“Came here after finding so many good reviews about it and it even came across my Tik Tok page. It absolutely lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is very nostalgic, the crew is very helpful and polite, and the food was amazing. My family tried the collard greens sandwich, the fried bologna sandwich and the mama tried burger. The start of the show was the fried bologna sandwich but the collard green sandwich was a very close second. The burger was tasty as well. If you are in the area, I recommend giving it a try!“
“I don't think I'll ever eat at a more delightful and delicious local restaurant. I had the saag and chingri malai shrimp in gravy, with appam and naan on the side. The appam was deliciously fluffy with a great coconut flavor. The naan was cooked perfectly and had brushed ghee and toasted spices on top. I had a great cocktail that had a good quality tequila in it, an awesome stout reduction and some mace (nutmeg) spice. It was perfect.“
“Mannn I'm not even from here. I saw this place and looked it up. I was a fan but had to see if it was as good as it sounded and looked. Twas better. Excellent quality top notch product and service. The amount of care and thought into everything plus the execution.. there just are no words.. if I could give more stars I would. If yall live in this area support this place and make sure they stay being able to provide this to the community. You'll thank me later. Taylor thanks for the great service and conversation. You guys are awesome. Keep on keeping on!“
“I have been wanting to try Addis Nola for years but never got around to going. This weekend that changed and I hate that I haven't gotten there sooner. I enjoyed everything from the service to the food. We went early evening but by the time we were wrapping up every table in the building was occupied and understandably so, the food is delicious. We started with the collard green sambusas which were sooo good. The dipping sauce that came with it was the perfect finishing touch. For the entree we ordered a shared the whole fried snapper, which was the best fried fish I've ever had, so juicy and well seasoned. We also had the Mar mitmita shrimp which was delicious, spicy but paired well with the jasmine rice. We also had spinach tibs which was great. We finished the meal with the bread pudding which a great finishing touch to a perfect meal. I hate I didn't take any pictures but I was too busy enjoying the food, the pics won't do the flavor justice anyway. Just try it, you will not regret it!“
“Our visit to Cafe Du Monde in City Park at night was an enchanting experience! With no crowds to contend with, we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the cozy ambiance of this iconic cafe. The outdoor seating area was beautifully lit, creating a magical atmosphere under the evening sky.Indulging in their famous beignets and cafe au lait was an absolute treat. The beignets were perfectly fluffy and covered in a generous dusting of powdered sugar, while the cafe au lait was rich and flavorful. It was the ideal combination for a late-night snack. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Cafe Du Monde - City Park is a must-visit destination, especially in the peacefulness of the night. We can't wait to return for another delightful experience. Highly recommended!“
“Thanks to helpers, we came here for our very first stop. Yes, the ambiance is local and dive bar-like BUT man this place is the best. We came during their 10-2 daily drink specials ranging from $3-$5.. I enjoyed the Bloody Mary, the Screw Driver and some generously poured shots. The wife over indulged in their famous Ftozen Irish Coffee drinks ($3). For an extra $6, the really friendly bar server will pour you a generous shot. We snagged a bar seat and sat here for a few hours. It's the place to be and yes, it's an Irish bar.“
“This place is unreal. I had two amazing crab cakes, greens and mac & cheese. To people with me got the trout special, which was also fantastic. You may need a nap afterwards. Did get busy while we were there, but the staff was efficient, friendly and moved things along. Would return here in a heartbeat.“
“If you’re in New Orleans and craving a classic Southern brunch, you can’t go wrong with the smothered shrimp and grits at Porche Cafe. Their dish is a delightful symphony of flavors, featuring succulent Gulf shrimp atop creamy, stone-ground grits. It’s a dish that truly embodies the spirit of New Orleans cuisine—comforting, rich, and utterly delicious. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Porche Cafe's shrimp and grits are a must-try for an authentic taste of the city's culinary heritage. .“
