“This is a wonderful little restaurant. I was visiting from out of town and had this place recommended to me three times, so I knew I had to try it. I'm very glad I did! Perry was a fantastic server. I went for brunch and had the Duck Hash. I highly recommend it.“
“"I've been a fan of this restaurant for its exceptional food, a dish we never fail to order and always enjoy. However, during our latest visit, the service fell short of expectations, leading me to remove a star from my usual rating.“
“We had a wonderful brunch at Daisy Dukes. Lisa was our server and she was phenomenal. We were seated quickly and food came quickly too. They were able to accommodate my weird no-egg, no-cheese veggie omelette request, and Lisa even got me a virgin bloody to try since I’m pregnant. The food and drink hit the spot and we would def eat here again!Dietary restrictions: Were able to accommodate no-egg no-dairy!“
“This was the best fried chicken I've ever had! 10/10 would recommend and come back. They were a bit busy so no one checked in on us for a bit after we got our food and there were a couple things we would have addressed sooner. But oh well because the chicken was just so good!“
“We came at 4, which is when they open. Perfect, no one was hardly there. Then, out of nowhere. A family of 10 with 8 kids all under the age of 11 was so loud and had no home training the adults didn't seem to mind either. Not to mention, the kids were all girls. Business is Business. I would say wayy too kid friendly of a “
“Tourist here. First time visit. Great service. Great Atmosphere. Our table had the corn-bread crusted gulf fish (perfectly cooked, delicious, divine), bolognese (adequate, traditionally made), fried chicken sandwich (handmade, proficient). Overall, worth a visit!“
“The staff was fun and friendly, the food was affordable, and it was delicious. I got a fresh fried fish po boy and it was not only MASSIVE, but the best fried fish I’ve ever had. Juicy in the middle and crispy on the outside. The bread was toasted really nice. My favorite po boy I tried in New Orleans for sure.“
“Yummmmm! Everything on the menu besides the flash fried oysters is impeccably delicious!!! I’m not exaggerating. Every single item is delicious. The menu is complete with all the recipes you can desire while in New Orleans, but elevated.I think the most impressive thing about this establishment is how quick the food comes out. It reminds me of how Gordon Ramsay’s Hells Kitchen makes a steak in less than 7 minutes and somehow is packed with spices and flavor that would take days to marinate! Love love love, will come again. Sorry I didn’t get a picture of everything, but I did try the hamburger, fried oysters, rib & wings, fish & grits, crab cake, and gumbo. *chefs kiss*“
“I'm here from out of town for a conference amd needed a Lil hair of the dog this morning so I asked the Vallet at the Marriott who is close by that has great Bloody Marys...they said Daisy Dukes. So here I am waiting on my coworker and they've got buy 1 get 1 free bloody Mary's and they are fantastic. My waiters name is Philip and he's so kind and a wonderful waiter!!!“
“My first experience with Food Assassin was via their food truck at FABC. My first time trying lamb and it was great. I have been to the restaurant 2 times since then and will return again. The staff is friendly and customer service is great too. Today I ordered lamb, a loaded baked potatoe and a grilled shrimp salad. My only complaint is my salad did not have cucumbers and red onions as seen on the menu picture. I did not check my order prior to leaving and it was a couple of hours later when I sat down to eat the salad. Van“
“Our server was great, and our apps came out fast. We were waiting for friends who unfortunately went to the wrong restaurant. Once we did order our entrees took a long time to come out. My co-diners food was cold and dry, mine was good, but a hugs portion. In the restaurants defense, it was Ash Wednesday and Valentine's day, so it was packed. Maybe the place has some kinks to work out, so I would give the place another chance.“
“After a long trip and waiting to settle into the hotel we found this spot not more than a block away and kept going back over the course of the week even though we were just visiting and not for the convenience but the service was fantastic the food was amazing and overall just an incredible spot to check “
“Service was friendly professional and prompt. while food was exceptional, the presentationFor the chicken and waffles was subpar at best. It looked like my 16 year old prepared it. The waffleWas crispy and light though. The ambience was very crowded with minimal spaceFrom the neighboring tables. Would return for the gumbo“
