Long-ish review... i live on the northshore but work on the soutshore... we have many good sushi places on the northshore but my favorite has won best sushi on the northshore for 3 years striaght. Point being, Ive been to many sushi places that have had good sushi and bad sushi... i was optimistic with Mizu and was not let down.. first time in just a few minutes ago and i ordered togo (playboy roll.) The place was clean as well as organized (for its smaller size).. order did not take long at all and it was absolutely delicious... temperature of the food was great.. consistancy was nice and the flavor was there! “Exceptional dining experience! We were seated at a lovely window table overlooking the charming courtyard. The menu features inventive and amazingly executed dishes in addition to great craft cocktails and an extensive wine list. Special mention goes to Griffin and Peter, both of whom guided us through the menu, made knowledgeable recommendations and provided exceptional service. “We had salty oysters, oysters on the half shell, Gator bites, and crawfish meatballs. Everything was delightful, but we were surprised that they can't count to 12. We were shorted one oyster, and at the price they charge, that's a big deal. When we called it to their attention, they graciously brought us the one we were missing plus one extra. All in all we had a great experience. Our waiter was top notch, thr atmosphere great, and Bryon was a delight to visit with.“

It’s a sweet potato bread that’s absolutely delicious. I’ve even had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious. For the Sunday brunch they really should have a smooth, jazz band to play I make the seating, more aesthetically pleasing. “BRICK OVEN PIZZA! I know it says wood fired, but when I searched for “brick oven pizza” in NO, nothing popped up. Absolutely AMAZING seafood pizza. Cannot recommend enough. Would have bought another but had no viable way of getting it back to Dallas. As you can see I ate 1/2 of it before realizing I should take a pic to post. “Since we found The Blue Crab Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Nola we have become regulars. If you want the ambiance of a view of boats going by and Lake Pontchartrain plus impeccable fresh seafood then go to Blue Crab. The restaurant has a pure aloha vibe( we are from Hawaii). Just good people. An amazing waitstaff and the freshest crustacean anywhere in Nola. The restaurant is immaculate and smells from the sea. It’s such a calming influence. Our waiter, DANIEL TRENTACOSTA was awesome. He was the consummate waiter. Totally knowledgeable and with a family friendly vibe. He was able to explain everything on the menu as if he just caught everything we ordered. Being from Hawaii, over 6000 away we had hoped to get fresh crawfish but because of this years weather we were very pessimistic. A Softshell Crab platter of three pounds of the best crawfish in the greatest boil plus links of unreal andouille, super twice cooked French fries, great coleslaw and jalapeño hush puppies made for two very happy Hawaiians. If we happen not to eat anything else during our eight days in Nola, we still will go home very happy campers.“

“We stumbled into Iacovone and for a moment thought we had come into the wrong place. The restaurant is a hole in a wall that looks so decrepit from the outside, only the "Open" sign convinced me that it was actually a working restaurant. Then, when you walk in, there were two small plastic tables with a few plastic chairs. So it's then a little jarring at the counter to look at the menu of the day and see serious food for prices that are extremely reasonable for serious food (but still more than you have ever paid in a place that has a bit of an eating in a Subway feel to it). But don't let that dissuade you. Because this is indeed incredible food at very reasonable prices, and the advantage of being in a tiny hole in the wall is that you almost can't help but chat with the Chef/Owner/Sole Employee who has a great story to tell about his journey through the food world and his love for New Orleans. Iacovone was the last restaurant we visited on a three week vacation across multiple countries where we ate incredibly well. It was a fitting last stop. Make sure to give it a try on your next visit to the Crescent City.“

“This was my first time at Mr Ed's in Bucktown. Fortunately we arrived before the dinner crowd and were able to get a table right away. By the time we left the place was getting packed. Our waitress was a little distracted, even before the crowds came so don't know what that was about but we all have a bad day.I ordered the stuffed bell peppers and although they weren't huge in size... man were they stuffed to the gills with tasty seafood. These were not stuffed peppers mostly with breading.Definitely plan on stopping again next time I'm in New Orleans to try their chicken liver dinners, one of my favorites and very hard to find.“

“I keep getting the same menu item every time, but it's just so fresh! The quality here is superior to many Mexican restaurants and it justifies the higher prices (on some things). The cocktails are amazing and reasonably priced. I like having a location on the West Bank although Lakeview rocks with their beautiful outdoor/patio seating. For me, having a gluten free menu and knowledgeable staff makes all the difference, and I will continue to choose Gato Negro over any other Mexican restaurant!“