“Absolute delight. Skilled bartending, great cocktail lisy, chill inclusive atmosphere, best Sazerac I had in town. Felt like a local neighbourhood secret, but on the edge of the FQ. Not messy party spot, but a great place for grown ups to hang out for a few hours. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ would recommend to anyone visiting the area.“
“Forget the more known places in the quarter and find your way to Midcity for these beignets. They are light and fluffy and delicious. They also give you a shaker of powdered sugar, so you can decide how mich you want. And the service is great. It's also a beautiful place.Vegetarian options: BeignetsParking: They have their own lot.Kid-friendliness: It's basically a donut shop.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp and handicap parking.“
“This is one of the best lunch cafes I have ever been to! I am a vegetarian and sandwich options are always so limited anywhere else. So many options I had a hard time deciding. Even if you’re not vegetarian you should check this place out!!“
“Worth the drive to hit this spot. Snow balls are delicious and such fun flavors. Still using original equipment to make our sweet treat. I went with the recommendation and LOVED IT. Glad I don't live near Hansens. I'd be there everyday. Highly recommend“
“Fantastic. Hidden gem.Don't shy away from this place because it's tucked away in a food court, in fact go there for this reason. It has tons of seating, including a balcony. The perfect place to get an amazing sandwich away from the crowds.Tried the curry chicken salad sandwich and the French dip, highly recommend both.“
“Might be the best brewery in Nola. Very imaginative (and delicious) beers, with no fear about mixing things up a bit. Their pours tend toward exacting flavors, well presented, with no fluff, as you would expect from someone that knows exactly what they are doing.“
“I love BB as a nice little neighborhood spot to grab coffee and a treat. However, I'm disappointed with the walk-up window being self-service now. It was nice to be able to walk up with my excitable hound and wait for a coffee and snack to be brought out while she enjoyed pets from new people. Now I have to go inside, attempt to fix my coffee while hanging on the the leash of my excited dog who is trying to meet everyone, and feel self-conscious about being inside with her. So it's not really the perfect little take the dog out activity anymore. Boo. I did always tip appropriately for the service and I miss it : (“
“We recommend. Had American breakfast. Super quality and very good price-performance ratio. Had 'Grits' for the first time and it was delicious. Very friendly and warm employees. Nice ambience. Restaurant has a large influx, speaks for itself.“
“The best meal I've ever had in my life. I could not recommend this place more. We went on a week day to get bunch. There wasn't much of a wait we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely divine.“
“My husband and I came down from Boston for a long weekend in New Orleans and this is definitely worth a stop! We had a tour of the distillery with Alyson and she was very knowledgeable, funny and witty. We tore a lot of distilleries and wineries and breweries, and they had an excellent and very high-quality selection of bourbon available. They also offered some unique vodkas. You can't really go wrong here at all. After our tour, we ordered some drinks at the bar while we were purchasing some bottles to take home, and the bartender made some excellent recommendations of signature cocktails on their menu. Very good experience and highly recommend“
“It’s a pretty cool bar, but it’s a little frustrating that it’s hard to figure out what anything costs (prices aren’t posted anywhere that I’ve seen) and it attracts an odd crowd of what appears to be mostly rich transplant yuppies. It feels like a NYC bar someone plopped in New Orleans.I will say I did really enjoy the Christmas decorations. They did a nice job making the place feel festive and while I don’t like anything sweet, everyone I was with really enjoyed the holiday cocktail menu.Haven’t had the food so I can’t comment on that - I’m sure it’s perfectly good.Overall, I don’t dislike it, I just don’t love it either but I’m also a dive bar type of guy so take what I say with a grain of salt.“
“Enjoyed dinner here and had an incredible experience all the way around. Our server, Otto, had awesome energy and made us feel great about our choices. The Moon Moth drink was the best cocktail I’ve ever had and dinner/desert were delish.“