“I love this place and it consistently has amazing entrees. We came here for dinner on a Thursday night and had the turtle soup, trout eugene, and courtbouillion. Our dinner was fabulous and the turtle soup is a must. Service was good and we sat in the room next to the bar which is a nice area. They need to work on their desserts. We had the cheesecake brownie and it was very subpar. It had clearly once been frozen and tasted like something you'd get at a grocery store. I would skip the dessert here.“
“Have been wanting to try this place for a long time especially considering their mission. Their hours of operation are a little difficult for the 9-5 time, but finally made it out. Everything was fresh to order. Staff were friendly. They have indoor seating, parking is street parking. The building vibe is loft style, with high ceilings which made the place feel spacious. It was a busy time however we were seated quickly. I think they put a lot of detail into the place. Really enjoyed the fried turkey necks and the sweet potato fries. Would go back for those.“
“My friends and I had an AMAZING time at Brigsten’s. They were able to accommodate a last minute addition (called 3 hours before our reservation) to our party with no issue. When we arrived, we were seated immediately and were then welcomed by one of the best and most entertaining servers I’ve ever encountered (Ben). As someone who has dined all over the world, I do not say this lightly. Ben had our entire table laughing for the whole night. He was kind and all of his dinner recommendations were spot on.The service was lovely and the food was delicious. Highlights of the meal were the butternut shrimp bisque (the best bisque I’ve ever had) and the pork chop. Everything was delicious, but the aforementioned items were exceptional. The cocktails were delicious as well.Overall, great food, top notch service, and a charming setting made for a fantastic meal. I highly recommend. I will be back when I next visit NOLA.“
“Just celebrated our son’s rehearsal dinner here. 40 people, all arrangements from out of state. The food was incredible. The atmosphere was authentic New Orleans. Amanda is a dream to work with. The whole evening could not have been more perfect. Hoping my non-Louisiana offspring want to celebrate here.“
“Daisy Dukes Kenner (can't speak about other locations) was a great experience. Food served up fresh and hot...and delicious! We had the hot sausage po-boy and greens! The greens were so well seasoned and the sausage and bread tasted great and authentic (po-boy French roll)! I added the Daisy Dukes sauce to my po-boy (I'm saucy) and it took it to the next level!Between 3-4, you might have the place to yourself. But don't let the absence of a crowd fool you!“
“I probably would have never known this place existed if it wasn’t for my mom suggesting it. The food was delicious! All the best flavors, fresh tasting Nola ingredients! we even sat outside since it was a nice day. Definitely suggest stopping in for a bite. The crawfish pie was AMAZING!“
“This might possibly be the best meal I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely spectacular - I highly recommend getting oysters to start. Everything was amazing tho - incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service and ambience were also both fantastic. Our waitress was super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was very romantic. We had a private table, but I imagine the communal one would be super fun!Cannot recommend this place enough!!!“
“We are so glad we got a chance to eat here. The food was wonderful and service friendly. The prices are a bit high and the space is small, but overall we felt it was worth it. We tried: shallot dip, pork knuckles, coal roasted mushrooms, coal roasted sweet potato, cornbread, pickles, yardbird plate and chocolate cake. Everything was good! The favorites were the yardbird and sweet potato. And the cake was excellent.“
“The food is delicious the customers service on point food hot and fresh. The owner is down to earth and has a passion for food he makes sure his customers are happy and satisfied. This is a great spot on the west bank your family and friends will love it.“
“Our server, Michael was delightful. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable and patient with accommodating our dietary restrictions. We were his last table of the night, but he maintained exceptional service. The scallops were to die for and a dish you must try!!! Thanks for an amazing experience !!!“
“OH MY GOODNESS. You could go to a 5 star soul food restaurant and never have food this amazingly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Beyond excellent. Amazing!!!! We stopped after a swamp tour and were clearly looking like tourists, and the service was some of the best I have ever had - one of the ladies (maybe the owner) came and told us how to eat everything, brought extra gravy and sauces to try, turned down the fan to make us more comfortable, and just was the nicest and sweetest person you could imagine. Don't miss this one!!!! Get the greens they are heaven!! My sister had a fried fish po boy and I don't even like fried fish or po boys and I devoured the last few bites when she got too full. So fantastic!!“
