “ is the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. I will not describe each dish since it would take up too many words but know that each dish was outstanding. Now I will explain why Emeril is #1 in the eyes of both my wife and myself. Online you will see that there are two Tasting Menus, no a La carte so we were at least prepared for what we were going to eat. We were not prepared for the following total mind bending and culinary experience. When entering Emeril you are greeted with a true Aloha greeting. We sat at the gorgeous bar since we were early and had a Vieux Care our new go to cocktail. The mixologist continued with the Aloha Spirit and made an exceptional Vieux. The bar area was awesome. In a very short time we were greeted by a hostess who escorted us to the brand new dining room. It totally blew our minds. Twenty or less tables with a huge space between them. You almost feel that you are the only guests there. The table we sat at had a large banquette that just added a new dimension to comfort. Large gorgeous pillows supported our backs. Almost directly in front of us was a huge glass enclosed kitchen. This was pure culinary theatre. Almost immediately a chef came to our table and asked us if we would like to see the inside of the kitchen. We didn’t bat an eye and followed him into the most gorgeous well thought out kitchen we’ve ever seen. The chef gave us a brief description of the kitchen, introduced us to the staff and the entire team offered up a special hello. We both felt like the greatest VIP’s. He then showed us to a small table next to us that had two champagne flutes with what he said was a rhubarb juice. Also on a plate was a cube of some unbelievable jellied concoction to showcase the ingredients. Back to our table and the party began. The two tasting menus were explained, one Classic and the other Seasonal. Then the Amuse Bouches started arriving. We expected only one or two. Nope, two sets, one group of cold, the the other warm. Each one was as great as the seven small main dishes. The beauty of the entire experience was that we both left feeling sated, never full. The service was impeccable. Never hovering but always there and totally knowledgeable about every dish and that includes ingredients. The sommelier was the antithesis of what many sommelier’s are. Being Wine Educators and Consultants we really appreciated his knowledge and communication skills as well as his passion towards wine. We had a dedicated service team who I would love to take with us to other great but not perfect restaurants. Jason Burse, the Assistant General Manager made the whole experience into a perfect culinary tour de force. This is why we both feel that Emeril is the Best Restaurant we’ve ever eaten at. Although expensive, it did not break the bank. Can’t wait to return next October.“

“Came on Tuesday, not very crowded. Heard they'd won a lot of awards. Well, it is good. Very good. The salad can feed 4 or more. Each Arepas is generous, not really meant to be cut in half and shared, as is our habit.My wife and I often say, I'm torn between A & B, (I'm torn between B & A), so we order both & switch partway through. Amusing sometimes seeing the faces on the wait staff.No Manhattans. Cachasa or Rum cocktails here.Apparently there was recent road repaving causing parking issues. We parked 20 feet to the door, no problem.“

I have no idea why they don’t give both the overworked hosts and customers a break by having a more streamlined res/waitlist system. “Stopped here because the name included rum. And both the rum house and Axel did not disappoint. Quickly seated, and Axel right there to take our order. The tuna ceviche was delicious. We also partook in the spicy rum flight, bartenders choice. And had some tacos with fried plantains. All fresh, all good. Nice atmosphere, fun vibe, solid service. “Exceptional dining experience! We were seated at a lovely window table overlooking the charming courtyard. The menu features inventive and amazingly executed dishes in addition to great craft cocktails and an extensive wine list. Special mention goes to Griffin and Peter, both of whom guided us through the menu, made knowledgeable recommendations and provided exceptional service. The garlic flan, lamb and red snapper dishes were excellent. The stellar reputation of this restaurant is well deserved. We look forward to returning next time we visit New Orleans.“

“A bit of mixed feelings about it. Let’s start from the end. The bread pudding tasted good but not like a bread pudding. It tasted more like a ‘cake pudding’. The scallops, all 4 of them were very salty, thanks god that all else was potatoes to clean the palate :). We expected more considering the prices and ambience.“

“We went to this place after seeing a tik tok about their Italian ice slushies. They’re right down the street from the fairgrounds. The atmosphere wasn’t entirely welcoming to us and parking was tough like every other good place in New Orleans but I’d go again when in the mood for delicious Italian ice slushies. Yummy!!“

They have a variety of toppings for pizzas and are willing for personal modifications. They also have a "build your own" pizza option. Would highly recommend!“

“Food cart on a small farmers market style plaza . They make both gluten free and regular crepes . They are large and filling , they do taste as someone mentioned in another review like pancake mix . Not bad but didn’t expect that with ham and cheese . I ordered the bignete one and it’s just crepe with powder sugar . It was just ok.“

“I eat here regularly, food is delicious, I usually get the stir fries, but the curries and noodle dishes are delicious, as an American that doesn't know anything about Thailand but eats at lots of Thai restaraunts in the US, this is one of the better ones I've been to. At SUBWAY across the street people behind the counter would not give me the key after looking at each other for a few minutes they said it was out of order. “I was in Tremé for four days, and I ate and drank coffee at Fatmas each and every single one of those days. The coffee was amazing. The food was delicious and their pastries were just beautiful. I loved the atmosphere and the outside seating. There’s even a couple of open windows where you can just stand and look out and feel the breeze while you’re waiting for your food. I wish that I lived closer so that I could go there every day.“

“BRICK OVEN PIZZA! I know it says wood fired, but when I searched for “brick oven pizza” in NO, nothing popped up. Absolutely AMAZING seafood pizza. Cannot recommend enough. Would have bought another but had no viable way of getting it back to Dallas. As you can see I ate 1/2 of it before realizing I should take a pic to post. Our waitress Stacy? was very accommodating (as well the chef) as my wife has crazy food allergies and she was able to eat all of her without breaking out. Definitely returning next time I’m in NOLA.“

“This place has good food with lots of vegan/ vegetarian and gluten free options. It is very much a pick up food spot since it is in the market area. The market does have seating nearby, if not there are park benches around the market as well, but I took it for pick up to a bar that does not serve food. I had the vegan crab cake po’boy which was good, so I can only imagine that the traditional crab cake po’boy is amazing as well! I would most definitely come back to try that out or any of the other delicious looking options. They had a variety of food options with a lot of traditional New Orleans fares as well like red beans, okra gumbo and beignets. So I would say this is a great place to try some true NOLA foods. Also, true to the NOLA spirit, they also sell alcohol! Yay! Parking around this area is rough, so if you must park, I would recommend the parking lot a few blocks away.Vegetarian options: Just about all options had a vegan/vegetarian counter.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options, vegan/ vegetarian options“

“My family and I love, love, love to eat here. Feels like family! Our server is always nice and helpful, and always get our orders correct. The serving portions are excellent. Pricing is a bit high, but it's made up for by service, cleanliness, and the amount of food. Plus, the bathrooms are always available.“