“Wow. That is my immediate take away. I just devoured the best savory scone I have ever tasted. It was so incredible that after I finished it I wanted to call them to tell them. I stopped in for my first time this morning after reading about Levee and living close by. Service, staff, and atmosphere were fantastic but that scone .... Just Wow.“
“This place is absolutely incredible. The food was spectacular and peanut butter protein smoothie was the best I’ve ever had. The staff is so incredibly kind. I also bought the juices from the fridge, I drank the Pina-kaleada one today and it was amazing. I got the chicken grain salad bowl and that was also to die for. 10000000% recommend“
“Recently indulged in the hot salmon breakfast bagel at Flour Moon Bagel, and it was a delightful experience! The flavors were on point, and I especially enjoyed pairing it with the Sirius Raising alcoholic drink. The combination elevated my brunch to another level. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere added to the positive vibes. Definitely recommend trying this spot!“
“I really like this place, one of my favorites in town. The service is absolutely fantastic, the teas are great, unfortunately today the key lime pie was not as great as always, the whip cream felt fake (from a can) not fresh and that was disappointing :c I still give them 5 of 5 because we really like the place and hopefully they keep the original quality of the key lime pie“
“We wandered from New Orleans to Algiers Point via the ferry. As we walked around we came across this gem. We just love the ambiance, the food was top notch and they had good beer. What a fantastic location!! I am a real estate agent and think every neighborhood should be developed like Algiers Point. There is a park for children on the corner across from Barracuda, and near by there is a church and a bar amidst adorable houses. Great location!!We did not get a picture of our food because we were too eager to eat. We just forgot!!“
“Great Irish pub. Friendly atmosphere, super nice staff, and a good place to watch a match. Opens early for Saturday/Sunday's premier league. But if you want to watch any other particular game, you can always ask the bar staff if they can put it on one of the 10 tv's. They also have two tv's outside.“
“Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing Olive, a new dining establishment nestled in the heart of NOLA at 339 Carondelet St. My visit left me thoroughly impressed by the culinary delights, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance. The food surpassed all expectations; I indulged in the falafel platter paired with two sides, and relished stuffed grape leaves also accompanied by two sides. Each dish was executed flawlessly, boasting impeccable flavors and textures. The service was exemplary. Our waiter exhibited attentiveness and warmth, ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. His insightful recommendations enhanced our culinary journey. The atmosphere exuded a cozy charm, fostering an intimate dining environment that enhanced the overall experience. In sum, my time at Olive was nothing short of delightful. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment to anyone seeking a delectable meal coupled with unparalleled hospitality.Vegetarian options: I was thoroughly impressed by the array of vegetarian choices at the Olive at 339 Carondelet St, New Orleans LA. Opting for the falafel platter accompanied by two sides, alongside stuffed grape leaves also served with two sides, I found each dish cooked impeccably. The vegetables boasted freshness and rich flavor, while the sauce offered a delicate creaminess. I wholeheartedly recommend [restaurant name] to fellow vegetarians; not only is the food delightful, but the service is outstanding, and the ambiance inviting. I am eagerly looking forward to returning soon!“
“Went here once with my dad, have been asking him to take us again. Very nice atmosphere and our drinks arrived fairly quickly. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had, it was very authentic tasting and rich in flavor. Would def reccomend.Kid-friendliness: I can tell you it is pretty kid friendly, they let me have a nice big sticker of their logo for free.“
“The food was good and nicely presented. It is cute and quaint. Orders are olaced at the counter, you seat yourself and they find you. I did find it odd I had to ask for syrup. Once I did, a condiment organizer was brought to my table complete with salt and pepper. The dogs with the man sitting at the next table were brought water and then some treats, without saying a word. The patrins were pleasant and conversational, the staff at the cafe were "matter of fact".“