“Was my first time trying the restaurant I was in for out of town for work and a local suggested I give them a try and they definitely were on point with the turkey wing with the rice and gravy candy yams were great also will definitely be back if I am ever close “
“Oh my, the four of us visiting from Northern California, took a suggestion from a local and had dinner here. Highly recommend eating here. Delicious!!! Also the absolute best Brussels sprouts ever. I say this because both of our husbands have always hated Brussels sprouts but they loved them. Seafood was wonderful. Service was wonderful, all workers were friendly.Dietary restrictions: Simply ask for gluten free and they make your plate gluten free!“
“It's a very small place but the food and service definitely make up for it. I got the baked spaghetti with sweet peas and fried wings and my wife got a fried shrimp on bun with onion rings. Absolutely delicious. And definitely get the watermelon punch!! Will definitely be “
“My wife and I had a late evening hunger that needed to be craved. We had a taste for chicken, and Gus was our second option. They stayed open at a great time to accommodate our hunger. Although we had a bit of a wait to sit down( there was a party of 28 people) so we were patient. The chicken was hot and fresh. Crisp skin, though I can't say that it was flavorful. It had a late kick of spice to it but the spice wasn't overwhelming. I want to try the tenders on my next outing and the greens.“
“The service here was sooooo slow. Spent 2 hours there but the food was really good! Order the alligator half fried half blackened. SO YUMMY! The shrimp and crawfish pasta comes with sooooo much seafood which is amazing! Shrimp po'boy is okay. Really yummy gumbo!“
“After a lifetime of Grits avoidance, it was Apolline that finally turned me - actually changed my mind. I was a "Grits Convert" they said, as if it were a common experience from their point of view.Maybe it was just the first time I'd experienced Grits as anything better than bland and uninspired gruel. Or maybe the preparation here was exceptional. Whatever the case, the Shrimp and Grits was irresistible. I felt a shade guilty, as if anything this good must be illegal, even in a city with few such social limitations.Short version: The food was excellent and the service was genuine. It was an easy place to enjoy, easier to recommend.“
“One of the best fried turkeys I've ever had. We had the cajun fried for Christmas. This bird was flavorful, juicy & moist. The service is warm and inviting. The lady taking orders truly makes you feel like you're talking to a an aunt in the family. I would recommend for any occasion.“
“Casual dining with exquisite dishes! It's no surprise to find good food in Louisiana and Hobnobber has mastered the art of flavor. Trout almandine with brabant potatoes, crab cakes on pasta with creamy crawfish sauce, corn bisque - I want more!Atypical people, people of all abilities especially welcome - your favorite meal is served with care and affection!Kid-friendliness: Just tell them what you need and they'll do their best to accommodate you!“
“Decided to try this place after coming across their instagram and could not have been any happier with that decision. From the service at the bar, to the drinks and the PHENOMENAL "She Crab Soup", everything was excellent. In fact, we enjoyed everything so much that we came back again the next day with friends!“
“I had the Bbq Thai Ribs, the red beans and the collard greens and all of it was good, but those collard greens were scrumptious. Our waitress, Rachel, was a sweetheart. So glad the music was NOT blaring. The front desk is always so accommodating to our needs. We'll be back!!“
“The bartender who wrote the drink ? menu is EVERYTHING!!! I tried the pink squirrel, which is his grandmother’s old recipe, and it was great!!! Make sure you have the bread. It’s a sweet potato bread that’s absolutely delicious. I’ve even had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious. For the Sunday brunch they really should have a smooth, jazz band to play I make the seating, more aesthetically pleasing. This is one of my favorite places to dine.Parking: Valet parking is convenient with validation stamp it’s under $20.“
“I work across the street at Touro so my friends were eating there a lot so I decided to give it a try. The lasagna is some of the best lasagna I have ever had! I'm a very picky eater too . Everything is so good and so fresh. Definitely worth it“