“Go to the Rusty Nail for exceptional bourbons, knowledgeable, friendly staff, great prices & excellent service... it's well worth would it takes to find it. Also they have a 25% off whiskey Wednesdays!!! Wife and I happened to get there b4 opening on Wednesday. One of the staff ladies took us around inside to show us what Bourbons they had available. Treated us very very kindly...!!! Went back later after a terrible experience at Barrel proof and we just sat there for about 2 hours and enjoyed ourselves. When we get back to New Orleans we'll be back!!“
“My husband and I went to Saba for brunch after multiple recommendations from friends and strangers. Wow… it was absolutely delicious. Some of our favorites were the variety of sodas, crab hummus, eggplant dip and fried chicken. I can’t wait to come back for the pancakes! Our waitress (I wish I remember her name … she had pink hair) was incredibly kind. So thank you to her for the hospitality and other suggestions while we are in town. We will be back!“
“The staff is absolutely fanatic!! We wondered in on Friday afternoon and were welcomed with smiles. The owner was very attentive and quickly started a conversation with my Irish husband. He volunteered to play the Six Nations Rugby game that was to air and Saturday. So we returned Saturday, and got to watch the game while on vacation!!“
“Effervescence is a little off the beaten path but is worth the journey. They have an excellent selection of bubbly by the glass, it's not only Champagne but from all around the world. The brussels sprouts were some of the best I've eaten but the food in general was very good. The owner is very friendly, highly recommend making this part of your New Orleans food experience!“
“First time dining at Burbon Heat. We sat outside and it was perfect. Try the Bang Bang Shrimp! Just do it. I had chicken and sausage Gumbo with red beans and rice and a boudin egg roll. I didn't care to much for the red beans. It was a flavor issue. The Gumbo and the boudin egg roll stole the show. My friend had the same dish as myself but she had the fried fish. Omg when I tell you it was seasoned and fried to absolute perfection. I will definitely be stopping in on my next trip to NO.“
“We bought some art from a local art shop and he said "you need to go to Loretta's in the French Market for the praline beingets!!" What?? Yes, they put praline cream filling into a beignet. OMG...for real?? (Already had Cafe Du Monde) We had to go to check this out. We arrived semi-early on a Friday and placed our order with a friendly staff member behind the counter. She said, "do you have 5 or 10 minutes to wait?" "For what?," I said admittedly dumb(ly)! She smiled...oh, I got it...lol! About 5 minutes or so later, she came out from behind the counter to give us our 3 sweet pillows of praline filled powdered sugar magic (unfortunately, don't have a picture) in brown paper bag (enough said!). Dear God! This was so good, fresh, and just on a whole other culinary level!! You have got to get this!!!“
“The most delicious ice-cream anywhere around. We routinely order the Cookie Monster (aka cookies n cream) and couldn't be happier. What makes the Rahm Haus Cookie Monster extra cool is that it's colored blue and the blue color doesn't come from food coloring, but rather "blue spirulina phycocyanin" which is a type of blue algae. The flavor has a generous amount of cookie in it and is creamy, both of which I appreciate. The service is great too. The woman who waited on us was extremely professional, informative and otherwise friendly. The ambiance is charming. It's located in the Merchant House and the vibe is that of a trendy outside bar. We love it.“
“My wife and I stopped in during a walk on the Greenway. Wanted to check it out, taste maybe one beer, and be on our way.One of the founders, Aaron, was manning the taps and was so gracious and great to talk to that we stayed for four rounds. The selection and flavors were wonderful. Even met a fellow New Jerseyan at the bar!So glad we stopped in and will absolutely make it a priority to visit again during our next trip to NOLA.“
“Love this place! Ive been coming to them for years. My reasoning for the 4/5 stars is because post-Covid I’ve noticed a significant decrease in size of the sandwiches but they have stayed at the same price point. It used to be easy to share the sandwiches now its more of a single serving. Still outstanding food and service regardless!“