“A wonderful restaurant! Nice ambiance and decor. Excellent food. Service was probably the best ever. Our waitress, Julie, was super nice and efficient. Can't recommend it enough. It's not a bad idea to go to the cemetery across the street before or after your meal.“
“Holy Moly! As a born and bred South Georgia girl ( not really a girl anymore, lol) I know chicken. Or I thought I did. So when I say that this is without a doubt the best dang chicken sandwich on the planet, you can take that info to the BANK! My daughter Anna insisted we go there first thing as we attended the New Orleans Fried Chicken Festival and although we had some great dishes, this was just spectacular! Now have I ever called a chicken sandwich spectacular? Not once and I have had some really good ones in my lifetime.I just know when I win the lottery ( and I am lucky!) these will be the first folks I invest in. So if you want your tastebuds to be dancing all day, just go. I'm not normally this excited about something, but they have it going on!“
“We ordered a veggie omelette and a classic omelet. Plus 2 portions of pancaces (1 portion = 2 pieces) and two coffees. Large portions, great quality. However, pancaces are very large, approximately 20 cm (large pan). In retrospect, a portion of two pieces would have been completely sufficient for two people. Very friendly and quick waitress. Very nice gentleman at reception. Restaurant highly recommended.“
“You don’t go to Gus’s for an amazing atmosphere. You go there for the amazing chicken. I didn’t think it was that spicy but it was definitely flavorful. The baked beans and coleslaw was spot on too. Didn’t know about it now but I’ll be looking for them going forward.“
“Good PoBoy .. shrimp were perfectly cooked. Seasoned well... condiments were fresh.. over all i would go back to eat the PoBoy. This is my second time here; first time i ordered the pasta, for my liking was a little over cooked. Today PoBoy was good. Restaurant is clean, service was good.“
“Wow! Amazing! Great! Delicious! I can't believe how outstanding everything was! The service the food the environment the total experience! Fresh !fresh! fresh! The boil master knew what he was doing the chef was timely with the delivery of the fresh hot dishes we were served. My favorite was the burger that you can get all year round as well as the seasonal flavors of the crayfish. The dessert was completely outside the norm in terms of taste and delivery of presentation. The dining area was comfortable and the menu was easy to understand but it was difficult to make a choice because everything looked so delicious. So thankful I had the opportunity to enjoy this local favorite.“
“Great local spot to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even stopping in to have a drink. Staff is always friendly. The owners are extremely nice family oriented people. Food is always great. Gets busy on Saturday with the Gretna market.Kid-friendliness: Pretty much anytime you go there you’ll find children there with their parents never have seen or heard anything out of line.Wheelchair accessibility: I had a friend who lived not far from the restaurant and we would meet there she had no problems I entering or exiting or using the facilities.“
“Come here and relax. It’s a chill vibe which is well deserving of the overall 5. The service is friendly and interactive. The patrons are also nice and are willing to strike up, or participate in conversation. The happy hour snacks are pretty good. It’s not health food, but it’s fun food so don’t be a healthy Heather and complain.Happy drinks are straight forward, which is nice and simple. Close to all the major hotels. It’s kinda a nice break from the center of French quarter.Got the Mac and cheese (linguine, not elbows) and shrimp sliders.“
“A great location to dine and wine at. Great waiters and waitresses that know how to treat customers, and are genuine. Lengthy wait for food, but the chefs make the wait WELL worth it. Food is absolutely delicious. Speaking of food, it has a wide variety to select from on the menu. Highly recommend eating here, and I will definitely be coming back!“
“Traveling with a group. Cook was on floor trying to explain why food not done. Didn't have counts right. Should have focused more on food prepWaitresses were wonderful and worked hard. If in large groups, they struggle to get orders right even when pre-ordered well in advance.“
“Ordered on the website and used their curbside pickup. Very easy. Our burgers were cooked perfectly. My daughter likes hers well done and it was cooked through without severely charring the outside. The balsamic salmon and all the sides were also perfect. It’s a little pricey but worth it to get good ingredients and food prepared, cooked and garnished as requested.“