“If you ever find yourself in New Orleans find the Irish museum on Conti the st Patrick coffee house in the back of the court yard. Guinness on tap, a Guinness ice cream float for ladies and Irish whiskey. A quiet place in the chaos of Bourbon StreetParking: Very limited road parking“
“Decent hotel bar with a really nice view of the river. They have some interesting cocktails on the menu, and it was a good spot for an afternoon drink. We tried the Sassy Au Pere and Boheme Bongo cocktails; both were well made and reasonably priced at $16 each. The entrance is inside the mall and up an elevator. Because it's connected to the mall, there is also a parkade with lots of parking available.“
“Really cool outdoor space with good food, great for groups and vibey dates. If you want to eat outside, this is a top choice. You order at the window so the service is real quick and easy. Ordered a few tacos, the queso, and a bowl. So the tacos were ok, no real complaints. But the bowl is where it’s at. Beans and rice and guacamole and choice of protein and you can add broccoli and mushrooms. Great meal, really filling and delicious. The queso was unique, I added the chili and it came with pomegranate so it was a mixture of spice and sweet. Also, don’t sleep on the frozen mango margarita. Delish. This’ll be the happening spot as the weather warms up!“
“Wow, what a surprise - the beer aficionado's brewery to visit away from the touristy part of town. Focusing heavily on mixed fermentation (read: tart/brett styles) and saisons, with a smattering of enough others to satisfy groups. Serene outdoor area, except when the trains go right by the door (such is life). And a great value. Loved it.“
“Stopped here on a recommendation from a colleague, so glad I did!Nice little restaurant, great atmosphere and vibe. Staff was EXCEPTIONALLY friendly and pleasant.Food was great. Portion size nice and big.Got the competition wings and a three meat plate. Wings were good, a tad expensive, but good. Boudin isn’t really for me, it isn’t taste bad, texture just wasn’t a me thing. This is a great spot, it’ll be a “must-go” when I overnight here.“
“This is the place to go for fresh, tasty Beignets. The other place is famous, but the beignets here are tastier. Such a cute location on Royal Street. In addition, the sandwiches, breakfast, coffee are all tasty. Highest recommendation for this wonderful place!“
“We loved this place. We are a family of seven and had four friends with us, too. But they took good care of us. The place is small but cozy. And super good food. The service was okay. The guy seemed to be trying but just messed up little things repeatedly. He apologized multiple times and was very nice about everything. He must have just had an off day.“
“This has always been our "go to" spot for excellent coffees & unique delicious breakfast choices. Our fave is the Breakfast in a Cup; 16 oz of blended goodness: Scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, cheese, gravy, all teaming up on your taste buds.“
“WE LOVE UNDERGROWTH COFFEE!They have the best breakfast burritos from California to Louisiana .I am a burrito connoisseur. I have a Hispanic background and I spend way too much money on eating out and have travelled the world.Originally from Southern California and work for a Texas based company, I have had plenty of burritos and none compare to the perfect combination of rosemary potatoes, smoky flavored bacon, savory eggs, sharp white cheddar all wrapped in an herb tortilla. Seriously, I have ordered $100 worth of these burritos at a time so that I can have them multiple days in a row. My girlfriend and I love them and the staff there is wonderful and always accommodating.CZ“
“Fantastic place with an unbelievably talented chef and kitchen. Fantastic cocktails. Fantastic wine to go with meals. All in all we've been getting to restaurants that Ganesh has been involved with for the past 30+ yrs. It would be difficult to come up with a place we could rate any higher.“
“Jesse and Ciara are absolutely amazing. Totally knowledgeable about their craft, and overwhelmingly passionate about their products.Even during mardi gras- the busiest time of the year in this city- my guest and I felt wholly prioritized. You drink here NOW!“
“First time here. Ordered the Quesa tacos with chicken. Price wasn’t bad for 3 flour tacos. Service was good and the menu choices were great. The quesadilla was small for the price. Could have been bigger with added sides other than a dollop of guacamole. Other than that, great experience and food!“
